Varashta Sorceress: Level 1 to Maps in 3:35 | Path of Exile 2

So, I just went from level one to maps in world record time on a minion build. So, we're playing Garashta. I went into this run just trying to do a regular run pretty much um fully explaining everything, but then I got halfway through and realized that this was going to be a world record run if I uh didn't mess anything up. So, I hope you guys enjoy the run. The build guide is in the description. We will start using ember fuselad as well. And then around level 19, we'll ascend and swap to Vashta. >> And then from there, we're just going to be using Verasha skills. And that's basically it. So for the Miller, I try to bring him into the corner and then use spark >> cuz if he's in the corner, the sparks are going to like bounce off and you'll get double hits with the with the spark. But then like, you know, he moves out of the corner. So I just go back to going going back to firebolt. going to pick up his loot. >> Um, and so we need to make sure we have the reix. >> There's no point in checking vendors at this point because we don't have enough money anyway. Like even if there was something in there, we wouldn't be able to afford it. First gem, we're going to take Frost Bomb. Next gem, we're taking Contagion. >> So I am going to do the league mechanic. because it gives us a transmute. So potentially we could get like some spell damage on our weapon and maybe some other loot as well. I don't really care about white gear. I'm going to equip the gloves for armor. Um and in a second I'm going to transmute my weapon. I'm not transmuting my weapon yet in case we find a magic chest on the way and get a weapon. Anyways, we didn't. So, we'll just go ahead and transmute it now. 67% spell damage. It's pretty sweet. Log in. I'm going to move these items onto the right side of my inventory just so like my inventory is a bit managed here. Just resetting at checkpoint so these mobs don't come come over and [ __ ] me up. And I'm just going to cast frost bomb before I leave. And then we're just using firebolt. And I'm going to try and lead her into the hut so that my sparks bounce off the wall and we can just get insane amounts of damage. Just like that. And then we're going to go ahead and take unleash for firebolt. We're going to move it over to spark. and move my flasks over to like near. So if I move my flask here, it's easier to swap it. I just go like that, right? If they're over here, then you have to like, you know, the mouse movement is further away. So I just move them over there. Um, and to be honest, these items aren't going to sell for much. So I'm just going to go ahead and drop them on the ground. cuz hybrid body armors are some of the most valuable magic items to sell to the vendor, but like a pure armor body armor or like gloves and helmets and stuff, they don't sell for very much. >> I'm just running past basically every mob here. Um, because we're using spark, I'm going to go ahead and ignore the first obelisk because if you have an obelisk in a position like that, you can do that one last and that'll give you a really nice arena for spark cuz your sparks will like bounce off of the walls and [ __ ] I'm running the wrong way. Definitely going to do the league mechanic. This will give us a level two skill gem which we can use on spark as well. >> Like another 30 or so% more damage. And I think it gives it an extra projectile as well. So pretty big. The dead rise in every um it wouldn't hurt to hit level four before we do the rescing cuz then we can swap our flasks over. Go ahead and do that quickly. But after this one, I'm going to checkpoint back to the first obelisk, and we'll be able to fight Rusking in that tiny little corner over here. And all our sharks are just going to be shotguning him for stupid amounts of damage. And we can literally kill them in like 20 seconds or something. >> And ID any rare items. >> Checking for minion skills and spell skills, but we didn't find anything. Try to make sure all that like I haven't missed anything. Might go ahead and just buy that so that I can do that. >> Yeah. So I bought that because I know that the damage gain as is a prefix and spell skills is a suffix. So, if I ored it, there was the chance that I get spell skills, and we did. Um, which is exactly what I wanted. >> And the other reason I bought it as well is because it gives me level three shards. Like, even if I didn't hit spell skills there, it still would have been very helpful for my single target cuz we're using Spark at the moment. We don't really have any single target skill. Like level one firebolt is pretty bad. But even if you just buy like a level three shards or whatever, even if there's no stats on it, it's still going to be an upgrade. So, we're looking for the rotten druid, but because I'm level five, when we find him, I'm just going to grab the checkpoint and come back later. So, we found the wrong droid. I'm going to try and run along the side so I can avoid him. And then we can just checkpoint back to him when we hit level six. This isn't something I usually do, but because I have such a good staff waiting for me at level six, uh, that's what I'm going to do this time. So, we're probably going to be going into like the cemetery, getting level six there, and then coming back. or this in case we get plus minions. We didn't. >> So, the league mechanic here, we get a regal orb, which isn't too important on this build. But it doesn't hurt. So, uh, actually, because I just got a support gem drop, I'm actually just going to ignore the druid cuz I just got an extra support gem. I don't even have to do him. Going to go ahead and grab Zenith. See, if I didn't get that support gem drop, I would go back and do the druid, but we got lucky. So, I'm just going to ignore him. Level six. We're going to go ahead and take essence drain. We don't need spark anymore. Unleash on contagion and put zenith on ED. Go ahead and swap over my weapon. Um, this one we can go ahead and take all the storms. It's not going to do much at the moment, but later on it will click on these coffins. They usually drop, you know, something. We just got 42 gold from that. So, generally in this zone, I check one side first and then check the other side. The support gem is usually like 50%ish chance to be at the entrance. It didn't happen this time, but usually it is. And when I get the support in here, I'm going to go and take chain, I believe. Red chest always good. Always guarantee a rear item pretty much. It looks like the boss is going to be along here somewhere. Yeah, there's the boss. We're going to probably have to go back for the support gym. going ahead and kill this. This is going to give us a amulet. Just a guaranteed amulet. My weapon is so good. I'm not even going to bother iding that. Current weapon is just too good. So now I'm just looking for the support gym and as soon as I find it and go back and kill the boss. And here it is. So I'm going to move these over to freezing shards because freezing shards is all of our single tower damage right now. Um, I might identify that rear staff when I have a wisdom. Okay, so for gyms, >> for gyms, >> we kind of don't really need anything right now. We're going to go ahead and take chain for ED and swap our gems back after the fight. >> I have way too many items. I'm just going to leave that on the ground and we're just going to go straight into the maleum. So, I already know exactly what layout I'm in. We're in a corner layout because the entrance is in the corner, which basically means we just need to get to the opposite side of the zone. If we're lucky here, it'll connect. There we go. I'm going to go ahead and swap my support rooms back again. These items aren't worth much. I'm going to try and create a little bit of space >> in my inventory in case he drops something good. I should be using over storms as well. Gives us a chance to shock him, albeit a low chance. I'm going to go here. We're going to keep that on cuz uh >> we're fighting another boss right now anyway. respawning at checkpoint so we get him to spawn instantly. I need to like ID all of these items before I've ended them. and we're going to go back to town. I'm already looking at like what items I'm going to ID. I'm going to ID these four. >> Those five actually. So, I need >> a bunch of ID scrolls. What do you think? >> ID all of these. >> Uh, none of them were really any good. So, I'm just going to go ahead and vendor all of them. There was a scepter in here with minion damage. It doesn't have minion skills, but it's possible we or it unfortunately we didn't. I do actually need to buy talisman as well. I forgot that. Go back and grab that. And now we can start using pounce. So usually you wouldn't be able to use pounce straight away, but because I have some strength on my gear somewhere on the talisman means I can just already use pounce. And basically we're just using that for movement. Movement ability. Doesn't like give us any damage or anything just yet. going to go and grab Wraith. Should be around here somewhere. There it is. So, because that didn't hit minion skills, um it's almost fender trash, but if we get crazy unlucky and don't get minion skills by the time we ascend, I probably will have to use that. Here we can grab another support gem. And this is going to be helpful because we're going to need to save this for later on. >> We're going to need a couple of support gems when we swap over to Vashta. So, we're going to be saving that. I got this body armor. It's like doesn't really do anything. So, I'm just going to vendor it. It's just kind of how it goes in this game. >> You don't really get useful uniques. Why do speedrunners wear no chest? Uh because it gives you a movement speed penalty. So, I'm kind of just alternating between my skills using freezing shards, and we can exposure him while he is running to the last part of the arena. So, I'm just going to place another frost bomb on the way, and his exposure will keep ticking up. Uh, and we're going to go straight into Freyorn now. >> Change that to werewolf form. Because wearable form gives me more movement speed. Need to remember to swap my gyms back after the boss. And we're basically just looking for the boss arena and the rituals. Your hitbox when you're a wolf, I'm pretty sure actually increases in size compared to when you're a human. So, if you're ever in a tight space, don't be a wolf cuz your hitbox is literally bigger. I got the third ritual over there, which means we just need to find the boss now. I'm going to take strength there because usually you wouldn't have enough strength for pounce. So that first attribute node we take strength just so we can use bounce and it'll also help us get the attributes for thunderstorm later on. And here we have the boss. I'm going to respawn at checkpoint. And that's going to lower the number of monsters that spawn from this ritual when we trigger it. Usually, you would have a lot of monsters coming out of this, but it should not be more than a few monsters now that we respawned. >> So, we get the boss spawns basically instantly. You are >> the wild power is this guy is chaos resistant. So it's very nice that we have freezing shards instead of something like chaos bolter. And we're going to go ahead and take Arctic armor. Doesn't do much, but our alternatives aren't really any better. >> And pick up a Sapphire Charm here as well. >> And we got our plus one minion skills on what just happened. Okay, I'll take that. We got both. Okay, we got we got everything. We're done. We win. No need to worry anymore. And go ahead and this. Hoping for ally damage. Got mana. Kind of useless. I jump over this with pounce. >> You don't take revenous form anymore. Uh yeah, I kind of changed my mind about Revenous Swarm. I don't know. They're both pretty bad, so it's kind of just like pick your poison. Revenous form, Octagama. Doesn't really matter what you take. They both do nothing. Yeah, by the time we're at Geonor, we're going to be using Ember Fuselad anyway, so we don't have to worry about like Geonor's cold res or anything. Why not use skeletal archer instead of arctic armor? Well, we have no minion nodes at the moment. So, skeletal sniper. Um, I don't think we even have enough spirit for that anyway. But even if we could use it, it wouldn't really do anything cuz we don't have any minion damage nodes >> yet. So ideally we hit like 11 and a half maybe even a little bit higher before mana ramparts. Okay, now we have like a nice focus we could use when we swap over to minions. Going to drop that on the ground. It's kind of like cluttering my inventory a little bit. We're going to level up ED just to make sure we have enough damage for clearing mobs in the next few zones. I don't think we have any use for that level three skill gem. Just going to go ahead and drop it on the ground. Making sure my inventory is as empty as possible. We can do this league mechanic for an artific. FS orb doesn't really do a whole lot for us, but uh maybe we can like use it as a defensive rune or something. Because I have so many regals, uh and I don't really have much use for regals, I'm just going to go ahead and regal this. I'm going to pull the liver. We're going to dodge roll out. We're going to pick up all these items. And then we're going to go back up and place a portal. We're going to talk to the NPC. And then we're going to go back to town. And down. We're going to get our passive points. >> We're going to ID any items that need IDing >> and vendor them. >> We need to buy a greater life flask. And may as well pick up a great amount of flask while we're at it. and then grab a level five gem from that person and then remembering to swap my gym spec. So, ideally, we're hitting like level 13 um before ogre mana. And yeah, I know I sold the good focus there. I don't really care about the focus to be honest. I'd rather just get it out of my inventory, get out of the way. It was an option, but uh I decided against it. We're just going to try and pick up like a arm energy shield shield in act two cuz it gives us block anyway which is probably going to be better. Doing this for a level five skill gym. So we need level five skill gym for Imuselad and we need a level five skill gym for thunderstorm. We're going to be using thunderstorm for our Vasha setup. So, we don't actually need it for a while. And I am going to be getting another level five gem in act two. So, we essentially have a level five gem spear now. So, I'm just going to go ahead and uh upgrade essentra when I hit level 14. And we're level 13. Entering the mana, which is exactly what we want. >> If we find the league mechanic in here, it's going to be a or of alchemy, which is obviously pretty nice. So, I'm going to be trying to look out for that. I keep forgetting to swap my flasks, which is pretty bad. Um, I have to swap my flasks at the next checkpoint cuz this is a pretty rippy zone. I think there's a checkpoint at the top here. So, I'm going to do this now. Going to grab our alchemy. I'm going to swap those over again. >> I just spam click this cuz sometimes it bugs out and uh he doesn't start. So, I just spam click it. That attack can one-shot you if you don't have uh much life or res. So, I'm going to be dodging that. pick up that scepter just in case it has plus one with damage, but it didn't. Now, at this point, we have like a million support gems. Um, so I'm just going to go ahead and add duration to pounce, which isn't going to help us yet, but it will be useful later. I need to swap my gyms back again. So, we're really trying to hit level 14 exactly uh by the time we hit the boss. If we're underleveled, we have to farm up because at level 14, you get a fuselad, which is like one of the strongest bossing skills in the entire game. But at the same time, we also don't want to be too overleveled because that would mean uh we're being inefficient. Basically, kill the two mini monsters. It looks like we're going to be right around exactly 14 by the time we get to him. So, should be good. I'm going to go ahead and pop that in there just to get it out of the way. All right. And uh Goro should be here. Just need to kill like one more monster. There we go. level 14. So, we're going to grab ember fuselad. We're going to get rid of freezing shards. We're not using freezing shards anymore. We're going to take control destruction and we're going to move zenith over to ember fuselad. Uh, and that that's basically our whole setup for this boss. And he's going to get completely deleted just from that. move this over here just so it's easier to swap. I can just do this. >> As you can see, it only takes not even two combos to phase him. >> And we're just going to dodge his attacks while we wait. or these boots. Hopefully for like rezipul, how dare you I can't do that. >> And then we go go back to town. I'm going to clean up our inventory real quick. Check vendors for any good items. No good items. And we're just going to go straight into act two. How does zenith work with ember fuselad? Does it look at your mana mana when you release them or when the or was created? I have no idea. >> I would guess it's when you release. That would be my guess, but I could definitely be wrong. So, we're ideally looking for the raided camp in here cuz we are going to need two tier two support gems for our swap. The first one is bidding one for our ascendency skill. The second one is Mark of death, mark for death or whatever it's called for pounce which is going to give us armor break which is huge. Going to do the leak mechanic here cuz this is a exalted orb. Probably going to use this exalted orb on my staff. We don't have much use for exalted orbs on our scepter. And so when we get to this boss, we are going to kill these hyenas. And then we're just going to jump up with pounce and swap back zenith into embusada and he's basically just going to die from that. So >> just going to pick up our loot and get out of here. So this level five skill gem we are going to use on thunderstorm. >> So first we're going to talk that NPC to get her moving. Level up ED and take thunderstorm. >> We're just going to go straight into the Halani gates. >> ID any rear vendor everything. We are going to need to save some gold for our swap. >> I don't know exactly how much gold it is, but I think it's like a few thousand, maybe even 5,000. Now, go ahead and equip thunderstorm, but we're not actually going to use it until we do the swap. From what I can see this night, we're going to go ahead and take these first two nodes here. We're not going to take the last one, though, cuz it doesn't actually do anything until we ascend. But those first two nodes just give us like a tiny little bit of extra spell damage for free. So go back and pick up this grand life flask. Life flask like the most important defensive item in the entire campaign. So, we're ideally hitting like level 16 by the time we leave this area. It's not too important, but uh okay, 16 leaving, we'll basically be fine levels. and basically just pick up every armor scraper I find. Blit stones obviously aren't going to do anything, so not too worried about those. We could do that for a level five spirit gem, but I don't really care about a level five spirit gem. So, I'm just going to go ahead and ignore it. Now that we're level 16, we can upgrade our flask. But I'm going to wait for the next checkpoint. All right, here we go. I'm just going to completely ignore that. That would be a tier 2 support gym. Um, but I'm not too worried about it. We already have one and we can get another one in the method on Badlands. So, Can you make another support for EDC/ fuselite to stop swapping or do you need the points? Uh, if you have an extra spear support gym, you can do that obviously, but me currently in my situation, I cannot cuz I I need this for magnified area. I need this for concentrated area and I need the tier two for bidding one. Go ahead and talk to this NPC. Slap our gem back. And we're just waiting for the loot. Going to ID all of our items at the hooded one. Didn't really get anything good. Going to go ahead and vendor these. Check for any good items. Yo, I'm Dundy. Thank you for the prime. Appreciate it. So, at this point, we already have like all available useful damage nodes for us right now. So, we're just going to start taking attributes at this point. Getting ready for our respend. And uh I am looking for Bala in this zone so that we can get the barrier cuz the power up you get when you do get the ascend is so big. We want just want to do it essentially as fast as possible. Lesser essence of the mind doesn't really do anything. Just going to ignore that. It's just mana. You can go mind of meta for this build, but >> even if I mind of meta, I don't know if I care enough to do that essence. So here I'm following the path that leads to Barbala. You can see like all these notes on the wall and essentially that's how we know where to go. must be sealed within these doors. and just swapping our gym back over again. So, we have the barrier, but we can't actually ascend until we finish the Hani Gates. So, we kind of just have to get to Helani Gates and finish that as fast as possible. So, we do need to save one of these level six gems for >> skeletal sniper because when we swap over, we want a skeletal sniper >> for our mark buff from Pounce. But we can use one of these. So I'm going to go ahead and do that on imbecilead in the meantime. and go back. Pick up that gem. We're going to use that for mark for death. We are going to start speaking down there in preparation for our respect. So depending on your weapon, you're either going to one-shot these guys or twosot So, I'm just casting two isn't strains to be safe. be honest. I don't really care if I get hit. I don't really care if I get hit by these like fire thingies. Don't really do much. So, I shot dualist viable. Well, we don't know anything about dualist. So my answer to that is yes. I'll count on that and we'll start out that. Perfect. That's exactly what we need. That's a great idea. I think a spellcaster dualist is going to be insane. So, I would definitely log that in >> if you're looking for a build to play. Probably the worst thing you could do here is get hit and run out of honor. So, don't do that. And we did it. We're going to take these points on the right. We are going to set up our skills. We don't need any of these anymore. We can drop all of these on the ground. I don't really care about these relics for the rest of the run. Uh we're going to go for boots. Reason we go for boots is there's a chance we get movement speed 15%. I'm going to go ahead and take the jewel here. I'm just going to get out of here. >> And we're just going to go over to Meon Badlands. We also need to set up this. We're going to take bidding one and we're going to use magnified area one as well. So, we're going to take magnified area one. There it is. And we also need concentrated area >> uh for single target. So, we're just going to leave that in there. And we're going to take a skeletal sniper as well. And we're just going to swap these over. while we're doing that. >> Uh, and those minions don't really actually do anything, but they do give us extra damage from Pounce, the mark, the mark that Pounce gives. Um, speaking of pounce, we do need to do mark for death, which is going to give us armor break. So, if I didn't have the support gem in there, I would be looking for the support gem, but I already had an extra tier two, so we can just go ahead at this point. Arctic armor, I'm not even really going to use it. All of Storms, I don't care. I'm going to set thunderstorm up as well. So, this gives an exalted orb. So, I'm going to wait to kill these guys. I did forget to respe. You should respspe. I forgot. So, I think after this I'll go back and do it. You are good at this game. Do you practice a lot? Uh I play this game every day about 8 to 11 hours or so a day. >> Uh we're going to spec out of the spell damage cast speed stuff. We're going to go through here and then we can spec out of all of these cuz none the none of these nodes do anything for us anymore. Uh and we're going to start making our way up here. Going to take these and these. So, at some point I do need to pick up a shield. Kind of just running nothing at the moment. Do you expect thunderstorm nerfs next patch? Um, not not campaign thunderstorm. I don't think thunderstorm is really even that particularly good in the campaign. So, so what we're going to do is is we're going to pounce thunderstorm and then we use Kari's brutality into Calarious Deception. I was supposed to swap over the con effect, but I forgot. So, we just lost like 50% of our damage. Just pounce in the sky again. >> Going to pick up all of these vendor trash. I don't think any of these are actually going to be any good, but we can vent them for some gold. >> Why thunderstorm? So, thunderstorm does two things for us. The most important thing is it procs this node when we have it. I forgot to deck it, but when we do have that node, it'll proc this, giving us 30% more minion damage. Uh when we have leveling lightning, which we just got, it's also going to summon minions for us, which is going to buff our damage thanks to pounce. Cuz pounce gives us 3% more damage essentially per minion that we have that is alive. >> So that's what we use thunderstorm. It's just living lightning and uh that 30% damage node on the tree. And at this point, our ascendency skill is basically just one-shotting any mob. >> So, we're going to go pounce thunderstorm and he's basically just going to get absolutely deleted. I'm going to swap that back as well. Going to pick up the amulet here. Hoping that it has minion levels. It did not. Feels bad. So, I actually did forget to pick up the relic and the and the bone pits. So, I'm going to have to go back and do that. >> Probably do that after the buried shrines. And now we got all these minion nodes. I'm just going to start going down there. Another thing I think I haven't mentioned yet is that if you are a wolf, you won't have your your scepter. So, like if I pounce, it brings me over to weapon swap two, which has my talisman and doesn't have my scepter. But if I use my skill, I stay as a wolf, which means I'm missing plus one minion levels. So, essentially, if you ever see yourself casting these skills while you're in wolf form, you'll have to manually weapon swap back to make sure that you have uh your scepter equipped. You know, sometimes you just do enough damage that you don't really even have to care about that. Like these guys are going to get two shot anyways. Can't you lock the skills to one set? You can't do that with uh these skills. Apparently, that's a thing for ascendency skills in general. But yeah, for these skills, you can't set them to only one weapon swap. If you do, your cool downs are going to get all messed up and you'll like never have cool downs. You'll never actually be able to use it. Go ahead and take that relic. I still need to buy a shield. I forgot to buy a shield. >> Jumped inside of the pillar. >> I am honored. So in here we can get a lesser jewel absorb from the league mechanic, but because our skill is like ascendancy skill, we don't actually need it. So I'm not really worried. I will got this sport gym though. We can take something like duration on thunderstorm. Doesn't do a whole lot but better than nothing. I'm going to swap over concentrated area. I have no space for that. >> I have to make a little bit of space for this. I'm going to go and vendor all of our items >> and go ahead and equip that shield. >> That could be 15%. It is. And because I forgot to get the relic from the bone pits, going to go back to the bone pits and have a look for that. Yeah, I don't have enough strength for that shield. I'm just going to have to leave it. So, the only mobs that actually drop the relic are these dogs. We got it already, so we're good. I'm going to check for a different shield. Hopefully, there's something I can use. So yeah, we'll just take this. Not too worried about like what stats are on it, to be honest. Most important thing is just the block. It does give you a tiny movement speed penalty. So if you do worry about that, you could use a focus instead. >> A focus isn't really going to give you any useful defensive stats. Get him out. Thank you. We're going to do this league mechanic because we get a unique item. Unique items always good. I guess always bad actually. So I never really do anything good. So we're going to go ahead and put these relics in here. We just take the one on the left which gives charm charges gained. I do want to hit 23 and a half or so before we get to Da. And we're almost 23, so we're kind of like right on track. I have heard whispers of such a place where titans fought and died. So yeah, making sure to weapon swap back into weapon set one after I pounce just so I have the minion skills. And when we hit level 25, we are going to start seeing scepters that can have plus two uh level two minions. So I'm going to be looking for that as well. So, at some point after I hit level 25, I'm going to be gambling for a plus two minion skill scepter. >> So, I have another tier 2 support gym. I don't have a whole lot of use for it, but last gasp does at least something. So, I'm just going to chuck the last gasp onto my skeletal sniper. Doesn't do a whole lot, but better than nothing. So now we're going to go and level up minions. Start creating more minions in preparation for master. Level 36. We're going to put master into here. >> Give us more damage.
