We were in the story of Adam (pbuh). In our last lesson related to the topic, we

talked about the ways of protection from the Satan. Today, if Allah Azzawajal ordains, we were in this part of the story, I will tell you what comes next, in sha Allah. Allah ordered Adam (pbuh) not to eat from the tree. He said to both him and his wife: ولا تقربا هذه الشجرة "But do not approach this tree..." He said to Adam (pbuh). And the Satan did everything in his power to make them eat from that tree, he approached them in every way. And as a result, Adam (pbuh) and his wife, our mother, ate from that tree. "And they [i.e., Adam and his wife] ate of it..." Allah says: فبدت لهما سوآتهما وطفقا يخصفان عليهما من ورق الجنة "And they [i.e., Adam and his wife] ate of it,

and their private parts became apparent to them..." It means before that, Allah Azzawajal had covered them with a dress. But the moment they ate from the fruit of that tree - the forbidden fruit - Allah removed the veil that He had covered and adorned them with. And they began to fasten over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. That is, how do we cover ourselves? While they were busy with this, while they were looking for a veil, Allah Azzawajal addressed them in the following way this time: قلنا اهبطوا منها جميعا "We said, Go down from it, all of you.' " says Allah Azzawajal. When Adam (pbuh) ate from the tree that Allah forbade, Allah expelled him from Paradise, and Allah brought him down from Paradise to earth. Today I will focus only on this part of the story. And our topic will be, in sha Allah, the harms of disobedience to what Allah has forbidden. Pay attention to this story, brothers. Allah Azzawajal has put this story in the

introduction of the Qur'an and in surah al-Baqara. What is surah al-Baqara for the Qur'an? Surah al-Baqara is the introduction to the Qur'an. Surah al-Baqara is the preface to the Qur'an. For example, you want to read a book. The author writes the preface to the book first. In the preface he wrote, he shows you what you will encounter in the book with some words and signs. Likewise, Allah Azzawajal has put surah

al-Fatiha and al-Baqara at the entrance of the Qur'an. The summary of all the issues that will come later are in these two surahs. As soon as you start the Qur'an al-Kareem, you start with the following: Firstly, even if a person is a prophet, he can commit a sin. Even if a person is a prophet, he can do things that Allah Azzawajal has forbidden him. Naturally, Allah Azzawajal wants to tell you the following: O man, you can sin too, you can be a sinner too, understand correctly what a sin is and how to get rid of it. Secondly, Allah Azzawajal teaches us the following: O human! Every sin you commit against Allah has a return. Every sin you commit against Allah certainly has a return. Ibn Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) says, "A servant must know the following: what the effect of poison on the body is,

the effect of sin on the hearts is the same. Was it anything other than their sins that brought our mother and father down from the land of blessings and pleasures - the

Paradise to the land of troubles and sorrows - the earth? Was it anything other than their sins that drowned the people of Noah (pbuh) in the raging waves, destroyed the people of Ad and the people of Thamud with an ear-piercing scream, crushed the people of Lot (pbuh) under stones, and drowned Pharaoh and his people in the sea?" That is, he tells us the following: If you look at the previous nations you will see that all societies destroyed by Allah Azzawajal were destroyed because of their sins and their rebellion against Allah. Therefore, brothers, perhaps we can put some distance

between ourselves and sins if we know the following: What are the harms of sins to a human in the world? What are the equivalents of sins in worldly life? Firstly, sins kill the heart, brothers. You also know that the center of a human is the heart of a human. If the heart finds righteousness, all the deeds of a

human being will also be righteous and will be corrected. If the heart becomes vicious once, all the deeds of a human being will be spoiled. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) says in a

hadith narrated by Imam Muslim from Hudhayfah: تعرض الفتن على القلوب كالحصير عودا عودا "Temptations will be presented to men's

hearts as reed mat is woven stick by stick..." That is, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) says that there is your heart and there is fitnah. Whether it is lust, things that Allah Azzawajal has forbidden, or doubts that confuse people, they do not come and invade the heart at once. Grain by grain, piece by piece, line by line, it is presented to the heart. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) says: فأي قلب أشربها نكت فيه نكتة سوداء "...any heart which is impregnated by them will have a black mark put into it..." For example, you met a beautiful woman on the way. It is a fitnah for you. In other words, the fitnah of your heart at

that moment is the woman you see on the way. As soon as you look at her, it means that your heart drank that fitnah. And a black mark is put on your heart. Let us say you sit in an assembly with Muslims. Backbiting in the assembly you are sitting in is a

fitnah that is presented to your heart at that moment. When you listen to that backbiting, when you do

not leave the environment, when you do not object, a black mark is put on your heart instantly. وأي قلب أنكرها نكت فيه نكتة بيضاء "but any heart which rejects them..." - that is, if he turned his face away when he

was confronted with the haram and disgrace, he closed his ears, closed his eyes, and withdrew his hand - "...will have a white mark put in it." The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) says: حتى تصير على قلبين "The result is that there will become two types of hearts..." The hearts that are subjected to fitnah eventually become two hearts: "...one..." ﻗﻠﺐ أﺑﻴﺾ ﮐﺎﻟﺼﻔﺎ "...white like a white stone..." لا تضره فتنة ما دامت السموات والأرض "...which will not be harmed by any turmoil or

temptation, so long as the heavens and the earth endure..." It is so sensitive to the rebellions against Allah Azzawajal that with the sensitivity it shows against every rebellion, Allah Azzawajal puts a white mark into his heart. And after these white dots the heart becomes a rock. Just as the wind does not affect the rock, the rain does not affect the rock, people cannot move the rock, whether it is lust or doubt, it does no harm to a person. و قلب أسود مربادا كالكوز مجخيا "...and the other black and dust-colored like a vessel..." In other words, our Prophet says that he rebelled against Allah Azzawajal so much that Allah Azzawajal turned his heart upside down. "...and the other black and dust-colored..." he says. لا يعرف معروفا ولا ينكر منكرا "...not recognizing what is good or rejecting what is abominable..." إلا ما أشرب من هواه "...but being impregnated with passion..." Look brothers, if you noticed, the Messenger of Allah

(pbuh) likened these hearts to a sponge. The Prophet (pbuh) says that whatever environment you put it in, it absorbs the good and the bad of that environment like a sponge. And every sin we do triggers the next one, so to speak. A sin we have committed today, a disgrace actually means the beginning of a problem in our hearts in the future. The Messenger of Allah says this in another

hadith narrated by Imam Ahmad and Tirmidhi: When the servant commits a sin, a black mark is put,

and when he does not commit a sin, a white mark is put, he tells this part. He then continues: فإن تاب ، ونزع ، واستغفر صقل قلبه "If he repents and gives up that sin and seeks forgiveness, his heart will be polished." وإن زاد زادت حتى يغلف قلبه "But if (the sin) increases, (the black spot) increases." says the Prophet (pbuh). Look, brothers, this heart is the center of both good and evil. Naturally, all the sins and grievances we have committed injure our hearts, our hearts. After that, no matter how much we want to do something good, once the heart gets dark, it no longer allows it. Think of it like a brain. No matter how much training you give to a man who has brain disturbance, no matter how much you care, his behavior will not improve, you cannot correct his behavior because there is a problem

at the center of his behavior, it is impossible. Such is the case with a person with a diseased heart. No matter how much good you give him, no matter how much you take him to good environment, it will not do him any good. For his heart is spoiled in the first place. Naturally, his behavior is also spoiled. I will reiterate an example that I have often told regarding this. Because this is an example that a Muslim should really pay attention to. At the end of surah At-Tawbah, Allah Azzawajal divides the people who deal with the Prophet (pbuh) into two parts: Look, brothers, pay attention to these verses. Allah Azzawajal says: وإذا ما أنزلت سورة فمنهم من يقول أيكم زادته هذه إيمانا "And whenever a surah is revealed, there are

among them [i.e., the hypocrites] those who say..." - these are the people of the Prophet, that is, the people in Madinah - "...'Which of you has this increased in faith?' " فأما الذين آمنوا فزادتهم إيمانا وهم يستبشرون "As for those who believed, it has increased them in faith, while they are rejoicing." That is, the good news and promise of Allah is always on them. وأما الذين في قلوبهم مرض "But as for those in whose hearts is disease..." فزادتهم رجسا إلى رجسهم وماتوا وهم كافرون "...it has [only] increased them in evil [in addition] to

their evil. And they will have died while they are disbelievers." Look, brothers, I am talking about Madinah in these verses I have told. There is a mosque of the Prophet. Who is the speaker? The Prophet (pbuh). What he speaks are the verses of Allah, and the people who listen to him are people

who were brought up in the discipline of our Prophet. They are the people who went to jihad, prayed and spent with the Prophet. When the Prophet recited the verse, the faith of one group of people increased, and the disease of another group of people increased. So, the faith of a group of people increases,

the disease of another group of people increases. So what is the difference between them? Allah Azzawajal says the following about people whose illness increases: وأما الذين في قلوبهم مرض "But as for those in whose hearts is disease..." That is, if a person has made his heart sick with sins, even if you bring the Prophet to that person,

even if the Prophet recites the verses of Allah to him, you will not see any good or any positive effect on that person. Because the heart, which is the center of his life, is spoiled in the first place. For example, most Muslims often ask the following question: - At the same time, what I have explained is the answer to this question. - We listen to lectures, read the Qur'an al-Kareem, read books, listen to sermons, either we are not affected at all, that is, there is no movement in our hearts, or we are affected by the environment, we feel something in the environment, but after we get up and leave from that

environment, we completely forget its effect. Why, brothers? This is not about us. This is about hearts. From here, we must understand the following: It means that we have darkened our hearts so much with rebellions, we have turned our hearts so much upside down with rebellions that the verses of Allah, the hadiths of the Prophet or the sermons of the believers have no effect on our hearts. And this is the biggest disappointment for man. Think, why did Allah send down this Qur'an? When Allah sent down this Qur'an, He sent it down for the following: وننزل من القرآن ما هو شفاء ورحمة للمؤمنين And We send down of the Qur’an that

which is healing and mercy for the believers..." says Allah Azzawajal. هذا بیان للناس و هدی و موعظه للمتقین "This [Qur’an] is a clear statement to [all] the people and a guidance and instruction for those conscious of Allah." says Allah Azzawajal. I read the Qur'an during prayer, I read the Qur'an during the day, I read the Qur'an in the assemblies I have been, when I read a book, I read the verses of the Qur'an al-Kareem. However, the verses of the Qur'an al-Kareem do not affect me or change me, for example. If I have been deprived of this goodness, it means that I have wasted my heart with the black spots and the evil of disobedience. Therefore, brothers, if we want to benefit from this Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, we first have to distance ourselves from sins. We have to distance ourselves from sins so that our hearts can shine. Let it shine so that it meets the Book, which is Allah's light, and the Sunnah of His Messenger. That is, a work, a result should come out. Secondly, brothers, one of the worst dangers of disobedience for one is that disobedience puts a savagery between man and Allah, alienates one from Allah, disobedience puts a distance between Allah and man. Look, brothers, when Allah Azzawajal introduces

Himself to us, He introduces Himself as follows and says: ولقد خلقنا الإنسان ونعلم ما توسوس به نفسه ۖ ونحن أقرب إليه من حبل الوريد "And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him..." says Allah Azzawajal. Even the thoughts he goes through are clear to us. ونحن أقرب إليه من حبل الوريد "...and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein." says Allah Azzawajal. In another verse, Allah Azzawajal says: وهو معكم أين ما كنتم "...and He is with you wherever you are." Is it normal for a person to feel distant from Allah when Allah Azzawajal is so close to humans, while they are together like this, brothers? It is impossible. Normally, a person needs to feel close to Allah Azzawajal as if Allah Azzawajal is with him, as if he is in front of Allah Azzawajal, and as if he is going to - I am talking about resignation - lean on Allah Azzawajal, the Lord of the worlds. Because this is how Allah Azzawajal introduces Himself. But imagine a servant who feels distant from Allah Azzawajal. In other words, there is almost no closeness between Allah and him. Could there be any greater harm than this? There can be no greater harm than this. This is the effect of sins on man. Just as obedience brings one closer to Allah, makes one of pious, elevates one gradually, disobedience does the opposite. With every sin one commits, a person

moves a little further away from Allah Azzawajal. And what is the most dangerous, brothers? Man cannot serve Allah with His names and attributes. Let us say someone asks you the following: Why did Allah Azzawajal create you? You will say: Allah created me to serve Him. So how do you serve Allah? I serve Allah with His names and attributes. Because Allah Azzawajal has introduced

Himself to us with His names and attributes. The person who disobeys... For example, pay attention, I will give

some examples of Allah's names and attributes. For example, what is an attribute of Allah, brothers? Allah is al-Qareeb, He is near to servant. A person who knows this name and

attribute of Allah serves Allah Azzawajal accordingly. A person who knows Allah, who is al-Qareeb, prays to Allah Azzawajal. For He is near to him, He hears his voice; When

he is in trouble, he immediately takes refuge in Him. For example, he does good deeds in the best way. That is, he does it with beneficence. Why? "For Allah Azzawajal is close to me, He sees what I do and is aware of what I do." he thinks this

way and does what he does in the best way. For example, he will do a mischief. "Allah Azzawajal is so close to me that it is only a matter of time before He torments me for this sin that I will commit, takes me away, and puts a curtain on my search for good." he says and serves Allah carefully. However, a person who commits a sin cancels this attribute of Allah from his life. That is, is it possible for a person who commits the same sins every day and rebels against Allah with the same sins every day, to observe the attribute of nearness of Allah on himself? It is impossible. In time, he will not want Allah to be close anyway. "If only Allah were not close to me, far from me..." a person falls into a consciousness that he cannot confess to himself. He cancels it. Along with sin, he cancels it, at the same time he is deprived of many good deeds that he would have done, and will have done many sins that he should not have done. That is why, brothers, sins put a distance between the servant and Allah. It alienates the servant from Allah, whereas

Allah is closer to the servant than his aorta. Likewise, sins also distance people from people. You know that people are of two types: People are either righteous, pious people, or people are wicked. He puts a distance between himself and

wicked people and becomes alienated from them. Because one cannot be sure of their hand and tongue. A person who is a sinner thinks that

because people are not sure of his hand and tongue, he is tearing all the curtains and boundaries of Allah, that he is constantly tearing the curtains of others against him, and that others are breaking the boundaries of him. This is a psychological condition. In other words, people look at life from their own perspective. Let me give an example. Think of 4-5 backbiting friends. They sit together and backbite and talk about Muslims. One of them gets up and leaves. The first thing that comes to his mind as soon as he leaves is the following: "I wonder if they talk behind my back after I leave the way we talk behind back of others when we are together..." Look, he is not even sure about his friends with whom he sinned and shared the same environment. Because he has committed the same crime with them, this time he feels the same distress. For example, a person who looks at the women and daughters of others, lacks a sense of chastity, and covets people's honor, can trust neither his own people, his Muslim brothers, nor his wicked, disbelieving brothers. Why? Because when he looks at people's women, he violates a border, a curtain set by Allah. Every time he turns his back, he thinks that someone is looking at his honor, every time he turns his back, he thinks that someone will attack his chastity, and life becomes unbearable. A distance forms between him and the sinners, he begins to feel a strangeness and brutality towards them. The same towards righteous people. Sinful people have nothing to do with righteous people. Ibn Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) says: "Just as a healthy body is disturbed by garbage, filth, stinking and bad scenery, a healthy heart is disturbed by a wicked, perverted heart." For example, let us say a man's nose is breathing. A man's eyes see. When you take this man and put him in a slaughterhouse, when you put him in an offal shop, when you put him in a garbage dump, is it possible for this man to wait there without being disturbed? It is impossible. Because the nose created by Allah is happy with good smells, bad smells bother it. So is the eye. Beautiful scenes please one, bad scenes disturb one. So is the heart, brothers. If this heart created by Allah Azzawajal is still intact and not sick, it finds peace with righteous people, and when it enters among them, it feels an indescribable joy. It is the same with the spoiled heart. He feels peace among wicked people, but when he comes to Muslims, to righteous people, it is as if his heart is in a vice, it gets stuck more and more. That is why brothers, if we want to remove the distance between us and Allah, be friends with righteous people, have a distance between us and wicked people and get away from them, first of all, we need to distance ourselves from sins. Thirdly, sins deprive a person of things when he needs them most. Whatever you need, what you need is with Allah Azzawajal and what is with Allah can only be obtained by obeying Him. Let us say you got married. What do you need when you get married, brothers? When you get married, you need happiness, joy, love, affection. Because Allah Azzawajal says so. This is why Allah has made marriage legitimate. ومن آياته أن خلق لكم من أنفسكم أزواجا لتسكنوا إليها وجعل بينكم مودة ورحمة ۚ إن في ذلك لآيات لقوم يتفكرون "And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates..." Allah Azzawajal's creation of women is one of Allah Azzawajal's verses. Why did Allah Azzawajal create women? Why did He make wives to men? لتسكنوا إليها Firstly, "...that you may find tranquility in them..." That is, you are on the street, in the throes of business, stress, problem, payments, rent etc. When you enter the house in the

evening and see the woman, you may find peace. So all that stress, anger will go away. This is why Allah Azzawajal has made marriage legitimate. So is the woman. I mean, woman, children, housework, cleaning... The woman will be depressed and stressed. When her husband enters the house in the

evening, when she sees her husband's face, there will be a calmness in the woman, she will forget all her stress. What else? وجعل بينكم مودة ورحمة "...and He placed between you affection and mercy." So that you feel compassion for each other, and Allah Azzawajal has placed mercy between you. You have a feeling of pity for each other, you approach each other with compassion. Nice. So these three things are what I need from Allah when I get married: Tranquility, love and compassion with it. A person who sins cannot find any of these. Allah Azzawajal deprives him of these things he needs. Now sometimes a man says, "I got married, I was very careful while getting married. I talked to the woman many times, but life is poison to me." "Why?" "This is the culture of this woman." "Why?" "This woman is so impudent." "Why?" "This woman is so froward." None of these brother. Only because you have rebelled against Allah, because you are a sinful servant, Allah Azzawajal has taken the happiness you need from your life. This is the only reason. Sufyan al-Thawri says: "I rebel against Allah, and I see the effect of that rebellion sometimes in the disobedience of my horse, and sometimes in the disobedience of my wife." In other words, I rebel against Allah, commit a sin. Then I see that the horse I ride... - What do you need when you get on the horse? You need the horse to get you where you want in a harmonious way. - ...disobeys me. I know that this is because of my sin. I come home, my wife disobeys me. I know that this is again because of my sin. Therefore, if there is no peace in our families today, brothers, it is because of our sins. For example, brothers, what does a working man need? He needs to provide his sustenance without being dependent on anyone, without falling into debt. Sin is the veil between one and sustenance. People who are sinful; Either Allah Azzawajal deprives them of sustenance, or even though He gives sustenance, what is

more dangerous, again, He deprives them of sustenance. The man has enough money for his whole family, but the man is greedy. The man has enough money for his whole family, but if you went and talked to him, you would want to give him your pocket money. Because the man is hungry. This is more dangerous than the first. That is, Allah deprives man in two ways. He either takes the sustenance from one or

gives it, but the person acts as if it does not exist. The second is a greater disgrace. Look, brothers, in a hadith narrated by Imam Ahmad, our Prophet (pbuh) says: إن العبد ليحرم الرزق بالذنب يصيبه "The servant may be deprived of sustenance because of a sin he has committed." With whom is the sustenance, brothers? The sustenance is with Allah. وفي السماء رزقكم وما توعدون "Your sustenance and the promises made to

you are all in the sky, they are with Allah Azzawajal." If you want to demand the sustenance that is with Allah Azzawajal, you must first remove the curtains between you and Allah. So you have to obey Allah. If you rebel against Allah and wait for Allah to provide you with sustenance, alas, you will wait too long. Allah Azzawajal says the following about sons of Israel: ولو أن أهل القرى آمنوا واتقوا لفتحنا عليهم بركات من السماء والأرض "Had the people of those societies been faithful and mindful ˹of Allah˺..." -that is, if they had fulfilled their obedience and avoided disobedience- "...We would have overwhelmed them with

blessings from heaven and earth." says Allah Azzawajal. If Allah has not opened the blessings of the earth and the sky, if there is no blessing in many things in our lives, brothers, this is because of the sins we have committed. What does the student of knowledge need most, brothers? He needs knowledge, conquest, understanding and memorization. Sins deprive the student of knowledge from these needs. Imam Shafi'i says, "I was in the presence of Malik one day." As you know, Imam Shafi'i (may Allah

have mercy on him) is a student of Imam Malik. Imam Malik sees that this Shafi'i is a very smart, very intelligent young man. That is, he never forgets what he reads. He understands the things he listens to the way they are. He said, "O young man! I see that Allah has put a light in your heart. Do not put out that light with the darkness of sins. O young man! I see that Allah has put a light in your heart. You have such a brilliant mind, you understand so well, you memorize so well. It is definitely with the light that Allah has placed in your heart. Do not put it out with the darkness of sins." he says. Again, brothers, one day Imam Shafi'i comes to Waki', his khodja, who is one of the big imams of early times. Now, when Shafi'i reads a book, think like this: It is in two pages. He puts his hand on a page and reads a page like this. That is, because he memorizes the first time he sees, - you know, it happens that when

you read a page your eye slides to the other page - he reads this way because memorizations can mix. Do not find this weird. So are the people in Mauritania right now. You know, because pen and paper are not used in Mauritania, everything is based on memorization, people... A friend of ours tells us. He studied in Saudi Arabia. He says, "We ate chocolate with a friend in the dormitory." The friend was from Mauritania. While he was eating the chocolate, he read small writings on the back of the chocolate. When he finished I said, "So, is there this or that ingredient in it?" So he started to tell one by one. I said, "How do you know?" He said, "Akhi, I memorized it." "He told me those small writings by heart with one try." he says. The man have never used pen and paper. Because he has memorized throughout

his life, his memorization skills became stronger. Imam Shafi'i also had such an intelligence. One day, he comes to his teacher, he fails memorization. He reads but fails. Waki' asks him, "O Shafi'i, did anything happen to you today?" Imam Shafi'i says, "O Imam, when I was on the way, I saw a woman walking in front of me. Her heel got exposed as she walked." Only heel, nothing else. "The woman's heel was so beautiful that I looked at her heel. Only this happened." he says. And Waki' says to him, "O Shafi'i! Undoubtedly, knowledge is the light of Allah. Allah does not give his light to those who are rebellious." "O Shafi'i! Undoubtedly, knowledge is the light of Allah and Allah Azzawajal does not give his light to those who are rebellious." Therefore, brothers, for example, let us say: Our students complain a lot. Like, "In the past, there was no pen and paper. The air was clear. People... their memorization skills was very strong because of that. We are used to technology, we use hands, that is why..." There is nothing like that, brothers. The one who memorizes still does so, the one who comprehends still does so. ذلك فضل الله يؤتيه من يشاء "That is the bounty of Allah, which He gives to whom He wills..." The problem is sins, brothers. When the hearts become dark with the darkness of sins, the light of knowledge goes out in those hearts. When the light of knowledge goes out, it either affects the understanding or affects the memory and memorization. Therefore, if the need of a student of knowledge needs comprehension, first, he has to put a distance between himself and sins. What does a mujaheed need most, brothers? What a mujaheed needs most is Allah Azzawajal's help. If Allah Azzawajal does not help Muslims - I mean all of human history - it is not possible for Muslims to overcome the disbelievers with their preparation and power. Because this is against the Sunnah of Allah. Allah has made the disbelievers strong and the Muslims weak. Physically, in terms of power, in terms of technology... It is a rule that will not change from Adam (pbuh) until the Day of Judgment. When Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) sends

Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) to Iraq, he writes a letter to Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him). In this letter he tells Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas the following: "O Sa'd, I command you and the army that is with you taqwa. Because taqwa is the strongest preparation and the greatest trick in war. We can only defeat our enemies with taqwa, and we will prevail over them with their sins. If we are equal with them in sins, no doubt their power and strength are superior to us, then they will prevail over us." This is what the Companions understood from the Book and the Sunnah. So the men sat and thought. We go to battles. We are three hundred, they are a thousand,

we are a thousand, they are three thousand, we are ten thousand, they are a hundred thousand, for example. We have one mount, they have a hundred mounts. We have ten archers, they have thousand. We eat three dates with thousand people, they slaughter and eat ten camels with thousand people, for example. How is it that we overpower them when there is so much difference between us? Because it is not possible to explain this with the worldly mind. That is, they must prevail over us with the worldly mind. They understood the following: This means that we are people of taqwa, and they rebel against Allah. As they rebel against Allah, Allah Azzawajal makes us victorious over them, helps us with His angels. If we rebel against Allah and lower ourselves to the same level with them, Allah Azzawajal will withdraw His help. If Allah withdraws His otherworldly spiritual help, worldly powers will face each other. And if the worldly powers face each other, it is not possible for us to defeat them. Think of the Day of Uhud, brothers. Allah Azzawajal did not help Muslims on the Day of Uhud, for example. Why did not Allah Azzawajal help Muslims on the Day of Uhud? Muslims thought, "So why are we like this? Why did this happen to us?" Allah sent down the verse: وما أصابكم من مصيبة فبما كسبت أيديكم "And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned." You have sinned before. These sins have become reserved in the sight of Allah. and the day came when you needed Allah's help. Allah has deprived you of his help. إن الذين تولوا منكم يوم التقى الجمعان إنما استزلهم الشيطان ببعض ما كسبوا "Indeed, those of you who turned back on the day the two armies met [at Uḥud] - it was Satan who caused them to slip because of some [blame] they had earned." says Allah Azzawajal. That is, they sinned and sinned and sinned and gave Satan a way to themselves. When that day came, they were in need of Allah's help. When Allah withdrew His help, they were left alone against the Satan. Satan made them slip and they were left helpless on the Day of Uhud, says Allah Azzawajal. That is why, brothers, Muslims talk about it a lot today, "The disbelievers are very powerful, they have the technology, we are like this..." It is not about any of these. وما يعلم جنود ربك إلا هو "And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him." If Allah Azzawajal wills, He will help Muslims in ways that mind and comprehension cannot grasp. Let me ask you a question now. On the Day of Badr... Which is the greatest victory in Islam? It is the victory on the Day of Badr. Three hundred people met a thousand people. Allah Azzawajal has granted them a victory that will encompass all of history. How did Allah Azzawajal help Muslims on the Day of Badr, brothers? With a sleep. Can you even understand it? What does sleep do to one in war? In war, the sleeper dies. That is how we normally think. When a man sleeps in war, he must die. However, Allah Azzawajal put Muslims to sleep on the Day of Badr and brought victory to Muslims with their sleep. How? The Satan constantly misgives, "They are too strong, too many, they will devastate you, you have already come out for the loot, not for the war. You have encountered war. Allah says, "We have sent down on you a sleep." The Companions say, "Our swords were falling from our hands." That is, while we were standing, we became dizzy. As soon as they raise their heads they see

as if there is a hundred men in front of them. Allah Azzawajal says, "And [remember] when He showed them to you, when you met,

as few in your eyes, and He made you [appear] as few in their eyes..." That is, when you looked at them, you saw a hundred people, not a thousand. This is how Allah Azzawajal gave Muslims a victory. When they opened their eyes, they realized

that footsteps were coming from other directions. That is, the footsteps of the horsemen are coming from other sides. The Companions say, "By Allah, we raised our swords, and before we lowered our swords, we would see that the disbelievers in front of us had fallen." So, brothers, if Allah Azzawajal wills, He will help Muslims in war with things that

cannot be comprehended by the human mind. Therefore, if Muslims cannot achieve victory and success today, it is because of the sinners among us. If Muslims cannot achieve victory and success, it is because of the sinners among us. Or it is that some of us prioritize matters of faith and delay moral and practical matters. Faith only takes us to the battlefield, brothers. That is, you believe, you say, this is the truth and this is the falsehood. This creed will take you to the battlefield. Victory, booty, dignity on earth, being the heir of the earth... These are things that are achieved through deeds rather than creed. After you go out on the battlefield, if you worship Allah with taqwa and set up a curtain between you and sins, then Allah Azzawajal will send down help to you, brothers. Otherwise, it is not possible for Allah to send His help to you. Again, brothers, let me say one more thing, in sha Allah. Sins cause mischief on land and in the sea. Allah Azzawajal says in the verse: هر الفساد في البر والبحر بما كسبت أيدي الناس "Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned..." For example, especially the brothers who follow the news or try to read it see the following: There is global warming, energy resources

are running out, water is running out in the world, it will not be green in a hundred years,

there will be no fish due to thermal power plants, the atmosphere has been perforated due to the

deterioration of oxygen, the world is heading towards destruction, space is expanding endlessly.. . You see this kind of things. People take action, gather, etc. When these people are asked what the reason for all this is, they say to you: It is wild consumption. That is, people consume so much that careless consumption disrupts the order of the nature, they say. However, brothers, this is not the answer to this question. The disruption of the order of the nature is due to the sins committed by people. Why? For Allah is the creator of the nature. Everything on earth and in the heavens obeys Allah Azzawajal. If you remember, I told you something about this in our last lesson. That is, everything in the universe serves Allah Azzawajal. وإن من شيء إلا يسبح بحمده ولكن لا تفقهون تسبيحهم "The seven heavens and the earth and whatever is in them exalt Him." That is, they exalt Allah Azzawajal and praise Allah. We even said that birds are included in this. When Allah Azzawajal describes the birds in the sky: كل قد علم صلاته وتسبيحه "Each [of them] has known his [means of]

prayer and exalting [Him]..." says Allah Azzawajal. He talks about birds. Think about it, everything on earth and in the heavens has been created to glorify Allah Azzawajal and serve Him. So is human. When a person disrupts this and rebels against Allah, he disrupts the order of the nature. There happens mischief and disorder in the nature. For example, they say: There are ten earthquakes a day, five floods, seven of this and that... That is, humanity is heading towards disaster, towards destruction. How do they explain the reason? The boiling of the energy under the ground, the sliding of the soil, etc. These are apparent reasons. So why would Allah move the soil? For example, a question: If Allah was going to demolish these buildings,

why did He give us the opportunity to build them? If Allah was going to raze these countries to the

ground with an earthquake, why did He create them? If Allah Azzawajal was going to shift this soil hence causing erosion, then why did Allah Azzawajal create this soil and place it here? If He was going to destroy them, why did Allah Azzawajal create them? Allah did not create them to destroy, brothers. Allah created them so that people can build and benefit from them. But when people rebelled on the earth of Allah, under His dome, Allah Azzawajal turned the things He

created upside down and made people suffer. Our mother Zaynab says, narrated by Imam Bukhari, "The Prophet got up from his sleep..." He sleeps in his bed. "The Prophet got up from his sleep with a flushed red face and said, 'Allahu Akbar' " In another narration: لا اله الا الله ويل للعرب من شر قد اقترب "Woe to the Arabs, from the Great evil that is nearly approaching them." This means that he had a dream, understood that an evil would approach the Arabs, and the Prophet (pbuh) warned people about it. What is the reason? The Prophet (pbuh) says: "Today..." - The narrator says that our Prophet made a ring on his hand. - "Today a gap has been made in the wall of

Gog and Magog like this." says the Prophet (pbuh). You know, Gog and Magog are a group of creatures that Allah Azzawajal will send so that they destroy and harm people before the Day of Judgment. When our mother Zaynab hears this, she cannot associate these two things: We are in Madinah, all the people whom Allah loves and is pleased with are here. Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali are all here. On the one hand, our Prophet says: A gap opened, Gog and Magog will come, Arabs will perish. Our mother Zaynab asks: أنهلك وفينا الصالحون؟ "Shall we be destroyed though there are righteous people among us?" Let us say Gog and Magog are out. Shall we be destroyed though there are righteous people among us? The Prophet (pbuh) said, "Yes, if evil increased." Even if there are righteous people in some parts of the world today, when filth, sin, and obscenity increase, brothers, Allah Azzawajal sends earthquakes and death there. And many of these disasters that people have experienced are due to this. A question was asked in our last lesson, if you remember I told it. For example, a question was asked about Egypt. And I don't understand the following: Some of us who defend Tawhid make some statements about Egypt. By Allah, I feel like I'm going to lose my mind. That is, people who we believe know Tawhid, who we believe know about Islam, and who we think wrote books on Tawhid say, "Those who died in Egypt are oppressed, tyrants kill the oppressed. Muslim martyrs killed in the squares in Egypt..." These are "democracy martyrs", brothers. If dying on this way is martyrdom, then let us not have such difficulties. Let us go and treat with democracy. Is that so? If the people who died there are martyrs, oppressed, if the people who killed them are enemies of Islam, then why do we suffer so much? If those who die in demonstrations for democracy become martyrs, if those who are killed for democracy are killed for the sake of Islam, then let us be democrats too. Allah Azzawajal says: فأهلكناهم بذنوبهم "...then We destroyed them for their sins..." The events taking place in Egypt today

are the return of people's sin of democracy. Those people rebelled against Allah, changed the way of the Prophet (pbuh), rejected the Prophet's way, went and brought a way from the west, made laws in parliaments that made Allah Azzawajal's halals haram and His harams halal, they imprisoned people who are friends to and beloved by Allah, made a covenant with Allah's enemies and stroke Muslims, after which Allah Azzawajal destroyed them for their sins. They are now guilty of the sin of democracy. We do not care about their martyrdom, their Islam or what happened to them. If we are to be sad, we should be sad that they died on this cause. If we are to be sad, we should be sad that they are the people of the fire. If we are to be sad, we should be upset that they have disaffirmed the offer of the religion and went to Allah's presence as polytheists. "They died as oppressed, those who killed them became enemies of Islam..." We do not have such a problem, brothers. People who say this - whom I am giving the benefit of doubt - I think that they do not look at the issue from this point of view and do not realize that they legitimize the way of those people when they say, "We will stand against disbelievers, tyrants..." I give them the benefit of doubt. Because otherwise, if a person believes that those who died there are martyrs, he cannot be a Muslim. If a person believes that a man who died for the sake of democracy is a martyr, that the war for democracy is an Islamic war, and that the demonstration for democracy is an Islamic demonstration, it is absolutely impossible for that person to be a Muslim or to understand anything about Islam. Therefore, brothers, sins bring the punishment of Allah Azzawajal to people and destroy the order of the nature. If we want peace in the world today, whether materially or spiritually, people must first turn to taqwa, people must get rid of sins. Actually, brothers, there were some more things I wanted to tell. I already skipped some so that we keep it short also for we do not have enough time. But, frankly, I just wanted to tell you here the following: This is not a subject that can be explained with conversation or lecture. Mankind sins, but underestimates sins. Why? For, you know, human being is impatient. He does not believe that his deed will bring harm to his life when he does not see the return in advance. But Allah Azzawajal is patient. That is, there is absolutely no patience

as much as the patience of Allah Azzawajal. Allah Azzawajal gives term to His sinful servant, He is patient and when the time comes, Allah Azzawajal takes His servant away. Therefore, let us not underestimate the sins we have committed. Let us not deprive ourselves of repentance

while the door of repentance is open before us. We should know that every sin we have committed has a return in this world and in the hereafter, and Allah Azzawajal will definitely punish us with it unless we repent. These sometimes harm one's religion, morals, world. In some way these certainly harm. May Allah Azzawajal make us of His servants who serve Him with taqwa. (Amin) May Allah Azzawajal grant us the opportunity to

understand correctly and live these topics we have told. (Amin) May Allah Azzawajal grant us respect, taqwa and consciousness towards His own limits and borders. (Amin) May Allah Azzawajal remove the veil between us and good deeds. (Amin) May Allah Azzawajal enable us to do righteous deeds. (Amin) May Allah Azzawajal remove all the reasons between His help and all our brothers fighting for Islam in the east and west of the world. (Amin) And show us His help as soon as possible. (Amin) اللهم امین،اللهم امین،اللهم امین وآخر دعوانا أن الحمد لله رب العالمين السلام علیکم و رحمه الله و برکاته
