I actually just discovered your um channel yesterday and I saw you were live, so um Okay, that's interesting. >> Yeah, um my first question would be what would you say then that it is that makes some Muslim go to heaven? Because as a Christian, of course, we're we understand that we need, you know, a savior, in this case, Jesus, um to be able to go into heaven because whatever good deeds we do, they they will never be enough, right? And Okay. Jesus will be the solution for that. And I know Muslims, I do have a lot of respect for you guys. You guys tend to do or pray even more than us, so but even then, doing all of that, what determines that you will even, you know, go to heaven because you're still going to sin and you're still going to do bad things? What is the determination for that? Sure, excellent question. So, can I ask you a question? When you say our good deeds are never going to be enough, who set that standard? Well, that's what I've been told at at least in the church. Like I can, I guess, give to the poor or I can, you know, do all of these things, but it's kind of like someone gave me this example once. They would I'm sorry, someone's calling me. Let me turn it off. Um they gave me this example, like a criminal that goes, you know, to court uh to court and [clears throat] they've committed a crime and even if they try to do all of these good deeds, they've still, like, for example, killed someone. So, because of that, the judge still has to send them to prison. I don't know if that's a silly example, but that's kind of how I see >> no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, So, the the examples and parables, even examples and parables that they try to explain some some creeds are always the same. So, I'm smiling cuz I heard this so many times before. So, let me let me tell you the the problem with this example. Problem problem number one with this example and this idea is when you have the judge and you have someone who committed a crime. If the judge brings let's say this guy is called Luke and Luke murdered 20 people, okay? Okay. And the judge brings you and slaughters you, Ashley. What are you going to say? He says you are the one who going to go to to die for this sin. You're the one who's going to go to prison. I would be upset because I didn't do it. You didn't do it. So, what's what does that make that judgment then? Well, it would make him unjust, right? Sure. So, did Jesus is is Jesus the one who did the sins? But then that's when they're like oh, but then does it makes him just because he's having someone else take the the sin because God is a you know, a just God. He can't just let you enter into heaven if you're sinful. >> but you're you're not with my example, Ashley. Let's get back to my example. Where you're you're on the line, right? We want to put Jesus away. He's safe. Me and you are on the line in this case, yeah? We're we're the ones who are going to get murdered and slaughtered. So, if you're the one who's going to be slaughtered, you're going to say what? This is unjust. But why is it unjust? Why is it unjust is the question. Because I didn't do it. Because you didn't do the mistake. So, the one who commits the mistake, the one who steals, the one who kills, the one who does the sin is the one who's supposed to be punished. Nobody else who's innocent of that crime should be punished because by definition that's unjust. There's no situation where you can explain that it's okay because of this. Doesn't matter, he didn't do it. If he didn't do it, then it's an unjust behavior to that person. So, that's the point number one problem with that example, okay? Point number two problem with that example, if you steal let's not say kill because the Let's say the person is still alive because we want to use that example. Let's say you steal from me, different crime, okay? You steal from me. Both of me and you we come in front of the judge. Do I have the right to forgive you? Or or the only You stole from me, my money, my position. Do I have the right to forgive you or the only way is that you must give me my money back? There's no other option. No, there is an option where I can say, "Okay, I forgive her, no problem. She can keep the money, I don't mind." Um >> Can I do that? I guess you could. That's up to you. It's my property, right? It's my property. You committed a sin against me. It's my position. And I have the right to forgive if I want. Right? So, the the reason the example that they brought it brought you doesn't work because when we sin against God, God has the right to forgive. It's not God is dead now. He doesn't exist anymore where someone else is going to bring his right, you know? God is ever living. So, whenever you make a sin against God in this case when it comes to the Christianity, God has the right to forgive us without blood. Nobody needs to die. There is no payment. There is The minute there is payment, there is no forgiveness. You understand? If I If you took $5 from me and then I say I forgive you, but still give me my $5 back. You're going to say, "How do you forgive me? You just said you forgive me. Why are you asking for money again? You forgave me." If I forgave you, there is no payment. You understand? So, God has the right to forgive us. God is all powerful. So, this idea when you say our good deeds are not enough is is like it's a it's a corrupted concept because God has the right to say, "Okay, I God created us deficient. He made us this way. He knows we'll commit sins. If I commit a sin against God, not because I want to commit a sin, but because I it's a time of weakness. But I remember that I made a mistake. I'm a deficient human being and I say, "Okay, I'll come back to God. and repent. I have no intention of doing this again. I regret it." And I'll give back to people their rights if I took anything from anyone. And I'm going to stop this behavior, not come back to it again. Then God forgives me. Yeah, of course, that's perfectly fine, perfectly merciful. There is nothing wrong with this idea. The problem with Christianity is that you bring in someone is bringing someone who didn't do anything wrong, and then putting them on the stand and saying, "You are the one who's going to take all our sins." Not just me and you now, but everyone. Everyone, everything bad they did, you are going to take it away. That means you're given That basically means living you're living in a society where you given a free out of jail card to everyone. It's like imagine me, are they going to bring me today in the United States? Let's Let's apply this example to our country. You're going to bring me today, you know, they don't like me. I know they don't like me. So, yeah, they're going to bring me to America because they hate me. They're like, "Okay, this guy we don't like, he's going to take the sins of all the criminals in the United States." That means now, they're going to like torture me in the most horrendous ways possible. So, what's going to happen is every criminal that comes before the judge in America, he will say, "You're free to go because Muhammad took your sins away." We are He is getting punished now for the sins of everyone in America. Now, would anyone now not do a crime? Everyone is going to go around like stealing, murdering, killing, raping. Someone took our sins away. He's there is like a I'm not responsible anymore. Why should I better myself? Why should I be better? Like someone's already taken the the payment for everything. They are torturing him, they're killing him. He's He's our sheep. Our sheep has been slaughtered. It's okay. Like how Christians look at Jesus, we honestly as Muslims, we feel bad when we hear how the Christians talk about Jesus. Like he's just a lamb who went to the slaughter and he took the sins away, and now we can do what we want. But the Christians say, "No, no, no, you cannot do what you want." You still have to repent. So, we'll ask him, why do you repent? Repentance is for sinning. If the sin is forgiven, why do I repent? It's a contradiction. >> Because you have to be sincere. Okay, so did Jesus die for the sins? Yes. Are the sins forgiven when Jesus died? All of them? Well, they're supposed to be forgiven, yes, but Okay, even future sins, right? Yeah, I mean, once you hear about the gospel, that's when you're supposed to still like turn away from your sins. >> No No worries. I'll say I believe in Jesus. I love Jesus, you know? Like like Christians say they are not. I love Jesus, man. He is my everything, right? I love Jesus, this and that. Okay, cool. Now I I I believe. So now, no matter what I do, Jesus is taking the sins away. Bring me from the scripture where it says that now, once you believe in Jesus and you submit to Jesus, your sins is not forgiven. It's forgiven. So it doesn't matter if I do something. But I think there's a verse that says something like faith without works is dead, you know? Like Actually, I love Okay, beautiful. I love I love that you brought this. Thank you. Now, that is what James said. I love No, no, it's beautiful. I'll tell you why it's beautiful, because Christians hate this verse. They never use it. This is the verse that goes against the idea that you're saying. It says that you need to do works, but you started telling me that whatever you do is not enough. You see the contradiction? So now, is it that the faith without work is dead, or is it whatever you do doesn't matter? Which one is it? I think it's a contradiction. Uh well, the first I think my first statement was more of what I've been told, not really what I guess what the Bible says. It was my interpretation. >> No, it's what Paul says, actually. So what whatever they teach you, whatever they teach you, it's not what James James and Paul had two different ideas, and they were disagreeing with each other. You can see that in the book of Acts. It's It's mentioned in the book of Acts. What he even tries to make Paul look like a good person whatever, but anyways, in the book of Acts, if you look at the Paul's letters himself, you see that Paul is teaching people you don't need to follow the law anymore. You don't need to do the works. You're justified by faith, not works. This is what Paul says, by the way, himself. Then you go to James and you read the book of James and you see that James, who is the brother of Jesus, not Paul who never met Jesus, James who's the brother of Jesus, the head of the apostolic church, the James the just, the name they gave him, you know, he was the one that everyone would bow their head to and listen to what he says, right? He was the authority. Now, you would see him bringing Paul in for questioning. Bringing Paul in for questioning in the book of Acts. And he's telling Paul that we heard that you're teaching the Jews that they're justified without following the law. So now, to show that this is not true, go shave your head and sacrifice. This is in Acts chapter 21. I can even bring it on and read it if you'd like. The exact wording of what they told him. Uh give me 1 second. All right. Paul arrived at the Jerusalem. >> told this to Paul? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Acts chapter 21 verse 17. I'll read it for you now. Paul arrived at the Jerusalem is the title. Okay. When we arrived at Jerusalem, the brothers and sisters received us warmly. The next day, Paul and the rest of us went to see James and all the elders were present. You see James is there, the elders, and Peter, and they're all present, yeah? The big guys. Paul greeted them and reported in detail what God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry. He's giving reports now, you know? Hello, Mr. Commander, I've done A B C D, right? He's giving the report. Now, when they heard this, they praised God. They said to Paul, you see how many thousands of the Jews believed. And all of them are zealous for the law. They have been informed Now now the accusation about Paul. They've been informed that you teach the Jews who live among the Gentiles to turn away from Moses. Telling them not to circumcise their children or live among to our customs. You're telling the Jews to leave the law. Here's the accusation. So, now what what what he says to them. So, what do you tell? These are four men who have made a vow. So, take these men. He's giving him a direct command now, yeah? Take these men, join in the purification rituals, and pay their expenses so they can have their heads shaved. So, everyone will know there is no truth in these reports about you. And you yourself are living in obedience to the law. But, Paul literally is telling us in his letters we're justified by faith, not works. You see the the the problem? So, you're having this contradiction, actually, is because the teachings of Paul, which is the Christianity of today, is not the Christianity of Jesus. Okay? So, the Christianity of Jesus, where he told you that the law is important, where he himself followed the law. Jesus circumcised, didn't eat pork, he fasted, right? This was Jesus's life. He followed the law. He told the people that he didn't come to destroy the law or the prophets. He came to fulfill it. And then he said that whoever abandons the law or teaches others to do so, even a dot from the law, he will not enter the kingdom of heaven, he said. In Matthew. Matthew chapter 5 verse 17, 18, and 19. And 20. He's speaking about following the law specifically, keeping up the law and not abandoning any of it. Yeah. So, let me let me read for you Ezekiel now, okay? Okay. Cuz you're talking to me about the deeds. So, let's see what the Bible says in Ezekiel chapter 18. Okay? The whole of the chapter is about it, but let's read towards the end of the chapter what it says, okay? Verse 20. It says, "The one who sins is the one who will die." So, we will ask the question based on this first statement. Did Is it Jesus the one who sinned? Um I think it's the father the one who sins. No, sinned. The Jesus The father didn't sin. >> Sinned. Oh, I'm sorry. >> Sinned, yeah. No, no, it's fine. Did Jesus sin? No. So, this verse says the one who sinned, the one who committed the sin, is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. But, they tell us that we're sharing the guilt of Adam, the father of all humanity. We didn't do anything to say, "Oh, you have the sin that the people need to die for." No, I don't have I didn't do anything. I don't share the guilt of the parent, okay? Nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to him. And the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them, not against someone else. Look, the verse is super clear. But, but look, verse 21. But, if a wicked person himself turns away from all his sins that they have committed and keeps my commandments and does what is just and righteous, that person will surely live. They will not die. None of the offenses they have committed will be remembered against them. Because of the righteous things they have done, they will live. Because of what? Because of the righteous things, the deeds. They did, they will live. Is this the Old Testament? Yeah, this is Ezekiel chapter 18. And Old Testament. Ezekiel is in the Old Testament. This is in the Old Testament. The New Testament is what I told you, which is in Matthew. I'll read it for you now. Jesus' words in the New Testament. Matthew chapter 5 verse 17 onwards. Let me read it for you. Okay, here. Do not think I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. Jesus is saying, "Do not think of this idea that I came here to destroy the law or abolish it, I have come to fulfill it. Okay? This is what Jesus came to do. Yes. All right. Then, fulfilled means to carry out something, by the way, as well. Yeah? To carry out something as expected. So, Jesus is saying here that I did not come to destroy the law, I've come to fulfill it. Here the because Christians always say, "Hey, who said fulfill it? What does fulfill it mean?" Fulfill can mean to carry out something, make something full. Doesn't mean to leave it, all right? So, Jesus says, "I come I did not come to destroy the law of the prophets, I have come to fulfill." For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, which is what the the end of time. So, he's saying this will remain until the end of time. Until heavens and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the the least stroke of a pen by any means will disappear from the law until everything is accomplished. So, until what? Until the heavens and earth pass, he say. Therefore, anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands, one, or teaches others accordingly, will be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever practices and teaches these commandments will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, until your righteousness exceeds and surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will not certainly enter the kingdom of heaven. Mhm. So, he's telling them what? That you not only you see these Jews and Pharisees that are doing some of the law or whatever. Even though they try to play with the law, you know, they try try to play with the law and and manipulate it. But he's saying you have to be better than that. You have to do better than them and have the faith. So, you see, this is the I'm I'm quoting the the Bible. Even though like I I said many times, like the Bible is changed, it's not a historically arrival text. But we're still using the Bible to show you that even from the Bible, this idea that they're teaching you in the church is a lie. Whether it's Old or New Testament, it doesn't change the idea. And the faith without works is dead as a New Testament as well. Book of James. So, would you say that most Muslims do think they're going to heaven by the deeds, I guess, and >> Yeah, so so in Islam in Islam let me now answer the what you what you said in a clear way about going to heaven. In Islam, the criteria to go to heaven is to die upon Islam. Criteria to go to heaven is to die upon Islam. Now, whether it's the same in Christianity, a lot of Christians say we're saved. No, you're not saved until you die. Even if you accepted Christianity, but okay, before you die you became an atheist. Are you saved? No. So, this idea you're saved is not true until your death comes. In Islam, the one who dies with Islam, dies as a Muslim is safe. He will eventually enter paradise. But also, Islam we're talking Remember the idea of justice you're talking about of the law and and the judge and whatever. In Islam, you cannot sin against other people, be as a Muslim and die and be forgiven. No. You will be held accountable on the day of judgment. You will be held accountable on the day of judgment. Meaning, let's say I did something bad to you, okay? In this life. I stole from you. I did this and that and I didn't repent and give you back your right. I still kept your stuff with me. And I died as in this way. Even though I died as a Muslim, on the day of judgment, I'm going to be held accountable that your rights will be given back to you. I'll I'll have a pun- a form of punishment for this action that I did. You understand? So, nobody gets away. >> but still go to heaven after the punishment? Yes, so in Islam Yes, so in Islam, the only thing that will keep you in eternal hellfire, eternal, okay, the idea of eternally to you know, quotation marks. I have eternal now is only if a person dies on this belief or associating with God. This is the only way you can be there eternally. If you die as a Muslim, now not thinking Prophet Muhammad was a prophet, like a real prophet. And I That's an example of disbelief. That's an example of disbelief. It's also It's also Are you saying what? Can you say that again? Not thinking Allah is God or what What did you say? I just want to make sure I Like not like your meaning of this disbelief would be not accepting Allah as like the true God and not accepting Allah as a real prophet. >> Yeah, meaning of disbelief it's the opposite of belief. So, we have six articles of faith. To believe in Allah. So, if you don't believe in Allah, you're a disbeliever. So, the opposite of the belief I'm telling you now. To believe in Allah, to believe in his messengers, all of them, to believe in his books, revelations that he sent down in the past. The ones that are changed and the ones that are not. And to believe in the angels. To believe in the day of judgment. And to believe of destiny from God. If you disbelieve in any of these, you're a disbeliever. So, you said disbelieving Prophet Muhammad. Yes, you're a disbeliever if you disbelieve in Prophet Muhammad. But if you disbelieve in Jesus as a Muslim, you're also a disbeliever. If you disbelieve in Moses as a Muslim, you're a disbeliever. You need to believe in all the prophets that Allah has mentioned. All the prophets. All the revelations from God. You need to believe in the angels. You need to believe in heaven and hellfire. You need to believe in these things. So, a disbeliever here is the Yeah. Go ahead. I'm sorry. Cuz I've been also reading the Quran um the last couple weeks. And from what I've been reading, it also mentions like also how like people of the book that are were truly I mean, at least in my understanding that are truly righteous, God will have a reward from them. And I even had wrote it down. Like I think it's Surah 2:62. >> So, >> But this verse is talking about the the ones that will accept Islam. So, Allah in the Quran calls uses the term people of the book for people who will accept Islam. Can you research in front of you now? I'll give you an example if you want. Chapter 3 of the Quran verses 199. Can you read it? It explains the other verse that you mentioned. 3109? 199. So, chapter 3 verse 199. 99? All right, I can read it for you if you want. I have the book here. Okay. Sure. Read it. Says, "Indeed, there are among the people of the book." So, now we're talking about the people of the book. "Who truly believe in Allah and what has been revealed to you, which is the Quran, and what was revealed to them. They humble themselves before Allah, never trading Allah's revelation for fleeting gain. Their reward is with their Lord. Surely, Allah is swift in reckoning. Okay? Here, Allah is addressing in the verse that you're talking about because the verse you're talking about it says, "Those who believe in Allah and and the Nasara, the Christians, if you want to use that term, and and the Jews and the Sapiens, whoever believes in Allah and does righteous deeds." So, you have to believe in Allah. That's a condition there. He's talking about those of them who will become believers. I can give you more examples if you want where Allah talks about the people of the book. So, you're saying people of the book are not referring to Christians and Jews, but people that have >> No, it is. It is. It it is referring to Christians and Jews, but some verses are when it talks about, for example, the one you said, "Rewarding them or them going to paradise" is referring to the believer among them, those who will believe. So, the Quran talks about the people of the book, believers and disbelievers, but there's two categories in the Quran. So, I cannot use a verse that is referring to the believers, the people who believed among the book, and apply it to the people who disbelieve. Does that make sense? I'll give you an example. About about the disbelievers, I'll give you an example of the disbelievers from the people of the book. Yeah, cuz I came across like a couple of times >> chapter Yeah, can you open chapter 98 verse 6. Or I'll read it. I'll read it for you. Yeah. Or you can find it. Indeed those who disbelieve from the people of the book and the polytheists will be in the hellfire and they will stay there forever. Okay? So here Allah tells us there are believers and there are also disbelievers. So the verse the verse in chapter 3 199 it says there is among the people of the book who truly believe in Allah. And then uh 98 it says there are those who disbelieve. So you have groups of the people of the book in the Quran explicitly. Now when you go to the Quran the the chapter that you talked about the verse that you talked about refers to the believers among the people of the book. So chapter 2 of the Quran that you quoted verse 62 indeed the believers the Jews and the Christians and and the Sabians whoever here's a condition truly believes in Allah in the last day and does good their reward will be with their Lord and there will be no fear for them nor will they grieve. So this is talking about who? The believers among the people of the book. Yeah, I just read 98:6 it says indeed those who disbelieve from the people of the book. So disbelieve about what again? Like Prophet Muhammad and >> you an example that we have articles of faith. Yeah. Yeah, there's any any of these things. I'll give you an example in chapter 4 of the Quran where it explicitly talks about disbelieving in the messengers and how this is true disbelief. 4:150. Can you read it? Yeah. Mhm. Surely those who deny God and his messengers and wish to make a distinction between God and his messengers saying we believe in some and disbelieve in others desiring to forge a compromise they are indeed the true disbelievers. Okay. So when you talk about disbelievers here if a person says oh I believe in Moses and not Jesus and Muhammad or I believe in Jesus and Moses and not Prophet Muhammad it doesn't matter. You got to believe in all the prophets of God. Whoever disbelieves in the messengers of God is a disbeliever in all the messengers. Any of them means you disbelieve in all of them. Because the message of them all was was the same. They were all They all taught you to worship God alone. Taught you to do good, not steal, not kill the innocent. All of these things They all taught you the same thing. There's one creator, there's angels, there's heaven, there's hellfire. They taught the same thing. So, if you disbelieve in one, you disbelieve in all. But, of course, that would apply to the people that actually heard the message and they just decided to like not believe, right? What Cuz what about people who have never like heard of anything? >> right. You right. You right. And that that is answered in the Quran again. I'll go look I'll give you references for what I say. Like You don't need to believe what I say. You got to just If you read the Quran, Quran answers what you Go to chapter 17 of the Quran, verse 15. It will answer what you just said. Whoever chooses to be guided, it is only for their own good. And whoever chooses to stray, it is only to their own loss. No soul burdened with sin will bear the burden of another. And we will never punish a people until we have sent a messenger to warn them. You see? You are not punished until you receive the message. This is a criteria in Islam. The people who go to hellfire in Islam, they need the following criteria. One, they receive the message of Islam, a clear message of Islam. Not some nonsensical message, lies from the media. They're not the true message of Islam. So, people who receive the message from from God, criteria number one, right? Number two, they reject the message. Number three, they die rejecting the message. Because they could accept before their death. If these three things apply, then you go to hellfire. If you don't get the message that we have a narration of Prophet Muhammad that tells us that the people will have a different test on the day of judgment. You know? People who didn't receive the message, they You have a different test on the day of judgment. So, do see justice? This is what ultimate justice is. Talking about justice in the beginning, this is a true justice in Islam. You are a Muslim? Yeah, you can go to paradise, but that doesn't mean you can do whatever you want. If you die committing sins that you didn't repent from, or you did something bad to people, you would be held accountable for it and punished for it in the afterlife. If you die live the best life you can as a Muslim and do your best and try to repent and and and do the best you can, then God will have mercy on you and will admit you into paradise. If someone he doesn't hear the message, he he gets a different test. Someone gets the message and rejects the message and dies on that, then he goes to hellfire. Everything in Islam is just. That's how just true justice is, because it's from God. I see. Would you say like do you guys see Allah as like a loving like a loving God or more of a like someone that requires your submission? Cuz that's another point I I've heard pastors say. Yeah, so Allah in the Quran says Allah is loving and merciful. The Lord of the throne of glory. And he is the most forgiving, the most loving. The Lord of the throne of glory. This is what we believe about Allah. Allah is the most loving, without a shadow of a doubt. But Allah, just like he Allah is is loving and merciful, he's also just. So, being loving doesn't mean now that you will forgive the wrongdoers, or you will not leave the people who are doing evil and give justice to the weak. That's not love. Love comes with justice when it comes to Islam. So, it's we have a balance in Islam. It's not just the idea of love, and not just the idea of of deeds and punishment. No, it's it's a balance. Allah is loving, and that's why look, you see the love of Allah in the commands of Allah. You see the mercy of Allah in the commands of Allah. For example, Allah tells us that if we do one good deed, it is multiplied automatically by 10. So, it's not one, it's 10 good deeds. So, I I give charity, now it's multiplied by 10. Allah says, "Up to 700." And Allah increases to whom he wills. So, you could do give one $1, 1 pound, whatever, and you can get millions of good deeds for that. Like the person who donated a million dollar, depending on your intention. Cuz I could I could be poor and I only have a dollar and I donated everything I have. Someone else is a millionaire and he donates a dollar, it's nothing. Yeah. So, God will reward you based upon your intentions. But everyone who does a deed, God automatically automatically gives you 10 times that reward. Now, up to like I said, up to 700, up to an infinite amount. If you do one bad deed, it's one bad deed. If I want to do a bad deed and then I stop, I get a good deed. But I was going to do a bad deed. Like I didn't do anything good. All I did is just like I was about to do something bad and I stopped. Allah rewards you. Gives you a good deed. If you do good deeds, Allah uses the good deeds to forgive your bad deeds. Allah says, "Inna al-hasanat yudhibna as-sayyiat." The good deeds, they remove the bad deeds. Just by doing good deeds, Allah removes your bad deeds. Allah says, "If you avoid the major sins, nukaffir ankum sayyi'atikum, we forgive your minor sins." So, if you forgive the major sins, like Islam is categorized to major and minor sins. Like for example, killing, associating with God, you know, this stuff. If you avoid these major sins, Allah will forgive your minor sins. Interesting. So, you guys do believe there's major That's interesting. So, you guys do like differentiate major sins and minor sins? Because in Christianity, a sin is a sin. Like there's no Yeah. Okay. Okay. A sin Okay. A sin is a sin. Okay. Okay. A sin A sin is a sin. There is There is You You You have $100, you put them next to you in the bus, you know, when you're going somewhere to work. $100 you're counting and you put like $100 in one next to you and you continue counting. And I'm a poor person who don't have any money and I'm sitting in the seat behind and I see the money on the table, so I take $1. Okay? Mhm. And then I go so I can buy some bread and eat it. Is example A of a sin. Example B, I see you in the in the bus and you Have you heard of the incident in America that that blonde woman and that and that guy who used a knife and whatever? Have you seen that incident? Um where? Yeah, in America there's an incident where a where a blonde woman or whatever was in the bus. There was a like a say African-American guy and he had a knife and he's like Oh, I think I did. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. >> Yeah, yeah, over there, yeah. You have two examples here. So, are these two sins equal? Is it rational in any worldview for any rational human being to say a sin is a sin in these two cases? I mean, of course for us not, but I don't I don't know how God sees it, you know. Are we wiser than God? Like I Of course we're not wiser than God. God knows like This is This is what I I I find it a defect in Christianity that it doesn't differentiate between minor and major sins because by definition sins sins are not equal and situations are not equal and it all depends on That's why Allah is a judge in Islam. So, Allah is a judge. He knows your intention, he knows your situation, he knows all of that. Allah is not going to treat that man like he's going to treat the person who took that dollar from you because he needed to feed his kids or whatever and he was a poor person. Like this is not the same. So, in Islam, not only are sins differentiated into major and minor sins, but also in Islam sins are differentiated into sins against the people versus sins against Allah. Sins against other people are only forgiven by the people. God doesn't forgive on behalf of people. You have to forgive. And then sins on behalf of God that you commit on behalf of God and God can forgive you by repentance. So, Islam is a system when it comes to just I'm telling you it's a it cannot come from a human being. It's only from the creator. It's a perfect system in every aspect. And like I said, as human beings we have an innate intuitive nature. Nobody's going to come and tell you these two incidents are the same and you're going to be like, "Yeah, okay, that makes sense." It's not going to happen. I guess that's a good point, yeah. Yeah, so okay, the thing is this like what what would prevent you? Let me ask this question then. What would prevent you? What stops you you from becoming a Muslim? If these things make sense to you and and you see I'm just giving you For everything I tell you, I'm giving you references in the Quran references in in the Bible. You don't need to take anything from me. I'm just giving you what the book say. What is preventing you now from accepting the message of Islam? What's preventing you from becoming a Muslim yourself? I guess it's just like a lot of process and and having to I guess deny everything that I've been instructed with like at least for the last 2 years I was like really um I guess closer than what I am now to my church and commitment to what I believed in, so I guess it's just a matter of me doing also more research on my own that I haven't really done and Mhm. also spiritually not only logically but I want to feel like spiritually drawn to Mhm. >> to that religion if that makes sense. >> I know what it is, of course. But now let me ask you these two questions. The first question Okay. >> is is it about the truth or is it about what we like spend time doing? I could be spending many years doing something wrong. But it's about the truth. It's about what actually is from God. It's about what God actually wants from us. It's about how to truly have a true connection with God through relationship with God the way he commanded us to, not the way we invent ourselves. So, it's about truth. That's the first thing I'll say on that point. Second thing I'll tell you you'll you'll deny you'll deny everything you're upon. That's not true cuz there's so many similarities. What you will deny is that which is not from God. Things which are not like I'm telling you, things which are not rational, things that are not from God. Like I was showing you, Jesus told you to follow the law. Jesus prayed. Jesus fasted. You know, the time of Lent right now by the way, the fasting of Jesus 40 days whatever claim that it's right now, right? So Jesus is fasting. You don't have Christians fasting like but Jesus fasted, Jesus prayed, Jesus you know, he's he's from the Middle East. He's a Palestinian. He he he would he had have dressed like the people at the time. He would he would his mother, do you know how his mother was like? Go to any any picture in any church. Covering your head like Muslim woman. He was circumcised. Cuz that was Jesus like So it's not about that you are going to deny everything. You're going to deny the lies that people have taught you that are not from Jesus. >> But in the Bible like in the New Testament, you don't see where like Jesus claim to be God like what the reference is. >> Absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah, he actually claims that he's not God in in some instances. He basically people say accuse him of being God, then he says to them I only said I'm the son of God. Basically, he's not saying I'm God. He's If he's God, he's going to say yes. But he's denying the claim. How about like when the Jews like stoned him what like when they they told him oh like you're claiming to be God, why wouldn't he then be like oh no, I'm not or something? Yeah, but that's what I'm telling you. He's saying to them that I only said I'm the son of If you say to me, you're claiming to be the best basketball player and then I say to you, I only said I'm a good basketball player. Isn't that me denying that I said that I'm the best basketball player? I guess. If I say I only said you know, yeah, if I say I only said this is I didn't say what you claimed I said that. If I say I only said I'm a good one, then I never said I'm a best one. Because only here means that's the only thing I did. What about the one that he's like before Abraham I am? I'll answer that one, but but can you I'll I'll This is John chapter 8 verse 58. I know very well verses in the Bible, but before I answer this one, I I just want you to internalize the one I told you first. Because it's it's the idea cuz what happens a lot when I discuss with Christians, we move a lot. But we need to actually internalize the point that is being made. If >> Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm just like screaming with questions just like you're in my mind. >> [laughter] >> No, no, that's good. That's good. That's good. People are learning and it is good to ask questions. But I'm trying to highlight important points where you should stop at. Do you have the Bible for example with you? Yeah. Okay, can you go to John chapter 10 verse 32? I have shown you many good work many good works from the Father for which of them are you going to stone me? Stop here. So here when they want to stone him, he asked them, "Why are you stoning?" He says, "I did many works from God." He's not claiming, "Oh, I did many works from myself. I am God." No, no, he's saying, "Look, I did many works from God. Why are you stoning me?" Then what do they say? "We stone you not for blasphemy, but you're a mere man claiming to be God." Correct? Mhm. Then what does he say? He says, "Does it not say in your law you are gods and the sons of the Most High? Or you are gods?" Correct? Am I Am I quoting the scripture correctly so far? Sorry, I don't have it right in front of me. Um I was looking at the scripture you told me >> No, no worries. No worries. So so I'm telling you Yeah, so 32 says "For which of the good works are you stoning?" 33, they say to him, "We don't We stone you not for the good works, but for you are a mere man who claim to be God." So they're accusing him now of claiming to be God. Okay? Mhm. >> Then Jesus goes on in 34 and says to them that "Doesn't it not say in your law, "You are gods"? Meaning now, what is he doing? He's saying to them, "In your own scripture, God calls you God. And you're not gods." He's saying to them, "In the language, in the biblical language, you can call someone God even if he's not God." And what is he quoting? He's quoting the Old Testament. If you go to the Psalms chapter 82:6, the judges of the Jewish people are called God. God calls them God. God says to them, "You are gods." But they're not gods. So, Jesus says to them, "Even if I said I'm God, that doesn't mean I'm God, because you guys are called God in your own book." Then he says, "I only said, or I said I'm Ben Elohim, I'm the son of God. I didn't say I was God." I'm reading it now. I pulled it up on my phone. >> Yes. Go ahead. 34. Read it. Jesus replied, "It is written in your own scriptures that God said to certain leaders of the people, 'I say you are gods.'" Look in 82. Psalms 82. If you look at the footnotes, probably it quotes Psalms 82:6. But yeah. Sorry, did you not say John 10:34? Yeah, yeah, you're right. So, now read the next one now. Yeah. And you know that the scriptures cannot be altered. So, if those people who received God's message were called gods, why do you call it blasphemy when I say I am the son of God? After all, the Father sent me apart and sent me into the world. Uh-huh. So, does this sound like God or is like someone who's arguing against them that I'm not I'm not claiming to be God? What does this sound like? What is he clearly saying there? That he's the son of God. He is the >> would he say son? Like Yeah, because the Bible, all over the place, uses the term son of God for a righteous person. You know, Adam is called the son of God. Do you know that? Yeah. Adam is called the son of God. Abraham is called the son of God. David is called the son of God. Ephraim is called the son of God. The Bible says, "Blessed be the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God." Like if you're a peacemaker, you you are a son or a daughter of God according to the Bible. So, the Bible says that in Islam, like you there God >> way, the same verse By the way, the same verse he quoted that he said, "You are gods. It's written in your law." It also calls them the sons of God. So, it doesn't prove anything, basically, what you're saying. Son of God is just a term used for everyone in the Bible. In the same verse he quoted to them, they're called the sons of God. So, he's saying he's telling them, "You're called the sons of God in this verse." Like I'm not doing anything different from you. That's the argument he's making. Right. So, do we agree now that he's clearly here denying? If he was God, he would say what? Yeah, I'm God. I'm not blaspheming. Why are you trying to stone God? I I'm God himself coming to die for you. He needs to say that, or he's confusing the people. He needs to tell them if he was God, he's like, "No, you have to believe in me because I'm God." Yeah. Okay. Now, you quoted John 8:58. Do you know the context of the other verse that you quoted? Um to be honest, not 100%. [clears throat] That's just >> Okay. Go to John >> Usually what I hear. Go No worries. Go to John 8 and I'll tell you the context. So, you had the Jewish people having a dialogue with Jesus, okay? And then Abraham is mentioned. Jesus starts telling them that about Abraham. He says, "Abraham rejoiced to see my day." They say to him, "You're not 50 years old yet. How do you know about Abraham?" Right? Mhm. So, now there's a conversation about Abraham. Jesus is giving information about Abraham to to them. They're like, "How do you know about Abraham? You're just He's still not 50 yet." Then Jesus says, "Priam Abram ego eimi" in Greek, or "Before Abraham I was" or I am. "Before Abraham I am." Okay? Now, explain to me what does this verse mean to you? Let's read it now and let me we see the context. I read through you the context you can understand. Context is a dialogue about Abraham. They They like, "How do you know about Abraham?" So, he says to them, "Before Abraham was, I am." What does that mean? From my understanding, I am is one of the names of God, so he's he's claiming that he's before Abraham given that he's God, so he's been No, no, wait, wait, wait, wait. Okay, let's let's let's You see You added a nice caveat there, right? You just like you said, "Before Abraham" and then you added that he's God. Like, no, like before Abraham only if you want to take it that understanding, okay? So, let's try and take which understanding you want to you want to apply. So, understanding one, there's two understandings that Christians try to apply to this verse. I'll help you. I'll give you a Christian say, okay? Understanding number one, they say that he's saying he's before is eternal. Right? He's saying that he was before Abraham, therefore he's eternal. That's understanding number one, okay? Understanding number two, they say that I am is a name of God. I am is a name of God, okay? And they they say we we rely on Exodus chapter 3 where Moses asked God, "What should I tell the people what your name is?" And then God told him, "I am whatever I am." Okay? So, like, okay, here, look. I am is a name of God or I am who I am. They're like, "Oh, look. I am is a name of God, okay?" You with me so far? I'm trying to make sure that you're with me 100%, okay? If you If If something doesn't make sense, tell me. So, these are two understandings. Understanding number one, I am is a name of God. Understanding number two, Jesus is eternal. Let's try and look at these two understandings, okay? Understanding number one, I am is a name of God. So, now let's read the verse. Before Abraham was I am, let's change the name I am and put God, okay? Before Abraham was God. Does that mean he's claiming to be God? Mhm. I guess it will miss like saying I am and then I am I am. He has to say I am I am in this case. If I am is the name of God, he has to say I am I am which would mean I am God because I am is the name of God according to them. So here Mhm. Yeah, go ahead. What do you want to say? No, it's just like I don't know if it has to be literally that way given that the translations are different. So I don't know how it translate like if it translate well to the English language or not. >> know. I told you the Greek. I told you the Greek. The Greek says prim Abraham genitai ego eimi. Prim Abraham, before Abraham, genitai, generated, existed, ego eimi, I am. That's the literal Greek words. I'll tell you what the the manuscript itself says. So we're not we're not going to rely on translations now because I know that you see this is what it literally says, okay? Christians always misinterpret the text. That's why I come and I tell you the context and I tell you what the what the Greek says. I I'm bringing that as a Muslim. That's what a Christian is supposed to do that, but they change the words of their book. So before Abraham was I am. If we say I am is the name of God, then here we he says before Abraham was God. And do you know that makes perfect sense? Do you know why it makes sense? Can I tell you why it makes perfect sense? Because it fits the context. If before Abraham was God, then God can tell Jesus about Abraham because he was before Abraham. If God was before Abraham and everyone, God can reveal to Jesus about Abraham and he can tell them about Abraham. Just like God told Jesus about Moses, right? Moses Jesus wasn't at the time of Moses. God told him about David. Jesus wasn't at the time of David. So also God told him about Abraham. What's the problem? God was always there. He was before everyone. So Jesus this is what Jesus is telling them, not that he's claiming to be God. Okay? Yeah. Sorry, it's just like I'm trying to process everything. It's just like new to me everything that I'm listening now. Yeah, all I'm doing is just explaining to you the verses that the church is telling you. So, did you understand this part? Okay, does that make sense what I told you so far? >> Yeah, I I see that. Yeah. Okay, okay. About eternality eternality there. First, if it says before Abraham was I I was before Abraham or existed before Abraham. If he's saying that, this is not eternality. To exist before someone doesn't mean you always exist. So, number one, the verse doesn't actually say he's eternal. It just says that he was before Abraham. There's many people who existed before Abraham. Many people, many beings, many things existed before Abraham. For example, Satan is a being and angels are beings. They existed before Abraham. Doesn't make them God. The Bible also there is a person called Melchizedek. And that person Melchizedek is someone who lived at the time of Abraham. That person Melchizedek is is called is is the Bible says describing him, he has no father, no mother, no genealogy, no beginning of days, no end of time. He's eternal. But he's not God. The verse says in the likeness of the Son of God. He's not God. He lived at the time of Abraham. Mhm. So, even if we said eternal when the verse doesn't say eternal, even if we said he's eternal, it doesn't mean he's God. So, basically this verse nobody can use to say that Jesus claimed to be God. But you see, they leave the verses that are clear like a verse I gave you and they go to verses which are not clear. You realize Jesus himself, he doesn't have the attributes of God like Jesus said that he doesn't know everything, right? He doesn't know the hour. You know that, right? Yeah. So, a God knows everything. Yeah, he says only the Father. And he can't you cannot be God or the same as God or one with God or any of these things and he knows something you don't know it. So, they leave the clear verses like Jesus is he by himself he can do nothing. Imagine if the Bible says that >> human form, no? Like in his human form. No, no, but Christians tell you, I know what you're saying, but Christians tell you that Jesus was God and human when he was on Earth. He had all the attributes of God. If he was just a human then me and you we agree already, right? We believe the same thing. We believe he was just a human. If you tell me he was just a human I'll be like, "Yeah, we agree." But they say, "No, he wasn't just a human." Like when we say to the Christians, "Jesus is just a prophet or a prophet." They're like, "No, no, no, he's God." Like it's all right. So, which is it? Is it God or is he human? Which are like If you guys agree with us that he's a human, then we agree on the same thing. But if you say to us, "No, no, no, actually he was 100% God when he was on Earth." We're like They call it hypostatic union. He had two natures, the nature of a human and nature of God, which means he possessed the nature of God when he was on Earth. He was fully God when he was on Earth. Ask any Christian church father, "Is Jesus 100% God when he was on Earth?" They will tell you, "Yes." But what does it mean to be God? It means to know everything, to have all power, and all of this. That's what it means. Cannot pick and choose. So, either he was God or he wasn't God. If he didn't have these attributes then he wasn't God. He was just a human. And then we believe the same thing. By the way, this idea of 100% man, 100% God, hypostatic union nature is not in the Bible. The church The church came up with this in the fifth fourth fifth century after Jesus, 4 500 years after Jesus. They came with this idea of the hypostatic union in the councils because they found a problem. They saw so many verses that are contradictory. Verses where Jesus clearly saying he's a human and other verses where they're trying to claim that he's claiming to be God, like the one you brought where he is not claiming to be God. So, like there's a contradiction here. Oh, no, but let's solve the contradiction. Let's say that he's 100% man, 100% God. But he never said that. And this is a contradiction. To say 100% man, 100% God is a contradiction itself. I see. Can I ask you one last question then give me what you've explained. So, what makes you, I guess, then believe in Islam, I guess? Like, what makes Prophet Muhammad like reliable? How do I know that he was a true prophet? Yeah. Well, I'll say the first and most important thing to to consider is that his message is consistent with the messengers. Previous prophets and messengers. So, he he brought the same message to the people, that there's only one God worthy of worship. When Moses was around, he told the people, "Hear, oh Israel, your Lord God is one God." Prophet Muhammad taught, "Kul hu Allahu Ahad." In Hebrew, it's Ahad, it's in in Arabic, it's Ahad, it's the same thing. One God. He taught the same consistent message. He also taught the people to worship the same God of the previous messenger, the God of Abraham, the God of Jesus, the God of Moses. That's That's what the Quran teaches. He brought the same message and taught the people to worship the same God. And he affirmed their message. He said, "These were true messengers coming from God, but the people have changed their teachings later." All right? Then the Prophet Muhammad, when he came, you study his life, you saw that he was the most honest, the most trustworthy. He He didn't go for financial gain and worldly gain. He didn't lie to the people ever. The Even the people who were his enemies admitted that he was the most truthful truthful and honest. He lived being persecuted, calling people to worship God alone and to be away from idols. Any false prophet will always go for something. He either wants status, money, worldly gains, women, this and that. This is what he wants. Cuz he's a false prophet. He will have He will want all of these things. But when you look at the life of Prophet Muhammad, you see that everything that people would want, the prophet left for the sake of God. He endured persecution and people threatening his life for 13 years in Mecca until he went to Medina. And they still tried to attack him with war, one after the other. And he still defended himself. And he continued until his death upon calling people to worship one God alone. He said to the people don't over praise me. I'm a say the messenger of God and his servant. So, we can see that he is in line of all these prophets and messengers, but he also brought signs. Because prophets bring signs. Prophets prophesy. So, Prophet Muhammad made many prophecies about the future. Many many many many prophecies about the future which we are seeing unfold in in front of us at our own eyes now. Prophet Muhammad, for example, named all the countries that would are Muslim today. He said that they would become Muslim. Prophet talked about Sham, Levant, which is you have Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, Yemen. He said all of these countries. He said Egypt. He said Iraq. He said Constantinople, present day Turkey. He said Hind and Sind, India and Pakistan. He said Islam will spread to these >> he say these things? Is that in the Quran? Yes, we we have now two main sources for Islam. We have the Hadith of the Prophet, which is his words, Prophet's words. Right? And then we have the Quran and the Quran is God's words. So, as Muslims, difference between us and every other faith, we don't put God's words and people's words. God's words is on its own. So, we believe when we say God's words it's not inspired words, by the way. It's verbatim, first person, the words of God. Unlike, for example, in Christianity, Christians believe it's inspired words. So, the writers were writing and they were inspired by God. No, no, no. The Quran is Allah himself speaking in first person. And who wrote it? Who wrote the Quran is a companion of the Prophet Muhammad. We have their names. They're called writers of revelation. Quran was not revealed as one book. It was revealed on different in 23 years, different chapters, different verses. And then we have the writers of revelation writing the Quran. So, we have the companions of the Prophet like whether it's Abu Bakr Siddiq, Zaid ibn Thabit, Ali ibn Abi Talib, many companions. They were called writers of revelation. And they would write the Prophet would command them, bring them to write the Quran and they would write the Quran down on parchment or whatever they have. But most importantly, they would memorize it. That's why we memorize the Quran from beginning to end. Millions of Muslims that memorize the Quran, every word, from beginning to end. There's not a single You're not going to find Christians ever that memorize the Bible. But you have Muslims that memorize the Quran from beginning to end, all of it, millions. We have certificate that traces back to our Prophet Muhammad. We mainly preserve our book orally, but we also have the written manuscripts of the Quran from 1st and 2nd century, full Quran, the same one we memorize today. So you have the first ever Quran? No, it's not the first ever Quran because I told you people would write on parchment. So at that time, people in the deserts of Arabia, they would write on uh tree leaves, they would write on leather. You would write on anything they had. They they they were not like books and libraries like today. But then that was compiled? It was compiled and that original compilation that we're talking about, that was compiled at the time of life of the Prophet himself, was standardized at the time of Uthman. We have that copy, which is Uthman is a companion of the Prophet, the third caliphate of Islam. His standardization we have it. Does that make sense? Yeah. >> standardized it into book form and printing and all of that, when when it became that, we have that standardized version, which was a copy of the original ones that were written in the life of the Prophet himself. By the way, we have some When I tell you parchments, we have a parchment, for example, from the life of the Prophet himself in Birmingham in the UK. It's called the Birmingham parchment of the Quran. You can Google it. It's from the life of the Prophet himself. Carbon dated to his life. And it has the same Quran that we have. It's a It's a parchment, not the full book, but it has from chapter two of the Quran and some other chapters, and it has the same Quran we're reading today. Which is um Arabic? Yes. Okay. So one to truly understand what God revealed needs to learn Arabic, right? >> No. Well, it depends on what you mean by truly understand. So the Quran has meaning meaning. You can translate the meaning of the Quran into English, into Spanish, into any language. And you can teach it to the people. But, if you want to fully like of course when I fully understand something you have to read it in its original language. I'll give you an example. You can look at the Bible's translation, the English translation you're reading or not a full understanding of the Greek. The Greek is not the original even. The Greek is supposed to be a translation of Jesus's words cuz he spoke Aramaic. So, anyways the Bible is changed anyways. Nobody has the anything from the time of Jesus or anything from his words. All they have is anonymous authors that wrote years later and they're trying to restore what they said. Okay? But, it's written in Greek. Whatever is written in Greek you can have multiple translations with different wordings. If you want to fully understand you're going to have to read the Greek itself and the Hebrew itself, right? To fully understand the words of what is being said. That would apply to any scripture. In any language, right? Whatever language God revealed. But, the message that you need to learn to be a Muslim and to follow the religion can be translated. There's no problem. And anything can be explained to you. Like you can bring any verse now, any any any Hadith, any verse and I can explain it to you in English. There's a difference between explaining and translating. >> now Yeah. >> Yeah, right now I've only gotten the the Quran of course in English. I didn't know about the Hadith. >> Um Yeah, yeah. You don't need the Hadith for now because the Hadith is like there's a lot of Hadith. You have thousands of Hadith, tens of thousands here. This Hadith is explaining the Quran and is giving us the example of the prophet's life. And and you if you want to fully understand the Quran you want to become a Muslim, you start with the Quran. You first understand the Quran, you you message, you see if you agree with it, understand all its evidences. Then once you do that, you go to teachers and scholars who will explain to you the Hadith. Because the thing with the The thing with the Hadith is there are many things that layman cannot may maybe confused of. Reason being is because Hadith is what is the statements of the prophet. Now, many of the time if I said something, there's context to what I said, correct? So, a Hadith can be a statement I said, but it doesn't include the entire context. So, you will need other Hadith that also talk about the same thing, so you can have the full concept. So, what that's what scholars do. They combine all of the different Hadith, the different narration, and they explain to you the the history of the incidents, the reason of the incidents, and then things become clear. But, if someone just picks a book of Hadith and just reads it like this, it can get confused cuz you're missing the context in many verses. In many incidents, you you're missing the context of the narration. So, that's more advanced for you become a Muslim, and then we start explaining to you the the religion, right? >> I think I'll stick with reading the Quran for now. >> Yeah. Yeah, yeah, no, it's it's all starts with the you either you accept the Quran is from God or not. Once you accept the Quran is from God, then you go into practicing in your life a bit by bit. Like, no Muslim memorizes all the Hadith and understands all of them. That's not a requirement. Cuz so many. What is requirement is what what's to do with your day-to-day life. So, your beliefs and the things that are you going to do, like how you pray, how you fast, whatever you're going to engage in, that's what you need to learn about. Does that make sense? It does. I really appreciate your time today explaining this. >> Yeah, of course, of course. And and I'll give you Look, there's a video on my channel, you can watch it later on. I mean, when you're relaxing, you can watch it. It's called Compelling Evidences for the Truthfulness of Islam. Okay? You type You can type that, Compelling Evidences for Islam, and just put the name of the channel, The Muslim Lantern. Compelling Evidences for Islam. It should show up like a year or two ago. Yeah. Watch that video. I go through different types of evidence. Not everything, there's so many that I can go through. But, I go through some that was given to Muslims in a in a mosque in the US that time, but you can watch it as well, and you can understand it. And you will see the evidences, the many evidences that are there that we show for why Islam is 100% the truth. I'll give you some right now, but you can watch that for more if you if you need any more clarification. Is there anything else that you'd like to ask? Uh, no. I I think I got some good points today and I appreciate everyone also encouraging me to hop on. Thank you. >> Perfect. I'll I'll also actually recommend I'll also actually recommend to watch my last video. The last video I uploaded on the channel that is like a couple yesterday, I think. It's a great for you as a Christian to understand the reliability of the scripture you have. Is it Is it preserved or not from Christian scholars themselves? And like I'm really really happy for you. I I I Allah to keep you from It's really, really beautiful news, sister. 100% It's really, really I really appreciate you for sharing that. Yeah, no. I've been watching your videos like every single day >> [laughter] >> and you really did answer like all of my questions, so I felt in my heart that I should just like, you know, take my shahada because part of me I was like nervous. I was like maybe I should just wait once Ramadan's over and you know. Cuz it's a little overwhelming given like fasting, and praying, and all that. I felt like I had already put it in my heart, so I was like I think I should just say it out loud, so. Take it Take it slow. I I It's It's all Allah guiding you. You know, we're not doing anything. Allah is using us as as vehicles and Allah gives us sincerity. But, you know, take it slow. Don't Don't Don't push yourself. I know it's like first year still not familiar with so many things. Don't like over-burdening yourself too much with prayer, fasting, and everything at once that like things are becoming difficult for you. Take everything a step by step. Do whatever's in your capacity a bit by bit. And it's very important to try to have a connect to the community with people around you. That's why I'm trying to connect you with people as well. So, you can have people to support you, help you. And you know, our doors are open. Everyone is in the chat their doors are open as well to help you if you need anything. This is the email. I I you know, you probably have it, but this is the email. You can just uh send it and I'll have a look after the stream, inshallah, and I'll connect you with people. I'm really, really happy for you, sister. Is there any anything else that that you want to ask before uh I I Thank you. Thank you a lot for sharing that news. Is there anything that you want to ask? Yeah, I mean, I think they kind of answered for me in the chat, but I saw people like debating or um you know, mentioning differences between like Sunni and Shia, so I was just asking them what would I be Yeah. Like if someone were to ask me like what would I say? Sure. Sure. Sure. So, so I'll tell you you you are a Muslim. And a Muslim is someone who follows the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. That the hadith of the Prophet, his tradition, and his sunnah, and someone who follows the Quran. Now, if you want to know what the the the issues that some Shias believe today are the overwhelming majority of them. I have a very important video on my channel. It's it's like titles like dismantle Shiism or something. I'm talking to this lady who's a Shia. She's from a very like scholarly Shia family. She and her family there is Muhammad which are scholars of Shia and they were all trying to she was watching the videos she was realizing it's not true and they were all debating with her. So she was someone who's knowledgeable not not just some someone who doesn't know what's what's going on. She she spoke with people of knowledge. And she she spoke with me on the stream. Alhamdulillah she accepted Islam. She left Shiism basically because there are misguided sects in Shiism who worship other than Allah call upon dead people like Ali. Like you have people call upon Jesus they call upon Ali. They have this issue. So that's not what the Quran teaches us to do. So if you watch that video called dismantling Shiism I think it's about 40 minutes. What I do in that video is I show you the creeds of Shiism, right? All the creeds of Shiism. So they have the beliefs that they believe that are problematic and then I give evidences from the Quran. Only only from from the Quran actually mostly. Why? Because they believe in the same Quran. They may reject some of the Hadith but they they accept the Quran. So I'll say you both of you you believe in the Quran. Okay, you believe this but it's not in the Quran. You believe that and the Quran refutes it. So I show the creeds that they believe in and I show how the Quran refutes these ideas. I see. So so so Shiism is not orthodox Islam. A Muslim is someone who is a Muslim upon what the prophet believed what what what Allah told. Shiism is mainly about the lineage of the prophet and the people who came from that lineage and these 12 people and they're infallible and follow them and call upon dead people for help and things which are not teachings of Islam that developed later on. They did not come with the prophet. Prophet there was no such thing as a Shia at the time of the prophet. He didn't say he didn't say I'm Shia. Shia actually in Arabic just means a group of And they say Shia and they mean they are the group of Ali. They're the group of Ali. A group of person who's cousin of Prophet Muhammad Alayhi Wasallam. The Prophet had other cousins. Like we're not a group of any man. We are the submitters to God. That's what a Muslim is. And the followers of the messengers of God, like Prophet Muhammad. Anything else? Yeah, let me just ask you one last question. Um Sure. Then now that you know I've taken that big step in my Shahada, what would you say are like my main priorities right now that I should maybe focus on? Cuz I know everything says like by step by step. >> Yeah. So so it's it's it's really one thing you should focus on in the beginning. Which is to learn how to pray. You know, while you're reading the Quran and understanding it a bit by bit reading and translations. You need to learn how to pray. That's the main focus that you need to focus on. Right? You learn how to pray. And once you learn how to pray, you learn the other traditions of Islam, which is the charity given, the fasting, and the pilgrimage. The pillars of Islam. Just take them one by one. But start with the the prayer because you did your Shahada, right? We have five pillars. They start with the Shahada, you did it. Now you have the prayer. Then you learn about the Zakat, how to do the Zakat, which is an obligation one time a year if you're eligible. And then you have Ramadan, which comes once one month in every year. And then you would have pilgrimage, right? Which once in a lifetime if you're capable. Now you're going to learn these things. Once you understand these main basic things, then you can delve into more understanding of specific details of things. Like more exegesis of the Quran, what the Hadith is, what the explanations of scholars, stuff like this. Take your time. Don't delve into so much information where you like you go everywhere and start getting confused. A lot of people do that. And also don't overburden yourself with so much oh this halal is haram. I do this, I do that. No. If you do all of this is like things become difficult. Can I do this? Can I do that? Don't take things a bit by bit slowly. And if you hear something from someone, it's very important. Sometimes Muslims like this is haram. This is halal. Don't just take the word for it. A mistake that a lot of reverts do, they're like okay, this guy is born a Muslim or this girl is born a Muslim, she must be right. She's born in Islam, then what she's telling me, she must know what she's talking about. No, there's ignorant people in every tradition. They need to have They need to either be people of knowledge and trusted respected trusted people of knowledge, or they're they're giving you evidences. Like they're showing you verses of the Quran and Hadith and stuff like that. But mainly it should be people of knowledge. People who are trusted people of knowledge. And if you like resources, when you email me, I can send you some resources as well. Perhaps you can look into or if you have questions where to to to search for the answers for these questions. All right? All right. Thank you so much everyone and All right, no worries. Please email me like I said and I'll connect you inshallah straight after the the live stream. All right? All right. Thank you. All right. Thank you Ashley for giving us that beautiful news. May Allah keep you firm on the truth. All right, bye-bye. See you. Bye. As-salamu alaykum.
