Why Hijab?

many people ask about the wisdom behind the hijab and why should muslim women observe the hijab hijab is a religious islamic injunction that has been mentioned in the quran in a few different chapters take for instance chapter 24 and noor verse say to the believing women in your community that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear thereof that they should draw their veils over their over their bosoms and not display their beauty except their husbands their fathers and till the end of the verse this is one the second one is in chapter 33 and that is verse number 59 daughters and the believing women in your community that they should cast their outer garments over their persons that is most convenient that they should be known as such and not molested and god is oft forgiving most merciful now the wisdom of hijab is to protect the value and the honor of women it is not a curtailment of their personality character or intelligence it's not in any way islam does not want to cast a veil on women's contribution intelligence character strength knowledge wisdom inner beauty but it only seek or seeks to avoid negative temptation and to maintain their chastity in the society when they cover they would provide a moral dimension and of moral character and dignity and of course hijab also will prevent the exploitation and dishonoring of women islam always seeks that women are powerful an important part of the islamic society of a healthy society islam does not want anyone to take advantage of them islam does not want anyone to exploit their existence and also it is an acknowledgement the acknowledgement of a woman should not be based on her physical appearance or her structure but it should be based on her intelligence her contribution her inner beauty her knowledge and her service to her family her country and her society thank you
