5 SIGNS Signaling the Second Coming of Christ

There's a pattern hidden in the Bible that most Christians completely miss. Jesus spoke of five specific events that would all happen in the same generation. The generation that would see his return. In 1948, [music] something happened that biblical scholars said was impossible. Israel became a nation again after nearly 2,000 years. Jesus said in Matthew 24:32-34, "Now learn [music] this lesson from the fig tree. As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see [music] all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. Truly, I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all [music] these things have happened." The fig tree represents Israel throughout scripture. For centuries, [music] the Jewish people were scattered across the globe with no homeland. Then, in one day, May 14th, 1948, [music] Israel was reborn. This wasn't just a political event. It was prophecy being fulfilled in front of the world's eyes. Sign number [music] two, knowledge shall increase. Daniel 12:4 says, "But you, Daniel, shut up the words >> [music] >> and seal the book until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall [music] increase." Think about this for a second. For most of human history, knowledge moved [music] slowly. Then suddenly, in the last 100 years, we went from horse-drawn carriages to landing on the moon. From letters taking [music] weeks to instant messages across the planet. We're living in the information [music] age. A person today has more knowledge in their pocket than entire libraries contained a century ago. This explosion of knowledge isn't [music] random. It's prophetic. Sign number three, gospel preached [music] to all nations. Jesus said in Matthew 24:14, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end [music] will come." For 2,000 years, this seemed impossible. How could every nation hear the gospel? But today, the Bible has been translated into over 3,000 languages. Christian missionaries have reached the most [music] remote tribes on Earth. The internet allows someone in a closed country to hear about Jesus with a single click. We're the first generation in history that can actually say the gospel [music] has reached every corner of the globe. Sign number four, wars and rumors of wars. In Matthew 24:6-7, Jesus warned, "You will hear of wars >> [music] >> and rumors of wars. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom." Some people say, "But there have always been wars." >> [music] >> True. But look at the scale. The 20th century alone saw two world wars that killed over 100 million people. We've had the Cold War, nuclear standoffs, constant conflicts [music] in the Middle East, and right now, multiple nations on the brink of major conflict. The rumors of wars part is crucial. We're constantly [music] hearing about potential wars, threats, and tensions like never before in human [music] history. Sign number five, earthquakes, famines, and pestilences. Jesus continued in Luke 21:11, "There will be great [music] earthquakes, famines, and pestilences in various places." Again, some might say these [music] have always existed. But the frequency and intensity have skyrocketed. Major earthquakes [music] are increasing. We've seen devastating famines across Africa and parts of Asia. And pestilences, we just lived through [music] a global pandemic that shut down the entire world. COVID-19 reminded us how vulnerable we are and how [music] quickly disease can spread across nations, something Jesus specifically said would mark [music] the end times. Here's what ties all five signs together. Jesus said [music] in Matthew 24:33, "When you see all these things, you know that it is near, >> [music] >> right at the door." Not one or two signs, all of them happening at once. And that's exactly what we're witnessing. So, what does [music] all this mean for you today? It means we're living in the generation Jesus talked about, the generation that would see all these signs converge. But here's the beautiful part. This isn't a message of fear. It's a message of hope. In John 14:3, Jesus promised, "And if I go [music] and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me, that you also [music] may be where I am." He's coming back not to condemn those who believe in him, but to bring them home. The [music] question isn't if these signs are real. They're undeniable.
