If you enjoy then please like, share and do comments and also check the description to Origal creator of this beautiful creation. Moiha and Hashiama send you friends turned enemies, enemies turned allies and allies turned co-founders of the village hidden in the leaves. After a dispute led to these two titans falling out of favor with each other, they had a massive battle. The land between the land of fire and the land of sound was their battleground. So destructively massive was their battle that it created a valley so large and wide that it became a scar upon the very earth itself. This scar would soon come to be known as the valley of the end. To memorialize the legendary combatants that carved this valley into existence, two enormous statues were erected on opposing sides. Moa on the left and Hashiama on the right. Both making the traditional Shinobi sparring seal of confrontation to show that even though the warriors had passed, they were still locked in a never-ending battle. Now, many years later, two more warriors find this place as the site for their final battle. Satsuki Uchiha, last living member of the Uchiha clan and Narut Uzuaki, son of the Yandai Hokag and Genturiki of the Kaubi Nokitsun. After joining the battle and defeating Obito Uchiha and the revived Moa, both Narut and Satsuki ended up fighting the mother of Chakra herself, Kagaya Osatsuki. After a grueling multi-day battlefilled dimension hopping, improvised plans, near-death experiences, and self-sacrifice, Narut and Satsuki, with the aid of their former sensei and teammate, Kakashi Hitaki and Sakura Haruno were finally able to defeat Kagaya by sealing her inside a moon, forever, trapping her in another dimension. After being brought back to their own dimension by the Rikudo Sen and learning what they needed to do to undo the infinite sukuyomi, Narut and Satsuki put their signs together to undo the powerful Genjutsu. What was supposed to be the final act to close off the fourth great ninja war was a mere prelude to the true battle that would decide the fate of the elemental nations. Not satisfied with just helping to win the war and freeing the nations, Satsuki wanted more. She saw the elemental nations as a failure and the five cage were to blame. She sought a revolution to become a cruel tyrant and rule with a bloodied iron fist. By doing this and giving humanity a lightning rod to focus all of their hatred on, they would have a common enemy and could once again unify to bring down that enemy in her version of peace. But to do this, she needed the current cage to be dead. Before she could carry out her scheme, she was opposed by the one person who could stop her, her former teammate, Narut. Knowing she would have to do away with him if she ever hoped to carry out her revolution, she challenged him to a fight. No spectators to get in their way and no holding back. This would be their final duel, both to decide the destiny of the world and to settle their long-running score. The stage was set. She stood at top the statue of her past life as Nar did his. The blonde tried one more time to talk her out of her plan, but it was for not. She already decided that this was her path, one where the only person she would ever consider a friend could not follow. The battle began. They started out with Taiutsu, but it didn't take long before they started to bring out their most destructive techniques to one up the other. After hours of battle, which left the monumental landscape in ruins, it came down to the final blow. Satsuki standing at top the wall. Her left hand blazing with her signature technique with the added black flames of her Kagatsuchi and Narut standing at top the water's surface. His right hand extended but vacant of any counterattack. With the last of her strength, she launched from the wall. 1,000 birds chirping in her hand, intent on ending her one-time comrade. She watched him push off from the ground to meet her head on. The closer he got, the more she saw his father's signature technique come to life. By the time they were a hair's breadth apart, the spiraling sphere was fully formed. But it didn't matter. She would win. She had to win. With a roar from both combatants, Chidori met Rengon in an epic clash of power. Satsuki cursed under her breath, for they were once again in a stalemate. It seemed that no matter how hard, she could never break the deadlock. Not this time. I won't lose to him. I have to win. I have to. With a roar, she pushed every bit of chakra she had left into her attack. And for a split second, she felt her technique rupture his before everything went white with an explosion. In the few moments before her world became dark, she looked into Naruto's eyes, and all she could see were pain and acceptance. A blond-haired young man was lying in the rubble, what was once the hand of his former life. His swollen cerulean eyes were looking up at the starry nighttime sky and the puffy blue tinted clouds. He took a breath and his crimson vital fluid came rushing out of his mouth in the form of a coughing fit. Not even bothering to wipe the blood from his lips. He groaned and tilted his head to look at the bloody stump where his right arm used to be. It felt strange, for even though he could see that the limb was no longer there, the pain he was feeling almost made him believe otherwise. The body on top of him shifted, and he had to bite his lip to keep from groaning in pain. Looking up, he saw his weward teammate lying on top of him with her head resting on his chest, her raven locks fluttering in the breeze. A small chuckle left his mouth. Who'd have thought that after all of that that this is how we'd end up? Using a little of his remaining strength, and ignoring the throbbing pain in his torso, he lifted his remaining arm and wrapped it around her waist to pull her closer. A small smile spread across his bruised face when he felt her snuggle even more into his chest. That smile fell when he glanced at where her left hand was, buried inside his torso in between the bones of his rib cage and where his right lung used to be. He pllopped his head on the rubble, acting as a pillow, and let out a long, painful breath. The things I do for the people I love. Placing those thoughts at the further reaches of his mind, he closed his eyes and got comfortable in the odd but peaceful embrace with the sleeping Uchiha. Inside the seal, Kurama watched the scene with a sad small smile on his muzzle. His container had used up every bit of chakra in his coils for that last fight. And on top of having no chakra left, he had lost too much blood from his injuries. But all of that was superficial when compared to the gaping hole in his torso. The only reason he was even still alive was because he was too stubborn to let death's cold fingers take him just yet. But he knew the great beast knew that it wouldn't last. Nar will die. The kitsoon wished he could do something. Anything to keep the blonde from meeting the shinagami so soon, but unfortunately there was nothing he could do. Most of his remaining chakra was stolen by that girl during the fight. And the little he had left, he gave it to Nar so he could match her for the final blow. So right now, he was in the same emaciated, weak state he was left in when Nar forcefully took his chakra from him. Looking toward the roof of Naruto's mindscape, he could see that it was slowly but surely starting to deteriorate. Nar, the echo from his despared was even more deafening than the silence. When he got no response, the beast looked down and his large ears fell in sadness for the first time since his father died. Lying down on the water-covered ground, Kurama closed his eyes and waited, not wanting to witness the death of the only human who he will always be proud to call his friend. The chilled winds of the night's cold stirred the sleeping young lady from her slumber. Just like any other time, the task of waking up came with the added work of wiping the groggginess out of her eyes and letting out a yawn. Unlike any other time, however, she didn't have an arm wrapped around her when she woke up. Nighty night, sleeping beauty. Enjoy your beauty rest. Still not fully awake, Satsuki looked at him with a puzzled expression before her mind finally caught up with their position. She was lying on top of him in a position that one could look at and believe that they were an intimate couple. It didn't help that the state of the clothing made it look like they just got done being very intimate. It took every ounce of her willpower to keep her face from resembling her favorite fruit. Not something easy to do when his face was only a few inches away from hers. She heard him snickering at her expense. Even after all this time, you still have that cute blushy age. Tomatochan. The former Kona Hakunoichi pouted at the nickname he had given her many years ago. It wasn't her fault that tomatoes were so delicious. She tried to get off of him, but his arm was firmly locked around her waist. She tried moving her arms, and that's when she realized where one of them were. Surprise gave way to concern as she turned to face the smiling blonde. Nar for some reason that she couldn't explain. She felt tears pulling up behind her eyes. She had won. She had won, but at what cost? When she issued the death match, she didn't feel a damn thing. She was going to kill him to keep him out of her way. Simple, right? But now that she achieved that, her stomach was doing flips at the thought of him taking his last breath. So, Satsuki, you won. Huh? Are you Are you happy now? Was it worth it? She could hear the shakiness in his voice and knew that his time was quickly expiring. The dam behind her eyes was beginning to crack as liquid began to trickle out. You idiot. You stupid idiot. Why would you go that far just to get in my way? Nar didn't answer, only keeping the smile on his face. I did all of that, everything just to distance myself from everyone. But you, you wouldn't leave me alone. You wouldn't forget about me like everyone else. And now, because of that, you're going to. Tears were now freely flowing out of her eyes. She laid her face on his chest, and in a shaky whisper, she asked, "Why? Why, damn it, wouldn't you just let me go? You're pretty cute when you're angry, you know that? Rather than being embarrassed at his words, she looked at him with irritation. Answer me, damn it. Nar laughed in response to her outburst. You haven't changed a bit. You're still that feisty, stubborn, hard-headed little brat you were all those years ago. His comment only served to fan the flames of her growing eye. But that's what I love about you. The normally quiet orchestra of the nighttime critters sounded a lot louder after Naruto's words. wideeyed in disbelief, she struggled to get her words out. And Nar, this isn't the time for you to be making jokes. Who said I was joking? The response came so fast, she knew he didn't think about it. He really meant what he said. Her surprise faded and gave way to denial. You don't love me, so stop kidding yourself, Satsuki. Stop, Nar, just stop. She couldn't move away since she was still being held by him. So, she turned her head so she wasn't directly looking at him. She continued to speak in a low whispered tone. After everything I've done, I betrayed the village and I even wanted to destroy it. I destroyed the trust of everyone who cared about me. I became a criminal and joined the very group that was hunting you and I even tried to kill you. Heck, I have killed you. A puddle of water was right beside them and Satsuki closed her eyes, not wanting to see the person in her reflection. After all of that, how could you find it in your heart to love me? Because I do. The conviction in his words startled her. Willing her eyes open, she looked at him and his expression matched his words. Listen, all right. She could hear the struggle in his voice as he spoke. I wish I could say that I went through all of that because I saw you as my friend, but I can't. I love you and nothing you say or do is going to change that. She looked at him and once again she saw the raw conviction that he was known for. She shook her head and chuckled. I must have hit you harder than I thought. The blonde shared in her amusement. Well, you are better than Sakura. I'll give y'all that much. You give me headaches. She gives me concussions. Sakura and Kakashi were walking through the forest leading to Valley of the End when suddenly the pink cat let out a loud sneeze. Kakashi looked at her with a raised brow. You okay, Sakura? Yak. Kakashi sensei. Don't<unk>t know where that sneeze came from, though. Someone must be talking about you. I bet it's that idiot, Narut. Even during the fight of his life, he can't resist calling my name. I may not be the sharpest canai in the pouch. The blonde started. Understatement. The Ravenet chimed in, pretending he didn't hear her, but I know what it is. I feel for you and it's love. Even if it took Arrow<unk>s sentence helped to figure it out, he added as an afterthought. Now she just flat out didn't believe him. Jeriah, the super pervert, helped you figure out that you love me. She said it slowly to convey how utterly ridiculous the words sounded. Nar heard her skepticism and chuckled, understanding her doubt. Yeah, he did. Tell me, Nar, why are you so hellbent on bringing back the Uchi? Why are you asking Aeros Sen? I already told you why. She's my best friend and I won't turn my back on her. Is she just your best friend, Nar? Of course she is. What are you getting at? Aerosen. The older man shook his head before closing his book. Nar, you've told me that you want her back because she's your friend, but I want you to describe it for me in detail on why she's so important to you. For a few moments, the blonde couldn't find the words to say. Thinking on it for a few more moments, he answered. It's kind of hard for me to put it into words. But I care about her. Y'all know she understands me just as I understand her. I can't explain it, but whenever I was around her, I would always feel happy, like everything would be okay as long as she was there with me. Whenever I saw her carrying the burden of her lost family and all of that pain by herself, I would hurt and it made me want to help her carry it. And now to know that she left to go with that that freak. He clenched his fist as a single tear rolled out of his eye. It feels like a part of me left with her, and that hurts more than her Chidori ever could. The blonde took a few moments to recompose himself before he stared into his master's cold-colored eyes. "Does that answer your question, Jeriah Sensei?" The white-haired Sonning kept his gaze on his young student before suddenly bursting into laughter, which had the effect of cutting through the tense atmosphere. A tick mark appeared on the blond's forehead. Oi, what's so funny? The older man wiped tears away from his eyes. You got it bad for the chihaw, and you don't even realize it. It took a few moments for what his master said to fully register, and when it did, his face lit up with a blush that had put Hinatas to shame. W what? No, I don't. I love Sakura Chan. Satsuki is just my best friend. Recomposing himself, the larger man responded. Keep telling yourself that, Gagi. It took a little while and a lot of introspection, saying that last part quietly under his breath. But I finally accepted how I felt about you. Keeping his eyes locked with hers, he gave her his brightest smile. That I truly loved you. And that's why I could never let you go. The silence that followed his words was deafening beyond relief. At least for Satsuki. She didn't know how to respond to that. What could she say to something like that? For the first 12 years of her life, she only saw him as a nuisance at worst and a passable acquaintance at best. Sure, he had grown on her during their latter time on Team 7, but that was it. For the next few years subsequent to her leaving, he once again returned to being a nuisance, constantly getting in her way and not accepting the motive behind her actions. Or so she made herself believe. She knew she was deluding herself by thinking she had cut him off, that she had broken her bond with him, that he wasn't dear to her. It was just easier for her to believe a lie than accept the truth. And the truth was that he was the closest person she had that was living. That's why she had never been able to go to the extremes to get rid of him. She couldn't bear the thought of actually losing him. It suddenly dawned on her that she hadn't felt his chest rising and falling for the past few minutes, and the grip he had around her waist had loosened. She laid there with a lump in her throat as she realized that her worst fear was coming true. Nar. Her call went unanswered and her concern evolved into full-blown panic. Nar, this isn't funny. Wake up. In her panic, she didn't realize that she pulled her hand out of his torso and was now gripping his shirt. Wake up. This isn't the time for one of your pranks. Wake the hell up. Roughly a mile away, Kakashi and Sakura were steadily walking toward their destination when they heard, "Wake the hell up?" They looked at each other upon recognizing the voice. "Was that?" Sakura started. Yes, it was. We had to get there now. Inside the shattering seal, Kurama kept his eyes closed as he dissipated from the now non-existent mindscape. Tears rolled out of his shut eyes, and he muttered under his breath just before he fully disappeared. "Goodbye, Nar," Satsuki laid there on his body, her face drenched in tears and her bloody hand beating his chest. "Wake up! Please wake up!" She momentarily paused when she noticed the orange red chakra dissipating from his body in a mist-like state and was traveling toward the moon, trapping the chakra's other half. That was the moment she begrudgingly accepted the fact that Nar was gone and that he wasn't coming back. Her tears kept flowing down her face as her grief became anger. She gripped his shirt and shook him violently. How could you? You weren't supposed to die. You were supposed to knock sense into me. Get me to see things your way. to see that what I was doing was wrong. If anything, I should be the dead one and you crying over me. She kept shaking and yelling at his body, letting out everything she was feeling. Her grief, her anger, her sadness, her happiness at his confession. Nothing was kept in anymore, but it didn't change anything. In the end, she laid face first on his chest and was begging him to wake up. Please, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything. I'll go back to the village with you. I'll be your girlfriend. I'll be your wife. I'll do anything you want. Just please wake up. Up on the cliff overlooking the destroyed landscape, Kakashi and Sakura finally arrived, and the scene they were witnessing was not one either of them were hoping for. Oh no, and no. No. Maybe there's still time. Maybe he can still be saved. Sakura rushed down the cliff and left Kakashi by himself. The masked war veteran stood motionless on the edge of the cliff. As much as he wanted to, he couldn't share Sakura's optimism. Casting his eyes upward, he caught a glimpse of the orange red chakra traveling to the ninth moon in the sky. The one he knew was trapping the Kaobi. That only confirmed what he knew happened when he heard Satsuki's yell. Falling to a knee, the silver-haired Jon and closed his eyes and let a few tears escape down his mask. "I'm sorry, Sensei." On Chan, it seems your son is going to be joining you sooner than you wanted. Please, please let there still be time to save him. Sakura ran and hopped over the debris as fast as she could to get to the downed blonde. As soon as she got close enough, "Give me some room," Satsuki. With Satsuki getting off of him and out of the way, Sakura began to work. She made quick work with closing of the stump and was now working on trying to get the hole in his torso to close up as well. There's still time. He can be saved. She kept repeating that mantra as she worked on the hole. For the next 10 minutes, she kept focusing her chosen jutsu on the area, but it wouldn't even budge. Come on. Damn it. Work. He's not going to die on me. She looked at his face and yelled. "You hear me, you idiot? You're not leaving me, Sakura. He's gone. You need to stop." Kakashi said as he placed his hand on her trembling shoulder only for it be roughly slapped away. "Piss off, Kakashi sensei. I didn't go through a whole war to protect this baka only for him to up and die on me." She continued pumping chakra into her technique. He's not leaving me. I won't allow it, Sakura. This time, she got up and swung at the masked man. Shut the hell up. Kakashi took his chance to grab her fist and pull her into tight hug. The pink cat fought against the grip of her sensei. Let me go. He needs me. I have to save him. Her angry tone was quickly devolving to tearfilled sobbing. Please let me go. I need to save him. He can't leave us. With tears falling down his own face, Kakashi pulled her closer and responded, "I'm sorry, Sakura." But Naruto's gone. "That was straw that broke the camel<unk>s back as Sakura finally broke down and returned the hug while burying her face into the vested chest of her sensei." Off to the side, Satsuki didn't notice anything her former teammates were doing. Her focus was on the corpse of the man that gave everything just to get her to see reason. She walked over to his body and kneelled down beside him. She moved his sun-kissed hair from out of his face, and a small smile found its way on her face. For there on his face was the brightest smile she had ever seen him give. Even in death, you still have to be a smiling fool, don't you? And just over the horizon, the sun began making its ascension into the sky. A stark contrast to the bleak reality for the members of Team 7. A melancholic tune whistled on the chilled winds blowing through the land of iron. The bright burning celestial body in the sky shined its light down on the land. Its rays bouncing off the flakes of snow showering the earth in its white coat, creating a glistening landscape. Inside the venue for the summit of the five cage, the atmosphere was rather dreary by comparison. The room was occupied by all five cage as well as their respective bodyguards except Ahu was being replaced by Kiri's ambu commander code name or also present were the rookies Sans Nar, Nei and Satsuki. They were there with the sensei's Kakashi, Guy, and Kuranai. the latter who left her daughter in the care of her friends, Yugo and Anko, not wanting little Mariah to witness this type of event at such a young age. The last three occupants in the room to round out the unlikely group were the former members of Team Taka. Despite the room having a fair number of occupants, most of whom were familiar with each other, it was deathly quiet, for no one had anything they wanted to say. They were all there just waiting, morosely anticipating what was about to take place. like a ball of iron being fired from the barrel of a long tom double doors swung open and slapped the cement walls. The loud bang traveling in waves throughout the large room. Marching into the room in perfect sink were two samurai dun out in their blue uniforms under their silver segmented plated armor. What came out behind them got the first reaction from the attendees. Strapped and being wheeled out on a wooden gurnie dressed in an all-white ceremonial kimono. Her smooth raven hair done up in a single bun with two brown chopsticks and her pale flawless face set in a monotone expression was Satsuki Uchiha. And today was the day she was due to be executed. Watching as two more samurai wheeled the uchiha to the center of the room, the majority of the attendees expression matched that of the only exceptions being those from Konaha. While they were not vocal, it could be seen on their faces the uneasy apprehension they were feeling. And in Sakura's case, sadness from the fact that she was about to be all alone in Team 7. Most of them hadn't known the Uchiha outside of a few interactions before she betrayed them to Orochimaru. But the reality that they were about to witness someone their dearly departed blonde friend fought so hard to make see the error of her ways. And when she finally does, she gets executed. It made them silently ask what was the point of Nar giving his life to save her if they were just going to kill her. Anyway, the last living Uchiha in the entire elemental nations looked on into the small crowd of people who were present to witness her last breath, the last set of faces she would ever get to see. She really would have liked to her ask herself the question, "How did it come to this?" But there was no point in that, for she knew the reason, and that her closely approaching fate was her fault and hers alone. After the war had officially ended and it was announced that their savior, Narut, had died by her hands, it didn't take long for the meager amount of trust she had garnered from the alliance to evaporate like a puddle on a hot summer's day. If it weren't the efforts of Konaha with some backing from Suna, she most certainly would have joined her blonde in the afterlife that very day. whether she would be by his side in the clouds or forever doomed to always be looking up at him from the fire and brimstone below. Not wanting Naruto's sacrifice to go to waste, Sununade and Gar proposed to have her locked up with her chakra completely sealed off. This way they had enough time to recuperate from the war and could thus plan a trial to see what her fate would be. Upon a quick discussion from all five cage, it was soon agreed upon that the best place to keep Satsuki would be the Hizuka castle. This way they can minimize unrest by not having someone who was deemed a powerful war criminal too close to any of their villages. To add another layer of security to the agreement, I made it so Satsuki would be kept in the isolation cell for the period of time she was kept there. Being locked up in a cold stone cell for an entire 5 months gave her a lot of time to think about her life. From the night that her brother laid waste to her family, the only thing that kept her going was her vengeful desire to watch that monster take his last breath. Her eyes were so blinded by her rage that she refused to see the fatal mistakes she was making by betraying the village, betraying her friends, betraying Nar. If she could go back in time, she would slap as much sense into her younger self as she possibly could. Thinking back on her actions against Itachi and the man that ordered Itachi to wipe out the clan, Danzo Shimura, it made her realize that Kakashi was right. For those who follow the path of revenge, it never ends well. You'll only tear yourself apart. And even if you succeed and get your revenge, what will you have then? Nothing. Emptiness. So, it looks like neither of us has led a charmed life. Exactly. Have we? Still, we're not all that bad off. At least you and I have found new comrades to help fill the void. As much as she didn't want to admit it back then, she had what she always wanted in Team 7, a family. Sakura, the annoying younger sister with her head in the clouds. Kakashi, the creepy but badass uncle who could be equal parts frustrating and fun to be around. And Nar, the one person who could understand her for who she was and not what her trauma turned her into, but because she couldn't see past her revenge. because she refused to allow them to help her. She threw them away and ended up with the exact feeling Kakashi said she would have. Emptiness. Only difference was that this emptiness came with a heaping chunk of shame and regret. And now it was too late to fix anything. Nar was dead. No one trusted her. And she was about to pay the ultimate price for her crimes. The only consolation, if it even could be called that, was that they decided that her execution was going to be quick and painless. a leniency earned for her actions in helping to end the war. Walking in front of her, clad in his green samurai armor, head wrapped with white bandages, and his Kurosawa strapped at his side, was Mafune Satsuki Uchiha. For your attempted assassination of the leaders of the five great villages, the murder of Narut Uzumaki, and the many other crimes you have committed across the elemental nations, you have been given the penalty of death." The aged samurai paused and looked at her, his eyes taking one last look at the young lady who let hate and revenge lead her down a path of no return. Do you have any last words? It was all his fault. At least that's what his guilt kept telling him. Logically speaking, Kakashi knew that he was not responsible for Satsuki's actions. She was her own person and thus responsible for herself. But she was his student and he failed her. From the very moment he was introduced to the lone survivor of the Uchiha, he knew where her priorities were. That the only thing that kept her going was her desire for revenge. As her sensei, it was his duty to curb her lust for vengeance so that it wouldn't consume who she was. He wouldn't be afraid to admit that he saw a lot of his younger self in her back then. The anger he felt at Ren's death, which led to him becoming a cold and ruthless killer during his time in Anbu. It was the same type of rage that was driving Satsuki's bloodlust. Admittedly and regrettably, that's why he had favored her so much over Narut and Sakura. He felt the need to focus on her so that she would see the importance in friends and camaraderie to see that despite losing her family, that there were still people who cared about her and that her life would improve if she allowed those people in. But he failed and now he had to live the rest of his life with the death of his sensei's son and his ultimate failure as a sensei on his conscience. Opening his eyes, he saw Mafune looking at Satsuki before he heard him ask, "Do you have any last words, stupid child?" Despite having a monotone outward appearance, on the inside, Sununade was fuming. As much as she loathed to admit it, looking at the Uchiah who was about to lose her life because she refused to stop living in the past reminded her too much of herself. For years, Sununade had let her past trauma and loss of loved ones dictate the person who she became, a bitter, cynical, hate-filled old woman who looked down others for merely pursuing their dream. If Nar had not come into her life and slapped some sense into her, she knew without a doubt that she would still be that coward who ran away from her past that he found in a bar, drinking and gambling her life away. Looking at the Uchiha, she could see every single emotion being hidden behind those dead, monotone eyes. grief, sorrow, self-loathing, shame, regret. It was like looking at a different version of herself. One where all of Naruto's efforts to save her only ended up going to waste. She tried. Cammy knows she tried to keep Satsuki alive so that her Oto's sacrifice wasn't in vain, but she failed. I, May, and Onokei all unanimously agreed that despite being a great asset during the war and could possibly be rehabilitated to help enforce the peace they fought so hard to achieve, it was too much of a risk to let someone with that much power and an evershifting allegiance between the light and the dark roam free. She argued that Nar, the person who made it possible for them to be alive in the first place, gave his life to save the Uchiah from her darkness, and that if he were alive, he would want her to be given a second chance. That was when Gar fin finally spoke and his words were those that sealed the fate of the weward hokag sama. As much I would like to agree with you, I'm afraid that I cannot. I for one do believe in second chances for I am a product of being given a second chance. But in a case such as this, the cons are too heavy to be ignored for the pros. K knew that the points he was making were more than valid, but she held fast in her goal to keep Satsuki alive. But Gar Naruto is your friend. He's the one who gave you your second chance. Both of them. It's only right to have Satsuki get another chance to prove that she is more than what her past turned her into. Gar intertwined his fingers in front of his face and side. Yes, Nar was my friend and I will always be loyal to him and the convictions he left behind, but the fact still remains that Satsuki Uchiha is too much of a danger to the peace that he fought so hard to obtain. Before Sunsade could make a rebuttal, he continued, "If we do let her go and she shows that she has changed her ways for the better, all it would take is one bad day, just one for all of that to come crashing down." And Cammy forbid she then decides to go through with her revolution. As much as we may not like to admit it, there would be nothing that the entire might of our nations could do to stop her. Soon bit her lip in frustration, for she knew that he was right. It is for that reason that I, Gar, the fifth case cage, vote for Satsuki Uchiha to be put to death. That was the end of the discussion. At the very least, she succeeded in getting them to agree that the execution should be quick and painless, that Sastuki had at the very least earned that mercy. Do you have any last words? Pulled from her thoughts by the question, Sununade refocused her eyes on the Uchiha. Do you have any last words? Such a simple question, yet so difficult to answer. She stopped looking at the samurai general and refocused her gaze on the crowd. So many faces, so many people she heard in her pursuit of vengeance. Her gaze came to the front of the audience and her breath hitched in her throat. It was Nar, his body all bruised, bloody, and beaten, a fist-sized hole in his torso and his right arm missing and the stump looking like a mangled mess. "Nar," she whispered. Mafune heard her and followed her gaze. "There's nothing there. Nar just stared at her. Cerulean blue eyes that used to be filled with the determination to make her see right from wrong were now filled with nothing but disappointment. Satsuki's stoic demeanor finally cracked and a stream of tears began flowing from her eyes. She hung her head and silently muttered just loud enough for them to hear. I'm sorry. With her last words uttered, Mafune gave her a parting message. I hope your soul finds peace. Before stepping away from her, Suchi Kag sama, "It is time." Hm. The old cage floated from his position among the crowd and hovered a few feet away from Satsuki. The last didn't see as Onoki slowly went through his hand seals. She didn't see when his gentur nojutsu formed between his palms. She didn't see when it propelled toward her and expanded, trapping her inside. What she did see was Nar closing his eyes and looking away before fading from existence. Closing her eyes, she muttered to herself these final words. I'm sorry, Nar. Before another second could pass, she was disintegrated from the mortal plane. How long had it been since she died? A few minutes, an hour, a day, a week? In a place such as this, an empty space vacant of any form of light, a perception of time was non-existent. When she was executed, a small part of her hoped that she would end up in heaven, where she knew without a doubt Naruto would be. But the logical part of her knew that she was destined for the burning underworld. But neither of those happened. Instead, she woke up in this dark, endless void where she was the only one present. With no need to eat and being unable to sleep, the only thing Satsuki could do was think. It should come to no surprise that all she could think about was Nar, more specifically his confession. What would it have been like had she gone back with him on her retrieval mission? How would things have played out since when do you come up here? Not even bothering to turn around, Satsuki kept looking out at the infinite amount of stars decorating the night sky from her perch on the Yandimes monument. Since I found out it was a good place to clear my head, she heard his footsteps approached before she felt him take a seat next to her. When did you get back? This afternoon. Out of the corner of her eyes, she gave him an accusatory side glance. "And you just thought to come see me now?" He rubbed the back of his head in his typical sheepish manner. "It seems that 3 years of training with Master Jeriah hadn't changed him all that much, aside from the obvious physical changes. Even with him sitting, she could tell that he had gotten taller than her. And if the way his outfit hugged his physique was anything to go by, he wasn't the scrawny twig he used to be either. Sorry, I had to check in with Oba Chan and ended up getting dragged to Ichiaku by Konahamaru and his friends. Hn glad to see that I'm the last of your priorities. I'd have thought that checking in with your best friend would be somewhere near the top. He chuckled and pulled her into a hug when she was all but eager to return. I missed you, Yao. Same here, Dobby. Village was a little too quiet with you gone. They stayed there in the embrace for some time. Both of them just enjoying each other's company. There's something that I've been meaning to say to you, Satsuki Chan. Removing her head from his chest, she leaned back and looked directly into his eyes. And what's that? Before she could comprehend what was happening, his lips found hers. Any eyes widened in surprise before they softened and she started returning the kiss. What started as a slow, passionate kiss soon became fervent and heated. She repositioned herself so she was sitting in his lap. One hand went behind his head, her fingers combing through his soft blonde mane while the other went around his neck. She could feel one of his hands wrapped around her flank while the other was resting on her hip. Satsuki moaned into the kiss and soon found her lower body gyating on his. Before their makeout session could go any further, she felt him pull back. She would be lying if she said she wasn't disappointed at lack of contact on her lips. She knew that her face was resembling her favorite food, but at this point, she didn't care. Not that I'm complaining, but what was that for? He smiled and gently rested his forehead against hers, his nose rubbing against hers. That was me telling you that I always feel happy when I'm around you. That when you're there with me, I feel like I could take on the whole world and win. That was me telling you that no matter what happens, I will always be there for you because Satsuki Uchiha, I love you. The uchiha felt the corners of her lips twitching before she finally allowed the bright smile to spread across her face. Not being someone who was particularly good with words, she responded in the only way she knew by resuming their passionate liplock. After the need for air became too much to ignore, they separated. I guess the feelings mutual then. Her head resting on her spot on his chest, she responded. What do you think? Also, did you have to make your confession sound so cheesy? He laughed and told her, "Give me a break. You know how long it took me to remember all of that?" She gave him a quick peck on the lips. "Write it down next time." The sounds of a newborn's whale filled the delivery room. Satsuki lay on the bed, sweat dripping from her face and heavy pants coming from her mouth. "Congratulations, Satsuki. You have a beautiful baby girl." smiled as she handed the newborn to her mother. "Shazun, go get Nar." Satsuki wasn't paying attention to them, only the beautiful baby in her arms. Little Makoto. She and Narut agreed that if they had a girl first, then she'd be named after her mother. W her little girl sure had a pair of lungs on her, something in the future she would attribute to her loudmouth husband, though he would come with the counterargument that she was way louder than him when it came to certain activities. Taking out one of her, she put it in the little girl's mouth, and immediately the siren-like whale subsided. A tired smile appeared on her face when she felt her husband's hand snake around her shoulder and when he pulled her in for a kiss on the cheek. How y'all doing? Tired and sore. I swear taking out the Akatsuki was a cakewalk compared to childbirth. Don't worry. I hear it comes easier with practice. If the glare she sent her blonde lover could kill, he'd be dead a million times over. Hey, hey, don't give me that look. I'm not the one who said she wanted three kids. Her glare faltered before she sighed and laid her head on the pillow. Just make sure you put twins in me next time. If I have to go through this two more times, then I am going to kill you. One and done. Got it? He laughed before replying. I'll be sure to give it the good old Uzumaki try. Rolling her eyes, she went back to admiring the life she just birthed. She's got your hair. She heard Narut comment. It was at that moment little Makoto opened her eyes. in my eyes. A perfect mix, I would say. Narut nodded. Yeah, how about we go for a switch up next time? I'd love to see what a blonde looks like. Satsuki gave him her best dead pan expression. Listen to me carefully. There will never be a blonde. He grinned. Want to bet? Cooking was something Satsuki rather enjoyed. For one, she got to show off her unmatched culinary skills. And second, it reminded her of the time she spent cooking with her mother. Feeling a weight on her back and two hands wrapping around her midsection, Satsuki smiled. "You're home early, Nanadam sama." A pleasure-filled shiver went down her spine when she felt him nip her earlobe. "How many times have I told you that you don't have to call me that?" The husky whisper, making it difficult to focus on her task. "Too many to count. Light day at the office today. Not really. Felt like coming home early, so I left some clones to cover for me." She shook her head in amusement. only you would abuse your clones like that. I don't hear you complaining about the other way I use them. Even without looking over her shoulder, she could see the [ __ ] eating grin on his face. Pouting with her cheeks flushed, she bumped him off with her butt. Playfully, Nar grabbed her and twirled her around before capturing her lips with his. Eagerly returning the kiss, Satsuki wrapped her arms around his neck and melted into the lip lock. They stayed like that for a few minutes. Well, lips locked and tongues dancing between their mouths. They only stopped when their kids came running into the kitchen. Daddy, daddy, daddy's home. Letting each other go. Satsuki scooped up her 5-year-old Makoto while Narut took up the four-year-old twins, Itachi and Manato. Both of them being carbon copies of their father having inherited his blonde hair. The only difference being that they inherited their mother's eyes. When they were born, she had to resist the urge to slap the smug expression off Naruto's face. She had to concede that despite being blonde, her two boys were just as adorable as their older sister, and she wouldn't change a thing about them. "Daddy, what were you and mommy doing? It was Itachi who asked, angelic innocence in his words. Everyone's attention was now on Narut." Satsuki found it funny how sweat was comically dripping off his face. You uh mommy and I were uh just talking. Yeah, talking. The little blonde tilted his head. But daddy, it looked an awful lot like the stuff that Uncle Scarecrow reads when he's here. He what came the simultaneous exclamations from both parents. It was at that moment that moment Satsuki was reminded that she was still cooking dinner when she smelled the unmistakable scent of burnt food. She looked at the stove and yep, the food was burnt. throbbing tick mark on her forehead and an eyebrow that was about to twitch its way off her face. She sent a glare at her husband who distracted her from her cooking. He in turn laughed sheepishly before nervously suggesting, "Eh, echiaku ramen, anyone?" Almost immediately, the three children erupted into cheers. Her annoyed gaze softened and turned into a look of defeat. Their kids just had to get their father's appetite, didn't they? After tucking in their children, Satsuki stood in the room with her husband, a content smile on her face. She turned to her husband, standing on her tiptoes. She pecked him on the cheek. He looked at her. Not that I'm complaining, but what was that for? That was me thanking you for giving me a chance to show that I'm more than what I used to be. He grinned. No problem. For a dead person with such an unsavory life resume, your hopes and fantasies are rather sweet. I dare say I got myself a sweet tooth just from watching them. Immediately getting to her feet and into a defensive stance, Satsuki looked into the pitch blackness, trying to locate who spoke. "Who are you and what do you want from me?" She heard the voice chuckle. "Who I am should be rather obvious given the circumstances." After those word, the uchiha realized who she was speaking to. "You're dot the shinagami. Bingo. As for what I want, well, that's another conversation all to itself. But first, Satsuki heard the sound of fingers snapping before the black void brightened and morphed into an urban dining room. Seated around the table with a cup of coffee in his hand was who she assumed was the Shinagami. A man with messy light blonde hair with strands framing the sides of his face and hanging between his eyes. He wore a dark green shakusho underneath a black howry. On his feet were tradition wooden sandals and on his head was a striped dark green and white bucket hat. Leaning on the side of the table was a yellow hooked cane. Satsuki couldn't stop her eyebrow from raising. You're the shinagami that I am, little lady. Now, why don't you pull out a chair and take a seat? We have something to discuss. Taking a seat, Satsuki let her trained, analytic gaze roam over the man sitting in front of her. He really wasn't what she expected the shinagami to be. She was expecting a malevolent being who'd give off a cold and terrifying aura whose presence alone would make her fall to her knees and beg for forgiveness. She watched him casually sip his coffee and reposition his cane to keep it from falling. Truth be told, his demeanor reminded her a lot of her former sensei. He just looked so laid-back, like he didn't have a care in the world. Still finding it hard to believe that I'm the Shinagami, huh? a little startled by his words, having been so lost in thought, Satsuki responded. Yeah, I don't mean to sound offensive, but you are not what I was expecting the Shinagami to be. Her words made the man god chuckle. I tend to get that from the souls that have seen my true form. Without ceasing to consume his hot beverage, the blonde snapped his fingers and a being shimmerred into existence behind him. Appearing behind the god was a translucent large god figure. Wearing a large white kimono and a tanto blade through its long pointed teeth was a purple-kinned demonic apparition with white shaggy hair. This apparition radiated malevolency. Its presence enveloping the light behind it creating a dark abyss that allowed its golden eyes to glow, pulse, and emanate a feeling of impending death. Now this is what she thought the shinagami would have been. You were expecting that guy, right? Pointing a thumb in the direction of the apparition, Satsuki gave a silent nod, looking at the spectre who made her want to be anywhere but there at the moment. That's one of my avatars. Aside from being my connection to mortal realm, it's also what I use to ensure that souls have a safe passage into the afterlife to face judgment. So, it goes without saying that the majority of souls will never meet me in person unless I find it absolutely necessary. Without another word, he dismissed his avatar. Okay, so what was so important that you had to meet me in person? The eradication of the elemental nation sounds important enough. On<unk>s eyes widened in shock, the casual way in which he spoke, doing nothing to lessen the impact of the words. Wh what th realizing that she was babbling, Satsuki took a deep breath to regain her composure. I'm sorry, but I'm finding it hard to believe that the elemental nations were destroyed. All of the villages formed an alliance after the war and strengthened that alliance with my execution. Any threat that came up, they would have been more than capable of handling. Without a word, the blonde snapped his fingers and the air in front of them shimmerred and on. It was an image, but it was out of focus. Voicing her confusion, Satsuki asked, "What's this? A visual aid to get you to understand just how badly you messed up?" Satsuki took notice of the way he worded his sentence. But before she could properly interpret it, the image became clearer and what she saw made her jaw drop and her hands came up to cover her exasperation. With one mighty swing of its tail, the Hokag tower shattered, debris flying through the air as if they were leaves being carried on the wind. With one booming roar, shock waves tore through the homes of the village residents, destroying them and anyone who was unfortunate enough to have been inside. With one swing of its powerful claws, the bloodied, shredded remains of Shinobi and civilians alike splattered onto the pathway of the panicked frenzy of humans seeking to escape this disaster. Red and blue chakras swirled within the m of the most powerful Beiju, condensing into a single point. The ball of purple chakra flew through the air, tearing through the village like a hot knife through butter before impacting its target. With a loud boom and a blinding glow, the Hokag monument was obliterated and everything and everyone within the blast radius was no more. In a matter of moments, the once most powerful village in all of the elemental nations, Konahagakir, was nothing but a smoldering wasteland, and standing in its ashes was its destroyer. Kurama, the Caillou, no Kitsun. Across the continent, similar acts were being carried out. Soona, a sandstorm of epic proportions battered the entirety of the land of wind. Grains of sand were moving at such a rapid speed that they pierced through anything they touched, flesh and bones included. Where once stood the village, Sagakir was now a demolished, blood soaked ruin. The bodies of the destroyed villages residents, littering the dry landscape. Udina Sabaku no Messo. The high-pitched voice of the Ichibi echoed across the land before the sand swirled in the air and formed a massive vortex that converged onto where the village once stood. And in a matter of seconds, another of the major villages was gone. Buried underneath the sands of the unforgiving desert. Suspended in the air on a platform of sand was Gar, who had just witnessed the end of his village. falling to a knee and clutching the bleeding stump where his right limb should have been. The redhead watched as Shaku turned to face him and pounded its stomach, causing its mouth to bulge up. Closing his eyes, Garin never saw the wind bullet that erased him out of the sky. Kumo blue fire glowed brightly as it burned through the many buildings making up the cloudbound village. Waves of citizens ran and screamed in terror from the monstrous flaming two-tailed cat wreaking havoc in their home, creating a fireball in its mouth. The Niko Beiju fired the flaming bomb toward the fleeing people, incinerating them in an instant. Shinobi had tried to fend off the great beast, but nothing they did was effective, and they only ended up becoming red smears on the Beiju's paws. I attempted to use the chakra cannon against the beasts, but there weren't enough shinobi to power the weapon. Before he could think of another way to defend his village, he had fallen to the m of Matabi. Her sharp teeth ripping him to shreds before his remains were consumed by the sapphire flames. Down below, Hibi was firing non-stop tail beast bombs, destroying the mountain range and bringing down the village in the clouds bit by bit. By the time Nibby had joined him, the village hidden in the clouds was nothing but a pile of rubble on the ground. Deciding to leave no trace of the great village. The two Beiju combined their strongest attacks into one gigantic tail beast bomb. With a roar, they fired it and in an explosion which resulted in an enormous mushroom cloud. Kumogakir became a memory. Ewa, a humongous four-tailed ape, landed in the center of the village, hidden in the stone. Citizens of the major village stood stoned still, fear evident in their eyes as they couldn't believe what they were seeing. Pounding on his chest, the great beast bellowed. Shakuka Difunka, multiple geysers of lava erupted all over the village, spewing volcanic ash into the air and shooting magma covered rocks sky high. The rocks came barreling down on the village like meteorites from outer space. And just like meteorites, they exploded violently upon impact, destroying anything and anyone unlucky enough to have been in their path. With its part done, Son Goku leapt from the melting village and landed beside his sibling who was waiting for him just outside the settlement. "Do it," the eight Buju commanded. Closing its eyes, Kakuo spoke in a calm and alluring voice. "Finu awa." An almost imperceptible bubble of acid formed in the horse dolphin Buju<unk>s mouth. Launching the technique, the bubble expanded and encompassed the entire village. With the acid bubble trapping the heat, ash, and magma within the confines of the village, it didn't take long for pressure to start building up. Onokei tried to cut through the bubble with his genton, but nothing he tried to could pierce the dense acid bubble. It was just too strong. Within a matter of minutes, the bubble reached it mass capacity and broke. The result was an explosion so powerful that it shook the ground the Beiju were standing on. The only thing left in the wake of the explosion was a river of lava where Iwagakir once stood. Kiri tsunamis sized waves crashed into the islandbound nation of Kiraakir. The waves hid with such force and ferocity that it progressively broke the island into pieces. On the surface, no attacking foe could be seen. However, where the attack was coming from was below the water. Deep below the murky depths, the turtle Beiju was continuously firing tail beast bombs at the island's base to destabilize it. By the time Isobu was done, only a small portion of the island was above the water. To put the final nail in the coffin and sink the island for good, the three tales manipulated the water until it formed a large, everlasting whirlpool. The current was so strong that it finished pulling the great village under the water and to the bottom of the ocean. There were no survivors. Taki, the only insect like Beiju, was hovering over the small nation hidden in the waterfall. Not wanting to waste time, the Beiju charged up a full power tail beast bomb and fired. One large glow and a shock wave later, the minor shinobi village was destroyed. Not even looking at the new scar on the earth, Chom flew away. With his point made, the Shinagami dispersed the image and looked at his company through an impassive gaze. On<unk>s eyes had yet to blink as they kept gazing at the area where she watched her home world be destroyed. Unseen tears threatened to trickle down her unblenmished face as she recalled what the god had said just before showing her the destruction. A visual aid to get you to understand just how badly you messed up. Blinking away the tears, she stealed her gaze at the god and asked, "How did I cause this?" Her tone purposely dry and monotoneed to mask the self-loathing and guilt accumulating within her. She knew that she was responsible for this and wasn't about to deny it. Exhaling through his nose and taking another sip of his coffee before setting the cup on the table, the blonde god answered. "Firstly, just to get this out of the way, what you just saw was a mere 9 years after your execution. And as I'm sure you saw, your murder of Narut Uzumaki did more than just earn you a spot in the afterlife. He started his tone matching that of his expression. When you killed him, you irreparably damaged the link all five nations shared. Since he was a big part in getting them to see eye to eye with him out of the picture, the peace that was achieved at the end of the war slowly began to erode. It held up for the first couple of years, but it began to deteriorate after that. Old prejudices began to resurface, established trust distorting and becoming mistrust. And before you know it, all the villages were on edge. Believing it would only be a matter of time before one of them tried something. With the now present sense of anticipation and dread hanging over them, the villages ironically took up the ways of the Akatsuki and began hunting the Beiju. Believing that by doing this they could alleviate the tension by having a powerful weapon to use should their allies try something. Didn't the Hibi go back to being sealed inside Killer B? It was a question that had been brimming in her mind since she watched the beast destroy Kumo. No. After everything had settled down, Killer B decided that his companion had spent enough time being trapped inside a prison. So, he opted to keep Guyuki's severed tentacle to sustain himself and allow his friend to have freedom once more. Satsuki gave a small nod in response before saying, "So, I'm guessing that the Beiju didn't take too kindly to being hunted again and lashed out." Basically, at first, they gave the villages a chance to see the error of their ways in respect of their honorary brother, Nar, but after repeated attempts on their freedom, they had enough and fought back. You saw the results. The deceased Uchiha gave a small, almost unperceivable sigh and nodded. Her dark eyes holding a solemn expression. You're taking this surprisingly well. The Shinagami commented, "The Uchiha had to bite back the impulse to scoff, reacting like a child who's been told she's wrong isn't going to change anything. I [ __ ] up monumentally so, all because I couldn't get my head out of my ass to see the terrible choices I was making." The words were being spoken through gritted teeth, self-hatred dripping off every syllable. The tears that previously threatened her had finally won the battle against her willpower and were now freely flowing down her face. "So, this is why you came to see me in person, huh?" The malevolent god of death came to tell me to my face just how badly I [ __ ] up before leaving me to suffer in my shame and regret for the rest of eternity. Glowing red eyes soaked with tears glared at the blonde, who was still had an impassive look on his face. "I could have done that," Satsuki expected at any moment for his avatar to return for her. "Or I could give you a chance to fix your mistakes. If Satsuki's heart had been pumping, it definitely would have skipped a beat after hearing that. You want to give me a second chance?" More like I don't have a choice but to. As it stands, the balance between life and death has been irreversibly damaged. Too many have died in this world to properly repopulate it. And given the circumstances surrounding the elemental nations at the moment, in less than a century, life will cease to exist there. And that is something myself nor Cami Chan can allow. That is absolutely right. Satsuki whipped around to see who had spoken. Who she saw was a beautiful dark-skinned slender woman with long dark violet hair done up in a high ponytail with two bangs framing her face. Her eyes were sharp and cat-like with golden irises. She was clad in an immaculate black dress that hugged her curvaceous figure and accentuated her already divine beauty. The woman walked toward her, a felineesque grace to her stride. She stopped in front of the raven at beauty, stooped down, her golden eyes stared into midnight black as she cuped the side of the uchiha's face with one hand, and a gentle finger wiped away the tears. For a few moments that seemed to span a lifetime, the two women just looked at each other. Satsuki looking at the blackclad woman, wondering who she was. The mysterious woman kept her gaze soft and warm, as if letting the young lady know that she wasn't going to be judged. So much anger, so much hate, so much pain and regret. Her voice was soft and comforting. Satsuki actually felt herself relax under the woman's tender gaze and caress. Your life was not an easy one. The tragic life-changing events that you had to go through, that shaped you into someone you were not meant to be, caused you to do things that you were not meant to do. At this, Satsuki's expression fell, and with it, her gaze was now on the diamond-shaped tiles decorating the floor. In one fluid motion, the woman's hand moved from the side of her face and gently gripped Satsuki's chin and raised it so they were once again looking into each other's eyes. "My husband gave you an offer to undo your misdeeds. Tell me, are you willing to take it? Satsuki's eyes widened upon hearing that she was the wife of the Shinagami. Who? Who are you? The purple-haired woman let out a low melodic laugh, and off to the side, the Shinagami snorted in amusement, almost spilling his coffee. My dear, you are a smart girl, aren't you? Surely, you can surmise who I am. After all, what other woman would be good enough to stand by the Shinagami's side? A brief flash of mischievousness adorned the regal woman's eyes. The deceased Uchiha kept her gaze on the woman for a few moments before realization suddenly struck her. That is something myself nor Cam Chan can allow. Cam sama. Cami smiled. Got it in one. Dear, now tell me, are you going to take the offer? Satsuki started trembling so much so that it was visible to the two divine beings. Her tears returned with a vengeance, streaming down her face like a waterfall and pulling on the floor. In one quick motion, Satsuki abruptly slapped the hand of Cammy away from her and got to her feet. Standing there, her eyes closed, hands clenched tightly into fists while her body was still shaking. Why? The word came out as a whisper, but the heat behind it was very audible. Why are you doing this? After everything I've done, after everything my actions have caused, why the hell are you giving me a second chance? I should be in hell. Burning and rotting away in misery for what I did. Several memories flashed through her mind in quick succession, waking up in Naruto's arms and to his relieved smiling face after she had taken Haku's attack that was meant for him. seeing that he was crying and how happy he was when she opened her eyes. How he fought Orochimaru like an uncaged wild animal when it became clear that she was the habisan's target. How he had almost been the one to bear the curse mark had Orochimaru not caught him and knocked him out. Recalling the words he had told her when they fought at the Valley of the End because we're friends and how he would continue to tell her those words every time they met afterward. That was until the last time they fought. Where his true feelings came out. It took a little while and a lot of introspection, but I finally accepted how I felt about you, that I truly loved you, and that's why I could never let you go. With his last few moments in life, he had poured out his heart and confessed how much he loved her. How it was his love for her that pushed him to keep pursuing her. How it was his love for her that led to him losing his life by her hands. collapsing to her knees with her arms wrapped around herself. Raven Tress's fell a skew, partially blocking her face from view. She kept crying, sobs racking her body. I killed him. He put his everything into creating peace for everyone, for me. He went out of his way to make me look myself in the mirror to see the horrible person I had become. He did all of that and didn't ask for anything in return. And with one final mistake, I undid everything he sought to achieve. She looked up at them. Her tears had finally run out, but the stains they left on her face were more than enough to convey how she was feeling. In a low and cracked tone, she asked, "Why would you give someone like me a second chance?" The two divine beings shared a look before the Shinagami shrugged and made a go ahead motion with his free hand. The goddess smiled and reached into her husband's Howy and pulled out a handkerchief. Walking over to the sorrowful Ravenet, she stooped down and once again gently gripped the girl's chin and lifted it so that their eyes met. Golden Irises looked at the dejected young woman in front of her and with a gentle motion, she used the handkerchief to wipe away the tear stains. An action that earned a surprised reaction from the disheveled Uchiha. With a few more wipes, the stains were all gone. And using her divine abilities, the purple-haired woman created a golden comb and took her time to straighten out Satsuki's hair. so that it no longer looked disheveled. When she was done, Satsuki's hair was neatly combed so that it was parted at the side with a long thick bang hanging over her left shoulder while the rest was flowing down her back like an elegant sheet. There, you're looking way better now. Not giving Satsuki a chance to resist, she pulled the girl to her feet and started leading her out of the room. Glancing over her shoulder, the goddess sent a look to her husband, who once again gave her the go-ahead gesture while making himself another cup of coffee. The dark-skinned goddess led Satsuki to what looked like a modern living room. Satsuki took a moment to admire the room. It had an ivory wall coating with dark brown trimmings. It had everything a standard dining room would have, but it just looked so pristine, practically picture perfect, like what you see. Satsuki snapped out of her admiration. Satsuki looked at the goddess and nodded. "Yes, your home is very lovely." The dark-skinned lady smiled. "Thank you. I wish I could give my hubby some of the credit, but he doesn't have a decorative bone in his body. I swear that man has no sense of style or fashion. You can tell by his choice of clothes. I'd burn them if I could." Back in the dining room, the Shinagami face faulted, having heard his oh so loving wife desecrate his choice of clothing. Sitting down on the large baby blue sectional sofa, Cammy made herself comfortable by crossing her legs and leaning back on the cushions with her arms stretched out, one of them going around Satsuki's shoulder. With her other hand, she picked up a remote that was on the Royal Oak glass center table and used it to turn on the 50-in flat screen television mounted on the wall over the fireplace. I didn't think that you brought me in here to watch a movie. Satsuki commented. The purple-haired woman smirked before shushing the ravenet. Just as she did that, the TV started playing. I'm stuffed. The scene showed Satsuki as a little girl sitting outside after eating a very large dinner prepared by her big brother, Itachi. Two sleeping bags fell in front of her, drawing her attention to her big brother who was standing beside her. Hey, Satsuki, want to sleep outside tonight? Are you sure it's okay to do that? Her question was answered with a quick nod from Itachi. After settling into their respective sleeping bags, they spent the next few moments admiring how the light from the moon lit up their home. "Are you cold?" Itachi asked. "No, it feels good." Satsuki quickly responded. Satsuki then went on to tell her brother that she wanted to become a shinobi just like him. "You're going to end up surpassing me at the rate you're improving." Satsuki pouted. Impossible. Itachi laughed and told her how much like him she was and how she had the potential to become greater than him. Satsuki smiled and then promised that she'd become a shinobi that was better than him. Shortly after her proclamation, she dozed off, a small smile on her face as she snored. Itachi turned to look at his baby sister and smiled before properly tucking her in and then dozing off shortly after. The scene changed to show Itachi playing hide and seek with Satsuki. how Satsuki found him and was gloating before Itachi smirked and disappeared to show that he was a clone all along. Satsuki ended up complaining to her parents about how Itachi cheated at hide and seek, which ended up in them laughing at Satsuki's expense. But if they had been paying attention, they would have seen the smile on Satsuki's face to see her family so happy. Itachi was carrying Satsuki on his bag after she had gotten too excited during training and ended up twisting her ankle. Brother, can we train again sometime? The hopeful little girl asked. Itachi smiled and told her, "Yes, but he won't always have a lot of time to spend with her." Satsuki looked disappointed before a small smile appeared on her face. "That's okay. It doesn't matter the amount of time you have as long I get to spend it with you." At this, Itachi turned his head and smiled at his little sister in action with got a big grin out of his sister. The next scene was the night of the Uchiha's massacre. Satsuki coming home from training to find her clansmen slaughtered. Her running through the corpse-filled streets to her home while hoping beyond hope that her family was safe. How she found her parents dead and with her big brother standing over them, his katana dripping blood. How she tried to deny the truth that was staring her in the face. That her brother was responsible for the massacre and how Itachi dashed those thoughts from her mind by using the sukuyomi to make her live through every second of her clan slaughter. It showed Satsuki's confrontation with Itachi and the words he left her with that fateful night. You have the potential to become my greatest opponent. Like me, you are someone who is able to use the Mangeku sharing. But there is one condition. You must kill your closest friend just like I did. Right now, you are not worth me drawing my blade. Once you have the same eyes as me, only then should you come and stand before me. It was the battle on the bridge in Wave Country. It showed when Satsuki and Narut were trapped inside Haku's ice dome and were unable to find a way out. Hiku was done lining up her shot and flew out of her ice mirrors to attack Nar. Just before the attack could land, Satsuki jumped in front of the blonde and took the entire brunt of the Senbon needles, protecting her blonde teammate. "Why?" Nar asked, a look of disbelief on his face. Satsuki smirked. "What's with that look on your face, loser?" weakly getting out her words before collapsing to the ground on her back. Her fall cushioned by Narut catching her. You hate me, so why did you save me? Hey, I wish I knew. My body just moved on its own. A rare small smile appeared on Satsuki's face. Ya know. I told myself that I wouldn't die until I avenged my clan, until I killed him. She coughed, her consciousness slowly slipping away. Tilting her head, she looked at Nar, her smile still present. Nar, don't let your dream die. With those words spoken, the Uchiha Aerys went limp in Naruto's arms. Had she been conscious, she'd have seen the tears Nar had shed for her on that day. The final scene was of their first fight at the Valley of the End. The battle was one you wouldn't believe two genanine level Shinobi would be capable of fighting. With each passing moment, it escalated further and further until Narut was in his one-tailed cloaked form, and Satsuki had brought her cursed seal second form. The climax of their battle was decided with a clash of their strongest techniques. Naruto's Vermillion Reengon and Satsuki's flapping Chidori. In the end, Satsuki stood victorious over her unconscious blonde teammate. Looking at his face, seeing how distressed he looked, even while unconscious, it almost made her regret her decision. Then she remembered what her brother told her that to gain the mangeku sharing, she had to take the life of her closest friend. In that very moment, as she was walking away, Satsuki decided that she would shun the words of her brother and refuse to be his puppet. She would gain power, but not at the cost of Naruto's life. No, she would gain power her own way and hers alone. What was the point in showing me all that? Using the remote to turn off the TV, Cammy turned to look at Satsuki, who once again wore a dejected expression on her face. The reason why I showed you that was to make you see that you are a good person at heart despite all the wrong you've done. She looked at Satsuki. You asked why we would give someone like you a second chance. Now you have your answer. Satsuki looked away. I find that hard to believe. Cammy smiled and shook her head at the stubborn girl. If you weren't a good person, then why would you have thrown yourself in front of Haku's attack to protect Nar? Satsuki stayed silent. After your first battle with Nar at the Valley of the End, you had the opportunity to kill him to gain more power. Yet, you chose not to. While you were training under Orochimaru, you chose not to kill any of the henchmen he sent you. While you were traveling with Team Habi, you went out of your way to make sure that they didn't take any unnecessary lives. Even after you had taken Naruto's life, you immediately regretted it and cried for him and begged him to come back to you. Your point, Satsuki growled. My point is that a truly villainous person would not have done what you did. And that's why we want to give you a second chance. Satsuki stayed silent, mulling over the opportunity being presented to her. Could she really do this? Go back and make things better. Did she even deserve this chance to make things right after everything she did? if it will make you feel better. Nar told me that he believed you deserved a second chance. Satsuki's eyes widened to nearly cartoonish proportions as she turned to see the death god leaning against the door frame. What did you say? The man rubbed the back of his neck before going to sit in his personal chair. Back when Narut died, he and I had a little chat before his soul was sent into the afterlife. He practically predicted that things would turn out bad for the elemental nations. Not exactly on the scale you witnessed, but he had the right idea. I pitched the idea to send him back so he could prevent it from happening. The blonde tilted his head and looked directly into Satsuki's eyes. Do you know what he said? A little peeved at the rhetorical question, Satsuki growled. Obviously, I don't. Now, will you get on with it? Cammy chuckled at Satsuki's demeanor. A few moments ago, she was down and beating herself up. Now, she was up and attentive since it involved Nar. The man continued. He said he was tired. That after everything he went through in his life, all the effort he put in to make things right, he said he was exhausted and wanted to rest where he knew his family was waiting for him. Satsuki was surprised to hear that Nar turned down the opportunity to make things right. It was so unlike him. Upon hearing his reason, though, she had to begrudgingly agree that he deserved to rest. Even without being around him for a couple years, she knew that he was putting in more than his all to bring about peace for everyone. She knew him. If he failed, he'd keep trying and get knocked down over and over until he succeeded. He more than earned his rest. I particularly didn't like it, but I had to concede that he was right and that he deserved to rest. Before he passed over, he told me that if things went as he thought they would, then the person he'd want to take his place was you. Satsuki was surprised and it showed on her face. "Me me?" The blonde nodded. He said that despite all the crap you put him through, you deserved one more chance to redeem yourself. Satsuki was once again stunned. Even after he died, by her hands, no less, he still believed in her. He still believed that she deserved another chance. She clenched her eyes shut, but that didn't deter the new drops of tears from forcing their way out. "You fool! You stupid, forgiving fool. She may have been insulting Nar, but the small smile on her face let the divine beings know there was no malice in her words. So the shinagami started. Are you going to sit there and mope forever, spitting on the last wish of your best friend? Cammy picked up where the shinagami left off, or are you going to take this opportunity to write your wrongs and make the man you love very proud? Finishing her question with a mischievous smirk, ignoring that last comment with a bit of pink on her cheeks, Satsuki stood up and looked at the god of death and the goddess of life with a new surge of determination flowing through her being. I still don't think I deserve a second chance, but if it will make up for what I did to Nar, then I accept your offer. The two divine beings smiled before getting up. Well, all that's left is to explain the terms of this deal and then you'll be off. The Shinagami stated. Satsuki looked confused. Terms? Yes. Cami answered. You really didn't think we'd send you back without giving you some parameters to work within, did you? At this, Satsuki couldn't help but feel a little sheepish, and it showed in how she awkwardly coughed into her palm to hide the embarrassment. First things first, you're going to have to work to regain your abilities. Cammy stated before Satsuki could oppose, she snapped her fingers and Satsuki's abilities from her dojutsu to her jutsu arsenal were stripped from her in the form of purple flames leaving her body. The flames condensed into a single flame in the goddess's hand before she snuffed it out. Why did you do that? Satsuki snapped at the goddess before being humbled by a stern glare from her husband. I'm sorry, she apologized, realizing she may have overstepped with that outburst. Apology accepted. Now, as to why I took your abilities, think of it as my way of punishing you. Satsuki looked disgruntled at that news. Oh, don't give me an attitude. We had to punish you some way, and taking your abilities, so you actually have to work for them again was our best option. Still peeved, but knowing she couldn't do anything about it, Satsuki reluctantly conceded. Fine, good, Shinagami spoke. Now, our second condition is that certain individuals who died the first time around, I'm going to need you to keep them alive. Reason being that they died before their time when they had a better purpose in life. Don't worry, you'll know them when you see them." He quickly answered, seeing her about to ask in the same breath, "There are those that I'm going to need you to reap for me." For one reason or another, these people decided to play God and either refuse to die or have done things so affront to nature it' make the most heinous demon puke in disgust. So, it goes without saying that these individuals need to go. You're the Shinagami. Why don't you just kill them yourself? A curious expression on her face as she asked the obvious question. Before the blonde could answer, his wife did it for him. As powerful as he is, just like myself, he is not allowed to directly intervene in the affairs of mortals. Now, Satsuki was confused. Why? You two are the most powerful beings in existence. Why wouldn't you be allowed to intervene? The couple looked at each other before the Shinagami muttered. Not like telling her is going to change anything. Cammy stayed silent for a moment before agreeing with a nod. Tell me what the perplexed Duchiha asked. It was the Shinagami who answered. Truth be told, we are not the most powerful beings in existence. There is one other who is more powerful than both of us combined. In fact, he's the one who created us. Flabbergasted would be an understatement as to how Satsuki felt about that statement. What? Cammy nodded. Yeah, he doesn't have a name, not one that we know. Anyway, we only know him as the the creator. He created the universe we live in and created us to govern it for him. We basically have free reign to do whatever we want. Whereas the only real rule we have to follow is that we can't directly intervene in the world we govern. If we must intervene, then it has to be through a proxy. In this case, you Satsuki slowly nodded. She understood what they were saying, but she was finding it hard to believe that there was a being more powerful than the goddess of life and the god of death. Clapping his hands loudly to draw attention to himself, the Shinagami spoke. Now that that is out of the way, I believe that we should be sending you on your way now. Wait, when in particular will you be sending me back? The Shinagami gave a small smirk. Don't worry, you'll find that out soon enough. Before the Uchi could ask anything more, Cammy snapped her fingers and a portal opened up on the floor behind Satsuki. Bye-bye now. Try not to see us again too soon. All right. With this those parting words, Cammy pushed Satsuki into the portal. Not a moment after the Uchiah fell in did the portal close behind her. There were a few minutes of silence in the living room before the Shinagami sat back in his chair rubbing his forehead. What's wrong, dear? Ceasing the action of rubbing his forehead to look at his concerned wife, the Shinagami sat forward in the chair and interlocked his hands. "Cammy Chan," he started before she cut him off. "Uh-uh." Wagging her finger at him. "She's not here anymore, so drop the Cammy title. You know it makes me feel old, Kazuki [ __ ] The blonde playfully smirked. Technically, you are old, Sue. He had to quickly dodge a golden dagger aimed at his godly jewels. The pissed-off look on her face was worth it, though. Her hand still extended. Cammy spoke an all too sweet tone in her voice. Say that again, and the next time I won't<unk>t miss. Okay, whatever you say, Yurui Chan. taking a seat on the couch beside his wife. He wrapped one of his arms around her and pulled her in. She responded to this by laying her head on his chest and wrapping her arms around his midsection. "Now, what had you looking so worried earlier?" Yoruichi asked. The blond's expression fell. "I'm just wondering if we did the right thing in sending her back. What brought this on?" Her emotional state. Satsuki always tried to play the stoic tough [ __ ] who no one could phase. But we both know that she's almost as emotional as Narut was. Almost every choice she made, good or bad, was her letting her emotions cloud her judgment. And we both saw where her choices led. You fear that something like that may happen again. Kazuki nodded. It isn't outside the realm of possibility. We sent her back while she's still feeling guilty about what she did. While that may be a good motivator for her to not make the same mistakes, it could also lead to her making all new ones. Yoruichi nodded. I understand how you feel, but we just have to hope that things work out for the best. Or we may have to end up doing this all over again. Kazuki dryly added. Oh, I don't think you have much to worry about, Kazuki. An allnew voice spoke. Both divine beings looked toward where the voice came from. Realizing that it came from the dining room, they went to see who it could possibly be. Walking into the dining room, they were greeted with the sight of a white-haired, big-bodied, elderly man wearing a green and gold Howry over an army green robe with long beige sleeves that ended in gold cuffs. He was at the stove brewing what looked like tea. Standing in front of his wife with his arms folded, Kazuki confronted the stranger. Who are you and how do you know my name? The old man stopped what he was doing and looked fondly at the couple. It's been a long time since I've seen both of you. Kazuki, I see that your lovely wife has been taking good care of you, though your choice of clothing has me worried that you may be going blind. Kazuki grumbled, and Yurui couldn't stop the giggle that left her mouth. And you, Yoruichi, you looking just as beautiful as the first day I laid eyes on you. The old man finished. The temperature drastically fell as the killing intent of the god of death spiked. Opening his now blood red eyes with black scleras, Kazuki glared at the man. You have 5 seconds to tell me who the hell you are before I erase you from existence. The older man continued to smile before waving off Kazuki's wrath. No need to be feeling jealous now. I'm just an old builder admiring one of my own creations. The man's words struck a chord with the couple as they realized just who it was they were speaking to. Calming down, Kazuki whispered. Creator, this got the old man laughing that I am Kazuki, though these days I prefer to be called Iro. Now, as I said before, Satsuki will be just fine. He turned back to what he was doing as he continued to speak. A big reason why she went down the path she took was because she didn't have a strong enough anchor to hold her in place. Someone outside of her friends who would have been there for her and who would have led her from that path. She didn't have that the first time around. So, I took it upon myself to do that for her. It's the least I could do for her with what she has been through. Who did you pick? Yoruichi asked. Iro smiled as Kazuki told Satsuki. Don't worry, you'll find that out soon enough. He turned off the stove and took the kettle off. Now, care for some jinseng tea. >> That's all for now. If you enjoy this video, then please like, share, and do comments.
