Welcome back for the third time And I'm glad you can still bear it No, we are still following through in sha Allah Because when we spoke yesterday about
“Personal Development and Coaching”, I thought you wouldn’t come back No, it isn’t
It's important to get back to this because I've heard a lot about it before So I would like to hear your opinion Well, listen that's a pretty big issue In order to speak about Personal Development and Coaching we must go back a little How much?
Almost seven thousand years
- Seven thousand years?
-Yes almost This means that we go back to the pharaohs
No, before that… before that - We go back to Iraq?
- Ancient civilizations,
ancient Eastern philosophies, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, and so on All these philosophies,
or let's not use the word "philosophies" Since the appearance of
humans and the human soul the Human being began thinking We believe it started since Adam came down [from heaven] and the revelation coming down to him He [the human being] gradually started straying away and then repented
and prophecies [were sent] and so on People who do not believe in this say: there was a person This person has been subjected to many challenges
and changes, so philosophies started Including Hinduism and so on all centralized around the human being “You are such a great thing! If you progressed, contemplated a bit,
focused a bit It is possible to rise and unite with the supreme energy controlling the universe” This gave rise to "The Secret" and “Law of Attraction” Which claims that you can ask the universe for anything
and it will manifest it for you This -after passing by the distorted Christianity- resurged in the form of "extremist Sufism"
and "heretical Sufism" In the concept of “Unity of Being” And that there is a part
of God in me and so on Why do I say this?
And how does it relate to Personal Development and Coaching? The problem with Personal Development and Coaching is that it
brought together contradictory things You find that it brings
you a verse from the Qur’an combined with some wisdom
of distorted Hinduism Or of distorted Christianity Or part of pantheism Then introduces it to you in a single package and that's what coined an important term that upsets some people
"charlatanry" What do I mean by that? Charlatanry is similar to sorcery but in a little more detail... Charlatanry is that I offer you a meal with a small amount of healthy food and a large amount of junk,
but I put them in one meal and present them to you as one thing. So you identify the healthy part and do not deny it such as the “Energy of the
most beautiful names of Allah” You think : “The Most Beautiful
Names of Allah!, I know that. And they are holy.
So, what’s wrong?” “and ‘energy’
we learned about it in physics!” Of course, this ‘energy’ has nothing to do with
physics. Each is different from the other. Right? that’s where the word "charlatanry" came from There’s a lot of charlatanry in “Personal Development and Coaching” So, after this rapid historical flashback Oriental philosophies with distortions from here and there with some Western movements arising from the remnants of ancient philosophies The so-called "New Age Movement" And before that “theosophy”,
reaching the currently arising movements in the form of so-called “Personal Development and Coaching” Is Personal Development and Coaching an
extension of all this? Personal Development and Coaching
is an extension of all this deliberately or not,
so that we are fair What I mean is that some people who work in Personal
Development and Coaching may say: “This man is misjudging me,
I’ve never heard of Hinduism" That’s true, as you are one of the fools who boarded this ship Without knowing; Who is the captain? Who are the passengers?
What is its destination? What does it do? But you use the same words Say: “I am strong,
I am strong. I am strong” “Look at the mirror and
say: I trust myself... I trust myself” Or say: “I can do it, I can do it…” This speech calls for
the centrality of the human The word "self-confidence"
-we will talk about it maybe later on- "I trust myself."
No, dear, your self is weak. As in the prayer of the Prophet (Do not leave me to myself for the blink of an eye) And you say: I trust in what
I do not want to rely on What a contradiction! There is a
difference between "I trust in the Lord" and "I trust myself" Back to the term “Personal Development and Coaching” The term “Personal Development and Coaching” must be distinguished
from the term “Human Resources Development” Human resources development is a specialization
in management and economics and has nothing to do with “Personal Development and Coaching” that tries to
present the human as the central being with superpowers that “I develop myself by myself” “I am a human who's able
to do everything by myself” Personal Development and Coaching took a bit
of psychology, a bit of sociology, a bit of math, a bit of linguistics, and so on, which produced NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) for example, It put them all together and
offered people what they are searching for And all of this is not new From the early 20th century, There was an economic
crisis in the Western world Then some people started coming out and saying: “How to become
a millionaire in a short time?” Books of this kind have become widespread
This is the current trend now, you have
a defeated nation and lost youth So it [Personal Development and Coaching] became
the profession for zero-skilled people -as I usually say- He reads two or three best-selling books Sees one of the icons of Personal Development and Coaching in an impressive suit exclusively booking business-class
and first-class tickets and earning $10,000 a day Then comes to say: “Well, I can do that too.” “Why should I wait till I study and graduate from university and so on?” That's when it gets serious And on top of that,
Personal Development and Coaching in this way is leading people away from religion But to be objective -because I told you
that I will say its pros and cons- The Pros of Personal Development and Coaching are: Unfortunately, it filled gaps that the school, home, and
university didn’t fill How so? There are many things taught in Personal Development and Coaching,
which we should’ve learned at home, Choosing a life partner for example You learn it in Personal Development and Coaching Professional interviewing You learn it in Personal Development and Coaching workshops.
You should’ve learned it at home, at school or at university. Unfortunately, it filled a gap
that should’ve been filled elsewhere Second: it broke the vanity of
people; to sit and learn again After believing that graduating from university made them
too knowledgeable to learn anything new Third: It -unintentionally-
brought some people to religion When they hear their words they
would say: This exists in our religion There is a Quranic verse saying this,
why don’t I pray instead of doing yoga and all this? On the other hand, there are cons [for personal development and coaching]. Although it filled some gaps,
but it did not provide knowledge on the contrary, it produced rattling charlatans One of them says arrogantly on Egyptian satellite channels “Eat whatever you want, if the subconscious is not
convinced that you will get fat, you won’t ” "Did you know I can make
you breathe underwater?" "There are people in Russia who made
others breathe underwater and I personally know them" "These were hidden matters nobody knew about ."
- Then how did you know about it? Well, just ignore. He says anything
And the host just nods without understanding anything For example, one of them says: "I discovered something new
that if you read the Qur’an every day five times in twenty-one days it could cause profound changes and prevent magic and jinn." From where did you get this? Can you corroborate your claims?
And much more nonsense, so there is charlatanry Second: In exchange for the
vanity that was broken by learning In fact, nothing was broken.
He read two or three books and then became arrogant going home to tell his parents
"you don't understand anything. You taught us everything incorrectly" He doesn't like religious scholars Or university doctors, he's the know-it-all person Especially in front of three or four thousand people who cannot think for themselves and just applaud Third, unfortunately the loss of religion Personally,
a lot of people came to my clinic who lost their religion
because of Personal Development and Coaching Is that because it contains remnants
of other religions like you said? This is not necessarily the case, it is sufficient that it lacks both
the scientific method and the religious method Let alone influences from other areas Meaning that, on top of including remnants from distorted stuff It is presented without a scientific method For example, someone says: "Believe in yourself, you know why?
Because when you trust yourself you trust in your Lord because
within you is part of Him" What!! You thus included part of Unity of Existence... And if you tell this speaker that there are
remnants of Hinduism in his speech he will say: “You are accusing me” And by that, you really misjudged
him because he didn't know But he came to be like that
intentionally or not A woman once came to my clinic, saying: “Why do I need the Lord?
I ask the universe and my vibrations meet those of the
universe and it responds” A chief charlatan in the Arabian Gulf, who introduced many
charlatans in the region Someone sent him on Twitter: “You're such a good man I hope God guides you to be beneficial for everyone” He replied: “In my world, I make my own world and I do not need prayers from anyone..” We’ve reached this stage! This same man once wrote on Twitter: “There are aliens but you don't know them I'm the only one who can feel them” Another woman is very famous
Perhaps he is a wali Another famous woman says: “There are jinn who come to my house” But to conclude with a practical
recommendation, what do I want? Know who you are dealing with Always examine the
messenger and the message Speaking of messenger, when
Prophet Muhammad first received the revelation, the first thing tested was his honesty and faithfulness You have to know whether this person in
front of you is honest and faithful Or his certificate is forged and
from an university with no real recognition A university in California where you get a degree
within six months while sitting in your house Doctorate in Biofield therapies or so Does this mean that if some
of these people are bad or are faking academic degrees that the field itself is bad as a whole? When most of the field relies
on a non-scientific curriculum and false studies... I once challenged someone on a satellite channel
to show us just one academic study He promised to respond to me since five years
and hasn’t so far No reply, so it's a non-scientific approach Unfortunately, the outcome is indeed frustrating We find someone who wants
to achieve a lot and a lot and couldn’t do so,
eventually becoming frustrated And there are scientific studies,
which I can provide you with, Proving that
most people who repeat "I'm fine, the nation is
doing fine, I'm wonderful, if I say five times every
day that I'm good...." are more susceptible to depression
and frustration than others. These are scientific studies - That's because we raised expectations - And reduced what is known
as psychological immunity In this case the immune
system has decreased You say: There is no disease, There is no disease... So, your immunity weakens then the slightest infection can destroy the entire body
because there is no immunity So I would recommend that when
you read a person's resume or you see an ad, be aware of words like
"professional trainer" and "global trainer" Someone once told me: “Doctor, you are a global trainer.”
I said, Why? “Because if you trained in three
continents you become a global trainer” I said to him: Who told you so?
He said: So-and-so
I said: Forget it Someone wrote about me
being a professional trainer I told him I am not a coach. Do you see me playing in Barcelona or Real or what?
What does it mean to be a professional trainer? My advice is to verify the credentials of the person training you You have to know where
that person came from, what his experience is and
what his academic degree is he speaks about marital happiness,
how is his marriage going? he speaks about job interviews,
has he worked for a company before? After that, judge the
scientific method he’s presenting Is he presenting a scientific method?
Is he using Hadiths and Quranic verses? Does he speak with knowledge and in a scientific language? Otherwise we're being unjust towards ourselves. Will the upcoming sessions enable us to distinguish between the useful
and the bad we hear in Personal Development and Coaching? Insha'Allah, starting tomorrow
when we get into the introduction to proper reasoning, and how to reason, it will be much clearer. What I can reason
and what I can refuse after I reason? But this needs another session. A market that speaks about the self and solves
problems is a big market with lots of goods So, What's the added value we’re supposed to see in the upcoming sessions? This is what we can start
with tomorrow in sha Allah What is Fiqh-An-Nafs (Doctrine of the Self) which we speak of? This needs a dedicated session We will postpone it to tomorrow’s visit
In sha' Allah - Insha'Allah
Thank you Doctor You’re welcome
