All right, so let's go straight to the point. Guys, there's a new document which has the new regulations for the DV 2027. Beginning DV 2027 and DV 2027 is going to happen this year as well as DV 2028. So, this time the blessing is double. That means you have double chances of winning DV lottery. So, I spoke to a friend about this good news. Previously, she gave up on DV lottery, but she has decided to what? Apply this time. All right, so let's go straight to the point. So, there's a document shared by Department of State. So, I'm not going to waste my time and talk. What I'm going to do is to share my laptop screen and go straight to the point so that the video doesn't what? Become very long. All right, so this the document is being shared on what? federalregister.gov. Just go to federalregister.gov, Google it and when you go there, just search visas enhancing, vetting, and combating fraud in the diversity visa program. So, the main reason for the new regulations, number one, is to regulate what? Fraud. It looks like most each year the the Department of State encounter a lot of fraud applications. So, they are making new regulations to combat that act. All right, so let's go to the summary. Let's read the summary about It's a whole long document. So, what I'm going to do is that I'm going to pin the the whole document a link to this document in the comment section of this video. So, guys, check the comment section. Have time read. I'm just going to I'm just going to show you the important points, then you you yourself, even if somebody's applying on your behalf, make sure you are reading this document. All right, so this is a summary of the whole long document. So, the Department of State is amending regulations com- governing the diversity visa program to improve the integrity of and combat fraud. These amendments require a better petition of a DV program to provide valid unexpired. So, regulation number one, they want to combat fraud. So, the new regulation number one is what? You need a what? Un- valid and unexpired passport. You need a travel passport this time in order for you to uh participate in DV 2027. So, that means the good news is that previous years or DV 2026, approximately 20 million people applied. And the When the more people apply, that means you have less chances of what? Winning. The last time they they they made a new rule concerning passport, just 6 to 8 8 million. Just 6 to 8 million. So, if few people are applying, that means you have a higher chance of what? Winning the DV lottery and that is the good news. All right, so and you need to You're going to upload your travel passport. This is the bio data or the bio form of your passport, which is where your picture, your date of birth, all your information is. That is what you're going to upload and they need that document in JPEG format. Only J P E G format to upload. And you're also going to upload what? Your passport picture. And as usual, what is the size? 600 by 600 with a what? A white background. That is what you going to use to apply for DV 2027 as well as DV what? 2028. So, with the DV 2028, it's advisable that you don't use the same picture to which you used for DV 2027. Don't use the same picture for Try and take new picture. It does not cost that much. Um You're going to pay it through pay.gov. So, this is the pay.gov page as I'm showing on my screen. This is where the link will bring you for you to make payment using your MasterCard or what? >> [laughter] >> Or your your Visa card. Or if you have PayPal or Venmo, you can make payment. So, guys, let's scroll down and read more. So, this new update is going to be effective on what? Um April 10th, 2026. That is when it's going to be effective. So, it shows you that DV 2027 might take off after this date. And the guess is that we are we are guessing that DV 2027 will start or will commence on April 15th, which is my I salute my boss, which is EBM Scholars. All right, so So, this is the just a data of what? Um the DV program year, 2016, 13 11 million people applied. They selected 91 91,000 and they issued 46,718. So, the last year was 2025, 19 million people applied and 2024 23 million. Yeah. So, more people apply, they select few and they issue visa for few people. So, that is how it works. So, guys, let me scroll down and um go and check the basic ones, the best information. So, yes, so this is the entry fee. So, as I said earlier, have time guys, have time and read this site. Let me go straight to the $1 application fee. So, every information I'm giving you is not from me. It's from the Department of State. So, guys, let's go here. So, all applicants seeking to participate in the DV program must pay $1 fee at the time of submitting their entry and no waivers. You cannot They cannot waive it for you. Every applicant must pay $1 application fee. And um um Uh so, this fee allows Department of State fairly distribute the rising cost and managing the DV program. DV program. All right, so um Yeah, so guys, so as I said earlier, the only way you can make this this payment is through what? Your Visa card or MasterCard or PayPal as well as what? Venmo. As well as Venmo. So, they will ask of your education proof and as usual, you need the um at least a minimum of what? High school or diploma to participate in this. Yes, English proficiency. At least you should be able to read and write English. And if you are selected and you said you are married, when you go for the interview, you need to prove your marriage certificate. All right.
