GoHighLevel Automation Tutorial | 2. Form/Survey Submit Automation

hey guys welcome to this video in this video we are going to see how to create a workflow or an automation for a form submission let's say we have a form created inside this high level sub account what we want to do is perform a specific number of automation based on the form submission so whenever someone submits that form that's embedded in a website maybe or that you're using independently uh via a link whenever that form is submitted we want some automation to happen so let's go to sites and uh let's go to forms Builder let's say we have a form you can create a form um really simple to do and uh so this is the form full name email phone number I agree to the terms and conditions submit so nothing fancy we just need to preview this that's our form right there and the form name is contact form so what we want to do is we want to go back now we know that we are working with this form right so I'll go back to automation I'll go to a folder because I like to create folders for workflows because I create a lot of them um I'll start from scratch but what I want to do is I'll just name it for submit automation now what will be the initial trigger right so it will be form submitted and now in add filters I want to do one more thing saying form contact form so I don't want these actions that I will Define in this workflow to happen for all all the forms in this account I just want specifically for contact form submissions and uh I'll just do like form submitted form is contact form that's it fairly simple now the first thing I want to do is I want to get a notification myself so I'll send me myself a notification that's the first action I want to perform so I'll say from name I'll say uh HSM CRM because I call it home service Mastery I'll say uh in go at net and to user type it could be an assigned user if I assign myself in this workflow uh I mean if I assign the lead myself I can do assign user and uh I'll say new form submission here I'll say hi there has been new form submission so it's name email phone number and here you can use custom values in goh LEL that's a really cool feature so I'll say name contact. email contact. phone number all right so that's going to dynamically fetch whatever there is in the form submission uh all the data and then send it to you so that's a basic Auto notific ification you're sending yourself and uh because I have selected assigned user you can by the way you can totally do it uh to a custom email address you can send it to your uh your email address by selecting custom email and putting the email here but I'll do assign user and then I will as a first step I'll just assign this lead to myself right okay and then I could do wait for a few seconds maybe and then I'll just send an email to the lead so I'll say SE report um thank you for getting in touch I I can say I can now I have the name because he submitted the form right so I'll say hi person name thanks for getting in touch I will call you shortly T that's about it so we sending an email you can also send an SMS by the way that's totally fine let's see what else can you do so if you have a pipeline created you can create a tile in the pipeline so I'll say create or update opportunity that's the action so I'll say lead I have a pipeline created in this account called lead and in there I have a stage called new lead so I'm creating a pipeline opportunity in this pipeline lead in the stage new lead in as the opportunity name I mean the name of the tile I'll just say contact. full name you can see you can uh write down where it came from like contact form obviously you can assign a lead value which will be a potential sale value for this lead you can select the status is open because we haven't sold anything to this lead yet just submitted the form and draft to publish hit save that's pretty much it that's what you need to do and you can by the way test it by submitting this form and going to the enrollment history to see if the form submit uh actions are working properly so I'll do I'll do submit and now if I go back to enrollment history it should show me that a form submission has come through so always check it and by the way if you go to settings if you want these automations to be performed for multiple form submissions like if the same lead submits the form multiple times and then if you want the automations to happen every time they submit the form you just need to allow re-entry from here and stop and respones another use case which I can describe uh on another video another day but for now that should be it so it's a fairly simple form submit automation now what else is out there so if we go back to form surveys so a lot of you may need surveys which are basically multi-step forms form is just one page a bunch of fields fill it out that's it survey is multi-step so questions keep coming so if you have a survey like this in in your account you can perform literally all the actions that we just saw so all we need to do is just go to form submit Automation and then create a workflow like uh this and instead the trigger will be survey submitted and here you just select the survey from here there's only one survey in this account right now so that should be it if you save it this these automation will start working for the survey instead of the form so you can have a separate workflow created for that as well but for now I'll just call it form submit and the form is uh contact form that's it that's pretty much it guys so hope this video makes sense and hope this
