Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived. God himself gave him that [music] wisdom, and yet a pattern of wrong women turned his heart completely away from God and split his entire [music] kingdom in two. If it happened to the wisest man alive, it can happen to you. There are women the Bible specifically warns Christian men to stay far away from, and most men don't [music] even recognize them until it's too late. Let's start with the first type, and she might be closer to you than you think. The Bible calls her the adulteress. Proverbs 5:3-5 says, "For the [music] lips of the adulterous woman drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil. But in the end, she is bitter as gall, sharp as a double-edged sword. Her feet go down to [music] death. Her steps lead straight to the grave." Notice what the Bible says first, her words, not her appearance. Her words. She sounds good. She feels right, >> [music] >> but the destination is destruction. A woman who is already committed to another man and is still pursuing you is not a blessing. She is a test, [music] and if Solomon with all his wisdom failed it, brother, you need to take this seriously. The second type is the quarrelsome woman. Now, this one is going to [music] step on some toes, but the Bible is not shy about it. Proverbs 21:9 says, "Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife." And then Proverbs 21:19 doubles [music] down, "Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife." God is literally saying >> [music] >> a rooftop, a desert, anywhere but next to constant conflict. Now, this isn't about a woman who occasionally disagrees [music] with you. Healthy relationships have disagreements. This is about a woman whose default setting is strife. Drama follows her everywhere. Peace [music] never stays in the room when she walks in. As a Christian man called to lead a home in peace, you cannot build [music] anything on a foundation of constant chaos. Third, the unbeliever. This one might be the most ignored warning in [music] Christian dating. 2 Corinthians 6:14 is clear. "Do not be unequally yoked [music] together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness, and what communion has light with darkness?" Now, here's where men make the mistake. She's kind. She's respectful. She treats you well. [music] So, you think, "I'll bring her to church. She'll change." But the Bible doesn't say avoid mean [music] unbelievers. It says avoid being yoked to one. A yoke connects [music] two animals pulling in the same direction. If you're pulling toward God and she's pulling toward the world, >> [music] >> that relationship will wear you out spiritually. You can pray for her. You can be kind to her, but you cannot build a covenant with someone who doesn't share your covenant with God. Number four, [music] the seductress. Proverbs 7 paints a vivid picture. A young man walks past her corner. She grabs him, kisses him, and says, "I have covered my bed with colored linens from Egypt. I have perfumed [music] my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon." Proverbs 7:16 and 17. She makes sin sound like luxury, >> [music] >> and Proverbs 7:22 says he followed her like an ox going to the slaughter. He had no idea where he was headed until it was too late. >> [music] >> The seductress isn't always obvious. Sometimes she uses loneliness. Sometimes she uses [music] your ego. She makes you feel chosen, special, but what she's really offering is a shortcut to destruction [music] wrapped in a very attractive package. And fifth, the proud woman who rejects wisdom. Proverbs 11:22 [music] says, "Like a gold ring in a pig's snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion." Harsh? Maybe. True? >> [music] >> Absolutely. External beauty without internal wisdom is not a foundation. It's a decoration. A woman who cannot receive [music] correction, who dismisses God's word, who has no interest in growing spiritually, that is not a partner. That is a liability to your [music] destiny. Think about it this way. You can admire a flower and still know you can't build a house with it. Beauty is a gift from [music] God, but pride cancels it out fast. Proverbs 16:18 says, "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall." [music] If she can't sit under godly wisdom, she won't sit well in a godly home. As a Christian man, [music] you need a woman who fears God more than she fears missing out on the world. That combination, humility and faith, is worth more than anything else you could look for. Here's the thing. This video is not about [music] bashing women, not even close. The Bible is full of incredible women. Ruth, >> [music] >> Esther, Proverbs 31. God's design for women is beautiful, but just like there are men who will destroy a woman's destiny, there are women who will derail a man's purpose, and God loves you too much [music] to stay silent about it. Proverbs 18:22 says, "He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord." The keyword is finds, >> [music] >> not settles, not rushes, not ignores every red flag because she's attractive. Finds. That means there's a search involved, and a wise man searches with God's eyes, not just his own. [music] So, here's the encouragement. If you're watching this and you're already in a difficult relationship, don't panic. The answer is not to immediately walk away. The answer is to first get on your knees, >> [music] >> pray specifically and consistently over your relationship. Bring your pastor or trusted godly counselor into the picture. Proverbs 11:14 says, >> [music] >> "Where no counsel is, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors, there is safety." Stop trying to fix it alone. God can restore, redirect, and rebuild what looks broken, but you have to invite him into it deliberately. [music] And if after seeking God and wise counsel, a decision needs to be made, let that decision [music] be led by the Holy Spirit and not by emotion. And if you haven't made that choice [music] yet, be diligent. Don't let loneliness rush you into a decision that requires a lifetime commitment. Take it to God first. >> [music] >> Stay in his word and let him order your steps. He wrote the manual on relationships. >> [music] >> It makes sense to follow it.
