Hi kids. Welcome to Mr. Book and Me stories, where stories and creativity come alive. Have you ever climbed something so tall that the clouds touched your face? Jack did. And what he found at the top changed [music] his life forever. Long, long ago, in a tiny [music] quiet village, lived a poor widow and her only son, a cheerful, hopeful boy named Jack. But life was not easy. Their roof leaked, their cupboard was often empty, and their only valuable possession was a gentle cow named Milky. One morning, Milky stopped giving milk. >> [music] >> Oh, Jack, we can't survive like this. You must take Milky [music] to the market and sell her. Mother, I'll I'll sell Milky today. Maybe someone will take good care of her. It hurts me to say [music] it, Jack, but we must. I'm sorry, my boy. Carrying tears and courage together, Jack started walking toward the village market. Then, a strange old man appeared. Well, hello, young lad. Why the long face? I'm selling my cow. We barely have anything at home. We we need money. Instead of money, take these five magic beans. They carry miracles. Plant them [music] tonight. Have faith, boy. I trust you. Here, take Milky. Thank you. He ran home excited, bursting to tell his mother everything. Mother, I didn't sell Milky for money. I got something better. Look, magic beans. Jack, you foolish boy. Magic beans? Nonsense. We need food, not foolish dreams. Mother throws the beans out the window, turns away, and sinks into a chair. That night, Jack cried quietly and fell asleep with a sadness he didn't have words for. But the magic beans, they began to glow beneath [music] the soil. By morning, a towering beanstalk spirals into the clouds. Mother, come outside, please. This This is amazing. Oh my goodness. Jack, what have you done? It's real. The magic is real. Jack's curiosity was stronger, and up, up, up he climbed. At the top, Jack found a magical land covered in misty clouds and a golden path. Jack then followed the path until he reached a huge castle-like mansion. That castle, it's huge. I hope someone kind lives here. Jack knocks gently on the giant [music] wooden door. Oh, a tiny boy? What brings you here, dear? I'm hungry, ma'am. Could you please give me a little food? Oh, you poor child. Come in quickly. Eat before my husband returns. Thank you, ma'am. You're very kind. Suddenly, the ground shakes. Thud, thud, thud. Oh, no. He's home. Hide, child. Hide fast. Jack panics and crawls behind a huge cup bigger than him. Fee, fi, fo, fum. I smell the blood of an Englishman. Ugh, you and your nose. You smell the wind, not a person. Sit down and eat. Fine. fine. I'm starving. He sits and eats a mountain of food. After finishing, he roars. Hen, come here. Lay me golden eggs. I must obey. The golden hen walks forward. Clink. A shiny golden egg drops. Giant places the hen back in a cage. He stomps to his giant bed and falls asleep instantly. Boy, come out quickly. Listen, this hen is not his. He stole her. Take her before he wakes. Please, rescue me. I don't belong here. I just want to live safely, not in a cage. I'll keep you safe. Thank you, ma'am. Run, boy. Run fast. If he wakes up, neither of us will be safe. Jack races out of the castle holding the golden hen tightly. And he quickly climbs down the beanstalk. >> [music] >> Days later, everything was about to change. There's one more thing I must do. That golden harp. It was crying for help. He [music] climbed up the beanstalk again, stepped into the castle, and there he saw it. The golden harp. Oh, little boy, please rescue me. I fear the giant every day. I'll take you home. I promise. But just as Jack lifted the harp, a loud stomp echoed through the castle. You again? >> [clears throat] >> How dare you come back? Oh, no, he's here. I I have to run quickly. Jack ran out of the castle, heart pounding as the giant thundered behind him. Give me back my harp. And the wild chase began. Jack raced across the cloud floor, the harp in his arms singing nervously. He's right behind us. Jack, please hurry. Jack grabbed the beanstalk and [music] slid down quickly. But this time, the giant managed to climb down after him. I'm not done with you. You can't escape me, boy. Mother, Mother, bring the axe. Jack, what's happening? The axe. Yes, I have it. Jack reached the ground and raised the axe. Chop, chop, chop. No! Stop! Don't cut it! The beanstalk falls. The giant tumbles down far, far away. And disappears forever. You came back, dear child. You came back. We're safe [music] now, thanks to you, Jack. And peace [music] has returned. This is our new beginning. And all this from a few magic beans. Courage leads to wonderful things, especially when it is guided by kindness.
