Dear viewers, you're watching a special interview with a scholar, you know, joining us from a delegation who visited Afghanistan to, you know, evaluate the situation, the challenges, and to see the, you know, unheard facts about Afghanistan. We have Dr. Aska Muhammad Kabara, the head or director of the ADF organization. Most welcome to Afghanistan. Thank you for joining us in this special interview. First of all, could you please share information about your visit to Kabul in overall Afghanistan? Okay, first of all, um we come here to Kabul, Afghanistan through an official visit by our NGO which is called Federation of the Associations that Value humanity. IDEIV is an international organization used to offer humanitarian aid across the world. It has the base in Istanbul, Turkey. I used to be their director in Nigeria over seven years ago. I engage in providing humanitarian aid and educational support to the people of Nigeria as an as a director of uh EDIF. We executed a lot of projects in Nigeria under the uh this uh organization. We used to provide water wells. We used to provide free education and support. We used to even build schools and mocks. We used to provide Ibam humanitarian aids in terms of foods, distribute to hospitals, to orphanage, to mocks and to less free village. uh this year our organizations that is IDIF organized an international conference >> Mhm. >> that held place in Istanbul Turkey. >> Mhm. >> Last week we attend the organ the the conference and we discussed several issues regarding the human development around the world. When we visited Turkey, we visited several precances to show how the NGO used to support the people of Turkey in terms of provision of quality education. This led to this visit to Afghanistan so that we can come here and see how this organization contributes to the development of the people of uh Afghanistan and the nation itself. So we came here and we visited a lot of project executed by EDIP in Afghanistan especially in the city of Kabul. We visited a lot of schools openage mocks and other places. So this is the reason of our visit here in uh to Afghanistan in Kabul. >> Thank you so much. Uh you might have visited a lot of leaders of the Islamic Emirate. >> Exactly. >> So you might have talked, you might have held conversations as well. So would you tell us what topics did you talk about and what were the main discussions >> with the leaders of the Islamic Emirate >> as the dele as a delegate who represent a great organization who engage in supporting education. Our discussion is merely on education. How you know the government of Afghanistan used to support educational programs. how the scholars of a of a of Afghanistan used to teach you know the people of a of of a of Afghanistan in a well manner especially the way they are teaching the you know the people of of Afghanistan it is purely you uh Islamic heritage way and they used to teach them in peaceful manner which contain or entails the uh Arabic and Islamic studies. >> Mhm. So we saw how they used to organize their schools, how the students has a comfortable places for learning and how the teachers are you know following a good method of teaching and we saw how these schools provide teaching aids Especially books >> is very interesting. Anywhere we go, we find the students of such schools, they have enough books posted >> around Afghanistan. >> Around Afghanistan and the schools that that are within the Kabul >> Mhm. >> they have a libraries. >> Mhm. >> They have a classes. >> Mhm. And they have also a host. But even in the host the books are there. The books are also in the classes for reading and also they provide a lot of books in the libraries. This can engage the student on how they can you know make themselves scholars by reading and reading over. M so this is very interesting. So we discuss things that are related to education especially the method that they are using to teach their students and also we discuss about how you know the system is helping the country as we saw now uh you can say there There is no any person in Afghanistan that is not going to school. >> Mhm. >> Yeah. >> We saw children going to schools, men and women. >> This is another interesting things. >> Yeah. >> Because to our knowledge Afghanistan it was a nation where especially women >> Mhm. have no right to go to school, have no right to have so many uh social amenities to interact. But when we come here, we find that women >> Mhm. >> since from the childhood. >> Yeah. >> They used to go to school. >> Mhm. >> Thank you so much. >> Governments they supports them. >> Thank you so much. How important is the relationship between uh the relationship of mutual respect between the other Islamic world countries and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan? Cuz you have been here for several days. >> Yeah. The relationship uh between the Afghanistan nation and other Islamic nation is very cordial because the country we came we visited before we came here which is Turkey where we attend an international conference. It has a cordial relationship with Afghanistan. That is why the EDIP organization, you know, organized this visit and we have it now. But maybe some other Islamic countries and the countries uh at large, they used to see Afghanistan in one way or the other. Mhm. >> Because of the rumor that taking place within the you know media uh practice >> Mhm. >> controlled by western organizations. >> They used to blackmail a good name of Afghanistan. Mhm. Even Muslim countries they are ling Afghanistan as you know a battle settlement a place where there is no civilization. A place where you know uh human being are not given right >> to exercise their you know social rights. >> Yeah. So most of the countries they used to see Afghanistan you know from that direction but alhamdulillah as we came here we find it's so different so different from you know the rumor that is circulating or by media houses >> you mean there is something different what what the people say what the you know uh the so-called media People say outside of the country they they talk negatively about Afghanistan but what you have seen you know it was more positive. >> Exactly. Is quite different. >> Afghanistan is a very you know uh splendid country. >> Yeah. >> In terms of different uh things from different angles. Afghanistan is a nation where education is given priority. >> Yes. >> As I said, as we saw, you know, along the way. >> Mhm. >> Even childrens go outside. >> Mhm. >> Ladies and gentlemen, they are going to the schools. M >> so they give priority on educating their people. >> Thank you so much. >> Everywhere you go the school they provide schools and this these NOS's used to you know support the government >> in the provisioning of schools and other uh educational uh supports. >> Thank you so much. uh in managing you know the ongoing crisis in the region especially in the Islamic countries. What is the role of a scholar or what what is the role of the entire scholars of the Islamic world? um scholars has a role to play in managing the crisis within the Islamic world especially uh in the countries where these medias are blackmailing their names. >> Mhm. Afghanistan is is included. The role of scholars here is as we saw here in Afghanistan. >> Mhm. >> The scholars used to teach in a peaceful manner used to guide their students on how they can keep peace and unity among you know Islamic community. So by keeping such teaching by keeping such teaching to the uh students >> the student will be oriented toward peaceful community and when they finish the school they will go to interact with other communities. they can practice such good teaching among the communities. >> Yes. >> So through that way I think scholars are contributing towards peace, harmony and unity not among only Muslim communities but the world over. So they have to keep teaching their student towards peaceful and harmony. >> You mean they have a vital role in managing the ongoing crisis especially in Islamic countries? >> Exactly. Exactly. Scholars has a vital role to play. >> What kind of image did you have in your mind before coming to Afghanistan and what you have seen and what are you going to take back while getting out of Afghanistan? As I said before, uh this western media, they blackmail the name of Afghanistan in terms of you know uh the issue of terrorism. >> Mhm. >> But uh when we came here we find it is quite different. Afghanistan is about how they can develop their country. >> Mhm. >> How they can help their citizens to have a good life. >> Mhm. >> Afghanistan is a peaceful country. >> Mhm. Afghanistan it rules by you know a government where they used to provide social amenities >> to their communities. >> Whereas they used to provide good education to their communities >> whereas they used to provide even economic you know activities here. >> Thank you. What message are you going to take back? You didn't tell me about the message because you >> I have a lot and I experience a lot >> and I acquired a lot of things >> that if I go back to my country, >> I will tell my people and I will express it to the world over. First of all, the people of Afghanistan, they are peaceful people. >> Mhm. by the way they show us a generosity >> by the way they accept us. >> Mhm. >> So secondly, Afghanistan is not a people is not a country of you know battling. It's a peaceful country. >> Yeah it is. As we saw by our eyes, Afghanistan is a place where they engage in educational, you know, activities. >> Mhm. >> Especially how we saw uh their system of education, >> it's quite different from other Islamic countries because the system is starting from the background. >> Yes. from the background elementary >> to you know uh primary to secondary >> up to the level of university. >> Thank you. You held talks with scholars a lot around you know with the entire country or especially in the capital Kabul. Yes. So what were the main topics you talked about with the Afghan scholars? M Afghan scholars, you know, they we talk about how they used to orient students in in Afghanistan >> through a peaceful manner and how you know the government used to interen >> used to help in the forbidden education in Afghanistan and also So we discuss about how they can start you know collaborating. >> Mhm. and you know uh integrating the Islamic education with even the modern educational system so that the student graduated from Jamia Islamia can have al opportunities to proceed with their you know education even abroad they can in they can you know participate in different uh you know different uh parts of the uh activities such as political >> Mhm. >> social. >> Mhm. >> And what have you so different you know uh uh disciplines. >> Thank you so much. Because they used to they used to now upgrade the level of education to reach the level where the graduated student can walk anywhere >> can teach anywhere can have the capacity for having a good life. >> Thank you. not only in Islamic education but also to be integrated with modern education system. >> Okay. Uh to what extent are the rumors or the negotiations or you can say the talks held about Afghanistan, how do you see how much are they reality or how are they based on reality or they are fake? >> To my understanding the rumor is false. Mhm. >> is not good at all because as we saw with our eyes >> Mhm. As we visited different places, >> as we interact with people of Afghanistan, we find this very very different from what so-cal you know media houses are expressing because Afghanistan people they are so social. Afghanistan people they are so civilized. >> Afghanistan people they are peaceful. people. >> Yes. >> Afghanistan people they used to use our their their time >> Mhm. >> for having you know occupation. >> Yes. >> There is no I I never saw a single Afghanistan person who is living without occupation. >> Mhm. >> Either he's going to school >> Yes. >> or either he's going to market >> Mhm. or he is doing something which can make him to be you know productive. >> As a final question, it's you know it needs a short answer. What's your message to the scholars in Afghanistan and all over the world? >> My message to the scholars of Afghanistan, it's not a raza to maintain the status quo. The system they are using in teaching student here is acceptable and I can say I gives them excellent >> as the way they used to teach. >> Thank you so much >> because they teach you know the the the original the foundation of Islamic teaching. So I have nothing to say about this rather than to make a thanks to them. >> Mhm. >> And also to the government of Afghanistan. >> Thank you so much. >> How they used to provide social amenities, infrastructures. We used to see here and there they used to construct roads. They provide you know shelter. They pro buy schools just to make their community to develop. >> This is very amazing. Afghanistan as I see it uh it is growing to the level of developing countries. >> Appreciate it. >> And even in the area of agriculture, >> thank you so much. >> Afghanistan is very good. >> Thank you so much.
