Hello and welcome to Redwood Prime Reality Wisdom Wednesdays. So today I want to talk about a really really exciting article that came out from realer.com. So realer.com did a study on affordable housing which is a hot button issue actually near and dear to our hearts here at at Redwood Companies and they did the two studies. One was the least affordable places to live. The other was the most affordable place. The least affordable places, things that you would expect, places you'd expect. New York City, San Diego, Miami, places where it costs a lot of money to live. And in relation to median income to housing costs, the most affordable places was really exciting and it doesn't take us by surprise, but it is a national article. Number one on that list, Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Okay, just down the road from us here in Altuna. Number eight on the list, Altuna, Pennsylvania. So, why that's so exciting to us is that the they were talking about affordability, not talking about cheap. The difference between cheap and affordable is this. Cheap houses you can find anywhere in the country in the ghetto or places where nobody wants to live, where you could buy houses for a dollar or maybe people give you money to take them. That's cheap. That's not affordable. Affordable means that you take the median income of an area and correlate that with the median house price and that means affordable. That means your dollar stretches farther in in affordable areas. Okay. So when realer.com did this study that means that Johntown, Pennsylvania is the number one place to live if you want your dollar to stretch farther. All right? Especially in relation to housing. and Altuna, Pennsylvania. Number eight. That means there's only seven other places in this entire country according to.com where you can find a house as affordable as here in Altuna, PA. And that coupled with all the cool stuff that's happening here, First Frontier, they're doing the trail systems, a lot of infrastructure coming into town. It's super exciting to be here in central Pennsylvania at a time like this as the number eight most affordable place to live. So that should encourage you to go out, buy a house, go out, invest in this area because the value should only go up because we are the number eight most affordable place in the country.
