Let’s go through the steps for how
to set up your dedicated IP address. Before you start, you’ll need: An
active ExpressVPN subscription, A dedicated IP subscription, and a desktop (or
laptop) and a phone. This tutorial requires the latest version of the ExpressVPN desktop and
mobile apps to be installed on your devices. Please note that the following steps
apply to Windows, macOS, and Linux. Now let’s begin. Open the ExpressVPN app and click Add-ons
from the menu on the lefthand side. Then click Dedicated IP under
Privacy and Security. Under Set Up Your Dedicated IP on Your
Phone, select the Click here link. You will now need your phone. Use your phone to scan the QR code that appears. If you already have the ExpressVPN
app installed on your phone, scanning the QR code will
open the app on your phone. If you haven’t installed
ExpressVPN for your phone, scanning the code will prompt you to
download the ExpressVPN app to your phone. On the mobile app, you will
see a popup that prompts you to set up dedicated IP. Tap Set Up Now. You can now choose a VPN location
for your dedicated IP address. Once selected, tap Continue. From here, you will be prompted
to set an access code. Please note that this should not be the
same as your ExpressVPN password. Tap Continue. Make sure to save your access
code and keep it somewhere safe. You will need this access code
later. If you lose your access code, ExpressVPN will not be able to recover it for you
and you will lose access to your dedicated IP. Tap Done. Your dedicated IP will now be configured.
This process may take up to 20 minutes. Go back to the ExpressVPN
desktop app and click Refresh. Now click Unlock with Access Code. Input the access code you created
earlier and click Unlock Dedicated IP. Congratulations! You can now
use your dedicated IP address. If you have questions, please
contact ExpressVPN support who are available 24/7 via live chat and email.
