I said, "Do you believe in that?" I don't. She does. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe just I'll tell you I'll tell you why I don't try. Okay. Is my um mother passed away in 2018. Okay. Me dad in 2020. Both of fancy. My husband passed away last August 52 of canc. And my friend is got probably a couple of days left. So I think if there's a god, why isn't he taking care of people? I I'm going to say something and first I'm sorry to hear that but I'm going to say something. I want you to try to reflect on what I say. Do we exist in this life so we can live forever or did God give every single one of us a time where we will leave this life? I might be younger than my parents, right? I'm younger than my parents but I could die before my parents crossing the the road and I could get hit by a car. Right. Yeah. Allah when he put put us in this life, we believe this life is a test. Nobody is here to live forever. Only one who's ever living is God. The method of how we die can be different from one person to another. Plus, I'll tell you something which a lot of people don't consider as well. Sometimes we exist in this life. There's a lot of distractions around us. And sometimes difficulties can come in our life to remind us of why we're here as well. Why do we exist? But there's something that is very important to understand that we don't just exist in this life. There's an afterlife. I could lose my family members, but they're not gone forever. That's what my husband said. That's what my husband said. Yeah. So, it's only if I live an atheistic world view, then do I believe that we turn into dust and then that this is the final separation between me and them and them. Not only is it cruel, but it makes no sense because I didn't create myself. Your parents did not create you because if they give you life, they're not going to cry when you die, right? Because they didn't give you life to begin with. They just gave you that vessel, the body, and God has given you that soul, right? The consciousness that you and me possess. So Allah has created us and he put us in this life as a test and everyone when does your test end when you take the paper right that paper is your life whenever it's taken only God knows when it's taken and that's why when we live in this life like for example I'll ask you how long did your parents live in this life my mom was 62 and my dad was 69 62 and 69 so Allah has given a chance for your parents and he's given me a chance and he's given a chance for everyone for this lifetime that they live even if I die today or tomorrow. I believe I've had my chance to research Islam, to look for the truth, and to pass that test by doing the best I can in this life. So true success is succeeding the test by dying upon the correct understanding and doing as much good as you can in this life. You exist here for a reason, right? So yes, Allah in the Quran, this is the thing. Someone comes and tells me there's suffering in this life, I say, Allah in the Quran has promised that there would be suffering. Allah tells us in the Quran, we will test you with uh hunger, loss of life, loss of wealth, with uh calamities. Allah promises us in the Quran that this will happen to us. We lose our children, we lose money, we lose everything. And there are people who will live an easier life than others. There are people who live more difficult life cuz everyone has a different test and everyone has a different capacity. You have a certain capacity. I have a certain capacity. But Allah promises in the Quran that he's not going to overburden you more than you can handle. So sometimes when people come to me about someone that they lost, I tell them, do you did you then in a way in your mind subconsciously think this person is going to live forever? But nobody lives forever. No. No. I don't live forever. Nobody will live forever. We're all going to leave one day. But the question is when are we going to leave and how are we going to live? Cuz what matters is the afterlife that is going to come. Not not this life that we live. This is the world view that we operate under as Muslims. And that's why if I lose someone, Allah has promised me in the Quran, he said that Allah if you die, if you're righteous and your progeny is righteous and they live a good life, Allah will unite you with them. It's not like this is the end of everything, right? We don't look at life like this. That's why I can lose something in this life. But I know I'll be rewarded for it in the after life. I know if I leave certain desires in this life, if I leave certain things that are there in front of me, Allah is going to replace me better in the afterlife. Right? So it's all under your world view, right? how you're living your life is going to reflect all of these things. So, it's going to give you comfort in your life. If you have God as your foundation, as your b as your basis, it'll give you comfort in your life. But this, there is nothing more depressing. And I'll tell you the truth, there is nothing more depressing than an atheistic worldview. There are people who move away from God because they think that is a better position. But then when they realize, okay, there's no good and bad without God at all. Because good and bad is coming coming from God. from religion, from scripture, from what God teaches you, what is correct, what is not correct. Even in this country in today, they don't follow religion. But if you go, you look at the laws, it's based on ten commandments. It has to be based on something which is based on religion. Otherwise, it's just my opinion. Today in the western world, because of secularism, it's a life of opinion. It's how I feel and what I think is what determines what is right and wrong. This is how people live their life today. Right? So when you live as an atheist, there is no right and wrong really. That's that's what Stalin, you know who Stalin was, right? That's what Stalin figured out. He read Dharm's book. He said we're just uh you know evolved beings and we're just matters. I'm going to rearrange matter this matter from here to there. That's it. That's what he thinks. That is how he lived his life and that's what he wrote. So an atheistic world worldview offers you nothing by depression. No meaning, no answer, no uh explanation or answers for why you exist, let alone what's going to happen to you when you die. So I can be angry at God for something that happened. But the question is did God promise me other than what happened to me? But did God did God promise me eternality or eternality of my family members or an easy life? Then does it make sense that I'm angry when God promised me the opposite that will have? So what God told me is what happened. But I'm still angry because I was more attached sometimes to people or things that I am attached to God. The one who created me and created those people and who is able to unite me with unite me with them and who's able to give them life and who's the one who's given me life to begin with. So I think the best solution is for me to take that step to follow and practice and bring God into my life and then understand that this is how I'm going to be united with them in the afterlife cuz any day I'm not going to be here like I said I'm here today talking to you tomorrow we could hear news I'm passed away right and you don't realize like I I know someone who uh one day they just went to the hospital just by by you know it was not planned and then they were told they have this cyst in their stomach that is huge and they could die any day if it if it opens, right? Like out of nowhere, you could one day realize that you have something that you're going to die the next day. You don't know what's going on, right? So, we live a life, we need to understand this is always a possibility. Like whether it's a medical thing, whether it's an accident, whether it's whatever, anyone can pass away, anyone can die. And that's why this is what makes it very important that we take our decisions about believing in God and doing righteousness and doing as much as we can as fast as we can. that we don't delay that we don't just like worry about distractions which are temporary like you want to hear music you want to go out and party you want this this is what people are thinking about right all of it limited things which doesn't really bring us happiness brings us nothing but depression right people go into all of these wrong relationships heartbroken being used and abused they built defenses they have children out of wedlock then they have to abort and kill an innocent human being they drink wake up in the morning completely gone they want to throw up in the bathroom they're regretting what they did right these are temporary things. They're distractions, but none of them are good for us and they're not going to change the fact that we are going to die one day. That's why the prophet, he told Prophet Muhammad, he told us that mention more of that which destroys the pleasures. He didn't say death. He didn't call it death. He call it destroyer of pleasures. Why? So he can wake us up. Okay, you have these pleasures. They're distracting you. Something is going to destroy all these pleasures and it will come which is certain. He only tell you two things are certain, right? Access and death, right? It's only it's it's certain. It's going to come one day. It's going to come. And I say always to people, it's not about age. I have family member that passed away so young in their 20s and in their baby, right? Years. No, anyone can pass away. It's not about how old you are. Cuz a lot of people look at it this way. Oh, average life expectancy. But who tells you you're going to be from the average? You don't know. You can pass away any time. So, what's important, I think, right now is that we reflect that. Why did God put us in this life? He's put us to test us. How can we uh follow the command of God in our life? There's commandments of prayer that God has told us. There's commandments of being good to people around us. Commandments of recognizing him as our creator. No other human beings. Nothing human is worthy of worship. So only Allah the creator is the one who's worthy of worship. And if we live our life on that basis, I guarantee you you will have satisfaction in your life. And when calam calamities happen, you'll understand. Allah says in the Quran, those who they have a calamity, they say we belong to Allah and to Allah we shall return. When we when we ever have a big calamity, we say these words. Why? We belong to Allah. Meaning Allah has created us. Like I'm here, I'm just the creation of God and to him we shall return. Whatever I feel right now, me, I return to him. My family return to him. If I lost money, I'm going to return to God. And then there either be eternal bless or eternal punishment. Right? So if I lived a good life and I didn't care about the calamity, I'm going to be united. I will be I'll see God and I will live this life of eternal bless in the end. Right? So that these two words of I belong to Allah and to him I shall return gives me complete satisfaction in my life. That is a pillar in our faith. We have six pillars of faith. That's one of them. Destiny things are destined. They happen. And you understand that God is a part of everything that happens in your life. He's put you here and he gives you opportunities and chances. He puts things in your life. Something might be bad. You think he's bad but he's good. Allah says in the Quran, you might have something that happens to you. You think it's bad, but it's good for you. You might love something and it's bad for you. You might hate something and it's good for you. Allah says and Allah knows and you do not know. So this is all found word is in the Quran. All I'm telling you right now is I'm telling you Allah has already given us all the answers. Right? You ask me that question about about death, right? If someone read the Quran, you will understand. So Allah will repeatedly tell you in the Quran, you will lose your family. And then Allah, the prophet told us the people, the more righteous they are, the more they're tested. So sometimes some people look, oh this person prays every day, but he has cancer or he has this sickness or he has but he's tested more because his faith is more than yours. So he's able to bear more than you because your faith is weak. The first thing is going to shake you. But they are they have a strong faith. So even if they have a strong test, they still are able to maintain their faith. If that makes sense. Cuz that that's like my husband's parents. I'm surprised how they've kind of not not forgotten about it, but how they've handled it. Yes. They they had their faith. That's why I'm telling you that faith is a foundation that can crash everything. And and look, you're getting emotional about it right now. You're crying. But they if you talk to them that time, they'll tell you that. They tell you we have God. We understand. Say to we don't cry. Don't learn. because he understands and he not only he understands he knows that it's going to happen that there is an afterlife and there is a reward for the things that happens in our life and that's why Allah says in the Quran do not think those who were killed in the path of God do not think they're dead they are alive with their lord they are happy and waiting for those who will come after them that is the mentality we have like I don't think that someone passed away this is bad this is evil they lived the righteous life they did as much as they can they did good Allah sees Allah sees what's what everyone does, right? And he rewards us. He's he's loving and merciful. He created them for and he allowed them to be a part of our life and he allowed them to have all of these good moments that we had with them, right? So read the Quran. This is what I'm going to tell you. Read the Quran and you will see the comfort that I'm telling you, the sources from what God has told me. It doesn't come from anything else.
