Hello guys and welcome to a new YouTube video. I'm at the OMR. So we now need to get accredited first. Great. Thank you very much. I now have everything and we can get started. I'm already very excited. This video will probably be a bit shorter. I'm here alone and will simply take you along, show you everything. I don't have that many expectations. Let's see how it all looks, what I experience here, what I learn here. The OMR is the largest marketing trade fair in Germany. I think they sold 70,000 tickets. If I'm not mistaken. So, I will of course verify that before I publish this video. But yeah, let's see how it goes. As always, I'm taking you along. And in this video I will explain to you lots of words from a pronunciation perspective. In the last few weeks I've noticed quite often that my participants in the courses frequently pronounce vocabulary completely wrong. And we'll be working on that in the coming weeks, in the upcoming YouTube videos. And today we're starting and the first verb that I want to explain to you is the verb "holen" (to fetch/get). So, I picked up my ticket, my pass. Picked up. I'll show you two versions or I'll say it for you. Holen, holen. Ich hole, ich hole. Do you hear the difference? So, "hole" Ich hole den Pass. (I'm getting the pass.) Ich hole den Pass ab. (I'm picking up the pass.) Here the O is long. "holen" So, if you pronounce the verb "holen" incorrectly, then just try now to practice with me. Record yourself and repeat. Repeat after me. Ich hole den Pass ab. (I'm picking up the pass.) Not "ich holle," but "ich hole." The best thing is if you compare your pronunciation with mine. Okay. We've checked off the first verb. Now let's continue. I'm walking around here. And I have to say, when you're all alone at a conference, then it's partly a bit lonely. There are a lot of people, but you're still a bit lonely. Well, I'm going to a presentation soon. Oh! That's quite a long line. Wow. That's where I actually wanted to go. But it's full. Conference stage closed. Not so cool. Just really great. Great start. I was just standing for an hour in line and just left the line. It just annoyed me and I missed two presentations that I was interested in. So first I'll go get myself a coffee. So, I only found one coffee stand and the line there was so long that it wouldn't have been worth it to wait there that long. So, yeah, unfortunately I didn't get a coffee. But I have something else for you here. Another word that I wanted to explain. "Kaffee" (coffee) is the drink. Kaffee. And "Café" is the place where you drink the coffee. Kaffee. There you pronounce the A short. Kaffee. And "Café," there the emphasis is on the E. "Café." And you pronounce this word long. Café. I see a matcha bar. So, maybe I'll drink a matcha instead of a coffee. And by the way, guys, there's something really, really great in this video. Oh, TV tower. I thought about it and I of course want to help you, not just simply give a few pronunciation tips, but really fundamentally help with pronunciation. That's why you'll find a small bonus pronunciation course in the info box. So, I'll leave you the link for it in the info box. Everyone who would like to work on their pronunciation can get this course for free and practice a bit. There are tips and tricks in the course. I will structure everything so that in the shortest amount of time at least a little bit you can improve your pronunciation. A few moments later Now I finally have my coffee, well, a cappuccino. And by the way, guys, most hot drinks are masculine in the German language. So, you say So remember that. Hot drinks are masculine. So, I was just in a Meta master class. That was fun. Yeah, now I'm a bit sad because at the end you could win a Meta smart glasses and yeah, unfortunately I didn't win anything. So, they handed out numbers and then just randomly selected a number. And exactly, unfortunately it wasn't my number. You always hope of course that you win something, but yeah, not today. Otherwise I'm heading to the expo soon. So, there are also lots of exhibitors here, lots of companies that are presenting their products, that, yeah, can or want to find new customers. And that's exactly where I'm heading now and I'm really curious what awaits me there. So, I'm here at the Meta booth and want to try on the new AI glasses soon. I didn't win them, but I want to try them on. By the way, that's also a good point, guys. "Probieren" (to try/taste) and "anprobieren" (to try on) are two different verbs. "Probieren" you use with food. Probieren (to taste/try). And "anprobieren" you can use for various clothing items or jewelry or sunglasses. Looks a bit big. Uh yeah, it's relatively big. So, now I look like a teacher lady. Mine had nothing in it. Ah, now. I'm a bit overwhelmed right now. What should I write on it? I recently ran the Zurich Seville Marathon. And I saw the sign. And remembered my marathon experience. And thought to myself: Oh, life is a marathon. Maybe I'll write that. What is that again? I didn't catch that just now. You'll be taken up... Oh, you can climb up there? So, you'll be taken up. Oh, okay. Yeah, that's really cool. That's manageable. So, I'm back now. I bought flowers here. My, one of my best friends now lives in Hamburg. They moved and she became a mom. And on Sunday it's Mother's Day. So, this is her first Mother's Day. That's why I decided to buy her flowers. By the way, guys, here comes another word, it just spontaneously came to my mind: You hear, I don't say: Mutter (mother). I don't say "Mutter." I say "Mutter." I'm not using a microphone right now. So I hope you can hear me. This R at the end is not pronounced. So you say: "Es ist Muttertag." (It's Mother's Day.) You simply don't pronounce the R at all. It's simply just an A. So, it's Mother's Day. Make sure to check out the free pronunciation course. I will definitely leave you the link for it in the comments and in the info box. This mini pronunciation course will help you improve a few small things in your pronunciation. You can't immediately make everything better, but a few small things you can definitely change. Brief interruption: We'll continue shortly with my video from Hamburg. Lately I've been getting more and more messages like this. You're asking whether I offer private lessons. Unfortunately, I don't. There are too many requests, but I have the best partners that I've been working with for years. It's a platform with thousands of qualified teachers. The platform is called Preply. With my code "NATALIA 50" you get 50% off your first lesson on Preply. You can simply click on the link below this video and immediately book your first private lesson on Preply. And the best part is, with a private teacher you can track your progress very precisely. You set your goals at the beginning and can then together with the teacher work on your personal German goals. I wish you lots of success. Click on the link. Book your first lesson. That's your first step. And for us it continues with the video from Hamburg. Day 2 in Hamburg. Today it's even a bit colder and it's still gray. I'm now heading back to the OMR, or rather I'm heading to a Female Founder Breakfast. I'm a bit nervous, but I'm looking forward to it, to meeting new people and yeah, I'm excited. Here's my scooter. The traffic is crazy in Hamburg. With the scooter I'm actually the fastest getting around. So, let's go! Say "hello" guys, You're on my YouTube channel! I was just very sad because I left my water bottle somewhere. But then I accepted it and thought: Whatever! I'm going back to the conference now and taking a scooter. And look guys: The water bottle is still hanging on the scooter that I came with. Oh, how lovely! I love Hamburg. Okay, it's raining. I'm heading to the conference now and then I'll tell you how it was. So, now I can once more chat with you a bit. The conference is slowly coming to an end and we just listened to Heidi Klum's presentation. And it was so good. Well, it wasn't a presentation. It was an interview, like a fireside chat and it was really cool, was a lot of fun. Now let's continue. I'm now going to another interview/presentation by the Hyrox founder and after that I'm flying home. I'm back in Frankfurt. On the last day in Hamburg I actually, so at the end of the OMR I didn't record anything more. I was so drained, guys. That's maybe a new word for you. So exhausted, tired. Especially when you've given a lot of energy. And yeah, that's exactly what happened to me. But I really enjoyed the trip. In the end it was a lot of fun after all. I hope you also had a lot of fun with me. Remember to like this video and also to get the free pronunciation course. We'll see each other very soon, next week in a new YouTube video.
