colleagues do on this panel. It's Donald Trump, baby. Yep. >> It's all about Donald Trump, right? The the old pivot. We're not going to talk about what's going on in Somalia and what's or not going to talk about what's going on in Minnesota with this massive fraud scandal. We're going to talk about Donald Trump. With my remaining seconds, can we play the video I have? Mr. Chairman, >> you want to know the moment the entire room went silent? The second that video started playing. One minute Democrats were shouting racism and xenophobia and the next minute they were staring at the floor because when receipts hit the screen, the noise stops. And if you're tired of being told you're the bad guy for noticing corruption, hit subscribe right now because this is exactly what they don't want you to see. This, of course, comes after weeks of viral videos from a young man YouTuber who was literally creeping around daycares by himself, making claims about fraud that were not there. And then the vice president and the FBI director were retweeting these videos without even verifying if they were true. So, we're we're not accusing people of being xenophobic and racist. They are being xenophobic and racist, including the president of the United States. And I want to say for one that I stand with the Somali and the immigrant community standing here today, >> Mr. Hudson, are you just hearing from Republicans on this or are Democrat constituents like, "Oh my god, I'm struggling to put my kids in school, struggling to make ends meet, and my tax dollars are being robbed by people, and then they're sending it all over the place, and this is complete fraud. What is going on? And why hasn't anything been done about it?" >> I'll give you a personal example. So, my family, my in-laws in particular, are politically diverse. A lot of them vote for Democrats, and they're fairly apolitical. They're not like me all plugged in. And so I kind of use them as a bellweather for what the people are thinking. Across the board, everybody is upset about this fraud. And I'm guessing when you guys bring this up, whether it's to the Waltz administration, whether it's to the AG, the the number one thing that comes back at you is you're a racist, you're a white supremacist, or you're an Islamophobe. As we've seen Governor Waltz now trying to answer for these questions, he's doing it at the national level. Do you guys do you guys hear the same thing at the state level as well? >> Yes, absolutely. That they always pivot to the divisive, as I stated in my opening statement, it's diversion, right? We're going to talk about personalities. We're going to talk about partisan politics. We're going to find some way to get people yelling at each other rather than looking at the problem. >> Or like you've heard my colleagues do on this panel, it's Donald Trump, baby. Mr. Chairman 10 million meals act andchech. Ramadan city. One thing that is so alarming is the reporting that many of these fraudulent companies are then donating the stolen money back to the same Democrats that are protecting them and advocate for these very programs. Is is that correct? U Mr. Hudson, >> I would agree with that statement. >> Well, we just had one of my Democrat colleagues said these are just opinions. Do you know are are these guys donating money back to Democrats? >> Yes, they are. >> I'd like to enter into the record, Mr. chairman an article from Breitbart News saying with the title being database searches show Somali fraudsters funding Democrat politicians. So these aren't opinions >> objing on this. Um are you guys aware you guys are elected officials in Minnesota right? Are you guys aware of the reporting that some of the stolen money is getting funneled back to the Islamic terror group al-Shabaab in Somalia? >> Mr. Robbins. Yes, sir. And we have evidence of it going back as far as 2012, where a man was convicted of sending 21,000 to al-Shabaab in 2011. Two Minnesota women were convicted of sending money to different uh groups. Someone else um >> what happened in that hearing was a perfect snapshot of modern politics. The second serious questions were raised about massive fraud tied to Minnesota daycare programs. The response wasn't accountability. It was outrage about the fraud, about the fact that someone dared to talk about it. You had Democrats immediately pivoting to the usual playbook. This is xenophobic. This is racist. This is Islamophobic. That's the shield. That's the deflection. Because if you can label your opponent something ugly, you never have to address the substance of the accusation. But here's where it got interesting. Instead of backing down, Eli Crane doubled down. He didn't shout. He didn't rant. He asked a simple question. Are Democrat constituents also upset about taxpayer money being stolen? And the answer was yes. Across political lines, everyday Americans are furious when they think their tax dollars are being abused. That's not racism. That's common sense. Then came the real bombshell. allegations that some of these fraudulent operators were donating money back to Democrat politicians. Now, if that's true, that's not just mismanagement. That's a machine. Taxpayer money goes out the door, fraud happens, and somehow political donations come back into campaign coffers. If even a fraction of that is accurate, that's explosive. And what was the response? Not let's investigate, not let's clean this up. The response was essentially, "You're terrible for bringing it up." That's the pattern. When concerns were raised about pandemic relief fraud, same thing. When questions were asked about foreign aid accountability, same thing. When anyone points out waste, fraud, or abuse, the debate shifts from, "Is this happening?" to how dare you notice. At one point, discussion even touched on past convictions involving funds being sent overseas with references to extremist groups benefiting through financial networks. Now, that is a national security issue. That's not a culture war talking point. That's serious. And serious issues deserve serious investigation, not emotional diversion. But diversion is powerful because if the conversation turns into a moral accusation, you don't have to answer financial questions. If critics are painted as bigots, the facts become secondary. And here's the broader issue. Charity versus corruption. Real charity is voluntary. It's transparent. It's accountable. It doesn't depend on bloated bureaucracy or political middlemen. When government programs are exploited and politicians refuse to acknowledge the abuse, that's not compassion, that's negligence. The American system only works if oversight works. If we can't question where money is going without being smeared, then oversight dies. And when oversight dies, corruption grows. What struck me most about that hearing wasn't the shouting. It was the silence after the video played. Because silence means something hit. Silence means something couldn't be easily dismissed. Silence means the narrative got uncomfortable. And uncomfortable is where truth usually lives. Look, fraud should outrage everyone, Republican, Democrat, independent. If your tax dollars are being stolen, you should want answers. If donations are cycling back into political hands, you should demand transparency. None of that requires hatred. It requires accountability. That's the difference. So, if you believe sunlight is the best disinfectant, stick around, like the video, subscribe, because these moments when the talking points fall apart and the room goes quiet, those are the moments that matter most. And the more people see them, the harder they are to ignore.
