this is everything I learned and made in a little over a week of using gdau for the first time I started out by following the 2D game tutorial on the gdau website then I decided I wanted to try to make a game kind of like vampire survivors I downloaded some free pixel art assets and got a character moving around the screen then I added an enemy and had it follow the player next I got the player firing arrows that damage enemies then I started spawning infinite enemies then I decided the background could be a little bit more interesting then I wanted to make my own pixel art which was probably a poor choice but I made this Elf character here and this enemy and that was it for this project it now looks a bit worse but at least I can say I made it myself then I tried doing some procedural train generation then I tried making a 2d platformer I found some free assets and got my character animated then I wanted to add an enemy so I added in a squishy chicken that I made myself the background was getting a bit boring so I improved it but then I improved it even further by adding a parallax effect that I set up Collision detection for a sword swing animation and added a really fun exploding effect when the character hits the chickens then I added some sound effects and this is the final game
