okay [Music] um you recruitment good to see you all right work yeah okay I'm going to go ahead and get us to kind of start start getting started to be in the Saturday before Palm Sunday I think we got a lot of people out handing out door knockers and invitations for Easter and things like that so uh praise the Lord for that I just want to give a reminder to anyone you know anyone who's taking the class four credits so if you're taking the class for credit that besides the weekly quiz which I'll give you a keyword for the weekly quiz each week and I'll give you one today it's kind of like um Little Orphan Annie Ovaltine uh secret decoder word um but uh in addition to that there's a book report due on Bank bancroft's Elemental theology and then your own personal statement of faith so a doctrinal statement that you have developed for yourself and I think we gave you the details on completing those in your syllabus and probably even supplemented that with some information I don't know three or four weeks in I believe uh particularly on the doctrinal statement so um so for today let's go ahead and have a word of Prayer and see what God can give us today Father we thank you that we can come before you now ask that you would bring your blessing upon what we do with your word because Lord what we do with your word is foundational to being able to do anything for you in Ministry anything in discipleship anything for anyone else Lord our our world is looking in every nook and cranny except for where they need to look to really find light and so father I pray you would shine your light through your words in our lives our hearts our minds today we ask it in Jesus precious name amen so we're performing a survey of systematic theology and trying to align biblical theology with our discipleship lessons and so really I guess what I would say we've been giving is a discipleship Theology and the intent being to give you the rest of the iceberg that's been beneath lying beneath the ocean and what you teach will be that top portion included in the discipleship lessons and the and the curriculum there uh so you know typically you're only you know probably if you're a good teacher you're only going to teach about a tenth of what you know because that is backed up and that is bolstered by the sound Doctrine for discipleship that we're surveying here but because sound Doctrine is so Central to your life in Christ we're getting ready to turn a corner now to survey how to rightly divide the word of Truth in other words to ground Us in dispensational theology uh part of dispensations is knowing how to correctly interpret your Bible by rightly dividing your Bible as you study it along and another part has to do with prophecy so that you're not ignorant of the Mysteries that lie ahead and so we took a moment last week uh we didn't get into dispensations too much yet but we did Lay the foundation of the different covenants we talked about that we will get more into a little bit of Prophecy background and some things we did not have a chance to get to in the one week that we talked about prophecy and again lay that foundation and and get us into dispensational theology so if you have your Bible turn to Psalm 77 laughs and as we work our way uh to some excuse me 77 I want to be clear on the central issue behind all Theology and that's the matter of biblical Authority so I'm working some again foundational things to go back to kind of a supplement addendum things I didn't have a chance to get to in bibliology and didn't have a chance to get to an eschatology and the reason that biblical Authority is Central is because uh dispensational theology Falls from Biblical Authority kind of like ripe fruits so if you don't do not have a faith-based view of biblical Authority you're not going to see dispensational theology or in the case of all the scholars today and so you know I'll work in also a few words about contemporary theology but in the case of most all of the other theologians today they downgrade and discredit and mock dispensational theology because they don't have the same view of scripture that we do and they come at it totally from a uh you know a a hellenized Greco-Roman philosophical uh so-called scientific aspect so let's talk about biblical Authority in a faith-based view of scripture so our thesis for today is that a faith-based view of biblical Authority means that I have scripture in English and its words give me the certainty of the words of truth like Proverbs 22 verses 20 and 21 say so what I'm I'm doing is working in these issues of contemporary theology as we go through the last third of this course dispensationalism is really what we call a hermeneutic the word hermeneutic means a method of interpreting the Bible it is how to study the Bible and in theology World in Bible colleges and seminaries that's called hermeneutics and really it is as much a hermeneutic as it is a theology so Psalm 77 verse 6 says I call to remembrance my song in the night I commune with mine own heart and my spirits made diligent search now that brings us to our first point for study in the issue of Bible versions while the trade-off appears to be between readability and accuracy modern versions are really neither more accurate because they lack the detailed grammar punctuation italics things that we talked about previously and they're not really readable and we could give you many examples of that so when you want to make when your spirit wants to make diligent search and study and rightly divide you've got to have God's accuracy in your language you've got to have the certainty of the words of truth and if you do not have verbal plenary that means fully that means every word word based scripture for accuracy then really you don't have anything to study and you are left with where the modern scholar ends up today since you don't have authority in the words of a Bible you study uh you you study the transcriptions of letters from A text from a Papyrus you study the scribes themselves you then this is what they're all about today so if you were to take a um if you were to take a tech a course on textual criticism in any Seminary today you would be studying the scribes not the scriptures and what that leaves us with is that you cannot perform exegesis on Modern English translations because the modern translations mess with the words their goal is to only try and bring you a message now they may say they're trying to be as accurate as they can about that message but their goal is not to give you authoritative words that's not even their goal so you can't do simple English Bible exegesis on anything today contemporarily other than a King James Bible so the reason you can't Riley divide this is our second point for study is because if you don't have verbal accuracy then then you have nothing which is written that is right okay so what you have is not quite written right and you can get the message um somewhat of the message that God gave but more really the message that the translator wants to give you and so that is why we have evolved and evolved uh from King James translators uh not not not looking so much at the receptor language they're looking at the original Hebrew and Greek language and over time from Wycliffe in seven printed revisions as we might call it well okay English conformed to the Bible and you know we we made English like our Bible not our Bible like our English and today that's we've done exactly the opposite we make our Bible like our English and have devolved from uh very from a more literal translation like the King James to the more popular ones being NIV which is a dynamic equivalence not word for word and the message translation the New Living Translation things like that so if you do if you have nothing that's written right then you cannot divide it accurately and you totally missed his Sensational Theology and you can be like you know the reformed and calvinist group and you can just make up covenants as you go along and why not because those who in their Camp do textual criticism or receive the text given from the scholars let the scholars make it up as they go along uh so the conflict for The Souls of men and women is is lost because of our sour instead of sound biblical theology why because the masses I might even say the silent M masses have moved the goal posts on biblical Authority and if it used if if for 270 years it was on the King James Bible and that was the goal post to biblical Authority well they pulled it up from there and I don't know where they leave it I don't know where they take it nobody nobody takes it to any other translation you know if you're King James only well okay but nobody's ESV only nobody's nasb only nobody's new King James only nobody's uh so you go back to the text well maybe I'm a text you know Texas receptus only okay which one you you'll never you will never kick a field goal with that goal post because there are about four to six Texas receptaces and now you got it's like six six goal posts out there which one you gonna kick through and you're gonna guess and hope that's the correct one so so that doesn't work so if you just say original manuscripts whatever the scholars give us some original manuscript only okay but we don't have any of those we have no zero and they've given up on trying to reconstruct an original so uh we play so loosely with the Bible in American Christianity and we make it impossible practically for in a practical sense impossible for you to know the certainty of the words of truth and yet the evidence and the Alternatives so the evidence from history God's hand in history and the Alternatives that we can look at prove that we do have the very words of God in the English language and there is a translation which we've gotten that and for modern Christian Scholars the text just like the faith is evolutionary So within the last two decades or so even pastors and preachers in Evangelical them have taken an evolutionary view of the faith and that is why Rob Bell came out in support of you know same-sex marriage type things and stuff like that and that's why some of the other pastors and teachers even who would say they are Evangelical um you know come up and say well you know it's not it's not really a set of things and you know we can we need to reevaluate church needs to reevaluate and we need to repaint our theology according to the age and so it's an evolutionary thing and of course the reformed are very susceptible to that reformed and calvinistic theology because they're not cessationists in other words they accept speaking in tongues and all of that's new revelation and I'm not saying that that they uh you know I'm not saying they've followed that through all of them to The Logical conclusion but I am saying that the philosophy means that they're also subject to this and so Evangelical reformed theologians only believe in a Biblical preservation in some place versus a place so they want to stand for the preservation of the word of God and what they will say is well it is preserved in the 5 800 or close to 5900 manuscript Witnesses we have today someplace I mean they all differ yeah I was somewhere in there you know so it is preserved it's someplace in there so they say it's preserved someplace instead of a place and the some place that they say it's preserved doesn't really actually exist and you know they end up kind of like on the uh on on the subway in The Matrix what was it Matrix two or three and he's down in the subway and it's like an infinite Loop and that that same car keeps coming through and that same thing keeps happening and how you know how's he going to get out of you know this because after all it's only a program anyway and it's a ones and zeros and it's uh you know and okay well that's that's kind of the way they are about preservation of the word of God it's someplace it's not a place and uh we'll never find it but we'll keep getting you know we'll keep evolving in it presumably getting closer until the next Generation Scholars come along and say oh no you guys were so off base we've got to do this differently now and uh then okay but if that is the way it is then inerrancy is a moot point so that the thought that the Bible could be without error will always be subjects to discussion uh it is always potentially debatable and not practically applicable so that's according to them so what matters uh um you know if you have verbal inspiration if you did not get verbal inerrancy through verbal preservation so if you didn't get verbal inerrancy through ver the verbal preservation then inerrancy means nothing it doesn't matter if it was if there are errors in it or not because you don't have it anyway and that is why he's in the state we then with regard to contemporary theologies including Evangelical ones but once God used men to start the process of translating the Bible and I'll say this is true for any language it's true for Spanish and what I know of Spanish is true for Romanian what I know of Romanian having been to Romania three times every time I go to preach in a Hispanic country I always do my homework in the Spanish Bible to make sure what it's saying versus you know what I'm saying and I think that you know once God took individuals and used them to start a process of Translating that translation they came up with became biblically authoritative scripture so wycliffe's First Complete translation of the Bible in English was authoritative for a hundred and thirty five years or whatever it was until until printing press was invented and they came out with another one and then and then it was biblical authoritative and then and that's okay and so then you uh you land uh in uh the King James and the pro and God stops the process well if he didn't who did I think he did nobody else did he just stopped and that has to be okay with us and when it restarted it was a totally different animal so so in the case of the English language that a translation was authoritative basically until the language changed so wycliffe's first translation was Middle English not Modern English and so it was kind of authoritative until the language changed and then something else came out which was authoritative and God started a Reformation translation in every language of Europe but in some of those countries there was a Catholic counter-reformation that stopped the process right there so what you have in any language is a translation that is more or less readable and accurate depending on what those people did with God's words what they did with the book what they did with believing it with what they did responding to it but in English in the English language it stopped changing from middle to Modern English and we got an authorized version and when a revised version so-called came out in 1881 that was a lie it was not a revised version because Wescott and Hort did not initially reveal that they were using a new and different text be you know Greek text to translate the New Testament from and and you know hadn't started adjusting the Hebrews so much then but of course we're in the midst of that now and so then their lies upon more Liars because that skeptical view of scripture led to new and differing theories of translation so in whatever it is that they believe about the doctrine of preservation it does lead them to capitulate on biblical Authority on actually having inerrant scripture The Words which are certain so really no inerrancy because well it was only in the original manuscript anyway and nobody has that today so nothing is free of error and nobody has an inerrant Bible with inherit words from an inerrant God who gave them and preserved them for you now that's not anything I would be proud about because then even if I talk to you about how much I love my Bible in the ultimate hipster irony I have no inerrant Bible there is no spoon it's like in The Matrix I can bend that because there is no spoon I can bend the words I can bend my Bible I can kind of bend it all over backwards to make it look like I want to look at because you know look like because I have no inerrant Bible there is no spoon I have no printed Bible with Biblical Authority uh now let me illustrate that irrefutable idea there was a girl one time went through her first Sunday school graduation and you know I don't know she's five or six years old or something like that and her first promotion Sunday in this church and the church gave a reception for their her class and that reception for her class I gave it gave each one of them a Bible and after she got her gift Bible one of the adults came up and said congratulations I'm so proud of you she said thank you very much he said is that the Bible they gave you she said yes it is he asked may I see your Bible she said yes you may see it but you cannot open it and he said why can't I open it she said because if you open it then God's going to get out okay I don't see why you didn't get that turn to Psalm 12. and this is amazing me because that little girl believed what she was taught by her Sunday school teachers and it is accurate because in a real sense God and the word of God are equated in the Bible in over 50 particulars uh I think brother Brett Bartlett came up one time with something like a hundred and eight and yet what the what the masses what the the silent M masses defend with one hand about the word made flesh they tear down with the other hand regarding biblical Authority so NT writes Nicholas Thomas Wright popular I don't know what he is semi-evangelical theologian uh defends the historical Jesus even to the Jesus seminar and all of those uh all of those agnostic type people and yet he has no certain words of truth and therefore he's death on dispensations and now at the same time he allows himself to say that the Bible is a five-act play so instead of seven dismissations he's got five acts but go figure did I say turn to Psalm 12. Psalm 12 verse 6 the words of the Lord are pure words as a as silver tried in a furnace of Earth purified seven times Thou shalt keep them O Lord Thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever so Psalm 12 verse 7 is the doctrine of biblical preservation um do not deny in Psalm 12 7 something that's just affirmed other places in scripture like Matthew 5 Psalm 119 Isaiah 40 46 55 First Peter 1 John chapter 10. turn to turn to Psalm 119. the concept purposely denied in Psalm 12 by some people so some people I mean a lot of people I know frankly as a matter of fact um deny that it's talking about the word of God at all in Psalm 12 and say it's only talking about the people of God not the word of God well okay um you know you can you can purposely deny it in Psalm 12 if you want but the preservation of God's words is proven in many other places um I mean after all shouldn't Jesus be the final Arbiter for us because Jesus says his words shall not pass away Matthew 24 35 Mark 13 31. Psalm 119 verse 161 David says princes have persecuted Me Without a Cause but my heart standeth in all thy word now that's that's the Key of David it's having a right heart attitude toward the word it is the right view of scripture having the right view of biblical Authority so Jesus views scripture and mine is exactly the same I cannot in good conscience teach a new generation of men and women a view that is inconsistent and incompatible with the Bible itself and one which leaves them without having an authoritative Bible those the masses the silent M masses cannot give book chapter verse bcv to their omo view original manuscript only View so in that respect they do the same thing the cult groups do they rely on uninspired logic and human reasoning to overthrow inspired truth because that is what makes sense to them oh how the Greeks still seek after wisdom so original manuscript only worship is a man-made Doctrine Psalm 22 verses 20 and 21 are not as uh uh excuse me Proverbs 22 verse 20 and 21 or not Psalm 119 verse 161 is not so the silent M masses cannot point to a Bible character in over 1600 years at the time from the writing of the Book of Job first one to be written to the writing of the Book of Revelation 1600 years they cannot point to one biblical character in that amount of time who took the view of scripture and the view of biblical Authority that they espouse except for the serpent in the garden in Genesis 3. where did David where did Paul where did Daniel where did the Gentiles who trusted Paul's translation of the Hebrew into Greek where did they believe that biblical Authority rested well the masses have no way to make their personal private man-made doctrine of inerrancy preservation and biblical Authority they have no way to make it Jive with what the scriptures actually say about themselves and how Biblical characters including Jesus actually viewed their readable copy of scripture uh now let me open a window in that word uh because in 1963 in Birmingham Alabama there was a man named by the name of Bull Connor and volcaner was the police commissioner for Birmingham and as the police commissioner he's the one who ordered police dogs and fire hoses to be turned on peaceful protest Marchers and innocent children in Birmingham but what you may not know is this that same Bull Connor was a Sunday school teacher and he taught Bible to his class on Sunday to justify his personal political and prejudicial position and then turn the German Shepherds loose on Monday so he was he was a Sunday school teacher but he was a member of the Ku Klux Klan and you and I know that the clan the Nation of Islam and the proud boys and Black Hebrew Israelites and whoever all use the Bible to bolster their belief in racial superiority I mean it doesn't matter that how many how many generations are we from Adam I mean it doesn't matter that we are all mutts um they they will try to use the Bible to bolster their View and sometimes when I reflect on that it's hard for me to believe that we are reading the same Bible and yet we are it is the same words they read it in a skewed way so long ago I recognized what William Shakespeare said in act 1 scene 3 of The Merchant of Venice he said the devil can cite scripture for his purpose and that's our fourth point for study no matter who the devil is if he's purpose to do something he can either find a scripture twist to scripture or invent a scripture to support whatever it is he wants to do now turn to Acts 17. all the biblical Scholars do exactly the same thing because they will not submit themselves and their minds and their opinions to the Bible and what it states they're going to make the Bible submit to what they believe it should state or what they think they see uh in in the evidence and all they are doing in that is following the lead of the alexandrian scribes of the scribes who started off in Alexandria Egypt so those scribes in Alexandria Egypt now Alexandria was the library of the world the library at Alexandria um their attempt was to have a copy of every book one copy of every book that existed in the library at Alexandria well then obviously they need a copy of the Old Testament and the different books in the Old Testament but the way that they viewed the Greek writings of Aristotle or Plato Socrates whoever they might be copying was was not with a strict literal accuracy it was you know that doesn't make sense I think I'll change it and so those scribes started with the Hebrew Old Testament and they changed it in their Greek version called the Septuagint uh so that it would make sense to them so there are every few verses there is a change that they make because they can't understand what God meant by what he was saying in the original the uh Hebrew that they had therefore they changed it as they put it into Greek so that it so that it you know made sense to a Greek seeking wisdom and they continued that process with the copies of the New Testament that made their way into Egypt from Antioch in the east acts 17 verse 10 says and the Brethren immediately sent Away Paul and Silas By Night unto Berea Who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews these Jews were more noble than those in thessalonica in that they received the word with all Readiness of mind and searched the Scriptures Daily whether those things were so so you'll not be safe unless you're biblical you will not be right unless you're biblical you will not be reaching others and really helping others and unless you're biblical you will you will uh your home will not run right unless you're biblical you'll not have Direction and your vocation until you get biblical that's why if we do not begin with the same assumptions we can look at the exact same evidence and the Bible comes a totally different conclusions just like the different saved versus lost scientists do regarding Evolution versus creation so you need to determine to be well read and well LED and well fed in the Bible because you either view the evidence skeptically or you view it believingly so let me sew up my summary uh this way uh fifth Point many of the masses to their credit preach the Bible authoritatively but to their demerit they do not preach an authoritative Bible this was Billy Graham I got saved under his ministry he preached the gospel he preached a pure gospel and I got saved when I heard him preach but you know before he was an evangelist he was actually president of a Bible College Northwestern Bible College in Minneapolis and as president of that college all of the skepticism was coming in to the school and you know he just take his Bible I mean he's from North Carolina you take his Bible go out in the woods talk to God say look you know I don't lay his Bible out on the stump say I don't know if you know I don't know what if what they're saying is correct all I know is I'm going to preach this book as your word and so he preached authoritatively and of course later on this ministry then you know everything's Living Bible and uh and and so he you know he he reads the Bible authoritatively but he didn't have an authoritative Bible and and so the masses boast in an inerrant Bible or they profess to love I have love for an inerrant Bible which cannot be printed one way or the other but the only way to preach the Bible authoritatively with Integrity is to teach an authoritative Bible at the same time you preach the Bible authoritatively otherwise if you believe you do not have and you cannot find an authoritative Bible you are a hypocrite to preach it authoritatively and that is a psychological disorder called dissociation and we need to let that sink in because the bottom line is that the only alternative position is that everything available has errors in it someplace okay but I can't walk with you that far my God's bigger than that because he Embraces our imperfection and that is shown by the triangulation of Bible principles historical evidence and available alternatives so let's proceed to think about how God measures time as we turn in the corner here to get into some dispensational stuff uh get a Luke 4 second Corinthians 6 Isaiah 61. okay Isaiah 61 Luke 4 2 Corinthians 6 one of the first places Jesus visited was his hometown of Nazareth and there were reasons why he didn't make his headquarters there but instead made it Capernaum but he visited Nazareth and he shows up once Sabbath in synagogue and and now being known as a preacher they invite him to preach what did he say I wonder Luke chapter 4 verse 16. and he came to Nazareth where he had been brought up and as his custom was he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up for to read and there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah and when he had opened the book he found the place where it was written the spirit of the Lord is upon me now notice the trinity in verse 18 it's just a side note the holy spirit is on the Son of God because the father is anointing him uh then he continues on in verse 18 because Heath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor uh he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted to preach Deliverance to the captives recovering sight to the blind said it limiting them in their bruise preach the acceptable year of the Lord and he closed the book and gave it again to the minister and sat down and the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him and he began to say unto them this day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears now Paul appropriates the acceptable year of the Lord in verse 19 for the church in this dispensation you see that in second Corinthians 6 verse 2. for God's saith I have heard thee in a Time accepted and in the day of salvation have I suckered thee behold now is the accepted time behold now is the day of salvation but you know the really instructive thing is not what Jesus said but where Jesus stopped uh it is the spot at which he sat down he rolled the scroll and stopped right in the middle of what Isaiah was saying because in Isaiah 61 verse 2 Isaiah goes on to to say to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and okay Jesus stopped at the comma and said this day that's fulfilled in your ears but he had stopped at the comma after the comet says and the day of Vengeance of our God so that acceptable year has stretched stretched now to 2000 years uh turn to First Peter chapter one the day of Vengeance however will stretch for seven years because the comma in the middle of Isaiah 61 verse 2 hides 2 000 years who to think it who'da known I mean everything up to verse 2 and the first comma the first Clause is all included being fulfilled in their ears that day and and up according to Paul's still being fulfilled in our day but not the stuff after the comma yet comma is hiding two thousand years now I'll refer to this as the law of interruption before completion which states that um uh you know when you can see the beginning and the end of a dispensation in the same verse but yet you know something happened and it's not quite all done and so you can see the beginning of the dispensation of Grace in Isaiah 61 verse 2 and then you can see the end of it at the comma and after that is is a whole nother different thing called the tribulation so you know God isn't going to complete verse 2 without an interruption First Peter 1 verse 11 searching water what manner of time so now Peter's talking about Isaiah and the other prophets who wrote this way I mean they wrote that this way and they wrote things that did not make sense to them so you can't go back to what the original author intended unless you're talking about God being the original author uh you can't go back to what the original hearers understood because they didn't understand it even the even the human author himself didn't understand it um and the standard operating procedure of Scholarship today is to change it so it'll make sense because they don't understand it Peter says Isaiah was searching what or what manner of time the spirit of Christ which was in them the prophets did signify when it testified beforehand the suffering is of Christ comma now two thousand years so far 2000-ish years I have been hidden behind that comma so the sufferings of Christ comma and the glory that should follow which has not followed yet so uh I think we gave you a handout I don't know if I put it on a slide but on your hands out I believe we charted for you 12 examples of how God measures time is that on the handout for you uh if not then I meant to um uh give you a chart and if it's not there I'll supplement it but turn to Genesis chapter 24 the acceptable year to get saved is right now that window's been open for 2000 years because of God's long-suffering God's loving kindness but the Bible also proclaims a day of vengeance which will last seven years and that is the boundary line between two major dispensations so Genesis 24 verse 27 says and he said blessed be the Lord God of my master Abraham who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth I being in the way the Lord led me to the house of my Master's Brethren and then Proverbs 16 Verse 6 says by Mercy and Truth iniquity is purged and by the fear of the Lord men depart from Evil so in the first testament the ingredients to forgiveness were mercy and Truth but in the New Testament the ingredients are Grace and Truth and that helps us understand a major difference between law and Grace Old Testament versus new even people who are not dispensationalists have to admit at least two dispensations because they all admit they must draw a line between the Old Testament and the new now the ones who blur that line the most are the Roman Catholic church because they import into their religion all of the Old Testament stuff of priests and and a sacrifice and so forth and so on but most of them are forced to agree that God dispense eternal life under the Covenant of Moses differently than he does under the New Covenant uh now can we put some distinctions on on uh you know on that for you uh let me let me chart this and this way the Old and New Testaments are covenants a covenant is an agreement that stipulates relationship a contract only stipulates payment contract is all about uh economics a covenant is about relationship so the Old Testament describes the old Covenant of law which was a conditional uh relationship based on human obedience so there were conditions it depended on the faithfulness of both parties in order for its blessings to take effect when Israel failed to keep her part of the Covenant they inherited the curses of that Covenant but then God promised them a new covenant where he was going to write his law on their hearts by means of his Spirit the New Testament is a record of how the church becomes the first inheritor of some of those blessings and we get to inherit it first as a way for God to make Israel jealous and get them to return to him by accepting Jesus as her Messiah we looked at you know some of those verses last session so we get the blessings of the New Covenant in an unconditional Way by totally free Grace it's not mercy and truth anymore it's Grace and Truth so to try and keep our covenant by legalism or to say that you can lose your salvation and lose something that was unconditional to begin with by Grace well that would bring you back under the old Covenant which has been voided that is one major boundary line in the Bible but not only are there two major dispensations based on the two covenants in the Bible there are actually seven dispensations and I think we put this on your charts for you so let's walk through a final set of items to make sure that we have not left you hanging with any strings that people can pull or buttons that they can push starting with the tribulation and Armageddon there's a period of time between the Rapture of the church off this planet and the return of Christ to this planet with his church and that seven years is the 70th week of Daniel's prophecy after 69 weeks 483 years the countdown stopped God's a hit the clock stopped it at the crucifixion of the Messiah timeout was called so that with the rejection of the king with the rejection of his kingdom the fullness of the Gentiles could come into the body of Christ and that was part of God's purpose for eternity all along but it was a hidden Mystery until it was revealed to Paul that process is complete with the Rapture of the church our sixth point for study is that the Rapture is waiting for nothing but everything going forward is waiting on the rapture now if you'll turn to Second Thessalonians 2 that was Paul's exact point to the Thessalonians I mean he already told them in the first epistle about the catching away of believers to meet the Lord in the air if they were alive and remained first Thessalonians 4. and then somebody wrote a lying letter in Paul's name and said you know all that stuff about the Rapture and about the resurrection that's just allegorical and what we're really waiting for is just the Judgment what we're waiting for is to see the Antichrist well nabe uh the second Thessalonians 2 verse 1. that would be we beseech you Brethren by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ by the second Advent and by our gathering Gathering Together unto him the Rapture of the church which precedes it and in the Bible over and over things are reversed I mean it's just what that's just why God does it so he can weed out people that don't want to believe what he says so this is one example of that I could give you others but verse two that ye be not soon shaken in mind or be troubled neither by Spirit nor by word nor by letter as from us as that the day of Christ which is the Judgment seat of Christ is at hand he says do not let them get away with bullying you into the judgment before you and dead Saints are raptured and we have come back with Jesus on white horses because and it's just simple English Bible exegesis the day of God is obvious from scripture that it is the white Throne Judgment of the unsaved dead and consistent with that exegesis the day of Christ is the Judgment seat of Christ for the church First Corinthians 5 5 Second Corinthians 1 14. so the day of Christ is for the Christian for the church a day of judgment Philippians 1 10. when you get glory and praise of God Philippians 1 11 and Philippians 2 16. so so it is the Judgment seat of Christ for church age Saints as you can see from simple English Bible like Jesus and those verses but back to Second Thessalonians 2 verse 3 let no man deceive you by any means for that day shall not come so that that day for the Christian is the Judgment seat of Christ that day shall not come except there come a falling away first and that man of sin be revealed the son of perdition and the other uh expressions inherit in that day Annes gets back to the multivalence of scripture because you've got about eight things that fit into that day for the Christian is suggested Christ for that for Israel it's a bunch of things for uh for the Earth for the Gentiles and the tribulation as much things so we don't get to the Judgment seat prior to us having a literal physical visible Resurrection and then several other things take place so before the Judgment Day comes for the Christian not only are we literally raptured if if alive and resurrect uh uh uh if a lie but we're also resurrected if dead but several other things also take place uh number one the prince who comes restores the Mosaic Covenant to the Jews with animal sacrifices Daniel 9 Jeremiah 11 Jeremiah 34. um I mean he restores a covenant Daniel 9 27 what Covenant is that well that's explicit from exegesis of the passages uh because Daniel is reading Jeremiah and that and it's talked about even in that passage number two then there comes a Hebrew Christian falling away from the faith which we can't have right now but but we'll be able to be to happen after after we're gone Hebrews six sick I mean what is falling away well it's defined by the actual English words themselves Hebrews 6 6 Luke 8 13. because Jews who do get saved in the tribulation are going to be able to turn away and embrace the law of Moses again which they forsook for Jesus they're going to be able to go back because the Antichrist for the first three and a half years going to reestablish the Covenant of Moses for them that becomes an option again just like it was for 40 years between Christ's crucifixion and the destruction of Jerusalem the destruction of the temple will once once Temple sacrifices whether they are at a sanctuary or at a tabernacle versus the temple once those sacrifices are reinstated then okay you've got 40 years on the front end seven on the end between uh when those are reinstated and when Christ comes back so so number three in the midst of that week after three and a half years he's revealed to be the Son of Perdition because he makes the animal sacrifice to stop Daniel 9 27 and human sacrifices will start so the church has to be out of here before any of that takes place because right now there's no Jew and no Gentile I mean in Christ we're just one body so the catching away in the resurrection are not metaphorical and the Rapture is always imminent search look and watch Romans 13 verses 11 and 12. what are we looking for well Titus 2 13 Philippians 3 20. second Corinthians 4 18. since the Rapture is presented by Paul as imminent meaning any moment any instant than what we're actually supposed to watch for is something quite different than the coming of the man of sin it's Acts 20 verses 28-31 and and what they were to Paul told them to look for those are the conditions we actually live in at this moment now that you know that day will not overtake you as a thief because you're what's being stolen we are what is being stolen so the countdown will restart after we're out of here and when that Covenant is sealed and it'll have seven years to go we are at T minus seven uh when the launch was aborted but it will restart right there and then the last three and a half years the Great Tribulation the time of Jacob's trouble are two parts of one consecutive week undivided unsplit why because simple English Bible likes Jesus Daniel 9 it is 7 plus 62 plus one your key word for the quiz is the word one and so I mean it's just simple English Bible exegesis yes there are two two halves to it but it's undivided it's just it's just one and the Antichrist is a Jewish Nation accepted false Messiah first because he makes a treaty guaranteeing peace and security between the restored Jewish nation which is already here and its Arab neighbors Isaiah 16 and as part of that deal the Jews are allowed access somewhere to the Temple mount on top or underneath to restore their system of sacrifices but eventually they've got to accept the Antichrist as their God not just as their King Daniel 11 36 so the Covenant is broken in the middle of that week of seven years all the sacrifices who stopped Daniel 9 27 the Antichrist forces idolatry on the Nations through the lying miracles of his false prophet Revelation 13 16 17. he sets his own image in the temple and demands worship of himself and that is actually an abominable act and it makes the temple desolate to any God-fearing Jew and that's why it's called the abomination of desolation because this is what Lucifer did and Satan is redoing and this is why it is an image and that's idolatry but no it's not just an image it's a person it's a person and the person's image so the person is saying look I am God so I am the second member of that Trinity I'm equal to God I'm equal to God I'm not overthrowing your God but I am equal to God and here is something more than just a a statue that Weeps I you know I almost Instagram this in the means memes I put out and I thought no I better not do that but so there was a uh there was a crucifix in I forget where might have been in South America someplace a crucifix and Water started dripping down and off the feet of Jesus on that crucifix and you know that they all thoughts a miracle they started collecting the water and even drinking it and uh then they found out that a toilet upstairs had started leaking and okay this won't be that this will be more than that this this would be like a living image and it is all of that and and um uh so it's the that is why it is the it's that's why it's an Abomination it's about it's the abomination of desolation believing Jews are LED Into the Wilderness Wilderness of Sela Petra in a Time called Jacob's trouble where the Antichrist seeks a final solution of Jewish extermination and that is one reason another reason the Rapture has to be before the tribulation because tribulations preeminently a time of let's say two things God's Wrath but also God's deception God's deception and God's Wrath and it's manifest from nature on down or on up how you might want to view it God removes us before he starts the air war and that way there's no possibility of Hostage taking or getting hit by Friendly Fire and besides you know he'd be hitting the body and bride of Christ and you never hit a lady and uh you know don't miss that because God does not even hit the Lady in Red the Scarlet Harlot of Revelation 17. he doesn't get his hands dirty and instead he uses the Ten Kings uh so church is just not going to see any of you know those those seven weeks of years that that last that last week of years uh seven years so even still the tribulation is going to be a time of preaching the gospel of the Kingdom by the hundred and forty four thousand Matthew 24 Revelation 7 and by the two witnesses Revelation 11 we a time of preaching the Everlasting gospel even by Angelic Messengers Revelation 14 turn to Hebrews chapter 4 when some Jews finally come to their senses as the Antichrist Reveals His true intentions God will send them Moses and Elijah to protect them in the wilderness because they are his Remnant Hosea 5. 5 14-6-3 and unless God intervenes at the battle of Armageddon everything would be lost so here are seven boundary markers or landmarks for the second coming it's at least seven years after the Rapture has certain signs that attended it's personal physical public powerful and prestigious um Christ will deal with his enemies uh overpower all opposition in the battle of Armageddon he'll then judge the surviving Nations and there will be a wedding ceremony for the church uh the kingdom of heaven will finally be established on planet Earth so so let's look at that for a second because next up is the marriage supper and the Millennium um Hebrews 4 did I say turn to Hebrews 4 Hebrews 4 verse 9. there remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God the Millennium is the Sabbath rest for God's people on this planet so out of 7 000 years of human history the last Millennium will be a thousand years of peace with security turn to Revelation chapter 20 after the purifying judgments that surround the personal return of Christ he will reign he will reign through his resurrected Apostles he will reign over restored Israel on planet Earth for a thousand years the seed of his power will be Jerusalem and the throne promised David the Saints including those saved in the dispensation of Grace will be associated with him in his glory as you can see in Acts 15 Isaiah 2 the whole chapter of Acts 11 Isaiah 11 Revelation 19 Revelation 20. our rewards at the Judgment seat of Christ are crowns precisely because we will rule and reign with him or at least some of us will who actually get crowns Revelation 20 verse 1 and I saw an angel come down from heaven having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand and he laid hold on the dragon that old servant which is the devil and Satan and bound him a thousand years and cast him into the bottomless pit and shut him up and set a seal upon him that he should deceive the Nations no more till the Thousand Years should be fulfilled so it's a timer it's like a a a a a timer that expires and after that he must be loose to little season okay so just uh clean up some loose ends and then get into dispensations um after that who will inhabit the Earth Well church AIDS Saints um we are the mighty Angels who return with Christ to judge Satan uh and to judge the Antichrist and to judge his followers at Armageddon Revelation 19 verses 11 to 21 converted which means restored Israel uh they're also spoken of as the remnant that shall be saved in Romans 9 Israel was given an unconditional Covenant of land which will be restored in the Millennium Jeremiah 30 as seen in Zechariah 10 and 13. number three the tribulation Remnant what I'll call the tribulation Remnant which would include a second calling out of gentiles in the tribulation as well as one going on now in the church age those Gentiles who survived the tribulation don't take the mark help out the Jews Matthew 25 verse 31-46 they enter as the sheep in the Sheep goats judgment those who escaped Antichrist endure to the end entered the Millennium right here Revelation 24 Daniel 11 41 42. number four those born in the millennium will inhabit it because people will reproduce Jeremiah 30 and Ezekiel 47 Isaiah 65 says there will be a return to the pre-flood aging process Zechariah 8 also talks about this the wolf will lay down with the lamb snakes will not bite children creation will be regenerated so now it's not just Paradise in a garden planted Eastward in Eden it is Paradise all over planet Earth making it a garden how will they worship well Adoration of Jesus will be the focus in fulfillment of God's Eternal purpose to glorify himself through his son by his body the church we gave you a number of verses on that I thank Isaiah 12 25 56 61 Jeremiah 33 Ezekiel 20 40 Zechariah 6 8 14. so there will be Temple worship a temple which may be as simple as the Tabernacle of David will be constructed which will be rebuilt just prior to after the tribulation begins and I you know I think Jews today as if you go with us uh November when we go to Israel we'll go to the Temple Mount Institute you'll be able to see everything they've already got done already constructed I'm going to say pretty much everything is just about in place although they don't make a big deal of that because of what it would cause in the Arab world therefore I think they could do a temple in pretty short order but certainly they could do the Tabernacle of David within two days uh but this this the millennial Temple the temple and the millennium will be what uh in what Ezekiel calls the holy portion Ezekiel 45 and 48 uh the holy portion of Israel's original land grant talked about in Psalm 105 which Solomon reigned over First Kings 4. There Will Be Blood sacrifices uh the priesthood will function like in the Old Testament to reinstitute required sacrifices and offerings we gave you a bunch of verses on that those sacrifices will be the nation's atonement to make reconciliation for the house of Israel Ezekiel 45 17. uh the Old Testament Saints did not look forward to the Cross to get saved uh uh but Millennial Saints will look back at what Christ did on the cross as a memorial to his finished work so they're commemorative they don't cover sin um except in a national sense they uh they uh the new moons the sabbaths uh will be observed as Paul discusses in Colossians 2 verses 16 17. so while some of the sacrifices are for National atonement the individual and the individual level offerings that they make are for acceptance not atonements Isaiah 56 verses 6 to 8. so this is talking about the observance of the law in the Millennium it has variations to it um the Old Testament they had to offer a lamb every day and night in the Millennium they do not in the Old Testament they had detailed things they had to do with dead bodies with purification those are not in effect anymore because they're not on a cursed Earth anymore the Earth's regenerated they're not in the wilderness they're not in the land with Canaanites they are the sole occupants of the land of Israel so offerings drink offerings peace offerings the Sabbath that's all still in effect they are sacrifices for the nation for atonement at having missed Christ the first time but there are also sacrifices for individuals to praise thank God and be accepted by having come to the Feast of Tabernacles that gets number three uh Isaiah 2 verses 2 and 3 say that the mountain or Kingdom of the Lord that all nations shall flow into it Zechariah 14 16 says all nations shall go up from year to year that means annually to worship the king and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles those who refuse to worship Jesus as Jehovah in that way by coming and bringing offerings to his house of prayer for all nations uh the temple if they don't come up and do that they will be plagued and they will suffer drought Nations which do not do that Zechariah 14 17 19 Isaiah 60 Psalm 68 so even in a land which is restored to Garden of Eden's status there will be those who still refuse to acknowledge God's goodness Isaiah 26 10. so we must ask what is government like because if that wasn't the case you wouldn't need government there is amazingly a lot to know about the Kingdom of Heaven and the millennial reign of Christ because so much of the writing in the Old Testament prophets is dedicated to that both the major and the Minor Prophets that's 17 books and a big bucket of divine ink they both write about it in prophetic preaching so there are 183 chapters in the Major Prophets there's 67 in the minor so 250 chapters out of 929 in the Old Testament are from those prophets and that doesn't even count the prophetic information you can glean from all the other books so the prophets lower the boom on the sins of the people and they promise judgment if they're breaking the Covenant but then at the end of nearly every book of the prophets they encourage the people to return to the Lord because one day it's going to be different one day that Covenant will be unconditional one day you'll have the spirit in your heart so their priests fail if they're judges you know their judges failed their kings failed and their prophets their true prophets they all killed well then there's still coming a day when God himself will make things right from a throne and it turns out he makes it Right For All Mankind because number one there's a king and Jesus will rule the entire planet from Jerusalem with a rod of iron Revelation 2 Isaiah 11 Psalm 110 and that is to say it will be peaceful Micah 4 verses 1 to 4 a peaceful monarchy and number two there are judges in Israel so they'll have the original 12 disciples of Jesus I'm going to say with Matthias replacing Judas Matthew 19 verses 27 to 30 and they will sit on 12th roads judging 12 tribes and have Authority for the Earth as it's divided among those 12 tribes and number three there are rulers for the cities of the world in Luke 19 11-27 Jesus relates very interesting parable about a nobleman who pictures Jesus who goes to a far country which pictures his Ascension back to heaven to inherit a kingdom from God as father and then he returns and in his place when he is gone he leaves ten servants 10 in Bible numerology is a number of the Gentiles they are given 10 pounds a pound is an English measure of money the untranslated Greek says they were given Minas a Greek measure of money which is what all the modern versions say they were given which is not readable at all because none of us use Minas or even know what that means um but okay uh they were given pounds English measure they were not given talents like in the Book of Matthew that's a Jewish measure they are told to occupy till he comes back and when he gets back they are judged for their stewardship of how much they gained on the talents he gave each one of them after the Rapture church is going to be judged at the Judgment seat of Christ and made ready as a bride for her wedding by being rewarded with crowns to rule and reign with Christ our right to rule is based on our willingness to suffer and remain faithful and and fulfill his purpose for eternity starting in this life with the talents Jesus has given each of us Romans 8 2 Timothy 2 Second Corinthians 1 and since crowns symbolize rulership we may be large and in charge we are the Justice League so in the final analysis there are seven results of this Millennial government we've listed for you those for you on your handout so during the Millennium changes will take place in government Zechariah 8 9 and in the Earth or in nature and uh the curse will be removed from the ground what are the changes in nature well there are seven changes I'll list not in human nature but in the natural realm because the Earth will be regenerated also and once Humanity gets saved Titus 3 5 saved people will then be put on a saved Planet Matthew 19 28 Romans 8 22. today our planet still feels the effects of a curse that was pronounced in Genesis 3 and while the Earth is born again there will be seven results and we've listed them for you on your handout a much more could be said like the lion eating grass like a lamb and so they're the way uh what they eat and how they eat is changed uh child playing with a previously poisonous Viper and what we really need to know is how how do people get saved how are people saved this is our seventh point for study today every heresy comes I say every that may be an overstatement but every heresy regarding soteriology or the doctrine of salvation comes from taking verses which apply to the tribulation to the Millennium or to Jesus Earthly Ministry in Israel and reading them back into our dispensation the dispensation of Grace people who misapply them in that way present a false Plan of Salvation so we need to help people rightly divide the word of Truth salvation in every dispensation is by God's grace Noah like the believer today was saved by grace Genesis 6 8 through faith Hebrews 11 7 but he didn't know anything about a quickening spirit First Corinthians 15 45. so before the law a person was saved by grace through faith if his work showed he had faith under the Mosaic law a person was saved by grace through faith and works but if you were short on either one of those well you you could die in your sins and go to hell um okay because Paul you know because habakkuk says we're you know a person is saved by his faith uh Paul says we're you know Say by justified by faith uh but it you know it's kind of on on them in Mosaic situation we now arrive at Calvary where planes been set up by the householder Ephesians 2 19 to dispense eternal life by grace through faith alone as the Ephesians 2 verses 8 9 completely apart from works of any kind so it is Philip who first applies Calvary the blood of Calvary to the sins of an individual Isaiah 53 uh thereby making the Ethiopian eunuch probably the first man in the New Testament who gets saved like every Christian today and like every Christian has been saved since A.D 70 when the temple was destroyed uh he didn't have to get baptized before he got saved he doesn't speak in tongues either before or after he gets saved so he's not baptized for the remission of sins in order to get the Holy Ghost he doesn't have to have hands laid on him like the Samaritan conference do and the very next chapter of the book of Acts after that undoubtedly the first man to die under the New Testament was the dying Thief whose death followed it went it came after the death of the testator who was Jesus probably by less than three hours as you know the Roman soldiers came and broke their legs so they couldn't so they got asphyxiated uh Christ said to him today uh shalt thou be with me in Paradise so the dying Thief dies under the New Testament he's saved by grace through faith without works and he's saved by merely calling on the name of the Lord Romans 10 13. unlike the Ethiopian eunuch though he does not get into the third heaven at the moment of his death he winds up in Paradise which is in Abraham which Abraham's bosom which was then still in the lower parts of the earth until after Christ was raised Ephesians 4 verses 8 to 12. but but yet he was still saved by grace all through Christ's Ministry he warned Israel about a gentile application of his Testament Matthew 8 11 12 10 Luke 4 23 to 27. any any Pharisee who checked Jesus genealogy in in Matthew 1 would find four Gentile women sitting right there pretty as you please still got their tattoos and and the commission given in Matthew 28 after the resurrection shows that there's more in Isaiah 53 than the atonement for sins of the nation of Israel and Paul explains that later on in Romans 3 Romans 4 Romans 5. but in the millennium the work of faith is changed once again our work of faith is Romans 10 verse 9 10 13. we call on the name of the Lord It's you know it's John 3 16. it's believe believe on Jesus he gives you everlasting life but uh in the Millennium the nations are required to worship annually at the temple or else they suffer plague and death part of that worship is blood sacrifices offered as a memorial to Christ's finished work today some denominations misuse things intended for the Millennium as a system of self-righteous good works and then they trust in that instead of Simply trusting Jesus for eternal life and they get their system out of what is called The Sermon on the Mount or many other places like that for us The Sermon on the Mount is a subscription character and it's a great character-based discipleship but in its original context and in its future setting in the Millennium it is a Code of Ethics that has to be kept that's why it's so strict on some of that stuff it's like okay if you even look on a woman a lust you've committed adultery in your heart well uh you know when you are on an earth uh that the curse of sin has been removed and Satan has been bound in the pit and you have a body that's going to live a thousand years and you've got all this and that well okay it's kind of strict like that turn to James chapter two The Sermon on the Mount becomes the manifesto for Christ's Kingdom so much so that uh if you call another person a few fool you are in danger of going to hell if you are angry with your brother without a cause you'll be dragged before the council uh that's that's the reason we see the Book of James which was written to the 12 tribes of Israel uh talk so much about faith that works or else it's dead because once God gives us a perfect Paradise on a perfect cursed Planet plus the devil being bound in the pit then James 2 14 what does it profit my brethren though a man say he have faith in the midst of this type of environment like the Millennium and have not works can Faith save him as I turn to Zechariah 14. the assumed rhetorical answer is no way Jose imposible if if your faith doesn't work further than that in in that context but now watch how we get it twisted in the church age some denominations or religious leaders preach that liturgical type of faith of of works-based faith uh as being for us today so they have priests they have ceremonies they have sacraments all contrary to Ephesians 2 verse Satan and nine especially the Clause that says not of works um but what they do take out well it's it's a clear application to the millennial dispensation so how will that dispensation end Zechariah 14 verse 9 and the Lord shall be king over all the Earth in that day shall there be one Lord and his name one so so multivalence of scripture that day even even refers to this and and I know we ain't looking for that before the Rapture but Revelation 20 uh turn to Revelation 20 Jesus prays from the cross father forgive them for they know what not what they do so so day of the Lord that day day of the Lord starts with the Rapture runs all the way through for us that day is is the Judgment seat of Christ after the Rapture but you know that day includes the millennium the Practical effect of Jesus prayer from the cross father forgive them for they know not what they do is basically saying look father be willing to forgive them once they realize what they've done but at any rate it is as if the sun had to ask the father to grant them forgiveness so that the world would not be destroyed at the moment they crucified him it's almost as if he were saying father I know that we destroyed all but one family of mankind with a flood of water and before that we destroyed the Earth it then was and I know a day will come when not only the Earth but the heavens themselves will be destroyed not with water but with fire next time father don't let this be that day and so at the end of the Millennium we come to that moment which is that day that day Revelation 20 verse 7 and when the thousand years were expired Satan shall be loosed out of his prison and shall go out to deceive the Nations which are in the four quarters of the earth Gog and Magog to gather them together to battle the number of whom is as the sand of the sea and they went up on the breath of the Earth encompassed the camp of the Saints about in The Beloved City and fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them and the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beasts and the false prophet are and shall be tormented day and night forever okay we're going to get into this in dispensations but each dispensation has leading steward who has a failure okay Jesus is kind of on the throne in the Millennium but is this his failure well I would say if you know I do my English simple English Bible exegesis in at the end of verse 8 last Clause of verse 8. then the number of whom speaking of the rebels is as the sand of the sea so it's not the dust of the earth that was all of Abraham's descendants Ishmael and Isaac um and it's and it's not the stars of Heaven it's we're that but it's looks like the failure is on the part of the Sands of the sea so whatever the Jews were supposed to do to rule over the Nations um they don't quite get done Satan being released from his chains rallies those who are tired of working worshiping Jesus they Rebel in these battles of Gog and Magog through and threaten the holy city and at that time God will destroy them all with fire from heaven Satan's finally cast in a lake of fire in Brimstone which was made for him and his angels to be tormented day and night forever Psalm 72 Isaiah 26 Ezekiel 38 so that at the end of seven dispensations brings us to the final frontier the Bible is a circle it is an infinite book so the Book of Revelation leads us right back to the Book of Genesis in Genesis there was a tree of life it returns in Revelation 22. and you know Abel's lamb was slain as a sacrifice in Genesis and the lamb is seen as the slain sacrifice in Genesis 20 in Revelation 21. in Genesis it is Paradise Lost and Revelation is Paradise restored in Genesis 1 1 we read in the beginning God created the Heavenly Earth and in Revelation 21 1 we read I saw a new Heaven and a new Earth God starts with man in Genesis 1 he ends with man in revelation 22 the Bible is a loop so infinite in scope no finite mind can totally comprehend the completeness of it so let's start at the end to see the new beginning and then we'll be done Revelation 20 verse 14. and death and hell were cast in the Lake of Fire this is the second death and whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into into the Lake of Fire and I saw a new Heaven and next chapter verse 1. I saw new Heaven and new earth for the first Heaven and the Earth First Earth were passed away and there was no more sea and I John saw the holy city New Jerusalem coming down from God out of Heaven prepared as a bride adorned for a husband and their three distinct Dwelling Places for Humanity and angels in eternity first for the church there's the New Jerusalem said to be the mother of every born-again believer in the church age Galatians 4 26 there are seven aspects to it we can describe it's a cube you know uh basically uh 1500 Miles Square now the moon's diameter is about 2100 miles so it could kind of fit inside the moon but it's a city whose length breadth and height are 1500 miles that would stretch from Boston to Miami and Miami to Denver and Denver back to New York so if everybody currently on the planet lived in the same density as Manhattan the entire global population of 8 billion ish or whatever it is now could fit in New Zealand New Zealand is 103 000 square miles so insignificant that many of your Maps forget to even put it on next to Australia uh the New Jerusalem is two and a quarter million square miles per side as cubes got six sides and that's 22 times New Zealand uh uh uh you know eight uh each side and then times those six sides that's 13.5 million square miles um so at the current density of Manhattan you could fit 20 worlds of 8 billion each now if we lived as densely as they do in Manila uh we could all fit in Tunisia and that's only 63 000 square miles so uh this New Jerusalem as a wall that is uh either 216 or 264 feet high depending on whether it's the 18 inch cubic or the Cubit or the 22 inch one that means that you can have five million Apartments every cubic mile yielding 41 trillion rooms per side at 15 feet square 225 square feet a room and that means there are more than 60 rooms for every saved person who dies between Pentecost and second coming of Christ if you assume an average 100 million Christians die each year so when we all get to heaven you will move into a 10 room house of at least 1500 square feet with solid gold flooring its main building material is Jasper which is basically clear carbon carbon being the chief ingredient of US carbon-based units uh each of the four sides has three gates each Gates represents one of the tribes of Israel at the gates of 12 angels uh each gate is made of one big pearl and the gate shall not be shut At All by day streets to the city are pure gold as it were you know we have yellow gold and we have white gold this is gold so pure it is cure it is clear gold there's a river called the water life because of its life-giving properties all Earthly streams will have their Source at the Throne of God revelation 22 1 lining the streets and the river are Tree of Life trees now turn to Revelation 21 those trees are not shade trees but they're fruit trees and they bear 12 kinds of fruit a different kind each month the fruit is for the Overcomers the tribulation the Millennium Revelation 2 7. the leaves of the trees are for the healing of the Nations who occupy new Earth to preserve them in health so they will be just like Adam would have been if he had eaten the Tree of Life In the Garden of Eden and whoever heard of an Earthly City without some place of worship but the wonderful thing about the New Jerusalem is it needs no Temple you don't need a temple when the object of worship is present for the Lord God Almighty and the lamb or the Temple of it in fact the whole city itself is a temple Revelation 21 3 and I heard a great voice out of Heaven saying behold the Tabernacle of God is with men and he will dwell with them and they shall be his people and God himself shall dwell with them and be their God so we get the New Jerusalem for the Jews is the new Earth so everything in the Bible is aimed at Jew Gentile or Christian in other words the church in eternity three new things new heaven new Earth New Jerusalem the bride of Christ the body of Christ we are in the New Jerusalem uh the new Earth is going to be the inheritance of Israel as she rules over the Nations again Isaiah 66 22 24 and the Earth will be a garden Paradise like Eden there's no sun or moon for the new Earth because the new I'm going to say that the new Earth orbits the New Jerusalem because the New Jerusalem has greater mass than the new Earth and uses the New Jerusalem as its Moon and as its son and that way the Jews ruling over the Gentiles on the new Earth have a new moon and it can go from one Sabbath to another Isaiah 66 23 now turn to Isaiah 45 there will be 12 Nations on the new Earth so for the Gentiles though I'm gonna I'm gonna spin it this way the new Heavens Isaiah 45 18 for thus saith the Lord that created the heavens God himself that formed the Earth and made it you have established it he created not in vain he formed it to be inhabited I am the lord and there is none else God created the heavens to be inhabited thus Christ's government and peace will have no end Isaiah 9 7 so we as the sons of God will facilitate Jew and Gentile colonizing outer space as the universe expands the heavens expand yeah throughout eternity right now it is in a fallen state where it eventually collapses second Peter 3. verses 10 and 12 but the new Heavens does not do that second Peter 3 13. so the kingdom is going to Branch out with branches named after the sons of Jacob and go to the solar system and galaxies infinitely and go out through the Stars forever Hebrews 11 verses 14 to 16 it will need us to help accomplish that finally and then we'll raise up out of here for the Damned well in in the Bible the word hell's used to describe a place where Soul go souls go right after death Luke 16. uh sheol which is the Hebrew word in Hades which is the Greek word were both neutral terms which is why the King James transfers made sure to translate instead of just transliterate them because prior to the crucifixion in Christ taking captivity captive and bringing it up to Third Heaven There was both a suffering side and a uh and a paradise side and that Story of Lazarus and the rich man in Luke 16 shows us how old testament Saints and other parts of the family of God waited in a section of the Unseen World we call Abraham's bosom until Christ had paid for their sins now turn to First Corinthians 15. last last passage First Corinthians 15. in Revelation 20 verse 13 14 we say you see how everyone who dies and goes to hell remains there until the day of judgment when God kind of then asks them well why should I let you into my heaven to which they reply I did good deeds I went to church I didn't cheat on my taxes they say that one uh you know with fingers crossed knocking on wood um I was as good as some and better than others I mean I was born in America I ate with a fork and spoon I never murdered anybody and I went through hell on my job and with my spouse and my kid with my kids unfortunately those answers will not be acceptable and they and the hell they have been suffering will be cast into the Lake of Fire because their name was not found written in the Lamb's Book of Life Revelation 21 27. so the lake of fires also the final judgment for Satan the Antichrist is false prophet as you see in Revelation 19 and 20 they will be tormented day and night forever and ever First Corinthians 15 verse 24 says then come at the end when Christ shall have delivered up the kingdom to God even the father when he shall have put down all rule in all authority and power for he must reign till he hath put all enemies under his feet okay our time is up thank you for yours let's have a word of Prayer and uh trust the Lord for what we can look at next uh so actually we get a week off for Easter so it'll be two weeks we'll get back together father we thank you Lord for your word today uh what what amazing things for us to consider and to be able to consider here in this 12th week and not have to
