how are we doing today uh oh I remember you had a question before about uh about praying in the or something like that right in public in case you had to pray in the so uh yeah it's praying in the generally is Mak so uh it is generally disliked but if there is a reason like you are in public or something and then uh you don't want people who are non Mahar to see you Etc then it is permissible inshallah is not an issue for you to do it for that reason uh if there's a specific reason for it basically otherwise it is it is Mak uh so it does not affect the validity of the prayer but if there's a specific reason it's not even M it's not disliked it's allowed because there's a specific reason alhamdulillah how's everyone else doing everyone else is well uh finally finally what like we are in time I think so we're not late or something so uh okay how's everyone let us begin inallah let's let's go straight into it or something yeah well generally you shouldn't be praying it's better if you're praying home or praying in a specific place not you're not praying in public like it's the best thing but if you had to and then you then you covered your face then there's no issues inshallah uh all right let's get into into the in let me share the screen one second okay all right uh let's do this one okay everyone can see every everything is good bro when did you start at the ser uh honestly some people might be like living in a different planet or something okay okay alhamd okay let's begin in we stopped last time at uh verse 30 and uh we'll continue today inshallah starting from uh verse 31 right so verse 30 where where Allah told angs I'm going to place a successive Authority a rest whatever whatever like translation you want to use upon the Earth then the Angels like asked the question about the the uh the creation that Allah is going to place on Earth uh and we spoke about the details regarding that why they asked the question Etc what they were talking about uh and that they glorify Allah Etc then Allah said I know that which you do not know right then Allah says so Allah taught Adam okay so what is the all the names means names in the Arabic language all the names right so the they say this is the names of everything this is this is the most uh this is the strongest opinion there this is the names of everything in every language so not just one language or another language or the names of literally everything you look the names of this pen names of this like microphone the names of this headphones in different languages all in all languages possible so Allah taught Adam all of the names that's what all the names right of everything and and from here you can take like an interesting point a point of benefit that that I would want to say right because language the the source of language uh for human beings and I would say some for someone who's a material like the materialists and the people who don't believe in God Etc they don't believe in a Creator they cannot really come with a compelling uh explanation a respectful explanation a logical explanation for how human beings are able to speak are able to communicate right we're not talking about now just any communication of sounds we're talking about language where does language come from how does how did humans obtain this idea this skill of language speaking languages able to formulate sentences and attribute these name names uh to objects and have grammatical structures that are formulated in a specific way that people can use them to communicate and speak to one another and like there's a phenomena kind of that you observe if you look at tribes that are separated from uh like human beings for for a long period of time you see that these people who live they don't really speak they don't have languages but they have sounds so they communicate these many of these tribes communicate with each other using sounds or rather than using languages so they don't they don't speak uh like actual words and sentences Etc uh but because they've been living out in nowhere they just use sounds to communicate different sounds like animals you you'd hear them like using different sounds to communicate with each other or to kind of warn one another Etc right so they they don't speak so uh from this aspect we we believe as Muslims is that the source of language right the source of of uh the names of things the source of languages Etc comes from Allah directly because language is something that is taught you know something that is taken from another person is not something that you develop by yourself rather it's something that you take from others that's why you look if you look at babies for example right babies is a prime example of that you know they make sounds and this and that but then they start picking up the language they pick up the language they pick up the words from you the parents the surroundings people around them because it's something as human beings that you need to pick up from an external Source it's not something that you would develop yourself as a human being right and if you look at the atheist and etc those type of people they wouldn't have like an a good explanation for where language came from or why is the source of language for human beings right just basic uh ridiculous explanations if you look at what they say for example so Allah he T the names of everything the names of all things right uh in every language as we said and then uh Allah said to the then Allah displayed these names or display he displayed the things right the objects to the angels then Allah told the Angels okay tell me the names of these objects what are the names of these things what are the names of these uh object objects that you're looking at if you are uh truthful and like here you see that that some people use this verse as well like that Allah taught Adam the names or actually's let's mention this in the next verse rather than mentioning it in verse so Allah asked him to tell to tell him the names of these things okay what are the names of these objects if you are truthful so what are you if you are truthful if you are truthful about this claim that you made before that that that the creation that Allah is going to create uh is going to cause corruption it's going to C blessed it's going to do all of these different things while the Angels praise and glorify Allah so Allah is telling them if you are truthful in your claim then tell me or inform me the names of the these objects the things that you're looking at then the objects or the names of the things that Allah T Adam they said Subhan and we mentioned before in in the previous what does the word subhanak mean right it means to glor to glorify Allah uh to remove any deficiencies from from him then they said they didn't say they didn't say we do not know they said we have no knowledge except that which you taught us so they say that that we do not have any knowledge we do not possess any knowledge except that which you have given to us except that which you have taught us and and here we need to understand something very important right is the first thing is if you don't know something if you don't know something you say I don't know if you don't know something you say what you say I don't know or you say Allah and his messenger knows right if you read of the Hadith you probably hear hear this a lot you hear the companions of the Prophet The Prophet asked them a question do you know about both X and then they say Allah and his messenger know know best so they don't know we say I don't know right and you hear many of the they will say to you I do not know is half of the knowledge if you do not know something you cannot say I know it while you do not know it so you have to uh say you do not know when you do not know that specific thing and uh you have the story of mam for example as as a prime example for this idea M mam gave that talk or that lecture uh to his people to the children of Israel and it was very influential and they they felt uh moved by the words that he said and then they came to Mam and they asked mam because of the how impressed they were right they said who's the most knowledgeable person on Earth who's the most knowledgeable person today and then mam what did he say mam this is not him boost being boost but this is what he thought is you know one of the five many Messengers he spoke directly with Allah right he is getting direct Revelation from Allah so he said me I'm the most knowledgeable person when that person asked him who's the most knowledgeable person right so then Allah then Allah spoke to him why because he did not return the knowledge to Allah he did not say that Allah is the most knowing or that this knowledge is coming from Allah Etc right so so uh here you see the Angels what they say they said we have no knowledge except what you oh Allah taught us uh and that's what Allah says you know we read always in in they cannot possess any of his his knowledge except that which he Wills we do not have knowledge I don't not have knowledge none of us here have knowledge except what Allah allows to to possess so if someone is knowledgeable this is not his own doing and work but this is because Allah allowed him and taught him the specific knowledge that he possesses or that he has right and and to understand that there's always someone who's more knowledgeable than you Allah says in the Quran and above every person of knowledge there's someone who is more knowledgeable until of course you reach Allah is the most knowledgeable so doesn't matter how much knowledgeable you are there is always someone who's more knowledgeable than you on Earth so when you do not know something you refer the knowledge to the people who know like if I do not know something you know like people can come and ask me questions or ask anyone like or ask a or or anyone they ask him questions about Islam and he would respond but if they would come and ask him questions about operations and heart surgery and this and that you have to refer the people to the people of of Specialties to doctors if you ask you about engineering you have to refer to Engineers there's always something you do not know and there's always someone who is more knowledgeable than you so you as a as a Muslim should not be ashamed from saying I do not know when someone asks you a question question you you shouldn't be ashamed because there is no uh like there's no one on earth who knows everything so why would you be ashamed from saying I do not know when someone ask you something you do not know the only reason that would stop you from that is pride and arrogance is that which make you say would make you not want to say I do not know okay so from this verse we need to understand that and you need to understand the the the severity or the so now we're talking about what you should do if you do not know you say I do not know but the problem is what do you do when you speak without knowledge now this is the biggest issue this is the biggest problem so Allah speaks in the Quran for example uh Allah says and do not say or follow there's two understandings there of the verse that which you have no knowledge of indeed the the hearing the eyesight right and the F the heart all of that you will be asked upon so Allah is is going to ask you every single word that you say everything single thing that you hear every single thing that you do you'll be asked upon and Allah he said he's made that that which is apparent and that which is hien and the sin to transgress on other people without right then Allah mention so look Allah mentions all these sin and then he mentioned sh is there anything bigger than sh is there any other sin that that we as Muslims believe is bigger than associating partners with Allah there isn't right this is the biggest sin but Allah mentioned after it and that you say about Allah that which you do not know so Allah mentioned it even after sh he finished the verse and completed the verse with that so Allah can make you understand as a Muslim the severity of speaking about Allah without knowledge there's a Hadith where there's a difference between it's like authenticity but first there's a Hadith which is agreed upon which is mut which is where the prophet he said who lied upon me intentionally lay him prepare his seat in the Hellfire and you know like when people come in da like well I usually have to do most of the time with the people if they have Muslim friends or Muslim colleagues or whatever it is I have to make them unlearn before they learn because their Muslim colleagues and friends they they speak from their bags without knowledge without re without understanding without evidences they tell them a lot of things about Islam and then those non-muslims they take information wholesale you know they assume this guyy is a Muslim so he probably knows what he's talking about so if he says this to me then Islam says that so these people come and when I engage with them I already have to explain to them oh no no actually what those people said was wrong so we have to make them unlearn before we make them learn you know and that's why they if the people who do not know remain silent disagreement will be be a lot less if the people who are ignorant who do not know what they're talking about if they're not their field of speciality they didn't study they do not understand the the the capacity of what they're talking about remain silent they will not be much disagreement within the people so this is very important for for for everyone listening right if you do not say something say I do not know if you are doubtful about something not just you do not know it but you might it might be right it might be this say I do not know do not like assume especially when it comes to the de of Allah I was telling you the verse of how severe it is to speak about Allah without knowledge you know your personal affairs this and that it's a different story but when it comes to the de of Allah you stop there okay you don't know you say I don't know okay and and this is what we learned from this verse we learned from the the behavior of the Angels right not just them saying that there is we do we have no knowledge or there is no knowledge except that which you taught us we have no knowledge they say we don't know they said there is no knowledge except that which you thought us so we learn from them first is that we attribute the knowledge to Allah right so we admit first that we do not know if we do not know something secondly we attribute the knowledge that we have any knowledge that we have to Allah and thirdly our manners in speaking about Allah that we glorify and praise Allah uh in in our speech in the ways that we talk about Allah when we talk about him right and then we praise him again so we start by praising Allah glorifying him and we end by doing that as well indeed you are the all knowing the all wise so the knowledge of Allah as we mentioned it before that Allah knows the past he knows the future and he knows the present what is going on right now he knows the hypothetical scenarios of things that did not take place if they were to take place how they would be how they would turn out Etc so the extent of of the knowledge of Allah is beyond our comprehension and capacity and Alim the wise the one who places everything in in its place places the thing in the right place in the right time the most wise this is wisdom is to place the thing in the right place in the right time to say the the right thing in the right time in the right place so this is uh what wisdom is uh and and the wise to create what you wish because this is here in in the context of Allah creating Adam so because Allah is because he's the most knowing and he's the most W wise he knows what he created I Adam and he knows the wisdom that he's placing the right thing in the right place in the right time placing Adam on Earth and and giving him the capacities that he has this is all a part of Allah's and wisdom then Allah addresses Adam so Allah said to ad Allah said oh Adam so first Adam uh when it comes to to language many of the the they said Adam comes fromma andma is like sura is like Darkness right so so many of them they said that that Adam was darker in skin based on that he was called Adam for that reason because the word Adam comes fromma and which is sura which is being darker having a darker shade right so you have many of the saying that and another point of benefit here is that you see that Allah says so Allah when he speaks to Adam he's addressing Adam with his name and the point of benefit here is that you see this with all the prophets except Prophet Muhammad so if you read the Quran you will see that Allah is addressing the prophets with the names we said oh oh Noah like descend with with peace right um all all of the prophets all of them one one uh so Allah said to chosen you upon the people or [Music] or with my message with my words Allah spoke to him directly so if you look if you look at all of the Quran uh you will see that Allah addresses all the prophets with their names I for example Allah says inah Allah addresses them with their name and all of the prophets and The Messengers you see that Allah would address them with their name but when it comes to Prophet Muhammad you're not going to find that so you're not going to see that Allah addresses the prophet with his name directly yeah Muhammad you're not going to find the verse like this uh it's always or Prophet or messenger Etc this is what you will see so this is a point of benefit that we can take here from this verse then Allah said Allah said oh informed them he informed the angels with the names of these things then when he informed them with the names of these things Allah said I did didn't I tell you Allah knows the Unseen uh within the heavens and the Earth Allah knows the Unseen within the heavens and within the Earth and here I want to say something very important right so we were just talking about Prophet Muhammad something that is special for him the fact that in the Quran Allah does not address him with his name while he addresses the other prophets and Messengers with their names right so here this is something that the prophet special about him but in the same time we do not Elevate the prophet Beyond his status like some people do today because this verse here is talking about the Unseen right so the prophet does not know the Unseen like some PE some people think Prophet Alam is still alive today Prophet Alam he knows the Unseen all of these things which are exaggerations in the status of the Prophet so we need to put the prophet where Allah placed him we put him where Allah put him he is a he's a servant a slave of Allah in the same time he's he's AOL he's a messenger so you do not take him away from you do not make him a God knowing of the Unseen and knowing of everything and this and life today and hears you and answers your prayers and all what some communities and some people do we do not do that and we do not belittle him under his his status so anything that Allah have said about him or anything that that is a point of benefit or praise uh for him then we do not take that away from from the prophet so only knows the Unseen and this is clear in the Quran this verse is an example Allah says he knows the Unseen and there would be no point of Allah saying it if other people also know it so they wouldn't be a point here for Allah to say I told you I know the Unseen if everyone knows the Unseen right so this verse is an example other examples is where Allah says say oh Prophet Muhammad that no one in the in in the heavens or the Earth knows the Unseen except Allah right is clearcut Allah also says the knower of the Unseen that he does not disclose his unseen to anyone except who he wishes from a messenger like that messenger can be an angel or a prophet that Allah will tell him some some of the Unseen like the the signs of the day of judgment all of these different things but the complete knowledge of the Unseen right so that exception is given in that verse there is no other exceptions the complete knowledge of the Unseen is with Allah alone and Prophet himself Allah commanded him to say himself if I know the Unseen then I would only do good right nothing bad would happen to me if the prophet knew the Unseen then he would and also you need to understand even the Jin do not know the Unseen all of those people who go to these women M like you know magicians and all of these witches and all of these people trying to get the Unseen from them even the Jin do not know the Unseen and Allah said that in the Quran that the Jin said that if they were KN knew the Unseen they would not have continued to work when Alam passed away so even the jins do not do the Unseen so the Unseen the knowledge of the Unseen is only with Allah H so Allah says didn't I tell you or didn't I say to you that I know the the knowledge of the Unseen in the s in the heavens above and and the Earth and I know that which you show apparently so Allah knows the Unseen he knows the hidden and he knows that which is apparent of course right and that which you uh used to conceal or that which you concealed now the they say here what is that that they used to conceal what is this referring to many of the they said here it is referring to it's referring to and the fact that the the hatred the the envy that had for Adam right so many of the they they mention this and they say that this this specifically here what he used to conceal is referring to and from this verse here uh you can also take from the last following verses that Allah he showed the virtue uh of Adam above the angels with knowledge so knowledge is what gave adam virtue over the Angels so us for us to understand the virtue of knowledge the this is what elevated him or give him an extra level above the angels in this specific instance right so many of the use this verse to say that this this is also one of the reasons the human beings are created the purposes for our life the purposes for why we're here on this earth right so there are many verses in the Quran that talks about why we exist why we're created why Allah created us one of them is where Allah says for example did not create the gin and Mankind except to worship me right so worship is one one of the purposes or the main purpose one of the main purposes for why we're created to worship Allah right other verses like that we are being tested that Allah created life and death to test us right uh who is best in indeed so this is also we created we're given this idea of life and death to be tested in this life so we're tested whether we we will worship Allah or not and also some of the they say here is also to learn learn about Allah also learn about ourselves learn about the world Etc Allah says in the Quran created seven right the knowledge descend in them so you can know so you can know so Allah created the S created the Earth so we can know so we can learn Allah is capable to do everything and anything and he has encompassed all knowledge right so this is also one of the purposes that we can say for for our existence as human beings to worship Allah Asel to be tested and to learn about Allah to learn about the world to learn about this creation created are all displaying the attributes of our creator our maker Allah right so all of these can be looked looked at as purposes for uh our existence or our creation okay then the next verse so when and remember or call or say uh we said to the angels prostrate to Adam now we know that prostration generally is done to Allah alone right prostration is generally done to Allah alone this is in our sh in the Shar the prophet Muhammad that you only prostrate to Allah you do not prostrate to other than Allah okay but in the previous uh in the previous of different Messengers there was a form of prostration of you know of of respect of Honor Etc there was a form of prostration and we know that for example in the case of uh Yu says in when he raised his his his parents and he put them also on the throne next to him and then they prostrated to him so this prostration here or here is not a it is not AJ of worship but it is a it is AJ of uh respect or honor Etc but this does not exist in our Shar so it does not exist of the in the of the Prophet Muhammad like in our sh today you cannot prostrate to anyone for any reason other than Allah cannot prostrate to a human being for respect for any other reason you cannot do it you can only prostrate uh to Allah alone you cannot prostrate to anything to anyone else or anything else right okay so this is an okay so here this also this prostration of the angels to Adam is showing the virtue of Adam right the virtue of Adam with the knowledge Allah has given him Etc so this PR ation is also a sign of that so Allah commands the angels to prostrate then Allah says now a very important thing here is you see you see here in the beginning there's a letter here called right the in the Arabic language is for meaning that they straight away did it so Allah commanded them to do a specific act and they straight away went into doing that act so if you want to imagine it is like while Allah is saying it they prostrate straight away Allah he says prostrate they prostrate there is no questions there's no looking there's no asking nothing they prostrate straight away and from it we think as as uh Believers a sign for us as Believers is when it comes to the commands of Allah we need to be like that this is how we should be we have to be straight away moving into obedience the minute you hear the command of Allah you do it you hear thean the time of the prayer you pray you hear the the Allah said this is Haram you leave it there's no questions and if some but some maybe but I don't understand this part you know but explain this one it convinced me first there's no such thing Allah commands then straight away you go into obedience and and fulfillment of the command of Allah and Allah mentions that in in in in the Quran like the state of the Believers it was not for un believing man or woman if Allah determines something that they have a choice in it straight away they go into obedience it it was the saying or the the state of the believer if they're called to Allah and his messenger they say we we obey and those are the successful ones Allah says we say we hear and we obey this should be our state and when we hear the commands of Allah we go straight away into obedience without back and forth and arguing Etc and from this as well you understand that these tests right because we see here except right so we have people who succeeded the Angels We Have people who failed the test which is and from this you understand that Allah does tests or tests is a way to show the True Believers from false Believers testing people and and having difficult times is a way of distinguishing between the people of true Faith the people of of goodness from the people of falsehood H so Allah as he he is there doing a test he does tests for us on a daily basis for me and you for everyone to distinguish or to show to the to make it clear to make it evident who are the true true people of Faith who are the True Believers from those who are not true believers okay then Allah Asel says except right uh except except he refused and he became arrogant and he was from the disbelievers except he refused and he became arrogant and he was from the disbelievers right so now we have a question here and and it's an important question because we've got a lot uh of uh people always asking this right is El from the Angels is is from the Angels is one of the Angels because you see here the verse say Allah says when we said to the angels judu prostrate they prostrated except El so is El from the Angels or El not from the Angels you know you got the people always uh you got some people in some communities they will they will try to make a case telling you that is from the Angels so can we use this verse to say that he is from the Angels or or not from the Angels h no no no of course not he's not he's Jen okay he is Jen he is Jen someone saying here falling angel no that is not the case absolutely not this is a Christian belief this is not a Muslim belief and and this is where the idea comes from right so you got some of the people who would would use they say oh he's he's an angel or if you see someone in a saying this taking this idea from the Israel taking this idea from the the beliefs of the the children of Israel that he was an angel and then he became a fallen angel this and that but if you read in the Quran there are multiple reasons why we can know for a fact that I was going to say yeah that is not from the uh Angels right okay what are these evidences that is not from the Angels first the Allah says explicitly in the Quran that he's not from the Angels Allah says except he was from the Jin except so Allah says explicitly clearly that he was from the Gin he disobeyed or this uh he he went against the command of Allah command of his Lord are referring to this Command right so he's saying that is from the Jin number two is that the Angels do not disobey Allah so first Allah explicitly says in that verse that he disobey the the command of Allah and he is from the Jin so Allah is given two reasons there Allah when he speaks about the angels He says they do not disobey Allah when he commands them and they do as they're commanded so the Mala the state of the Angels is that they don't disobey Allah they do not disobey disobedience is not an option for an angel so when you look at and and him disobeying Allah this is in is evidence that he is not from the Mal other than that as well as we said that Allah said he is from the Jin right is there any other reasons yes there is any there is other evidences the prophet he told us that the Mal the angels are created from light the Mala are created from light but Allah says in the Quran that is Created from fire he said you created me from fire and you created him from clay so here is saying he is Created from fire he disobeyed Allah and Allah explicitly says that he is from the Jin and Allah also mentioned that his progeny are the the are the pry and and you do not have an angel that his progy are going to be right Allah says do you take him and his preny as allies other than me and they are an enemy for you so all of these verses they're explicit they're clear when you look at what he's created from his behavior and the fact that Allah identifies him he cannot be from the Angels it is is not even a possibility that he would be from the ages he is without a Shad of a doubt from the right so is the father of all of the and then uh some of the they said the word as well the word comes from theas in Arabic language which means desperation desperation in the mercy of Allah this what some Scholars said so despairing from the mercy of Allah so the word coming from elas which is to despair from the mercy from the mercy of Allah okay this is the state of that he despaired from the mercy of Allah and he chose dis obedience to go against Allah knowingly okay so what did he do first is he refused AB that he refused the command of Allah when Allah commanded him to prostrate he did not prostrate now here is given the reasons why he did not prostrate now now you had some people saying actually that that what is the first which one which sin did he commit first was it that he was like envious first of of Adam Alam when you saw Adam Alam that he was created in Jenna Etc and then that Allah has made this new creation and then the Allah is asking the people to prostrate to this new creation because you know many of the they say that was there uh elevated to the S because of his Good Deeds or worship or or good acts Etc so now there's someone else new in the picture creation that Allah created Adam a human being and there's a level of Envy now you see some people saying okay the there was Envy okay or was it the the the arrogance that he had was it the arrogance that he had Allah here mentions the arrogance he does not mention Hass he does not mention the Envy he mentions arrogance he says and that's why he says in the other verse says in the other verse you created me from fire you created him from clay and in his this is his argument you know like you got these atheists making quote unquote rational arguments right so he's here making a right he's making a rational argument for his case you know I'm bitter I'm bter he says why why am I bitter I'm giving you evidences now I'm bter because I'm created from fire and he's created from clay so uh that's why you would see the the the the atheist like doing the same thing walking on the steps of of el he walking on the same steps disobeyed made arguments tried to make cases for why he doesn't believe you'll see those atheist taking the same roote taking the same lining and trying to do the same weak type of reasoning to justify their disbelief and from it we should understand as Muslims the danger of of K the danger of K the danger of being arrogant the danger of Envy all of these two things the danger of them Allah says in the Quran that do not like extend your eyes to that which you've given them them here means the disbelievers right as as Ador of this life so we can we can test them with it so Allah is given many of these disbelievers many things right he's given them many things as an Ador of this life because this life is the paradise of the disbeliever they have many things but Allah says this is a trial a test for them that they're failing and then Allah says and and the provision of your lord is better and more Everlasting like Jenna the provision of your lord the risk of your Lord that Allah is going to give you is Everlasting is is going to remain it's going to stay it is not like this this life of worldly life so do not envy right do not envy other Muslims and do not envy anyone else whether they're Muslim or they're not a Muslim right Envy it is not a good thing is wishing someone else to to lose what they have and you having that specific thing that they don't have and then you have arrogance and why is arrogance prophet he defined it he said so or or arrogance arrogance is to reject the truth first this is the most important thing and I want to mention a very important note here that you see in discussions that we have sometimes with some people that they are clearly rejecting the truth you give them reasoning you give them answers you clarify things to them they still reject the truth they don't care right so they reject the truth outwardly and then for example one person says they are arrogant then you get some guy Muslim guy commenting oh no no he's not arrogant brother he's seeking the truth what do you mean he's not arrogant he's not arrogant oh sorry he's not arrogant he's very polite he's not arrogant he's he's very nice he's not arrogant he's T is respectful that doesn't mean he's not arrogant you can can have a respectful tone a very nice uh tone you know and speak with respect and all of these different things but reject the truth from an Islamic perspective you're still arrogant your tone how you dress how you behave with other human beings does not take you from being arrogant or not being arrogant if you reject the truth you become arrogant right and to belittle the people to look down upon the people to belittle them uh to think that you are better than other than others right so this is what arrogance is to look down upon other people to think you're Superior you're better than them and to reject the truth yeah but Prophet mention mentioned rejecting the the truth first so anyone that you see hears the truth you give him evidences he is arrogant by definition he is arrogant by definition and the position you take with those people is they stay away from them you do not waste your time on people who are arrogant and inherently not interested in the truth in or or whatever it is that you're going to to show them okay so now this is the state of of their father you know all of these like atheist that become arrogant and reject the truth they do the same thing so the Allah here he says he refused so here his arrogance here is rejecting the truth is rejecting the command of Allah and and it is belittling Adam because he said I'm I'm better right so he he's doing the two things there he is the the epitome ofar of arrogance and then says here and he was from the the disbelievers you can understand it in two ways One Way meaning he was in the knowledge of Allah meaning before he does this action Allah knows that he's from the he was in the knowledge of Allah meaning he was in the knowledge of Allah from the disbelievers so this is one way to understand it and another way to understand it that can here was in the Arabic language means means became he became from the disbelievers and the this usage of the word can is there in other places in the Quran for example Allah he said um about and his son that the wave became between him and his son means so he became from those who drowned right so the word can there is used to mean became so in this verse here we can understand that either it means that it was in the knowledge of Allah that he's going to be from the disbelievers or it means that he became from the disbelievers through the rejecting the command of Allah and through the arrogance of thinking that he is better than uh Adam Alam and now another thing which is very important to to keep a note uh for is that El had a knowledge right El had the knowledge so El was not arrogant uh sorry El was not ignorant he had had the knowledge he was arrogant but he was not ignorant so he knew that Allah is the creator he was there he there Allah is addressing him right he's addressing directly he's addressing so had the what did he have he had knowledge but he had arrogance so just because someone has knowledge that that doesn't mean he's safe so even though we said earlier look Allah elevated Adam with his knowledge over the Angels so the importance of of having knowledge it's very important but this the is the beneficial knowledge is the knowledge that influences your behavior the knowledge that you act upon not the knowledge that you take so you can pretend that you are better than people around you so having knowledge and and arrogance is not is not going to benefit you and Allah said in the Quran that someone can be misguided upon knowledge that Allah misguided the individual upon knowledge that he has knowledge and he's become misguided so it's not ignorance is the biggest problem you could be knowledgeable you could like speak to Allah directly or speak to Allah he's addressing you directly but still choose to disobey Allah and to be from the the disbelievers so we need to understand and and and humble ourselves that even though we have knowledge okay we have knowledge that knowledge is not going to benefit us unless we behave based on that knowledge we behave with humility you behave with respect with other people you do not reject the truth you do not belittle the people these are very important things to keep in mind okay then Allah says and we said oh or dwell or or remain and the word second is is a place where you you live you know you can call your home a second and it comes from the the word Sakina as well Sakina which means Tranquility because you have tranquil Tranquility quietness in in your house in your home right this is also why the word is called second so Allah is saying to Adam and and him and his spouse right uh and we said yeah is more uh is more uh eloquent in the Arabic language without right it is more eloquent you can also say say the but it is more eloquent if you see in the Quran it is mostly used without the T right so Allah is saying to Adam and and and ha to uh live in the Jenna or stay in the Jenna or dwell in the Jenna right but the question here is Allah does not mention the name of right does not mention the name of his spouse he says we said oh Adam so Allah is mentioning Adam with his name right and then Allah is telling him to dwell he didn't say you and why why is Allah not mentioning the name of of uh while he mentioned the name the name of Adam yeah who can tell us why Allah is not mentioning it and you need to know one thing is that there is not a single woman mentioned by name in the Quran other than uh Mariam and and for the reason of that she has the miraculous birth Etc this specifically Mariam is the only one mentioned with her name in the Quran there's no other woman mentioned by name in the Quran right so from the okay excellent excellent preservation because of Etc okay good so the Arabs have this this habit right but but you know you get someone get someone say you know what look look at these Muslims belittling their women they mention the Daves this and other you get all of these like uh crazy feminist blah blah blah blah right so it's from the habit of the Arabs not to mention the name of someone that someone does not mention the name of his wife right out of as you say as you say shyness protective jealousy preservation Etc all of these things right respect the an owner that they have for their women is that they do not mention their their women with their names they do not mention them with their names to strangers to people who are uh outside they do not mention them with their names they not call them with their names right so this is going into extra levels in respect and preservation and honor and all of that and unlike you know to see the women of the disbelievers for example you see the woman has to to take the name of the husband after marriage you know there's no such thing in Islam for example so they would come and complain about Muslim women for example but you see even her name she's not allowed to keep after she gets married in the Wiest Society right the the the she has to take the the name of her husband you know she has to follow the same name that he had while in Islam there's no such thing she the woman is called with her name she remains with her name before marriage after marriage that is that does not change right uh except in some cases like the Arabs would mention the name of the woman when there is a need like for example the thei of when he came to the prophet and he said to the prophet who's the most beloved person to you so then he said he mentioned by name right that she is the most beloved person because there's a need here he's asking to specify which one of the wives so he has to give the name right so they mention the names and there is a need but if there is no need they preserve the name there out of respect out of Honor Etc do they do not mention uh the name and because in in in in Islam the woman is following she follows the husband the husband is the leader he's the one who makes the decision this is how it is in the Islamic community and it is how it is in many cultures or most cultures right until feminism came in the picture you know okay all right so said uh uh oh Adam uh dwell or or remain in in in J you and your wife or your spouse and eat from it means like freely openly without any tiredness Etc whatever you like whatever you choose whatever you want wherever you like whatever you choose whatever you wish you can eat but then Allah says but do not right do not come near this specific tree do not come near this tree that you'll be from the wrongdoers so Allah told Adam uh and told his spouse to eat from whatever they wish right without tiredness in Jenna except the specific tree now which tree is it you get someone telling you Apple Tree Orange Tree COC tree there's no such thing right in the Quran in the Sunnah and the there is no evidence from the revelation of what type of tree it was and it is really irrelevant right but you've got like the bibl tradition you got people believing it's apple and this and that how does it matter what type of tree is you know whether it's orig what matters is a test what matters is the test so in the Quran and there's no identification of what kind of tree is it you've got some of the maybe saying oh what specific tree given some names this and that there is no evidence identifying what kind of a specific tree it is but what is important is the command is the Allah said to Adam and how to eat from any everywhere except the specific tree and and that is like a sign for us as Muslims as well like the Allah when it comes to and he gives us everything eat all the foods you like you know but don't eat pork and eat all of these Foods Halal foods but don't eat Haram you get people eating Haram you know drink all of these things which are permissible are Halal for you drink juice drink water milk honey whatever you like drink but don't drink alcohol you get people go into drink alcohol so it is this test that you see there it reflects also on our life on our day today basis on how we behave as Muslims we get a s a very similar state that Allah has given us so many things right eat this you're allowed to do this you're allowed to go there you're allowed to behave in this way but don't do this and this and this specific thing do not become from the do not become from the wrong uh doers right do not become from the disobedient people and here's something is important where Allah he said do not come near do not come near so Allah did did not say do not eat from this tree Allah said do not come near this tree and from this we take one of the the the most important rulings that we have in in the which is is sometimes you stop people from a specific act not because that act itself is Haram it's because it leads you to another thing which is Haram right like Allah says about alcohol Allah is saying means that you'll be in one side and it will be in the other side Allah did not say don't drink it he said you stay in one side it's a complete different side do not even come near it because thean has steps you know so you come near and then you come closer then you come closer then you start doing that specific thing so this rule of of uh or or making a specific thing commanding people not to do a specific thing so they don't fall in in the big thing this is like present all over the text in the Quran and Hadith Etc this is an example here and we said for example about the this is another example uh of why Allah will prohibit certain things right lowering the person's gaze so they do not it does not in the end lead them to something else right because you lowering your gaze Etc the way a woman speaks in Her speech all of these things if you look at the Quran and Hadith there's many examples of things that Allah will command the person uh not to do or to do to avoid something which is even bigger or major that they could fall into if they started doing that thing repeatedly uh and let's stop here inshallah uh verse uh 35 and we'll continue inshallah in the next uh lesson uh anything I said correct is from Allah anything I said wrong is from me and thean sub uh yes so sister gives another example here for example not come near Zena so Allah does not say do not do Zena he says do not come near Zena and as I said there are like thousands of uh evidences for that that you can find in the Quran and Hadith for this specific rule that that is a part of the sh okay so let's take some questions on the class or on the verses that we spoke about inshallah uh and then we do a quick uh Muslim uh Q&A so let's take any questions on the specific class if you got questions go ahead h yeah some people were saying I said this yeah of course this is a slip of the tongue I'll edit it later inshallah after the uh the video but yeah everyone has a slip of the tongue you know here or there you could say something uh by mistake okay yeah we we'll do maybe a Muslim Q&A after inshallah let's see if we got any questions here specific on the class or no or we can maybe end this one early start the other one uh who is El exactly was he an angel are you sure you watched the the the full video or no yeah El we explained this part El is not an angel is from the Jin but he was among the Angels so when Allah Asel said to the angels uh prostrate now when you have someone of a higher status who's going to do a specific act and you are present uh then you are a priority to do the ACT if they're higher status than you higher level than you better than you and they're doing it you cannot just sit down there and look and watch right uh so so El by by extension is supposed to prostrate because he is in a presence of the Angels who are better than him and they are prostrating so he is supposed to also prostrate because he is among them within in their group right and they are in a higher level uh so he is like By Priority he's supposed to prostrate if that makes sense that is why he was asked asked why he was not prostrated yeah okay another good question are we on Earth because of of Adam's sin or because of other reasons we said in the like in in the the last maybe the last verse we said that Allah is saying when we said to the angels I'm going to place aif on the earth so Allah is saying this before Adam even exists in the picture that he's going to be placed on Earth so we are not on Earth because Adam ate from the tree yeah we're not on Earth because Adam ate from the tree Allah said from the beginning he's going to place Adam on Earth we are on Earth because Allah wanted us to be on earth that is why we're here ah okay good question was the Jenna where Adam was on Earth or not the Jenna where Adam was was the Jenna above was the Jenna above was not on Earth because Allah is here speaking to the angels right you see this this Allah is teaching Adam right Allah is teaching Adam the names of all things and then he asked the Angels what are the names of these things are the Angels on Earth or or or in the S the angels are in the S right and when Allah is speaking about the Earth he's speaking about it as a separate entity when he said to the angels I'm going to place on Earth aif so he's speaking already about it as as a separate entity right when he when Allah is addressing it so Adam and they were in Jenna they were in Jenna they were not on Earth I know some people are saying oh no no they were in Earth and it was in a high place and they came down no they were in Jenna they were from there you can see the angels and you can see all of these specific things happening they were in the S at that time how can I not be arrogant to I know Islam is the truth well we said arrogance is to reject the truth so saying the truth is not arrogance it's a difference but you canot belittle the people just because you know the truth so so this is the second side of the arrogance so just because you know something is true I could say I know you're ignorant you don't know what you're talking about like this and that and start belittling someone with my knowledge even though it is I have knowledge or Islam is the truth that doesn't mean I can do it that's still arrogant we explained that in the other T if you want to go into back to that inshallah you will get the answer for that question is the same J of the yes it's the same jna of the yes but he saw parts of it not all all of it basically he saw certain parts of it uh is made from fire made he's both of them are made from fire fire is fire you want to call it smokeless or it is still fire you know so uh all of the Jin are created from fire is Created from the same substance as the Jin because he is a Jin they're not created from different things basically so when he says fire he's referring to that smokeless fire he's not referring to something different basically can angels to disobey Allah no Allah says do not disobey Allah What He commands them to do they do not disobey Allah that's not an option for an angel to to disobey Allah okay let's end the this this one here and we start a Muslim Q&A in a bit like in a few minutes okay do women if they want okay I'm not going to answer that okay may Allah Grant you J what app is this this app is like this is a website called quran.com okay I'll see you guys inallah in the in the Muslim Q&A in just in a bit yeah
