The fourth shinobi world war had finally reached its climax. Fortunately, Aido had died long ago, but unfortunately, so had most of the Allied forces and all of Naruto's friends. The Tintales had been fully reborn, and Madara had no qualms about using it to attack Narudo repeatedly. Narudo, using the combined power of Sinjutsu and the Ninetailes chakra, had been able to keep the old Aiha on the ropes for most of the time. Since he was technically dead, Madara hadn't been able to seal the Tintales within himself. Though that was the only reason the old Achiha hadn't been able to completely destroy Narudo. Narudo had an idea to defeat the old Achiha and destroy the Tintales forever. Narudo extended his left hand and watched as his chakra, the Ninetales chakra, and his jutsu combined to create his most powerful technique. You've already lost, little one, Madara said as he rode a top the Tintal's head as if it were his own summoning. He was furious with so many people that he didn't even know what to do. That idiot Aido had started awakening the Tintales before gathering all the tailed beasts and that's why he was in this mess. Hashiama hadn't been any help since he'd tried to stop him with his legendary lineage limit would release. The last Uzamaki was infuriating him because he wouldn't just die. The Ninetailes had always been his personal toy, though now it seemed karma had finally caught up with him. But by far, what enraged him most was the simple fact that he wasn't alive, so he couldn't become the Tintale's new Genturiki, which meant he couldn't complete his final plan of subjugating the world. Sukuami Infanito, I've already made sure you couldn't become the new Tintales Genturiki. And I've already killed the Beo, so there's no way you can come back to life now. After I kill you, I'll seal you away for all eternity." Narudo said as a golden orb formed in his hand. Narudo could feel the power emanating from this new technique he had invented and was grateful that the other shinobi were far away, which meant none of them would be affected by it. "I'll kill you," the enraged Achiha shouted as he ordered the Tintales to begin forming its own tailed beast. Bontto annihilate that annoying brat. The Jubie only took a second to prepare its attack since it was already complete. It didn't waste time like when it was reborn. Narudo rushed forward with his new attack ready and using his amazing speed quickly outpaced Jubie's tailed beast bomb and rammed it with his new jutzu, provoking a chain reaction. A huge explosion erupted, completely destroying everything around him. But then the explosion turned into an implosion. Narudo felt the nine tales tearing at his body and wondered what was happening. Kurama, what's going on? Narudo shouted as he tried to resist being pulled into that strange vortex-like thing. It reminded him of the technical only a million times more powerful. And for some reason, deep in his stomach, Narudo had the feeling that he would not be transferred to the land of water if he let himself be absorbed by that thing. It's a dimensional rift, said Kurama's voice in Naruto's head. For some reason, the voice sounded worried, which greatly concerned Narudo. What do you mean by a dimensional rift? Narudo asked as he continued to lose ground against the thing. He noticed that Madara was having the same difficulties as him. But for some reason, the Tintales didn't seem to be affected by the dimensional rift. Yes, a dimensional rift. Your jutzu colliding with the Tintales jutzu must have opened a hole in space and time thanks to your spinning and grinding jutzu effect and the Tintal's divine power blending into the fabric of space and time. Kurama screamed as he felt himself being forcibly ripped from Naruto's body. "That still doesn't explain why they aren't attracting you and the Tintales," Narudo said. Inches from the entrance of the strange anomaly, he could see everything seeming to melt away, and the vast darkness appeared to have no end. The Tintales created this world to be unaffected by something like this. Since I was once part of the Tint Tales, this doesn't affect me either, but it does affect you. So, since I'm inside you, they're extracting me, so to speak. You and that accused Achiha won't be so lucky, said the Ninetailes as he began to lose contact with Narudo since he was already practically extracted. "What will become of me?" Naro asked, starting to feel scared. He wasn't afraid of dying, but he would like to see all his loved ones in heaven and not be trapped in some kind of dark limbo forever with an annoying Achiha. I'm not sure, but I'm sure you'll end up somewhere, Kurama said just before being completely extracted from Narudo and becoming solid again. He lowered his gaze and silently said goodbye to Narudo, his best friend, as he watched him and that damned aha be absorbed into the dark portal forever. As Narudo was pulled through space and time with the last person in the history of the world he would ever want to associate with, he witnessed something no one else had ever seen. something Naruto was certain of. He saw Madara's soul being extracted from his body and heading off to unknown places. But then his own soul also began to leave. But instead of escaping to wherever it entered, it entered Madara Aiha's body just before it began to turn to dust. Deep within the forest of Kanahagakur, a team of Kimo Shinobi walked through the forest with the utmost discretion and stealth, carrying a young redhead captive. Their captive was a young redhead with a peculiar lineage that allowed her to materialize her chakra, suppress it, or absorb it in vast quantities at once. Best of all, her chakra was so strong that not even the ninetailes could break it if there were enough of them. Her name was Kusha Usuzamaki, and most importantly, she was the Genturiki of the Ninetailed fox, granting Kimo a powerful weapon for the future and a new potent bloodline. They continued walking when something like dust began to swirl in front of them. They immediately became defensive as if something were a miss. What astonished them wasn't that someone had emerged from the strange dust, but that a person was made of dust. The dust, which originated from their feet, essentially created a human being before their very eyes. Suddenly, a fair-sy black hair, slightly tinged with blue, appeared from the dust. His hair reached his shoulders, and he wore the standard Achiha clan uniform, a black high collared shirt with the clan crest on the back, slightly open, and blue pants with bandages wrapped around his shins. Around his waist, he wore a sash containing a pouch presumably filled with his ninja tools. "Oh my god, what the hell just hit me?" Narudo said, his head held high as the pain of over a hundred years worth of memories. Memories that weren't his own flooded his mind. He remembered having a brother named Auno, an endless war, and so many other things he knew he'd never seen or done. He would have continued to dwell on these thoughts, but then one of the Kumo ninja decided to reveal his identity. "Who are you? What are you doing here?" the man asked, raising a tonto, ready to attack if the boy showed any hostility. He was shocked by what he saw next. What did you say? I'm sorry my head hurt so much and but that was all Narudo could manage before the kumo ninja pointed at him and shouted, "He's an aiha." This made Narudo glanced behind him thinking Madara was right there looking back and seeing no one. Even though his eyesight was surprisingly sharp all of a sudden, he looked back at the kumo ninja and was about to say something when one of them said, "If we catch him too, we'll definitely get a hefty reward." Which surprised Narudo. It was then that Narudo noticed the sad look in the eyes of the small red head, which were surprisingly the same as his own, and he realized that perhaps he wasn't there by choice. "Wait, why am I the same height as them when they're so much bigger than me?" Nar wondered. But he didn't have much time to ponder this as three Kumo ninja rushed toward him at high speed. Narudo saw them coming. But for some reason, he could anticipate their movements even before they arrived. When the Cumo ninja were upon him, Narudo didn't know what had happened. But his battle instincts kicked in, and he easily dodged a knife slashoverhead from the Cumo Ninja's tanto and grabbed him by the wrist. Narudo then twisted the ninja's wrist and snapped it, causing the cumo ninja to scream in pain. But Narudo caught his tanto in midair with his other hand and swiftly silenced him for good. Narudo found it strange that he could kill so easily. But the other kumo ninja were rapidly descending upon him and one of them was gesturing with his hands. Damn you, I'll pay you for that. Lightning style, lightning shock jutzu, shouted the kumo ninja as he pointed at Narudo with the five fingers of his right hand. Narudo watched as electricity danced around the cumo ninja's fingers before five bolts of electricity shot out from his fingertips and hurdled toward him at great speed. Narudo was astonished to see the lightning bolt hurtling towards him. Not because he thought it was beautiful, but because of how slowly it passed before his eyes and because he could suddenly see chakra. Narudo began to make hand gestures and when he finished shouted wind style great breakthrough jutzu while exhaling a powerful gust of wind. When the wind and lightning jutzu encountered the wind, it was dispelled. But the wind jutzu continued its course. By then, however, it was so weakened that it only knocked the cumo ninja down and slammed him against an opposite wall. Narudo spun around and plunged his tanto into another cumo ninja who had been trying to sneak up behind him. He coated his tanto with wind chakra, so the cumo ninja's armor couldn't stop the attack. The cumo ninja fell quickly and died. But Narudo grabbed the tanto's protective covering and shattered it. He saw the cumo ninja he had knocked down against the opposite tree begin to get up and again coated his tanto with wind chakra just before throwing it at the cumo ninja. The tanto flew easily through the air and pierced the cumo ninja's heart, killing him instantly. And then there was one, Narudo said, glancing at the kumo ninja who was now using the red head as a shield. It really bothered him that an adult would resort to such a thing. But he wasn't going to let it stop him. He was going to catch that bastard. That was for sure. Back off or the girl will have to deal with yours, you little Aiha monster, the useless ninja yelled, trembling with fear. He never imagined that a child, not even an Aiha child, would be capable of killing three adult Kumo Jonin so easily. He was terrified, but he was certain he would be safe as long as he had the girl hostage. Why do they keep calling me? It's not like I have the But that was all Narudo was thinking until a cold realization began to dawn on him. He quickly grabbed one of the kumo ninja's wakazashi and stared at the reflective metal. His blood ran cold at the sight of the two-tone shape of the dojutsu that had made his life a living hell. How, for God's sake, do I have the charing gone? I remember being dragged into that portal with Madara. But wait, could that be it? When we were in that portal, Madara's soul vanished and mine was pulled into his body. So, could I now be Madara Aiha? Narudo thought as he began to examine himself. Everything seemed exactly the same as the young Madara that Naro remembered. Narudo looked up and sighed. Why do these things keep happening to me? Well, since I have the dojitsu and the memories, I'd better make the most of them. Narudo thought as he looked into the Kumo Ninja's eyes. It was a big mistake for the man when he looked Narudo in the eyes because his body instantly tensed up. "Jing jutsu binding technique complete," Narudo said as he approached the kumo ninja, who could only move his eyes. Narudo could see the fear in the bastard's eyes at what was about to happen. But he didn't care and swiftly stabbed him in the skull, killing him instantly. The ninja fell to the ground dead, and Narudo looked at the red head, his face a mixture of awe and admiration. Are you all right? Narudo asked as he began cutting the ropes the Kumo ninja had used to bind her. They had apparently been in a hurry as the rope had cut into her skin, leaving it raw and bleeding from her wrists and ankles. "Incredible," the girl exclaimed, her eyes, which Narudo found incredibly beautiful, beginning to sparkle. Narudo noticed that when she tried to take a step, she grimaced, realizing she couldn't walk like that. The girl blushed instantly when Narudo lifted her up like a princess and began to stutter. "What are you doing?" she asked, though she was as red as her hair. "Well, obviously you can't walk, so I thought I'd carry you." "Where do you live so I can take you back?" Narudo said as he walked in the opposite direction from the Kumo ninjas. "He might not have known where she lived, but it was quite likely she lived in the opposite direction from those who had kidnapped her." Kohaa the redhead said which made Narudo stop dead in his tracks. He looked down and studied her closely. Although she was much younger, she looked very much like someone he loved dearly. Please be Mido Usuzamaki. Please be Mido, Naro thought as he looked at the girl. What's your name? Naro asked looking into her eyes. My name is Kusha Usuzamaki Databane. The girl, now called Kusha, shouted as she gazed into the beautiful dark eyes of her savior. She noticed his surprised expression when she heard her name and felt him tremble for a moment before correcting himself. When Naro heard her say his name, he almost fell over. The feeling in his legs vanished and his mind shut down for a split second to help him process the information. Though he managed to recover and avoid making a fool of himself. How is this possible? Narudo thought as he tried to piece together what he knew. He knew that he had somehow become trapped in the body of a chibi Madara Aiha and that he also had all of his memories. He knew that he had the sharing gone which only confirmed all this information and that he had traveled through the past because of a giant hole he tore in the fabric of space and time. Time. That must be it. I opened a hole in space and time. So now I'm back in the era when my mother was a child in the forests of Kenoha in the body of a chibi Madaraa Aiha and I appeared just as my mother was being kidnapped by Kimono ninja. Wait, wasn't this the moment when my mother and father met and fell in love? If so, where's dad? Narudo wondered. Hey, what's your name? I gave you my name, so what's yours? Kusha asked while not looking Nar in the eyes, but her blush was still there. Oh, sorry. My name is Narudo Aiha," Narudo said as he sighed to himself, thinking about how he would have to explain how he got there, who he was, and much more when he left Kusha in Kenoha. For some reason, Narudo wasn't sure he wasn't as sentimental or emotional as he had been before he arrived. Before, he probably would have collapsed and cried in his mother's arms, even if she hadn't known. Or he would have been terrified to find himself in Chibi Madara's body. But now, he simply ignored it. He just assumed it was because he was in Madara's body and that bastard was incredibly cold and heartless. Oh well, it's really a pleasure to meet you, Narudoan. Kushina said in a strange voice that Narudo didn't recognize, although he was surprised at how much he had blushed that night. Same here, Narudo thought he was thinking. Although I wish I could have met you much sooner. But he quickly banished those depressing thoughts and continued his walk towards Kenoha, undoubtedly with a major headache. As Narudo walked back towards Kenoha, a blonde blur could be seen running at impressive speeds towards them. And when it stopped, it was a fair-sai in his hand who looked ready to attack Narudo. "Wait, Minato's a good guy. He saved me from those kumo shinobi, so don't attack him." Cusha shouted, giving Manado a murderous glare. Minato seemed to understand instantly, stopping in his tracks and assessing the situation. Who are you? Manado asked, looking at Naro suspiciously. Narudo Aiha. And I assume you're Manado since that's what Kusha called you? Narudo said as he continued walking toward Kinoa. He was truly amazed at how much his emotions had been dulled since entering the young Madara's body. Are you an Aiha? Why didn't I see you at the academy? You're obviously the same age as Kusha and me. Manado asked as he followed them back to Kenoha. Obviously, I'm not from Kohaa. And of course, I'm an Aha. After all, I have the sharing gone, Narudo said, showing his sharing to Manado, which seemed to silence him for now. As they walked back to Kenoha in silence, Narudo reflected on his situation. Perhaps he could undo all the mistakes that had occurred in his timeline. He could stop the Achih massacre, prevent Aido from going berserk, protect Kusha from Aido if he continued to lose his mind, and so on. As they approached the massive gates of Kenoha, Narudo saw many ninja leaping through the shadows, thinking they weren't skilled enough to escape his gaze or his previous experience. Finally, a group of A&Bu landed in front of them and took Cusha to the hospital for treatment. She told Manado to go home since he didn't really know anything and then began escorting Narudo to the Hokag's office. When Narudo entered the Hokag's office, he saw the same man he had seen so many years ago. But now he had no age spots. The wrinkles had disappeared, and he gave off a strong and imposing aura that slightly surprised Narudo as he remembered the kind, gentle, and welcoming old man. I'll begin by thanking you for returning one of my jin to me safe and sound. We barely realized she'd been kidnapped, but I was worried it was too late. I thank you for returning Kusha, but why you did it and how you knew about the kidnapping is a completely different matter. The Hokag said, looking at Narudo with deadly eyes. He was surprised to see that Narudo didn't flinch for a second under his gaze. Let's get something straight right now. I had no idea about Kusha's kidnapping, so don't try to blame me. I was on my way to Kenoha when I ran into those Kumo ninja and Kusha, and that's where I rescued her," Narudo said, looking at the Hokag with a passive expression. He had faced men and creatures far stronger and more terrifying than the Hokag in his time. And if he could fight a monster like the Tintales without giving in, the Hokag couldn't even make him back down. "Why were you going to Kinoa?" the Hokag asked, observing the young Achiha. He still didn't understand where he came from, but it was obvious he was an Aiha since he possessed the sharing. "I wanted to join Kinoa because I was bored living alone," Narudo said as he surveyed the Hokag's office. He had to admit it didn't look too different from his own time. Though the book collection wasn't nearly as expensive as it had been back then. "Why would you want to join Kinoa?" the Hokag asked, watching Narudo as he surveyed his office. He didn't want to take any risks after his involvement in the Second Shobi World War. He was wary of anything that could pose a threat to his village. "My parents recently passed away, and my grandfather was from Kenoha, so I thought it would be interesting to come here and become a shinobi of the Hidden Leaf Village," Narudo said as if it were nothing out of the ordinary. "Who was your grandfather?" the Hokag asked, trying to unravel the mystery of Narudo Aiha. He nearly had a heart attack when he heard who Naruto's grandfather was. Or so he said. Madara Aiha, the greatest Aiha in history, co-founder of the Hidden Leaf Village, and former leader of the Aiha clan, Narudo said, flashing his famous mocking smile at the Hokag's reaction. He didn't particularly like to boast about Madara's already enormous reputation and ego, but it was necessary to demonstrate to the Hokag the image he was presenting. That's impossible. The first Hokag killed Madara during their battle at the Valley of the End, the Hokag shouted as he stood up and leaned over his desk to look Narudo in the eye. "Or at least that's what I wanted them to think," Narudo said, unfazed by the Hokag's outburst. He couldn't blame him for acting that way. It was a bitter pill to swallow. You know, we<unk>ll have to call a Yamanaka to verify this, right? The Hokag said, trying to calm his racing heart. The last thing he expected was for a descendant of Madara to appear so suddenly. I don't think so. Narudo turned and saw an older looking man with gray hair and onyx eyes. Narudo didn't know who he was, but he did know he was an Aiha. He wore the usual achi attire, though it was more of a robe than the battle armor most Aiha wore, which meant he must be a highranking Achiha. Perhaps an old man. What do you mean, Kagamisan? This kid is an outsider and we're at war. Do you really expect me to accept him into the Hidden Leaf Village just because he has the Sharing? He could be an enemy spy here to gather information or worse. The way the Hokag spoke told Narudo that he didn't like this man very much. and the way he pronounced San at the end of his name. And being the Hokag, well, the Hokag, it must mean that this man held a very high position for the Hokag to consider him an equal or even close. I don't expect you to make him a Hidden Leaf Village ninja because I'll make him an Aiha clan ninja. The air in the room grew cold. The Hokag and this Kagami stared intently into each other's eyes, and Narudo could have sworn he saw sparks. There was an obvious tension between them, but Narudo wasn't sure why. While it's not illegal for clans to have their own ninja, something they all do, it can be questionable when one of their members is seen as a threat to the Hidden Leaf Village. This kid not only appeared out of nowhere, but he also single-handedly killed several Jonan from the Hidden Cloud Village, meaning he's incredibly powerful for his age. Obviously, someone trained him, which means he's a direct threat to this village. By now, the Hokag was practically yelling at this man. The veins in his neck were bulging and his face was turning red. Narudo raised an eyebrow at his little performance, but kept his mouth shut. He felt this Kagami had a plan, and the best thing he could do right now was to keep quiet. That would be true if I didn't already know who he is. He comes from one of the Aiha strongholds we still maintain furnished and protected, and he's lived there his entire life. Obviously, he was trained by true Aiha and was on his way to the hidden leaf village to be initiated into the clan. He must have happened to witness the scene where the Kumo ninja kidnapped the Usuzamaki girl and rescued her. According to all these accounts, the boy isn't so much a threat as a hero. The Hokag looked furious, but he had no way to refute Kagami. He seemed to be mulling something over, glancing repeatedly at Kagami, then at Narudo, and then back at Kagami. Narudo raised an eyebrow but remained silent. Narudo wasn't stupid. He could see that Kagami had already won. And it seemed the Hokag had realized it too. Fine, but if you make even one mistake, it'll be the end of you, and I'll personally make sure of it. I know the story you just told me is a complete lie, but I see no reason for you to cover it up, so I'll let it slide for now. So, get out of my office. Kagami bowed his head barely an inch before gesturing for Narudo to follow him. Narudo stood up and mimicked Kagami's gesture before following him out of the Hokag's office. Why do I feel like I just let the devil into my house? The Hokag rubbed his temple with his fingers and went back to his papers, hoping that Narudo and Kagami wouldn't become an even bigger problem. Triple X outside of Trip X. Narudo walked silently behind Kagami through the village. As they did, Narudo took his time observing the village and had to admit it looked much better than after the Q.B's attack, the sonic sand invasion, and Payne's assault. But it still felt empty, as if something dark he hadn't seen before was there, lurking in the shadows, out of sight. Narudo shook his head and followed the Aiha into the Aiha clan compound. The compound was very different from what Narudo remembered, mainly because people actually lived there. Walking the streets were hundreds of Aiha wearing their dark battle armor, some bearing the Aiha clan crest on their backs. Narudo didn't know how he felt about the Aiha in general. In his childhood, they were the ones who punished him after he played a prank. Then, when he was a little older, his best friend, an Aiha, had tried to kill him for power. And then when he was even older, two other Achiha had teamed up to try to take over the world by attempting to resurrect the oneeyed god, the Tentales. This led Narudo to not feel much affection for them. But then again, he didn't know them beyond the crazy ones. So maybe he should give them a chance. As he sat down opposite the older Aiha, Narudo looked at him sternly, which told him he wasn't joking. He decided he wanted to find out everything he could about how an Aiha could have grown up far from the clan and whether there were others like him. "You have a lot to explain," Narudo sighed and began to tell the man an edited version of the truth. Izzuna, I already told you, "I don't need your eyes," Narudo said. even though he was looking through someone else's eyes. Even though the vision was still terrible as he stared at the blurry image of a man Narudo had never met, but who was still one of the most important people in his life. Narudo was in the body of a tall man with long, thick black hair and a blue fringe. He wore a black suit with simple red samurai armor over it. He had some kind of tape wrapped around his eyes and lay on a bed after what Narudo assumed had been a tough battle. Brother, even if you don't take my eyes, I will die. You will need flawless vision. If you want to protect the Aiha clan, if you don't take my eyes, the Aiha clan will be destroyed. Before us, the Aiha clan's leadership was divided into factions that constantly fought each other for control. If you don't take my eyes and I die, the clan will return to what it was, and the Synu will have one, said a kind-faced man, clutching his side, reened with blood. Tobaramaju had used a new technique for which Iuno was unprepared, inflicting several wounds. Izzuna was a fair-skinned man with spiky black hair tinged with blue tied back in a ponytail. His bangs framed his face on both sides. He wore the standard uchiha attire, a high-colored blue shirt with the uchiha crest on the back and blue pants with bandages at the ends. Around his waist, he wore a bandage belt that held a pouch presumably containing ninja tools. Isuna, I said in dash. But that was all Madara could manage before something pressed on a nerve in his shoulder. Before he lost consciousness completely, he heard his brother apologized for something he didn't quite understand. Several hours later, Madara began to awaken and rubbed his head. But strangely, his eyes, which had been a constant source of pain due to his mangjiku sharing, felt incredible. His eyes were so powerful that he was certain he could even defeat Hashiamaramaju. Lord Madara, I'm glad to see you've awakened, said an unknown medical ninja, also an Aiha. He wore the usual white uniform of medical ninjas, but on his back was the symbol of the Aiha clan. What happened? Madara asked as he removed the bandages from his eyes. He was surprised to see that everything was back to normal and not as blurry or impossible to see through as before. Lord Azuna knocked him out, sir, and had a medical ninja implant his eyes so he could see again. Unfortunately, Lord Azuna was unsuccessful as the injuries he sustained fighting the silver-haired Senu were too much for him and he died from blood loss. The medical ninja said, "But Madara quickly took him down as he ran through the Aiha compound." Narudo could feel everything Madara was feeling. He literally felt his heart breaking with every second. As Madara ran through the Achiha compound, Narudo couldn't help but beg him to run faster. Maybe if Madara ran faster, they could do something. Maybe they could save him. When they burst through the door used to prepare the Aiha bodies for burial, Narudo felt his heart break along with Madara's. For the brother he had never known lay there, dead as a doornob, a piece of cloth over his eyes. Madara and Narudo rushed toward Isuna's body. "Isuna! Hey!" Narudo shouted as he awoke, reaching out his right hand to grasp the seal. "Anyone who had looked into his eyes would have seen Madara's eternal maniku sharing swirling violently within them." Narudo awoke, clutching his chest with his left hand and his head with his right. This had been happening ever since he traveled back in time. While he slept, his mind played with Madara's memories, making him relive every aspect of his life. Narudo thought it was too much to ask for the perfect sharing, the knowledge, the skill, and free access to his abilities and jutzu. Everything has a price, he realized. And although Narudo now possessed Madara's most prized possession, his eyes, it would be difficult for him to truly understand the real Madara. Achiah. Narudo sat on a nice bed adorned with three large dark blue pillows, a large dark blue blanket and white sheets, all bearing the Aiha clan symbol, gazing into the darkness with his sharing gone. The room, he thought, was pleasant. It had an old-fashioned Japanese feel with wooden walls and floors, a sliding door made of paper and wood, and various pieces of furniture surrounding it. Narudo was particularly interested in the bonsai tree by his window as it was practically the only thing in the room that didn't bear the uchiha symbol. They have a strong clan spirit, I'll admit, Narudo thought as he got out of bed and headed to the kitchen. He'd been living at the Aiha clan compound for a month now, dedicating all his time to intense training, which was quite a feat for someone with chakra reserves as vast as Naruto. The Aiha clan leader had told him he had a month to hone his skills before they would subject him to an exhibition match so the clan could see what a true Aiha was capable of and what the late Madara Aiha was capable of. He put Kakashi's idea of using his shadow clones into practice to master the various training styles Madara knew as quickly as possible. He was amazed at how fast he had been able to master fire release and then wind release again. He also had clones that mastered other things so he could progress as quickly as possible. He had clones that mastered one of Madara's favorite kjutsu styles, his favorite taijutsu style, various wind and fire jutzu, jing jutsu, and most importantly, chakra control. Narudo was amazed at how easy things were for him now that he didn't have a giant chakra monster inside him sending pulses of chakra through his system to increase his chakra reserves, but also to completely screw him over for any form of real chakra control. However, he no longer had infinite chakra reserves like he had when he and Kurama had partnered. So, it really limited the number of clones he could make and how much he could get them to do. Narudo trained physically because shadow clones couldn't. and that reminded him of the countless hours he'd spent trying since no one wanted to teach him without getting anywhere. He remembered how little he'd trained and how lucky he'd been not to have been killed by the obviously much more skilled Madara of his time, nor by Aido, nor by other ninjas he'd encountered like Pain, Itachi. Although he wasn't actually trying to kidnap him, Kisame and so many others, Narudo was very lucky because Madara and his mind were so intertwined due to their shared memories. Narudo began to resent those who had abused him as a child and how little his sensei had trained him. He realized that Kakashi had spent all his time training Sasuke and had barely trained him at all except when ordered him to train Narudo, which he hadn't been much help with since he himself didn't even know wind release. Then it was the perverted toad Sanin who trained him next. And yet all he taught him was how to overcome low-level jingutsu, a little taijitsu, and the raising gan. Narudo realized that it was the toads who had trained him to be more than just a low-level tunin. At 16, they had taught him their special style of Taijutsu, Sinjjutsu. And it was there that he mastered his most powerful technique. And it was actually the Toads who had taught him what he knew about Jingutsu. Narudo was starting to think that maybe he didn't like Kenoha as much as he believed. They never loved him, and they only trusted him because he was their only hope. They started to love Sasuke as soon as he returned. when he had almost killed three clan heirs, a huga prodigy, and himself, teamed up with an S-class nuclear ninja, and done so many other things. But when he came back, suddenly he became their new hero. Narudo shook his head as he realized his thoughts were growing darker. He recalled his first day in the hidden leaf village back then, and how the Aiha clan had mixed feelings toward him. Some believed it was good that Narudo was there as it would mean a stronger ninja for the Aiha clan and it could mean that the Aiha clan would become even more famous if Naro were to reach the power of his supposed ancestor. However, there was another faction of the Aiha clan that wanted nothing to do with him. They believed that like his ancestor Madara, Narudo would try to take control of the clan and then lead them into an unwinable war or something like that. But Narudo simply ignored them and went on with his life. He knew he was overusing his shadow clone jutzu, but with his reserves, his powerful chakra, and his natural ability, it was almost a crime not to. Narudo also knew that in the future, he would have to be as strong as possible to stop the real Madara Aiah. So, he trained relentlessly. He hadn't realized he'd arrived in Kenoha during the second Shinobi World War, so he knew he would eventually be deployed since even children were used by ninjas in times of war. After Narudo finished drinking water to calm himself, he looked at himself in the kitchen mirror. He saw the eternal Mangji Sharinggon staring back at him. And to be honest, he wasn't surprised. He had seen through Madara's eyes the first night when he killed his best friend with his original Maniku Sharing. and he had guessed that sooner or later he would awaken to the eternal form. He sighed knowing what that meant. "Looks like I can add Manjiq Sharing training to my to-do list now that I have the eternal version," Narudo thought as he rubbed his temples. Living in Madara's constantly evolving body wasn't as easy as many believed. He had to act as if Madara had raised him. And on top of that, he was inside a body that wasn't his own. It was difficult to acclimate to this new body. But over time, Narudo improved. He had hoped not to receive those cursed eyes, for he knew they would betray his true identity to the rest of the Achihawk clan, at least physically. He knew instantly that the clan elders would see those eyes and be furious, for he was certain they would have remembered something like that. But what they would do remained a mystery to him. They might try to use him to increase the clan status and power. or they might try to kill him in revenge for what Madara had done to make them hate him so much. "I'd better go train," Narudo thought, knowing he wouldn't be able to sleep after the nightmare he'd just had. He never got to sleep again after one of the bad memories from Madara's life ruined his dreams. Narudo approached the wardrobe and took some of the clothes the clan had given him. Although the clan didn't like their grandfather, he was still an Aiha. And apparently that meant the clan had to take care of him, at least until he could fend for himself. That meant they had to buy him clothes, food, water, a place to stay, furniture, you know, the basics. Narudo now wore the standard Aiha clan attire for those not wearing Kenoha ninja clothing. He wore the usual Aiha clan garb, a black highcollared shirt with the clan crest on the back, which Narudo usually left slightly open, and blue pants with bandages around his shins. Around his waist, he wore a sash containing a pouch with his ninja tools. Narudo left his house and began walking toward the forest closest to his new home. Kagami had been very understanding of Narudo and his difficult situation. So, he had given him a very nice house deep in the forest surrounding Kinoa so he could live and train in peace. Narudo had been very grateful as this made it less likely that anyone would see him training. Narudo walked through the darkness of the night. It was a few hours before morning, but the sun had not yet risen to illuminate his world. As he walked, he was very aware of the Yanbu following him. They had been tracking him ever since he left the Hokag's office, which didn't surprise Narudo at all. Narudo was simply grateful for their large reserves as he could use a shadow clone to eliminate them at will because all they and by extension the Hokag knew about him was that he was just a very strong jin who had probably gotten lucky in defeating those Jonan from Kumo since the shadow clone he had used to deceive them was only practicing chakra control as Narudo didn't want it to accidentally die and reveal his little plan. When Narudo finally arrived at his training grounds, he began stretching. He had been formulating a plan regarding what to do and how much to alter the future. And he soon realized that while he could prevent Aido from going berserk and becoming Toby, it didn't mean Madara simply wouldn't find someone to help him complete his Eye of the Moon plan. He wasn't sure what to do about it. If he prevented Aido from becoming Toby and Madara found someone to help him complete his plan, Narudo would be at a severe disadvantage in countering the real Madara. Narudo was certain that at least one of those Zetsu clones knew about the impure world reincarnation. So, killing Madara and his army of 100,000 Zetsu clones by himself wasn't the best course of action in his opinion. He didn't know what he would do with Madara, but he was certain he would make sure Aido never had the opportunity to kill his mother if he had any intention of doing so. Narudo began by creating a couple hundred shadow clones to start. He knew that while the clones couldn't help him become physically stronger, they did transfer memory and muscle memory, making them perfect for mastering the stances, styles, and movements of his taitsu and kjutsu. Another hundred clones mastered water release as Narudo began his training. While the last clone mastered the jutzu he had taken from the Aiha clan library. He remembered that Madara at his peak could use even highle jutzu with one hand. While he needed time to prepare them and had to go through many of Madara's long chains of hand signs to use them. He knew that with mastery he wouldn't need to use all the hand signs and eventually wouldn't even need to use both hands. He was determined to learn everything Madarin knew and then be able to do it even better than him. "All right, time to get started," Narudo said to himself as he strapped weights to his arms and legs. "I need to find a better way to increase my strength," Naro thought, remembering how strong Mighty Guy had been. But he knew he was building his body incorrectly. Since he was only exercising certain muscles and leaving others untrained, he would have to find a solution. After a few hours of training, Narudo was growing tired of the intense workout and started walking home to get something to eat when he felt a strange urge to go out and find something different from what he ate every night. He discovered that he didn't love ramen with the same obsession he felt in his body. But he still had a deep respect for food. So, he decided to visit Tini's father to see if his son had surpassed his father or if his noodles were better than his sons. As Narudo walked through the Aiha clan compound about to leave, he heard an argument coming from the main gate. He saw the two guards who usually protected the entrance arguing with someone. And if they had their necks bent, it was someone quite short. Narudo decided to investigate when he saw that it was actually his mother, Kusha Usuzamaki. I've told you for the hundth time this month, no one who isn't in Aiha or on official leaf business is allowed inside the Aiha compound. If your so-called friend really wanted to see you, he would have told us, "But he hasn't, so get out of here," one of the guards shouted. He'd had to chase this brat away every single day for a whole month, sometimes two or three times a day. The Aiha was yelling at a little girl in his childhood, a girl with a round face that with her red hair made her look like a tomato. She wore a sleeveless kimono style yellow blouse fastened with a green obi over a short-sleeved mesh shirt along with dark blue shorts and brown shinobi sandals. She had a slender but feminine build, fair skin, violet eyes, and fiery red hair. A common trait among members of the Uzumaki clan with strands framing both sides of her face and a black clip parting her hair on the left. In Naruto's opinion, she was very beautiful and he couldn't understand why other children would insult her appearance when she was already so lovely. Why won't you let me see him? I know he's in there. After all, he's an aiha. What's wrong with that? Why can't I see my friend? Kusha demanded, stamping her foot and giving the aiha her signature murderous glare, preventing him from entering the compound. It usually worked on people, but the red eyes with black coma-like markings gave the aiha a terrifying look that Kushin's glare completely overpowered. For the last time, I said, but that was all he could manage before Narudo made his presence known. Everyone turned and saw Naro standing there looking annoyed. He hadn't known Kusha had come to see him, and it bothered him that the Aiha had prevented her from seeing him and hadn't even had the courtesy to at least let her know. What's up? Narudo asked, giving them his signature achi glare. He saw the happiness on Kusha's face and the irritation on the achias. But he ignored them for Kusha's sake as he approached her. "Hey, it's been a while," Narudo said, smiling at Kusha. He hadn't expected her to jump into his arms like a shot. "Narudo, do you have any idea how difficult it's been to come see you?" Kusha asked, giving him that look. Narudo instantly became flustered and managed a nervous smile and an equally nervous laugh. "Sorry, I didn't know anyone was looking for me," Narudo said, glancing back and glaring at the two Aiha, who returned his gaze. It seemed his clan still hadn't quite accepted him. "What? I've been trying to talk to you for a month. They said you had to let them know you were having visitors, but if you didn't know he was coming, how are you going to tell them?" Kusha looked very upset, but Narudo just smiled and gently rubbed her head, which made her blush. Yes, I understand that many people think it's silly, but the Aiha clan is very protective, so it's best to leave it alone for now. How about I treat you to lunch as an apology for making you wait so long? Kusha seemed to perk up at the thought of a free lunch, and a shiver ran down Naruto's spine when Kusha looked at him again. Well, I guess I could forgive you this time, but you have to keep your promise of a free lunch. That was all she said as she dragged Narudo along in a direction Narudo knew all too well. It was funny to watch the villagers watching the scene they were creating. Narudo wasn't sure how to react to a member of the usually cheerful Achiha clan being dragged through the streets by the Ninetailes Genturiki, who had stars in her eyes for reasons unknown to them. They finally arrived at a rainous stand that even in Naruto's time hadn't changed. Narudo wondered briefly if it had been destroyed during the Q.B's attack or if it had simply been rebuilt in the same way. Upon entering the ramen shop, Narudo saw a burly man with a stubble. He was much larger than he'd expected, but he guessed he must have been a ninja specializing in taijitsu or that he simply enjoyed working out. The bar was practically the same with wooden floors, a counter with stools lined up around it, and the same basic paintings on the walls. Oh, Kusha, my favorite customer. How are you? Ah, I see you brought a friend this time. And what a friend it is. Another Achiea. Wow, Kusha, you sure know how to befriend those who are enthusiastic, don't you? Haha. The old man started cooking a large amount of noodles while laughing at his own joke. Narudo wondered who Kusha's other Aiha had befriended, but he didn't inquire. Yes, and guess what? He promised to buy me all the lunch I could eat. Kusha beamed with joy as she said this and began murmuring the flavors of different kinds of ramen. Narudo hadn't even known some of them existed until then. But that wasn't the strangest thing. The strangest thing was when the old man confronted her and began speaking in a sad voice. Poor man. You have no idea of the horrors you've brought into your pocket. Narudo was startled, but his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when the man poured all his ramen into a kettle. Narudo could only speculate that his mother consumed as much ramen, or even more, than he did when he was young. Narudo sat and watched, fascinated, as Kusha, who had tripled her own weight in ramen, spun rice. He briefly wondered if Araka had felt like this when he'd spun him rice after doing something remotely impressive. When he finished and Teni's father handed him the bill, he nearly fainted. "It looked like he wouldn't be buying anything new this month with the little money he had left." "I'm never taking you there again," Narudo said as he left the ramen stand. Kusha laughed and her face flushed slightly, but other than that, she seemed to be much more amused by Naruto's suffering than by her own embarrassment. Haha. Well, I love ramen and when I start eating it, I tune out everything until it's gone. It's like my weakness because I can't resist the salty smell of delicious ramen. By then, Kusha had a far away look, a dreamy expression, and a thin thread of saliva trickled from her mouth, which made Naro laugh. Hey, don't laugh. Kushin's hair began to twitch like snakes, and her gaze turned menacing, signaling to Narudo that he should be careful, or a crazy Usuzamaki woman would pounce on him like a plate of rice. Narudo then decided to change the subject. So, who's the other Aiha you brought? Kusha seemed to forget about Naruto's laughter, much to Naruto's delight, and adopted a surprised expression. You mean he hasn't spoken to you yet? Narudo raised an eyebrow and shook his head. The only Aiha he'd actually spoken to was Kagami, the leader of the Achiha clan, and those two guards, but other than that, he hadn't spoken to anyone in the past month. Wow, I can't believe it. Makoto was always going on about how much she idolized Madara Aiha for his strength and for leading his clan as best he could. So, I thought she'd have been bombarding you with questions, training challenges, and all sorts of things. It's really weird. I wonder what she's been up to this past month because I haven't seen her around here either. Narudo knew he'd heard the name Mikoto before, but he couldn't place her. Obviously, she'd already died in his time, killed by Itachi or Aido during the Aiha clan massacre. So, how could he have had the slightest idea who she was? The only Aihan Narudo knew were Madara, Aito, Sasuke, Itachi, and Shers. Who was this Makoto? Kusha and Narudo continued wandering aimlessly, lost and thought about things that were both so close and yet so different. While Narudo was still trying to figure out who Makoto was, Kusha pondered what Makoto was up to. She had been quite animated, which was astonishing for an Aiha. When talking about Madaraa Aiha, even though Kushina only knew a little about him, such as that he had once been the leader of the Achiha clan during the war and was considered the only equal to Hashiama, something no one else could claim. She was worried about her friend because there was no explanation for why she wasn't asking Narudo any questions. At that moment, a stoneeyed Achiha appeared before them using the standard technique for flashing the blade body from Kohaa. He looked normal for an Aiha with black eyes and hair, a Jonan jacket, and a black suit underneath. Narut Aiha, Kagami Sama, and the Aiha elders await your presence. You must present yourself before them for the exhibition and to determine your position within the Aiha clan. He seemed about to leave, but Narudo decided to ask him a question. Wait, can my friend come too? I haven't been able to see her all month, and we're just starting to catch up. The Aiha seemed unsure of what to say, but finally made a decision. While Kusha seemed very happy that Narudo had remembered her and wanted to spend more time with her. You can bring her with you, but both the elders and Kagami sama might ask her to leave. So, it's up to you where you want to take her or not. After that, the Aiha disappeared into another leaf body flicker. So, you want to come and watch me beat up a real Achiha? Kusha grinned from ear to ear, inwardly chuckling at Naruto's joke. He really wasn't like the other Aiha since he didn't have a stick up his ass like the other members of the Dojutsu clans, Achiha and Huga. Hell yeah. Narudo grinned and they both ran towards the Aiha clan to show the other Aiha what kind of ninja Narudo really was. Narudo and Kusha were sitting in the Aiha clan's main house. It was very beautiful and a bit old-fashioned compared to what Narudo was used to. The windows were made of a paper-like material, and all the doors slid open, though Narudo didn't know how they worked since, as far as he knew, they didn't have knobs to slide silently. The roof was covered with old-fashioned tiles, and each door and window featured the Aiha clan's fan design, their symbol. All the woodwork was of the highest quality, and the house resembled a mansion with countless rooms. At the back of the mansion was a large dojo with a slight incline where people sat on their knees, which Narudo found annoying since a chair would be much more comfortable, but it wasn't his house, so he didn't complain. The dojo had three entrances, one on the right, one on the left, and the back. The front entrance was where the incline was located, and where a giant aiha fan symbol was painted on the wall. When they entered the dojo, they were told to kneel on the hard wooden floor and wait for eight very old men and one rather old man to stop staring at them. Narudo was somewhat annoyed as he thought it was an important meeting, but he just stood there waiting for these jerks to show up. Kagami had the decency to appear, but the elders didn't seem to possess the quality Narudo had suspected. From what he'd learned about the Aiha clan, they were constantly at war with themselves, even during clan wars. Only with a super powerful leader like Madara, who could keep them all under control, had they been able to function as a unified group. But before Madara, the Aiha clan had been at war with itself over, you guessed it, power. I'm so bored, Kusha complained as she rocked back and forth, her knees about to give out. Narudo felt sorry for her. He remembered when he was forced into the academy and told to stand still day after day, feeling like his body was going to break from all the strain from the excess energy he possessed due to his Usuzamaki heritage and the Q.B. sealed inside him. Just hold on a little longer and if the elders don't arrive soon, we'll leave. Kush seemed surprised that Narudo would do something like this for her. She knew that in the Uamaki clan where everyone treated each other like family, things like this didn't happen unless there was a compelling reason. But she also knew that wasn't the case in other clans, especially the Aiha, who were very powerful and only loved respect and power, and to disrespect them. Well, let's just say it took a lot of power. She smiled knowing that Narudo would do this for her. Excuse the inconvenience, Narudo San Kushan, but please bear with me a little longer. I'm sure the elders have a good reason for being so late, Kagami said. But his tone betrayed his fury. It was bad enough that the elders disrespected a member of their clan, but it was even worse that they disrespected an emissary from a foreign land, the village hidden in the whirlpools, and him, the leader of the Aiha clan. Let's forget about them and hold the meeting ourselves. They obviously don't think it's worth being there, so why not ignore them and move on? Kagami smiled slightly at Naruto's suggestion. Nothing would upset the elders more than knowing that something serious might have happened and they weren't involved. They'd complain and complain, but no one would say a word to them. Let's see if they forget to greet him. What a great idea, Narosan. I brought you here because within the Aiha clan, there's a ranking system similar to Kenoa's. Kinoa uses its ranking system with Jinnon, the lowest rank. Chunin, beginners. Jonin, strong and experienced ninja. Yinbiu, ninja, strong both individually and as a group. And finally, the Hokag, the strongest ninja in the Hidden Leaf Village. This system ensures that the right ninja get the right jobs and minimizes losses for the village. It's the same in the Aiha clan and other clans. It would be foolish to give the Hokag all our power and keep none for ourselves. If we did, Konoha would learn from our powers and abilities, like the body expansion technique from Akimichi, the secrets of the Hugabyakugan or our extensive ninjutsu library. And believe me, they would take it if they could, but the clans would fight back and lead to the destruction of the village they keep at a distance. The reason you've been summoned here is because we need to see where you fit into this system. Narudo raised an eyebrow at that and Cushian's jaw dropped. Narudo hadn't realized how complex the clans were. He hadn't yet finished absorbing and organizing Madara's memories and wondered what else he'd missed. He also hadn't noticed how divided Kohaa was. According to Kagami, it seemed Kenoha only cared about clan power and didn't respect individuality, something Narudo could understand. Since Kenoha was known as the village where everyone was supposed to be equal, therefore, the clan's reluctance to share their techniques and traditions could be seen as a conflict of interest and power struggles. How will I find my place in the Aiha clan? Narudo knew clans weren't as small as Kenoha. I mean, for God's sake, he didn't even know tree walking existed before his life was in danger, let alone what it was for. Kenoha hadn't prepared him for the world. He only survived thanks to his wits and the fact that the QB healed him whenever it wanted. We'll put you through a series of exercises to discover what you're capable of both physically and mentally. You'll push yourself to the limit. Then we'll put you in a hypothetical situation and determine what you'll do to see if it's acceptable for leadership. Then we'll give you your ranking. Seriously. Narudo nodded. But Kusha seemed lost, which made Naro smile. So there will only be two tests. Naruto was curious to know why there were only two when there were so many things that in his opinion needed to be known about someone before allowing them to be promoted. Well, actually there are three. You'll have to fight someone of my choosing and demonstrate your leadership skills, but also your adaptability in addition to some other secret tests that we won't tell you about. Remember, you're not trying to become an Aiha, but an Aiha ninja. So that means that even if you do terribly, you'll still be in the Aiha clan. You're supposed to be trying to become a ninja of our clan, which means your performance will determine your placement. Kagami stood up and left. Seeing him leave, Narudo and Kusha stood up and started to follow him. Outside, there was a large clearing with posts for canai training, a large pond to one side, and a forest behind the clearing, meaning the training that could be done there was virtually limitless. One could even train for the desert if the sand dunes were any indication. So, who will I fight? I hope it's not you because I won't hold back just because of your age. Narudo smirked smuggly as Kagami glared at him, clearly irritated. I'm not old. Kagami shouted in a tone quite unlike that of an Aiha. Kusha was so surprised she looked like she might turn to stone, but then she burst into laughter and laid down on the ground, clutching her stomach. Even Narudo started laughing, which gave her an aura of peace that made her feel good being with him. "Well, you have gray hair, Mr. Whiskers," Narudo said, pointing at the gray hairs in Kagami's hair, which made him look super annoyed. "Now I wish I were your opponent," Kagami said in a gruff voice as he led them to the training field, where there was a beautiful young woman who looked like an elongated version of what he was wearing. She was very beautiful and had many assets that other women would kill for. She was somewhat the opposite of Kusha in many ways. Where Kusha's hair was a beautiful shade of red, this girl's hair was a lush shade of black. Kusha's eyes were full of happiness and had a fierce edge. This girl's eyes were coal black, though they held a glint that told Narudo she was cunning and liked to mess with people. Her skin was as pale as the moon and completely flawless. Kushin's skin was also flawless, but it was a bit more tan than this girl's. Overall, she was very beautiful, though Naro still wondered where he had met her in his past life. Narudo, you'll meet Makoto, my daughter. You really will. But that was all Kagami managed to say before Cusha shrieked, sprinted forward, and knocked her to the ground. It was quite funny to see another Aiha normally so affectionate act like that stick up his but wasn't there for a change. Oh my god Makoto Chan where have you been? I haven't seen you in months. Kushina shouted as she basically hugged the poor girl who looked like she was suffering from whiplash on the floor. Um Kushina Chan I think she'll need some air soon. Narudo said as he watched from the sidelines with Kagami. When Kusha noticed her friend's normally pale skin turning blue, she began to panic. Oh no, I killed her. I'm a murderer. Why did I kill my best friend? It was funnier because of the way Makoto was introduced and Kusha was giving her exaggerated and super dramatic speech. Is it always like this? Kagami looked at Narudo who simply smiled and nodded. Yeah, she's a bit dramatic, but she's one of those people who once they're gone, you realize how much they meant to you," Naro said. Kagami nodded and smiled slightly as she watched the scene with interest. Finally, they managed to get Makoto back to her old self and Kusha to stop complaining about her drama. As I was saying before that little incident, this is my daughter, Makoto, and she will be your opponent. I know she may look young, but my daughter is a prodigy like no other, and I'm sure she'll give you a good fight. Kagami seemed very pleased with himself. Narudo could see that he was very proud of his daughter, but he could only sigh and rub his head. Wow, another so-called prodigy. Why am I not surprised? How many does this clan think they can create and then call prodigies? Narudo thought as he nodded and stood on the other side of the training field in front of Makoto. Begin," shouted Kagami. And instantly, Makoto went on the attack. She was faster than Narudo had anticipated, quickly summoning two handfuls of shuriken and throwing them with precision. Narudo swiftly dodged them and drew a canai just in time to block a stab to the girl's stomach. She must have unleashed the shurikens, hoping to distract him and then deliver a fatal blow with a close-range attack. Unfortunately for her, Narudo saw through her deception and was able to defend himself. Almost, but not quite, Narudo said, but his smile nearly vanished as that same glint in his eyes began to glow. Narudo jumped back instantly, just in time as another Makoto emerged from the ground with a rising cany. Shadow clone jutzu combined with shuriken jutzu as well as the earth element underground projection fish technique. Well done. Narudo was very pleased to see that this girl wasn't the fraudulent prodigy he'd expected. The only thing he found truly strange was her fighting style so far. It reminded him of another prodigy he'd met. "Huh? You haven't seen anything yet?" shouted Makoto as she reviewed the hand signs. "Earth release. Earth corridor!" shouted one of the Makoto's. The earth began to shift beneath Naruto's feet, creating a dome above and around him until only a passage remained. At the far end of the passage stood the other Mikoto, who had just reviewed some hand signs. Fire release, fire corridor, shouted the clone. And then a powerful beam of fire shot toward Narudo and the Earth Dome. The Earth Dome prevented Narudo from escaping and also increased the effectiveness of the fire jutzu. Narudo was quickly reduced to ashes. He wasn't that strong, said Makoto as she left the field. Triple XX concagami. Why Kusha? Triple X. Oh my god, he killed him. He killed my Narok Coin. Kusha was about to cry when she heard Kagami sigh in exasperation. She was about to yell at him until she heard what he said. That girl still has a long way to go if she hasn't realized it yet. That filled Kusha with hope. She quickly glanced toward the battlefield and saw Makoto deactivate her sharing and walk toward them. Triple XX con Makoto. Why Naro X? Makoto retreated from the battlefield with an angry expression. She had hoped for better. She had thought of someone with her pedigree and the ability to defend herself against her shurikens and shadow clone. But then she turned into a coward for no reason. I expected more, she said aloud. But then something surprised her. So you wanted more? We, who am I? Deny a lady's wishes. Makoto spun around but only received a sharp punch to the face. It hurt, but she was stronger than that and quickly got up to launch a counterattack, but then a knee strike hit her in the side and she gasped for air like an angry wife. Makoto hadn't fallen and tried to dodge, but Narudo wasn't going to give her that chance. He quickly grabbed her by the shirt and slammed her against a tree. You think you're the only one who can use the shadow clone jutzu? Wham! He punched her in the face again. You think that just because you have that fully developed sharing gone, no matter what I do, you'll be able to predict and anticipate it, right? Wham! He punched her in the cheek again. "Let me tell you a little secret. You could have the gaze of God, and you still wouldn't do you any good if you let this absurd pride and ego control you." "Wam!" Narudo punched her in the chest. He wanted her to know that just because she was a woman and the daughter of the main family meant nothing to him. She was just another spoiled brat who thought that learning a little faster somehow made her better. Narudo respected determination, not this selfish garbage. You'd better learn fast because when you become a diploloyid, those enemy ninjas won't be as forgiving of you as these ninjas around here are just because you're the daughter of the Aiha clan leader. Narudo said right before punching her again. After that, he got tired of her and threw her to the ground. Makoto felt intense pain, both physical and emotional. Yes, her body was wrecked from the beating Narudo had given her, but what he implied was far worse. Were you all really holding back because of who my father was? Did you let me win and then mock me when I turned my back? If so, how can I ever show up again? I'm a daddy's girl who can't do anything without help. She began to cry silently. She expected Narudo to insult her for showing such weakness. But what he did gave her hope. A great man once told me there are two kinds of geniuses in this world. Those born with talent and those who strive to acquire it. I think he was right. Those who achieve it through blood, sweat, and tears will always surpass those who are born with it. Remember, you can achieve anything. Be anyone you want to be if you dedicate yourself completely. I know you're used to being pampered, but I see you have a real heart. It would be a waste to throw it away just because you realized you weren't a gift from God to the ninja world. I bet if you really put in the effort, you'd be one of the greats," Narudo said, looking her in the eyes before turning and walking away. Although Makoto felt pain, she felt happy. She felt she had found something, or perhaps someone who would understand her better than anyone else. and it comforted her to know that she finally had a purpose in life instead of just being the clan chief's daughter, which frankly was extremely difficult. Triple X concagx. Kusha glanced nervously at Kagami, thinking he would be furious that someone had so brutally beaten his daughter. But to her surprise, he seemed happy. Kusha thought perhaps he didn't care, but then Kagami looked at her and smiled. I hope Narokuan beat the crap out of that stick Makoto shoved up his ass so he can finally become the woman he was meant to be. Kusha thought her heart would stop and she'd be speechless as Kagami chuckled. Well, let's go talk to Narudokuin and see if he's ready for his next exam. As Kagami walked away, Kusha called after him. Hey, what about your daughter? Are you just going to leave her like that? Kusha looked indignant, thinking that Kagami would leave her there with her serious injuries. The other Achiha will take her to the doctor any minute now. Kusha looked confused, but when she looked back to where Makoto was supposed to be, she saw that Makoto had disappeared. Maybe we're not as alone as I thought. Kusha thought as she followed Kagami to reunite with Narudo. Triple X normal point of view. Triple X. Well, that was fun. Narudo said sarcastically, giving Kagami an annoyed look. What's up, Naro Coin? Kagami's voice was playful and condescending at the same time. A feat only an Aiha or a Huga could pull off with such a natural expression. You used me to bring your arrogant daughter to her senses, didn't you? Kusha gasped as she looked at Kagami, who just laughed while scratching her hair with a smile on her face. Well, looks like you got me. But Makoto is strong. I wasn't lying about that. And you proved you are, too. So, all iss well that ends well. Narudo rolled his eyes and crossed his arms, giving Kagami his own achi glare. She was very skilled at ninjutsu, knowing at least two elemental techniques and a Jonan level jutzu. But I'm sure that was only due to her imitation abilities, not actual training. Mentally, she was just a spoiled brat, thinking she was good. If it weren't for her sharing, I'd classify her as a low or mid-level tunein at best. Kagami nodded and began leading them toward the dojo. Yes, but that's why I did it. You have to prove your meddling. And I have to teach my daughter a hard lesson. Ever since you arrived, she's done nothing but repeat that she'll defeat Madara Aiha's descendant and become stronger than even our eldest Achiha. I encourage her to reach for the stars. But with that attitude, she'll never take off. So I needed you because no matter what I did, she wouldn't have listened to me. Narudo had ignored him and was talking to Kusha, which greatly annoyed Kagami. "I was so worried about you. I thought you had really died," Kushina said as she held Naruto's arm and gripped it so tightly that Narudo feared his arm would lose circulation. "Hey, don't worry about me. Besides, you saw it from the side, and you still didn't realize I used a shadow clone and replace myself with it. Looks like someone could use a little extra training." After that, the grip on Naruto's arm increased tenfold, making Naro strained to feel anything with him. "Well, if I need more training, then I'll need someone to train with. I hope you're willing to help me." Although it was a casual way of asking for help, the firm grip on his arm told Narudo that it wasn't wise to deny him what he wanted. Yes, of course. I'd love to help you, Narudo said, sighing in relief as the pain and numbness disappeared along with that damned deadly grip she had on him. Good. Make sure you're at the Senju compound early tomorrow, Kusha said as she ran off. About 10 m behind him, she stopped and glared at him. If not, was all she said before whistling a cheerful tune as she left. Damn, it's scary, said Narudo, massaging his arm. The situation didn't improve with Kagami, who was laughing hysterically alongside Narudo. "I see you've already been whipped," Kagami said as she fell to the side, still laughing. Naruto's face turned red with embarrassment. "Shut up, old man!" Narudo yelled as he glared at Kagami, who jumped up and got very close to Naruto's face before screaming. "Shut up, weakling." That really annoyed Narudo because he'd been called that his whole life, and he hated how short he'd been as a kid. He'd grown taller with age, but it wasn't that bad. They continued arguing for several minutes before Narudo retreated to his room and fell asleep. Damn, it had been a long day, but he was happy to have been able to spend time with his mother or his spirit mother since he no longer had anything of his physical body left, only his soul, which was a baby with pure Uzumaki powers. I wish I could understand why Makoto's fighting style was so similar to Itachi's. They're very alike, but Itachi was always more cautious and kept his distance until he knew exactly what to do. Makoto's style seems to be the same, but the opposite. She seems to prefer dictating the pace and trying to defeat her opponents with her skill rather than her intelligence. "Perhaps that will change now that she knows she's not as good as she thought," Narudo thought as he fainted on the bed with a smile. Narudo was deep in one of Kohaa's forests, staring at a large tree. If someone saw the strange expression on his face and the tension in his muscles, they would probably think he was trapped in a horrible jing jutzu, as nothing else could naturally produce that expression. Narudo stood in a clearing about 15 m in circumference, a flat patch of land covered only in grass. Around him, trees blocked the view for miles around, making it an ideal spot for training and things you didn't want anyone to see you practicing. The sky was a beautiful blue, cloudless, yet the sun wasn't intense. It was warm and relaxing, accentuated by the gentle breeze that drifted in now and then. "Damn it!" Narudo yelled as he sat cross-legged, a look of annoyance on his face. All day, he'd been straining his manu sharing Madaris, staring at the same damn tree, trying to force it to vanish. Narudo remembered how devastating the technique had been when Aido used it. And he only had access to Kimui in his right eye, not the long range version Kakashi had in his left. The only real reason they'd been able to hurt Aido was because Kakashi could vanish into Aido's subspace and fight him. And because upon becoming the Tintales Genturiki, he'd somehow lost the ability to use space-time ninjutsu. Narudo wanted that power and all the other abilities that came with it. But so far, he hadn't even been able to vanish a fly, let alone a tree. What am I doing wrong? Aido made it look so easy, and I can't even get the damn technique to work. Narudo shouted as he tore some grass from the ground and threw it into the air. He watched with distant interest as the gentle breeze caught it and carried it away. At that moment, an idea hit him like a freight train. What if I haven't unlocked Kimui in either of my eyes? According to Madara's memories, it seems you can't use Tsukui until you've awakened Amadarasu, and you can't use Susenu until you've awakened both. Perhaps I have to awaken Kimui before I can even begin to use it," Naro thought as he stared at the spot where he'd plucked the grass. He rubbed it with his hand and patted it a few times before standing up. Well, there's no point in wasting any more time on this controversy. If I can't use Cami, or at least not yet, I won't worry about it. That's probably true for Sher Sui's Cotto Amitsuki, too. But of course, even Aido couldn't use that jin jutsu. Thank goodness. Narudo was about to start practicing amiturasu when he heard laughter behind him. Instantly, Narudo froze, realizing that he'd been so focused on using Kim Yui that it hadn't even occurred to him to pay attention to his surroundings. You know you talk to yourself a lot. You know that's a sign you're crazy, right? When Naro turned around, he was surprised. There was a girl, probably about the same age as Narudo, looking at him with an amused expression. She wore a Kinoa forehead protector, but her shirt bore the N clan symbol, leading Narudo to believe she was actually a N. Her hair only reached her shoulders, but a long strand of it hung down over her face. It was dark, not jet black like Makoto's, but a dark chocolate brown. Her eyes were the same chocolate brown as her hair, and she had a light tan, though her skin was smooth and flawless. She wore a mesh undershirt beneath her gray Narac clan shirt, but her tight ninja pants accentuated her curvaceous figure. She had a well-developed chest and buttocks and beautiful pregnant hips that made Naro raise an eyebrow. She also carried two pouches, presumably for ninja tools, and wore black ninja sandals. Yes, but I'm such an interesting guy that it doesn't surprise me that I can have an interesting conversation even with myself. Narudo was pleased to see her laugh. He didn't know why, but he had a feeling she was stressed and needed to laugh. Or maybe you're so lonely you can't find anyone to talk to, so you just talk to yourself. This time it was Naruto's turn to laugh. This girl was smart and quickwitted, which reminded him of Kusha. Ah, yes. He knew she'd like it. Haha, maybe. My name is Narudo Aiha. And you are? Narudo extended his hand and the girl looked at him to make sure there was nothing to worry about. He was handsome. She'd give him that. And he wore the Aiha clan uniform very well. She was curious why he wasn't wearing a forehead protector since he had a fully mature charing gone. And if what his clan mates told her was true, then that would mean he was more than a capable ninja. So passing the academy shouldn't have been difficult for him at all. She really liked his eyes. While instead of looking like two pieces of dark coal with a condescending gaze like other Aiha had, Naruto's eyes looked like two pieces of jet black with warmth and passion in them. Those eyes captivated her and she was glad she'd seen them since Narudo had deactivated a shaing when he looked at her. Apparently, it was rude to look someone from Kohaa in the eyes while your shaing was active. People would assume you were trying to cast a jing jutsu on them, which wouldn't surprise Narudo. But still, the paranoia about it was simply ridiculous. Well, Narudo, my name is Yoshino Nar, a jin from Kanahagakur. Yoshino took Naruto's hand and shook it. She was curious about Naruto's astonished expression and instantly became suspicious. Yoshino Nar, wait a second. I know that name. It's the name of Shikamaru<unk>s troublesome mother. Wow. I never would have imagined that lazy old man's mother could be so shameless. Naruto's thoughts would have continued, but his man in trouble with a woman since was on high alert. And as he looked down, he saw a terrifying look in Yoshino's eyes. "What was that look you were giving me?" Yoshino asked as she moved closer to Naruto's face. Narudo was sweating profusely because he knew that all the Nar were very intelligent and that this woman seemed to be reading him like a book. No wonder Shikamaru thought she was so troublesome. It was impossible for anything to escape his notice. Well, I was thinking that you, Nara, really live up to your title of the smartest in the village. I was a little surprised to meet you since I've never spoken to a Nara before, so this is all kind of new to me. Ha. Narudo was blatantly lying, but there was nothing he could do about it. He couldn't exactly say, "Yeah, well, actually, you're the mother of my lazy friend who hasn't been born yet from the future where I come from." She'd think he was crazy and report him to the authorities, though they wouldn't be able to do anything since he was technically an Aiha clan ninja and didn't answer to the Hokag, only to the clan head. Even so, the Hokag would have his eye, his magic ball, and his best ninja watching him around the clock. Something Narudo didn't need. Really? You've never spoken to a Naro? That's strange. Clans are always close, though. The Huga and Aiha seem to keep their distance. Well, everyone seems to. It's still odd, though. Didn't you go to the academy? Ah, so that was her game. Changing the subject so she could gather information. Narudo had to admit she was very clever. No, I didn't go to the academy. I'm a clan ninja, so I didn't go to the academy, and I don't report to the Hokag like other ninjas. Narudo could already see the wonder in his eyes. He must be very curious about the whole clan ninja thing because from the way Kagami had explained it, the elders and the Hokag weren't too happy about it and had tried to pressure the clans not to do it. Let's just say that didn't end very well for Kenoha. Really? What exactly do the clans ninjas do? Narudo shrugged and sat down on a log on the ground. He'd been using it as a chair all day and was grateful it was there. He gestured for Yoshino to do the same and she did. Well, we make sure the Hokag's ninja don't snoop where they shouldn't. You know, clan secrets have to be kept. Well, I guess also clan ninja have to keep the strongholds that the various clans maintain around the land of fire well protected and hidden. We also carry out private missions for our clan, kind of like a guild, but it costs more than what Kenoha ninja charge. We don't have the rank mentality that the Hokag imposes on everyone to maintain Kenoha's reputation. This is also one of the reasons why clan ninja are stronger than other ninja. We don't beat around the bush like the Hokag's ninja. Yoshino listened with wide eyes and Narudo realized she was absorbing this information like it was a lifeline. She seemed to be pondering something, but Narudo would probably never know what it was. Ah, so that's why I haven't seen you around. You don't leave your clan compound very often, do you? Narudo nodded. To a certain extent, that was true. For the first month he was in the village, he wasn't allowed to leave the clan compound. Even though the forest where he trained was owned by the Aiha clan and therefore considered part of their compound. No, not really. But I haven't been in this village for very long. Kenoha keeps an eye on me even though I'm a ninja from the Aiha clan. I wasn't born in Kenoha, you know. I arrived in the village a few months ago. So, everyone's keeping an eye on me to make sure I'm not a spy or anything like that. Yoshino nodded. He seemed to understand the need to ensure that enemy ninja didn't infiltrate his village, and perhaps he even agreed with the Hokag's ninja keeping an eye on him. Wait a second. Why would the Hokage's ninja be watching you? Didn't a Yamanaka check your memory when you arrived? She seemed confused, as if she couldn't imagine that someone could enter and join her village, especially during a war, without a Yamanaka checking their mind. No, I didn't want any Yamanaka members searching my memories. It would have been a huge invasion of my privacy, but I doubt the Hokag would have cared about something like that. The real reason I was allowed into Konoha was because I didn't join the Kohaa military, but rather the Achiha clan. While many Aiha are part of the Kenoha army, many are also part of the Aiha clan. Kagami sama told the Hokag that he wouldn't allow one of his own to be searched because it might reveal clan secrets and the Hokag had to comply even though he didn't really want to. Yoshino put her hand to her chin and began to think deeply. She probably didn't know it, but that look and that gesture made her very cute. I suppose I understand how that might work, but I know it must have caused quite a few problems. I think I heard some members of my clan talking about an unknown Aiha entering the village, but other than that, I had no idea what they were talking about since I believed all the Aiha were in Kohaa. However, I do have a question. What were you doing earlier? You look like a constipated duck that didn't know how to sit. Narudo started laughing, though it was kind of an insult directed at him. But luckily, that fury he'd known as a child wasn't in him. I was trying to train my sharing. I guess I was testing it out to see if I could train the eye. I thought I could see chakra through solid objects like the bakugan, but so far it's been a complete failure. Narudo mentally congratulated himself for having come up with such a good lie. At that moment, it seemed he really was an achie, even though it was sad to say so, even in his own head. Oh, I've never heard of anyone doing anything like that. Perhaps you should train some of the abilities your sharing already has and try to improve it. If you're unsuccessful, you can always go back and try to discover some unknown ability your eyes might have later." Naro nodded and smiled at her. "Thanks, by the way. What are you doing here?" Yoshino didn't seem surprised that Narudo asked her that. She must have expected him to say something like that. Well, this is the Nar clan's forest where we raise deer, you know. Besides that, I just wanted to get away from my clan compound. Everyone there is so lazy it drives me crazy. You'd think a war with three other nations would be enough to get them up and doing something productive. But aside from the demands, they're just as happy lounging around like idiots. By then, her hair was getting a little messy and a vein was throbbing on the side of her head. Narudo just sighed and felt sorry for Shikamaru, who had this woman as a mother when he obviously wasn't the hyperactive kid she seemed to want. Well, I guess we all have our quirks, but laziness almost seems genetic in the men of the Nar clan, which from what I've heard causes quite a bit of stress for the women since they're known for being a bit bossy. Narudo didn't want to die. Shikamaru had told him about his mother's wicked temper, but at the same time, he was confident and wouldn't back down from anything. He was the kind of guy who stood his ground no matter what or where he did it. Damn it. Madara's side of him was getting on his nerves. I'd like to see you try leading a clan where nobody wants to do anything but lays around all day and see if you don't become authoritarian or not. Narudo raised his hand in defeat. He could only imagine how annoying it would be, but he wouldn't say it out loud. How about we get something to eat? Yoshino raised an eyebrow, but Narudo just shook his head. It would allow us to sit somewhere more comfortable, and I didn't have lunch today, so I would really appreciate it. Yoshino nodded and began leading Narudo to a place to eat. She seemed used to taking the lead as she didn't even ask him where he wanted to eat. I know a good place to grab a bite. The Akimichi family owns several of the best restaurants in town. And since Nar, Yamanaka, and Akimichi are so close, they usually serve us first and offer us a better price. Narudo nodded and started leaping from tree to tree behind her. She seemed quite familiar with this exercise, as she didn't make any of the mistakes he'd made when he was still learning. On the other hand, she had enormous chakra reserves that satiated the flow and a terrible list of teachers. Triple X in the Kohaa Council Chamber. Triple XX. If I've told you once, I've told you a million times. I will not allow Narudo to be quarantined, nor will I allow anyone to examine his mind. You've been trying this little maneuver for months, and it still hasn't worked. So why do you keep bringing it up, Danzoan? Kagami was in yet another of the tedious council meetings that had been taking place since Narudo entered the village. The war was still raging, but it seemed the council had been more focused on one boy than anything else during the entire second Shinobi World War. They had already lost their second Hokag, Tobaramaju, though Kagami wasn't bothered by it. While no one said it outright, everyone had implied that Tobarama had only created the Aiha police force to keep tabs on them, and that infuriated him. Danzo didn't appear disturbed outwardly, but inwardly he was furious. He felt that Narudo was a spy from another village, something he absolutely would not allow. But he couldn't reach him since Narudo was under the jurisdiction of the Achiha clan, something over which Kohaa had no power. And with the support of the other clans, who saw it as a way for Kohaa to try to impose its will on them, the elders, the Hokag, and the civilian council were powerless against them. The boy is a threat, and it's highly likely he's revealing the secret enemies he's undoubtedly been searching for. This war may be nearing its end, but that doesn't mean it can't get much worse for us very soon. They should thoroughly examine the boy's memory with a Yamanaka to ensure he isn't a spy. Danzo was already furious, and his disheveled black hair swung with every movement of his head. It is illegal for a Yamanaka or anyone else to examine the memories of a clan member as it could reveal clan secrets. These secrets have protected us since our inception, and we will not surrender them simply because they crave more power. Naruto's mind will not be examined, and that is final. The room fell silent after that. Danzo and Kagami were openly displaying their murderous intent to each other, but the other clan heads remained unmoved and unquestioningly supported Kagami on this occasion. Very well, Kagami San Dan. That's enough for now. The matter of Narudo Aiha will be left for another time. Right now, we need to discuss the placement of the new Jennon on the team, said the third Hokag. Kagami and Danzo glared at each other with hatred, but their murderous intent vanished. I believe Shikaka Nara, Inoi Yamanaka, and Chos Akimichi should be on the same team. They grew up together, so their teamwork should be excellent. They have mastered their clan's techniques as well as other skills necessary to become outstanding ninjas. The current leader of the Akimichi clan spoke. He was just like the other members of his clan. He was burly and carried nearly 180 kg with a giant mace at his side. He had long brown hair and small cross-seed eyes. He wore a kind of ancient ninja armor with a spear-like weapon. I suppose you could say it had the Akimichi clan symbol on the front. Anyone against this decision? No one raised their hand, so the Hokag said, "Well, then it's official. Shikakara, Inochi, Yamanaka, and Choskimichi will be on the same team. Their Jon and Sensei will be determined later. Everyone nodded. They had read the files on those three boys and agreed that it would only be beneficial in the long run. I myself have been considering a specific combination. I believe Kusha Usuzamaki, Manado Namicase, and Hayashi Huga should form a team. Everyone was surprised that the Hokag had decided to put forward a candidate for a jin team. Kagami narrowed his eyes as he looked at the Hokag. He knew the Hokag was up to something. It seemed the man favored the blonde namic for some reason. Kagami wouldn't have really thought much of it before, but he'd met Kusha a couple of times and seen how happy she was with Narudo, and that got him thinking, why did the Hokag specifically want her on the same team as the boy he praised so highly? Kagami noticed the Hokag's voice was different when he mentioned Kusha and Manato's names, but it turned quick and dismissive when he named Hayashi as the future head of the illustrious Huga clan. The boy was considered a prodigy, but what caught Kagami's attention the most were his prodigious skills in fu and jutsu, the very skill the Usuzamaki clan was famous for. It all hit Kagami like a ton of bricks. The Hokag is after the Usuzamaki clan's few jutsu knowledge and Kagami instantly knew that he would have to keep those two away from each other as much as possible. Does anyone have any objection to this decision? The third Hokag didn't really think anyone cared or that anyone would vote against it, but to his surprise, Kagami raised his hand, causing a great murmur in the council. The Hokag annoyed nodded to Kagami. And these are the reasons I believe that given Kusha Usuzamaki's condition, she should be on a team where if she loses control of her burden, someone will help her regain it. I think they should put an Aiha on her team instead of that Name's boy. He demonstrates skill in Fu and Jutsu, but he's far from being able to suppress a Genturiki who has lost control if they decide to practice it. The council was silent for a second before the whispers returned with force, but this time they were much louder and spread further. The Hokag bit his inner lip in frustration. He hadn't expected anyone to point it out since no one seemed to be thinking about it. He really needed Manado and Kusha to become friends, and being on the same team was almost a sure thing. But now it seemed that dream would remain just that, a dream. He smiled smugly, knowing that perhaps he would find a solution. And who would you put on this team? Is there any Aihakush in his age capable of suppressing a Beiju on his own? Or is that just your imagination? The Hokag and Kagami stared at each other for a second, and a titanic battle raged with only their wills. But then Kagami smiled sarcastically, and the Hokag had a bad feeling. Indeed, yes. His name is Narudo Aiha and his charing gone is so powerful that it can suppress an outofcrol genturiki. Everyone gasped. The hokage's face contorted, showing either hatred or deep annoyance. Really? Well, I'm sorry to say, but since Narudo is a ninja from the Aiha clan and not Kinoa, I can't put him on the same team as her. The Hokag thought he had won, but to his dismay, the technicality didn't seem to matter to the council at that moment because the idea of a rogue Genturiki was not something they wanted to see. Is it really that bad, Herzen? If the boy can truly control the Genturiki, I see no reason why he can't accompany her on missions once he's free of his clan's responsibilities. Danzo wanted to bite his tongue, but he knew it would be foolish to deny the facts. He knew the girl was pure emotion and nothing else. So, it was highly likely that she would witness real death and destruction like on a battlefield and then lose control of her powers. He was prepared to grit his teeth and do whatever it took to keep Kenoa safe. All right, everyone's in favor of Narudo taking Manado Name's place, I say. Before anyone could say anything, Kagami cleared his throat to let everyone know he wasn't finished speaking. I believe that from the clan's perspective, the best course of action would be for my ninja to take on his own team of jinnon and train them as a group rather than removing Manado and replacing him with one of my ninja. Narudo Aiha has demonstrated skills equivalent to those of a Jonan. And I believe he is ready for his own team. I think Narudo should be the Jonan sensei for Kusha Usuzamaki, my daughter Makoto Aiha, and another student who would fit well on this team. Everyone was shocked, but the Hokag was seething with rage. Before he could say anything, the head of the Inuzuka clan intervened. I think my daughter would be ideal for this team. She's shown great skill in both tracking and hand-to-hand combat, something this team seems to specialize in. She's a bit impulsive and stubborn, but if your ninja is as strong as you say, it shouldn't be a problem. This will also benefit everyone since all the ninja Narudo will be training will be clan children. children who answer to their clan as much as the Hokag, so it shouldn't be an issue, right? The Hokag was furious. Not only was everyone agreeing to this madness, but it was also completely legal. The Hokag gritted his teeth and said, "Everyone in favor of this decision, I say, everyone said, I do." And then the damage was done. Very well. Narudo Aiha will be the Jonan sensei of team nine, consisting of Tsum Inuzuka, Mikoto Aiha, and Kusha Uzumaki. Kagami smiled knowing he had stopped something, but deep down he knew the Hokag was only just getting started. Back to work, said the Hokag as he resumed his calm demeanor. XX Karo, why Yoshino X? Yoshino and Narudo were sitting at a table in one of the Akimichi clans dining halls eating. Yoshino surprised him by ordering a large steak and a salad. She blushed when she saw him looking at her but ignored it because of her juicy steak. Narudo had ordered a hamburger and fries, plus a drink. The food was much better than he'd expected, but then again, they were the perfect clan if you were hungry. Well, Narudo, tell me about yourself," Yoshino said as she devoured her lunch. Seeing her reminded Narudo of a type of fish capable of tearing apart a corpse in an instant called a piranha. "There's not much to tell, really. I moved to the village recently and joined the Aiha clan right away. My hobbies are training and learning new things, as well as meeting new people. I have a vague goal, but I want to start a family someday. I don't like jerks or snobs, so half of my clan. You wouldn't believe me if I told you, but a good portion of the Aiha clan isn't so bad. What about you? Yoshino swallowed a bite of steak as if it were nothing and then smacked her mouth. Narudo liked that she wasn't trying to be reserved with him and that she was actually acting normally, even if her normality was a little strange, but he was fine with it. "Well, I like flowers and learning new things. I don't mind training, but I don't overdo it like some people." He glances at Naro, who looks away. He chuckles a little before continuing. My dream is to have a happy family full of people who don't sleep in the hallways and to become a great ninja someday. I really dislike lazy people and I don't like healthy food because it tastes so bland. I think that's about it. Narudo smiled and was about to continue, but a ninja jumped off the balcony and landed next to them. Narudo observed him for a moment and concluded that he was an Aiha ninja. His attire and facial features were those of the Achiha clan. And to top it off, his eyes had sharing gone. Can I help you? Naro was curious to know why an Aiha was coming to look for him right now. Kagami Samo wishes to speak with you. He says it's important and would like you to come as soon as possible. After that, the Aiha left without a trace. Well, I'm sorry to interrupt this great meal, but I have to go. Narudo paid for the meal and the tip and prepared to leave. Wait. Narudo looked back and saw Yoshino staring at him as if she were trying to find the right words to use. Yes. Yoshino smiled. Would you be willing to do this again? I had a great time and I'd hate for this to be the last time we talked. Narudo was surprised to say the least, but he wasn't about to say it out loud. The last thing he needed was for Nar to see his poker face. Yes, I had a great time. I'll stop by the Nar Clan compound sometime to pick you up. The way he said it made Yoshino blush a little. Or perhaps it was because he also winked at her flirtatiously. Wow. Was all Yoshino could think as she clutched her chest. Narudo sat in the meeting room with the Aiha clan head and the six elders. The elders were just that, devilishly old. Some had wrinkles covering their eyes. And just as Naro suspected, none of them lacked the charing gone, which was active in all of their eyes. They wore robes that looked like a cross between monks habits and the usual aiha clan attitire, and they were kneeling, though they had a pillow underneath them to protect their knees. Kagami seemed annoyed by their presence, which didn't surprise Narudo. During his time in the Aiha clan, Narudo had learned that there was a division between two factions. There was the faction that didn't want Kinoa at all and supported the elders who spoke of the Aiha clan's greatness and the more peaceful side that just wanted to live in peace and supported Kagami. Narudo had been accepted by Kagami and therefore by extension by his followers, but on the other hand, he wasn't generally well-liked by the elders and their followers. Narudo wondered if they would ever attempt a coup, but he knew they would if given the chance. Narudo had practically been whisked away from Yoshino Nar for quite some time due to an important meeting the clan elders and head had summoned him to, but as usual, he was forced to wait for them for half an hour. Narudo had been thinking of leaving and ignoring them, but just as he was about to go, they entered in single file. They remained silent, though Kagami wore a triumphant expression, and the old men, as always, seemed enthusiastic. They stood in silence for a few moments as a young woman entered and offered them tea. With the door open and the cool breeze blowing in, Narudo would have found it very pleasant that the old singers had stopped staring at him with those malevolent red eyes. Only Kagami had the decency not to activate her sharing gone while speaking to Narudo. Narudo, do you know why they called you? The question was a bit silly since they knew he didn't know and they knew what he was going to say. But the question was asked anyway. No, sir. They just told me it was important and that I should come immediately. Apparently, it wasn't as important as I thought since I've had to sit here waiting for them for 30 minutes. The old men looked like they'd been sucking on lemons and had unpleasant expressions. Kagami chuckled slightly at what he saw. It wasn't every day that the Achiha elders, so enthusiastic, displayed their emotions, much less to this degree. You will show respect to the son of your superiors, said one of the elders with a nasty look as his sharing spun violently in his eyes. It didn't help that Narudo covered his ear with his finger and pretended not to hear him. "When I meet with my superiors, I'll make sure to use that information," Narudo said. He enjoyed maintaining his angry expression while unnerving the Achiha elders. Their fury seemed like a joke to him since they possessed roughly the same physical strength as an elite Chunin. Their bodies were no longer up to the task of combat, so they talked incessantly, hiding behind their rank and clan. Enough, Narudo. All we apologize for being late, but we have good news for you. We just returned from a council meeting where we discussed team assignments and we decided that you will take the rank of Jonan within the Achiha clan and that you will also have your own Jin and team. Kagami looked proud while the elders looked terribly angry. They seemed to believe that Narudo was rising too quickly and that they wouldn't be able to control him if he didn't fear and respect them. With all due respect, I don't want to train a bunch of spoiled Aiha kids who think they're better than everyone else just because they're from the Aiha clan and who might one day awaken the limit of our clan's bloodline. The elders seem offended by Naruto's refusal, but Kagami smiled, knowing that Narudo would soon change his mind. Yes, I thought you'd say that, but it's been decided that with your keen eyesight, you'd be the best person for the job should your friend lose control of her load. That's why you were chosen to lead a team consisting of Kusha Usuzumaki, Sum Inazuka, and Mikoto Aiha. I don't think you'd mind training these three, would you? Narudo could only manage the infamous Aiha grin at what Kagami had done. He knew Naro would want to spend more time with his only true friend, and being his Jonan instructor would give him just that. I guess I can live with that, Narudo said as he began to get up to leave. Oh, and one more thing before you go. When an Aiha reaches the rank of Jonan, the colors of the Aiha clan symbol are reversed. You'll need to go see a tailor who will give you this so others know your status, Kagami said as he and the elders stood up to leave. So the top part will be white and the bottom part red. It's weird, but I guess it might work, Narudo thought as he left the Aiha clan chief's house and looked for a tailor who had permission to sew the Aiha clan symbol onto his clothes. Triple X. Kusha sat at home doing little more than thinking about Narudo and the short time they would be able to see each other once they were deployed to the war. Kusha knew the war wouldn't last forever and would probably end soon, but she feared Narudo would be hurt or even killed. She was also horrified by the thought of them gradually drifting apart until they barely spoke. She couldn't bear the thought of not having Narudo in her life after everything he had done for her. She heard a bell ring and knew what it was. Getting up, she went to the front door and opened it. There stood anu ninja who handed Kusha a scroll before disappearing. They're not very good conversationalists, are they? Kusha said as she unwrapped the scroll and began to read. Kusha Uzamaki, "You must report to training ground 9 where you will meet your Jonan sensei and team to train. It will start at 6:00 in the morning and end when your Jonan says so. Your teammates will be Tsum Inuzuka and Mikoto Aiha. Your Jonan sensei will be Naro Aiiah. Signed by the third Hokag. Kusha was stunned after reading the scroll. It was as if all her worries had vanished and all her hopes and dreams had come true. She had been worried about not seeing Narudo at all. But now she could see him every day. She did the only thing she could and let out a shout that told the world how happy she was. Triple X. Makoto was training outdoors as she had been since her humiliating defeat at Naruto's hands a week ago. She'd been working on her reaction time mostly. Realizing that Narudo had been right. Even though she could track high-speed movements with her eyes, it didn't matter if she couldn't react quickly enough. And that applied to attacking as well. While Makoto was training, her father Kagami came out with a smile. Makoto knew that face and since she hadn't done anything remarkable lately, she knew he wasn't happy with her. What could it be? Hello, Makoto Chan. How's your training going? Kagami watched as two shadow clones at a certain distance from Makoto. They threw shurikens and canai at her so that she could react better. Slow, but the results are there. Makoto said as she dispersed the shadow clanesso. I can take a break. That's good. You should never forget to work on the basics as they are often what will save your life on the battlefield. Thanks, Dad. But why are you out here? Kagami smiled knowing that Makoto had already figured it out. Well, I have valuable information about you and your team. Makoto was already paying close attention. Yes, and who are all the members of my team? Kagami smiled smugly. Her teammates will be her friend Kusha Usuzamaki and another clan Aerys named Sum Inazuka. She's a strong girl and a bit stubborn if you tell me that's true. But I'm sure the three of you can overcome these things. Makoto narrowed her eyes suspiciously since her father never said who the Jonan sensei would be. And who will be our teacher? Kagami's smile grew even wider after that. Of course, it'll be Narudo Aya. Kagami wasn't prepared for his daughter's tackle, which surprised him and knocked him to the ground. "How is this possible? Isn't he a clan ninja? How can a clan ninja lead a jin and team?" he kept asking over and over again. Kagami laughed uncontrollably at her daughter's reaction. She sat her down and began explaining that she believed Narudo had the makings of a Jonan and that others on the council agreed. They chose her for the squad because Kagami wanted Narudo to teach her what it meant to be a true Achiha, not the pathetic excuse the clan had become. Kusha's excuse was that she might lose control of the Ninetales and that Narudo would be needed to subdue her, but in reality, they chose her because they were very good friends. Sum was chosen for political reasons by the Inazuka clan, though Kagami assured Makoto that she would be a welcome addition to the team. Triple X Kusha arrived at the training camp at 6:00 on Friday morning as ordered, but she did so like a zombie because who the hell woke up at 6:00 in the morning. She saw that she wasn't the first to arrive, which didn't really surprise her knowing that Makoto liked to arrive at least 10 minutes early to everything. But the other girl, who was still pretty, albeit in a rather rude way, surprised Kusha by being there first. The girl had short shoulderlength brown hair that stood on end in all directions, which Kushina found odd on a girl, but it seemed right on her. Her eyes were hazel, but slit-like, which only added to their animalistic appeal. She had the customary red markings of the Inuzuka clan on each cheek, which was to be expected of a clan. After all, she wore tight shorts that appeared similar to those worn by the A&BU, except they only had four pockets, not counting the pouches hanging around her waist for ninja tools. She wore navy blue tollless ninja sandals, but oddly she had bandages wrapped around her feet and up to about halfway up her calves. She had a brown armband on her left wrist and bandages around her right hand, somewhat like Rockley. and she wore her Canoha forehead protector around her neck instead of around her forehead, which was the norm. Overall, her outfit was as elegant around her well-formed body as it was comfortable and battle ready. It seemed Makoto had also decided to change things up a bit. She now wore the equivalent of a female version of the Aiha clan's attire. Her outfit was quite similar to Naruto's, but the sleeves were slightly longer. Their purpose being to conceal the wearer's hands so they could hide weapons or discreetly use hand signals. The outfit was actually customized a little in that instead of the coat falling to her ankles, it was cut short, giving it a sort of skirt-like appearance. Around her waist, revealing her black A&B style pants with additional cargo pockets. Around her waist was a gray belt containing two ninja pouches for her ninja tools, as well as a concealed one she had been practicing with. Her ninja sandals were gray, similar to her coat. On the back of the coat was the Aiha clan symbol displayed for all to see, declaring that Makoto was proud of her heritage and her clan. Kusha smiled slightly at her friend. It seemed that everyone, well, she didn't know some well enough to know if she'd changed her clothes much, had decided that this was an opportunity to reinvent themselves and become even better. Kusha had changed, too. She now wore a red battle kimono with black tribal markings around the sleeves, the hem, and where the kimono folded over itself. The kimono ended a little short, but she wore battle shorts underneath, so she didn't have to worry about anyone seeing anything they shouldn't. She also wore long black leggings that reached midcfe, fitted so they would be close to her skin and wouldn't make any noise when she ran or moved in general. Her sandals were the same as her friends, except hers were a very dark maroon that made them look almost black. The sash around her stomach that held her kimono together was also the same color as her sandals, which suited her and didn't clash with what she was already wearing. She wore her clan symbol on her back proudly just like her friend and some. However, since her kimono was primarily red, she decided to make the swirl black. However, it gave off a sinister vibe, though he believed it was appropriate for those who would be going to war. He wore his forehead protector, as he should, but couldn't think of where to put it. Good morning, Kusha. How are you? Kusha looked at Mikoto and smiled at her. She was amazed that the girl could act normally. so early in the morning. "Okay, but I'm really tired," Cushina said in a somewhat childish way, telling Makoto that she was just joking and not being a bother, even though she was actually really tired. "I must admit, I'm a little tired, too. I wonder why our Joan and Sensei wanted us here so early in the morning when the afternoon would have been just as pleasant." Makoto and Kusha glanced at Sum, who had just finished speaking, and nodded. They had just realized that Sum wasn't alone. It seemed she had brought her ninja dog, Kungru, a small wolf pup that felt sweet and cuddly to the touch, but possessed the ferocity of any adult wolf with teeth as sharp as razors. It has black fur with a white underside. It also has two golden eyes that could frighten a ghost if it looked at them the wrong way. Perhaps Naroku is using this as training. You know, you have to be ready for battle whenever and wherever any kind of attack comes. Some nodded, thinking it was a good idea, but Kusha ignored it to point out something that had bothered her. "What's with this whole Naroku thing? Last time I checked, you and Naroku weren't in a relationship at all." Kusha said as she looked at her friend, who now had pink spots on her cheeks. "Well, it taught me that I have a long way to go before I can call myself a true shinobi. And who knows, maybe Narudo and I will have a relationship. I'll need a patriarch when I'm named matriarch of my clan. Mikoto said as she drew hearts in the dirt with her feet. Kusha was not happy at all at that moment. Narudokuin will never be the patriarch of the Aiha clan. He said my hair was the red thread of fate that led him to save me that night. And that connected us. Makoto was now the one with a sour look. She turned to Kusha to correct her. Off to one side, Sum and Kurumu watched with interest. They'd been told that their Jonan sensei was unique and that even if he didn't seem like much, they shouldn't underestimate him. She'd wondered what he was like and why he was unique. But her father hadn't said anything more about it, which had worried her a lot. She felt like her father didn't consider her worthy of a normal sensei and thought she needed extra help. Although the way they were acting, it seemed like they were in love with him or something. Did you hear that? Kusha asked, stopping her argument with Makoto and looking around. Sum and Makoto stared at her in surprise. What was it? Makoto asked as she looked at her friend who was quickly becoming a rival as well. I don't know. I felt like someone was watching us. And then I heard something, but I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Cusha said as she looked around the clearing and toward the line of trees. Maybe it was your imagination, Mikoto asked hopefully. while something in the pit of her stomach told her that something wasn't right. "No, I smell something in the wind. There's someone here," Sum said as she and her ninja dog began looking around, sniffing the air, trying to trace it back to its source. Before any of them could move, an adult ninja leaped from the treeine, wearing an aagure ambu mask. Kusha, Mikoto, and even some were startled, but quickly assumed defensive taijitsu stances. What is a ninja from IWA doing here in Kenoha? Makoto asked as she activated her sharing gun. Sum was already in her tajitsu stance, ready to use what her clan had taught her, while Kusha had drawn a canai and seemed more than ready to face the IWBU. All the girls appeared ready, but deep down they were worried. We<unk>ll have to wait until Naruto Kuan/Sensei arrives was the thought that went through their heads. The IWA YinBu didn't speak, but soon charged at them at full speed. Kusha was the first to attack, launching one of her golden chakra chains at the A and BU, which he skillfully dodged. She thought she could catch him by making him believe she had escaped and then redirecting the chain to stab him in the back. Unfortunately, this didn't work as the IWA ninja easily dodged the chain once again. This time, it was Tsum's turn to try and stop him. She and her ninja dog quickly took up position and leaped into the air. They began to spin, forming a gigantic drill-like attack that charged at the Iwa ninja. It took the IWA ninja a little longer to dodged Tsum and Kushin's combined attacks, but he managed it. To Tsums and everyone else's surprise, when Tsums attack struck the IWA ninja, instead of being sent flying, she grabbed her and dodged it with her bare hands. Her chest was shattered, but she managed to hold on and protect them from the attack. Upon seeing the impact area, they saw black skin, which quickly turned tan. Watch out, he's using some kind of earth-based defensive technique to harden his body. Makoto shouted as she began waving her hands in hopes of saving some before the ninja could harm her. Fire release. Phoenix sage fire technique. Makoto shouted as she unleashed 12 small fireballs which she directed at the Iwa ninja with great care since she did not want to accidentally hit Sum with her technique. The IWA ninja threw Sum and his ninja dog across the field causing them to crash heavily into a tree before he skillfully dodged the fire techniques aimed at him. Mikoto cursed as she watched her jutzu fail against the IWA ninja, but Kusha rushed to Tsum's side to make sure she was all right and apply first aid medical ninjutsu. Are you all right? Kusha asked as she administered first aid to Tsum and her ninja dog. Sum seemed a little shocked, but otherwise she was fine. Yeah, but damn, he's good. No matter what we do, he's always one step ahead of us. Sum said looking at the IWA ninja who was toying with Mikoto as if nothing was wrong. Yes, I know. We<unk>ll have to come up with a plan to defeat him, Kusha said. But when she turned to look at where Tsum had been, she discovered that Sum and his ninja dog had disappeared. What's wrong? Sum, where are you? Kuramaru, where are you, kid? Kusha was frightened. She didn't understand what had happened to S or why. Kusha, I need help. Makoto cried as the IWA ninja's foot made her slide across the ground. Kusha quickly got up and ran to her demon where she also began to administer first aid. Makoto was breathing with difficulty and had bruises all over her body from the force of the IWA ninja's punches and kicks. "Kusha is lost. There's no way we can defeat him. He's too powerful," Makoto said, panting. She was tired, battered, and her chakra was starting to run low. We cannot surrender. If we do, we will die, Cusha said. She quickly rose and blocked a spinning kick, but the force sent her tumbling across the field until she came to a sudden stop, struck by a tree. When she looked up, she could still see the IWA ninja standing there, but Makoto was nowhere to be seen. "Where is Makoto? Where is my friend?" Kusha asked as tears began to form and fall from her eyes. "They've already taken care of it. was all the agitated voice of the ninja from IWA said, but that was all there was to say about Kusha. Kusha's world crumbled. She understood what the ninja from IWA meant by that. He was telling her that her best friend and teammate was dead and that there was nothing she could do to stop it. The darkness within her stirred and she felt all her hatred and anger begin to surface. She knew what was happening, but in her rage, she didn't care. She wanted the ninja from IWA to suffer, to bleed, to suffer for what he had done to her friends. So she turned to the only power within her that she knew could help her. The IW, a ninja, watched, fascinated, as a malevolent chakra emanated from Kusha and swirled around her. The chakra was dense and malevolent. Yet, it strengthened her immensely. And for once, the IW ninja took an interest in the fight. The chakra continued to swirl around her, forming a cape with two fox-like ears and a long, thick tail. When Kusha opened her eyes, they were no longer her loving, fierce eyes, but blood red with a black slit. I will kill you, Kusha screamed as a dozen red chakra chains resembling the version two cape screamed from her body towards the IWA ninja at much greater speeds. The ninja from IW dodged left, right, up, and down. But even he showed signs of difficulty in avoiding so many high-speed chakra chains that seemed to have a mind of their own and attacked him from so many different angles. The ninja from IWA continued dodging the chakra chains and then leaped into the air where he began making hand signs. He had to dodge two more chakra chains in midair, which believe me was no easy feat. But when he finally landed, he pounded the ground with his hands and shouted, "Light lightning ball jutzu." Instantly, a ball of electricity formed in each of the IWA ninja's hands. He raised his right hand, pointed it at Kusha, and unleashed a powerful bolt of electricity. Kusha remained undeterred, and a chakra chain took the impact. The chakra chain sustained only minor damage. But because it had blocked the IWA ninja's view, it failed to see the second bolt of electricity heading toward it and was struck squarely in the side. The electricity was painful, but not overwhelming. It seemed its purpose was to course through her body and paralyze her muscles. Her body achd, and she had muscle cramps from the electricity, but she refused to give up and drew more chakra from the Q.B., gaining another tail. When she looked up, she was stunned. a bright red sharing gone. I stared at her, spinning frantically until everything went dark. When she awoke, her mind was in a place she knew well since her grandmother Mito had taught her how to access it before passing on her burden and then departing for the afterlife. Triple X. She stood up and turned around, but then jumped back when she saw a two-tailed fox standing in front of her. It seemed to be made of red bubbles, but its eyes were still red and looked just like the eyes of the real ninetailed fox. What's going on here? How did you break free from my chakra chains? Kusha asked as she stared at the oppressive chakra. You silly girl, you let me out. When you were angry, you drained my chakra for your own benefit. Even though you know that even then my will remains connected to it. You let me out to help you get revenge, didn't you? The Ninetailes apparition said, laughing at Kushina's stupidity. Kusha looked annoyed and was about to say something, but someone interrupted her. Both of you are wrong, but Kusha is much more than the Ninetales. When Kusha and the Ninetales looked, they saw Narudo standing there as if it were normal. Kusha was shocked for several reasons. First, she didn't understand how Narudo had entered her mind. Second, the relief she felt upon seeing him. And third, it hurt a little that Narudo was criticizing her. Of course, she had resorted to the fox's power, but it was a last resort for survival. The nine-tailed fox glared at Narudo with hatred and reluctantly curiosity. The fox hated those eyes more than anything in the world. Well, perhaps only surpassed by Mido Usuzamaki and Hasharamaju, but he still hated them. What he hated to admit was that like all foxes, he was curious by nature. And so he wondered why the aiha sided with him more than with the human girl. Look, Narudo, I'm sorry, but I needed the fox's power to defeat the IWA ninja. He killed Makoto and Sum. Kusha cried, trying to justify her actions without bursting into tears. What Narudo said next was not what she expected. Did you ask him? Kusha and Q. He looked at Narudo with surprise and confusion. What do you mean? Kusha asked, a stunned look on her face. I said, "Did you borrow his chakra or did you take it without asking?" Kusha looked surprised as if she couldn't believe that he was actually asking her that while the fox also looked confused, but hid it much better. "What are you talking about, Narcoin? Why would I ask him if he's a demon?" Kusha shouted as she stared at Naro, confused by what was going on. You know nothing about him and yet you judge him simply because he's different from you. You're ignorant of everything that's happened and yet you believe you have the right to judge him. I didn't think you were the type to take what belongs to others without asking. But I guess I was wrong. Look at this. Look at it. You have him chained to a floating moon and you pierce him with your chakra chains all day long simply because you believe he's evil and you haven't even tried to find out for yourself. You blindly followed the words of your predecessor like a sheep led by a shepherd and you don't even think to question them. I believed you were capable of love. I believed you could see the good in people. But now I see I was wrong. What you've done to him is wrong. By then Kusha was on her knees weeping, unable to comprehend what was happening. What she did understand was that Narudo was angry at the way she had treated the Ninetales and he was the only person left in the world now that Makoto and Mito were dead. She looked at the Ninetales and wished for the moon to descend and the chakra chains to recede. Though she created a wall of chakra chains to ensure the Ninetales couldn't attack them. "Now tell her you're sorry," Narudo said as he crossed his arms and looked at her with a stern expression. Kusha nodded and looked at the Ninetales before bowing her head and saying in a weak gentle voice, "I'm sorry for treating you so badly, Ninetailed San. I hope you can forgive me and maybe someday we can be friends." The ninetailed fox snorted at Kusha's last comment, but for some reason nodded at her apology. When no one was looking, Narudo moved toward the two-tailed fox demon's bubble formation and forced it back behind the chakra chain gate. Nine Tales. I know you hate humanity, especially my ancestor. He informed me a great deal about you and your past encounters, and I came to Kenoha specifically to see you and apologize for the harm my grandfather brought you," Narudo said, bowing his head. The ninetailed dragon narrowed its eyes at Narudo and headed towards the chakra chain gate, glaring at Narudo with hatred boiling inside. "Who was your mortal ancestor?" asked the ninetailed creature, already having an idea of what he was about to hear. Madara Aiha was all Naro said, and it was all the Ninetailes needed to hear before it started jumping and banging against the chakra chain gate, screaming and shrieking about this and that. But Narudo stayed quiet and listened because in reality, he wasn't actually Madara's grandson, but Madara in a younger body with a different soul. But that was too much to explain. So, he was going to have to settle for this. Kusha, you'll have to talk to the Ninetales more often and be much kinder to him. You may not like him now, but the Ninetales isn't the demon you thought he was. Humans made him what he is, not the other way around. If you're kind and understanding, you'll come to understand the pain the Ninetales feels, and perhaps one day you can heal him. I know it's hard to believe because I know how much you love Mido Usuzamaki, but she has hurt the Ninetales. And if you listen to him and keep an open mind, I promise you'll understand his point of view." Narudo said as he hugged Kusha. Kusha was so happy that Narudo had stopped ranting at her, as his words this time were much more reassuring than before, and she simply hugged him back with a smile. "Maybe one day I'll even tell you his real name," Narudo said, which surprised both Kusha and the Nine Tales. But before either of them could say anything, they disappeared from Kushina's mindscape and returned to the real world. When Kusha woke up, she saw Makoto, Sum, her ninja dog, and Narudo, who was holding her, standing around her, looking at her with worried expressions. Makoto, Sum, Kuramaru. Thank goodness you're all right. Kusha cried, hugging Mikoto tightly. What happened? How are you? What happened to the ninja from Iwa? Why don't you ask him yourself? He was just hugging you. Sum said, pointing at Narudo. It was you, Kushina shouted as she looked at Narudo, who offered her a kind smile. I needed to show you girls how weak you were and what kind of opponents you would be facing. Your companions also needed to know about the Ninetales so they could unite better. Kusha, I hope you don't forget what I told you and keep it in your heart. It truly deserves a chance, Narudo said as he hugged Kusha. Narudo had already introduced himself to Tsum and Makoto, which surprised Sum and caused her to lose so easily against someone her own age. When Kusha woke up, she began explaining what she was going to train them in and started their training. Triple X. In the distance in the council chamber, the heads of the Inuzuka and Achiha clans watched along with the Hokag, the elders, and some other key members of Kinoa as Narudo handled the situation. As you can see, there's no one better suited for the job of keeping them safe and training them than Narudo Aiha. Kagami said, his voice filled with joy. It's truly impressive. I never would have imagined that someone like you could master the sharing to that extent if I had seen it with my own eyes, said the head of the Inazuka clan. Yes, the boy seems to have control over the Genturiki. So, I must give him my approval as well, Danzo said with greedy and desireful eyes as he looked into Naruto's eyes. Okay, said the Hokag through gritted teeth. Narudo and his team were in a large room surrounded by several other teams, waiting for the Hokag to come and tell them whatever it was he was going to tell them. Although Narudo was sure it would have something to do with the war. Looking around, he noticed other teams of Jinnon waiting for the Hokag's orders. Although their sensei were older, they were all in the same situation. There were also several teams of Jonan and Chunin and even some special forces oru as they were commonly known. The girls seemed nervous since it was an ENBU ninja who had ordered them to meet there. Sum was petting her ninja dog, but Narudo realized she was only doing it to calm herself. and Makoto, though the most subtle of the three, kept tapping her foot and running her fingers through her hair impatiently every few seconds. The worst was Kusha, who kept stopping asking questions every few seconds. Narudo realized it was just because she was nervous and trying to distract herself from what might happen by asking questions, but it was still annoying. "What do you think is going to happen?" Narudo sensei Kusha asked, looking at him. He had made it very clear that she couldn't call him Naruto Quinn when they were supposed to be acting like professional shinobi. And although she didn't like it, she accepted it. I'm not sure even we Jonahan were informed, though it could be due to my clan ninja status. If I had to guess, I'd say this will end in an endless speech that will ultimately mean we'll be deployed, Narudo said as he made a specific finger gesture to focus Chakra and used his sensory abilities to search for the Hokag. Damn it, he's still not here. What a lack of consideration. Narudo thought. Do you really think they're going to deploy us? I mean, we're Jinnon, and the most they do with us is use us to secure small villages deep in the land of fire, right? Kusha looked scared, as did the other two, but they hid it well. Narudo just sighed and ran his fingers through his black hair, thinking about what to say. This isn't a normal war where we're fighting some spoiled warlord who got too big and decided a portion of the land of fire belonged to him. It's a two-front war against two of the other great elemental nations. It's difficult and our resources are already stretched to the limit, so we'll have to make do with what we have, including the Shinobi. The jinnon will be on the battlefield as will any Jonan or A&BU. So that's something we'll have to deal with, Narudo said as he pulled out a scroll he'd been wanting to read there recently. So you think they'll deploy us, right, Sensei? Some asked, looking up at Narudo from the ground. Her eyes were a beautiful honey color, but they were tinged with fear. Something Narudo hated to see in his friend's eyes. Yes, but I doubt they'll send us to the Earth or waterfronts. I know we're mainly fighting Earth, but Lightning and Water have reasons to attack. And if they wanted to, they could easily join forces. And if they did, I doubt we could escape. Though luckily, that's not the case. I bet they'll send us to a border nation between Kohaa and another world power, Narudo said as he handed Kusha a scroll to keep her occupied. It was about sensory abilities, something he discovered he naturally mastered despite his enormous chakra reserves. It reminded Narudo of the girl who followed Sasuke around. Karen, he guessed her name was. "Which one do you think they'll send us to?" Makoto asked, envious that Narudo was trying to help Kusha get stronger, but ignoring her. Seeing that look, Narudo pulled out another scroll detailing a unique firebased jutzu that he thought Makoto could use. Well, I doubt they'll send us to any nation near the land of Earth. So, that leaves lightning or water. Water always self-destructs, though. So, they'll undoubtedly attempt some kind of attack, but no one knows for sure on what scale. Kumo isn't doing anything, but that could be because they're waiting for everyone to tire before attacking. Suna is on our side for now, but like everything in the ninja world, it's not final, Narudo said as he continued reading. So, it's possible they'll send us to the borders of any of the three great nations besides IWA to make sure we're not attacked when our backs are to IWA, Sum said with an expectant look that made Naro smile. He reached into his shirt and pulled out another scroll. This one for Tsum, detailing how to use the silent killing technique and how to sharpen one's hearing, which combined with Tsum's sense of smell would be lethal in combat. Yes, it's possible we could be sent to one of the borders and act as security guards, but we must remember that IWA has allies in smaller nations, and we could also be sent to the front lines of those nations. The ninjas won't be as skilled as those from a large village, but it's real combat with many casualties, and the dangers will still be present. In the worst case scenario, we're sent to a border nation as security guards, and the nation we're guarding launches a full-scale attack, leaving us without reinforcements," Narudo said, rubbing his head. He didn't know where they would send him, and therefore wasn't sure how things would play out. Madara's memories only extended back to the Third Shinobi World War before his death. And much of that time was spent planning and creating his Zetsu army, activating the Renegan, and learning how to use it, as well as summoning the demonic statue of the outer path. If we were sent to another nation to play as security guards, as you say, which nation do you think they would send us to? Narudo sensei? Makoto asked as she looked at Narudo and deactivated her sharing gun. She used it to memorize the scroll so she wouldn't have to worry about referring to it later during training. I'd say the land of hot water or even closer to the land of lightning in the land of frost though I don't really like the cold and I do like hot water so I hope they sent us to the land of hot water. Narudo said rubbing his chin wisely while the girls looked at him with beads of sweat on their faces. Before they could say anything, Kusha spoke first. The Hokag is here. Cusha said, looking up at the large balcony above the room. The doors on the right opened and the Hokag entered accompanied by two other ninjas. "Your sensory abilities are improving," Narudo said, giving Cusha a small smile, which she returned, though her cheeks were slightly flushed. Makoto snorted a little, and some also wore an annoyed expression. Triple XX, previously Triple X, the Hokag and the council were in the war room planning where and when to send troops and supplies. The Hokage declared that he wanted to escalate the fighting in IWA and try to force them back into their own territory, causing them not only war, but also the effects of war in their own backyard. The council disagreed. They didn't want to commit so many forces to IWA or its surrounding areas as that would leave them vulnerable to attacks from fresher, more warready nations like Kumo or Kiri. They had been discussing this for some time and it seemed most of their issues had been resolved except for where to send a specific team. They were debating whether or not to send Kusha Usuzamaki and by extension her team to the front lines of IWA. As expected, the council was deeply divided on this matter. On one side, many wanted to send Kusha there because they believed she had great control over her demon and could be a great asset to their forces. The other half feared she might lose control of her demon and become unstable, causing massive destruction that would only harm their side, which could on its own lead to their defeat. For the eenth time, even if she lost control of the nine tales, the Aiha could contain it and by extension her. Wasn't that why they put her on that team? The Hokag asked, observing the council. He had one of the elders and most of the minor clans on his side. The major clans and two elders were against him, though they effectively balanced their power between the two factions. Even if Narudo is able to contain the Ninetales in a controlled environment, that doesn't mean he can control it on a battlefield where people are dying left and right. There's also the factor of how much control the Ninetailes would have over her by the time Narudo could reach her, if that were even possible. The odds of it causing massive destruction and damage to our forces are far too high for me to agree with this course of action. Hokag sama Kagami said as he stood and surveyed the council chamber. He had gained much more respect and followers after Naruto's brief demonstration of controlling the Ninetailes. It seemed some had believed Madara Aiha controlling the Ninetales with his gaze was just wishful thinking. Though now they believed it completely. The problem was even with the Ninetales, Madara lost to Hashiama. But that's beside the point. What are you saying Aiadano? What do we do with Kushina and her team? Should we leave them here in the village where if we're attacked and what you say is true that I could lose control of the Ninetales, we'd have to deal not only with the invading ninjas, but also with an enraged Q.B. or are you saying we should hide her in some country that isn't affected by the war? The Hokag demanded as he looked at the head of the Aiha clan. I think we should send her to the land of frost. It's secluded and it would give her a chance to control the Ninetales. If Kimo attacks us, Narudo and his team will be the first to face them. I think they could at least hold them off for a while with the forces already stationed there and send us a message so we can prepare for the inevitable, said the Inazuka clan leader as he looked at Kagami and nodded. Kagami also nodded and looked at the Hokag. It's a clever plan. We'll have a small but strong team of ninjas ready to defend against Kumo's surprise attacks and a large force fighting on the front lines led by powerful ninjas in IWA. I think it's a good plan, said one of the old women, squinting at the Hokag. Yes, but what about the Genturiki that IWA possesses? Surely you don't think it's a bit impossible for our armies to fight against the armies of IWA and the four and five tales, do you? Of course, we have strong ninjas, but you mean leaving them practically defenseless against the Genturiki of IWA? The Hokag demanded, looking at the main clan heads, as if they were crazy. We haveade, Jeriah, and Orochimaru, all skilled users of Fu and Jutsu and with great summoning power. I'm not claiming that the summons can match the power of the Beiju, but together they are strong enough to face one of them and contain it with few and jutsu before returning to fight the Iwa ninja army, said the head of the Nar clan while looking at the Hokag with a bored expression. But while they're trying to defeat the Beiju, the chain of command will be compromised. And besides, IWA won't stand idly by and let the Sanin do whatever they want. The Sanin have also proven themselves incapable of defeating Hanzo the salamander who is just one man and his giant salamander summons. "If they can't defeat him, what makes you think they can defeat a fully trained Genturiki?" the Hokag demanded, slamming his hand on the table, his eyes now hairy. "Hanzo the salamander is an extremely powerful shinobi, comparable even to you, Lord Hokag, and some consider him even stronger. Comparing him to a Genturiki would be unfair since despite their power. Even Genturiki who control their Beiju usually only reach at best Srank due to the way they are treated they are kept in check so that their power doesn't exceed the vill's limits said the Nar clan head looking at the Hokag with irritation. It wasn't often that a Nar's logic was questioned especially so publicly. He's a powerful ninja and that's why we need even more powerful ninjas to combat such a threat. We're losing Shinobi every day. Why can't you see that Kusha and her team are needed on the battlefield? The Hokag demanded, his voice filled with annoyance and anger. I could understand your position if Kusha and the rest of her team were at least 16 years old, but you're talking about kids fresh out of the academy as if they were S-rank ninjas whom we decided to bench because we felt their abilities wouldn't reflect well on Kenoha. They don't have the mental fortitude or experience to handle a highstakes situation like war so soon. If we sent them onto the battlefield, we'd scar them for life, leaving them with a mental burden that could destroy them in the future, or with four dead Shinobi, who would have been a great asset to Kenoha," Kagami said, staring at the Hokag with impassive eyes. "Countless children were sent to the battlefield during the Clan Wars, and even during the first Shinobi World War, and with great success. They bolster our forces and make the enemy hesitate." the Hokag shouted as he stared intently at Kagami. This is not the era of clan wars. We've already passed that. Besides, I distinctly remember how many ninjas deserted during the first Shinobi World War and for much of the time afterward because they couldn't handle the stress of what they were forced to do. Kagami shouted as he stared intently at the Hokag and did not back down. Then what's the point of Naro teaching them? He's had them for 6 months, and you're saying they're still not strong enough to enter the battlefield? The Hokag demanded, looking around at everyone, hoping to gain support. I never said they weren't physically strong enough to enter the battlefield. I said they weren't mentally prepared. They've never seen anyone die, never heard the blood curdling screams of someone being burned alive, nor seen blood rain from the sky as a seal trap exploded, killing countless people in its wake. Kagami shouted, glaring at the Hokag with rage in his eyes. He had fought in the war and certainly didn't want his daughter to experience that. But they were a ninja clan, so it was unavoidable. Sending her into the thick of the fighting would destroy her. Narudo wasn't about to let that happen. I say, let's put it to a vote. Everyone who agrees with the hokag raises their right hand and everyone who agrees with Kagami Aiha raises their left hand, said another of the elders as he raised his left hand. After counting the left and right hands, it was determined that Kagami received the majority of the votes, meaning that Narudo and his team were not going to be sent into the thick of things, but they weren't going to be safe either. XX ax. When the Hokag entered, he surveyed all the warready faces and smiled slightly, except when he made brief eye contact with Narudo. His frown lasted only a second. But Narudo saw it anyway. As many of you know, you will soon be leaving for the war. Some of you will be grouped into special teams to carry out special operations, while others will be tasked with protecting supply lines, and the rest will be sent into the thick of the fighting to support others in the war. We don't have much time, so when your squad leader is called, step forward and receive your instructions from the man before you. The Hokag shouted, gesturing to a burly man with numerous scars standing beneath the balcony with a small table in front of him covered in scrolls bearing the names of various people. Lee shouted the hokag causing a small bald man to step forward. Akio shouted the Hokag and a tall man who appeared to have no muscles stepped forward. Todoroki called to the Hokag as a normall-looking guy stepped forward. Shashima shouted the Hokag as another normallooking boy stepped forward. Hokushin said the Hokag as an ugly woman with facial hair stepped forward. Comei said the Hokag as an average-looking woman with two pigtails stepped forward. Nagar mentioned the hokag before a man with long feminine hair stepped forward. Washi the hokag said before a man with purple hair stepped forward. Sigi said the hokag as he watched a man walk towards the man with the scrolls. Toki said the hokag as he watched a woman walk towards the man with the scrolls. Narudoiha. the Hokag said as he looked at Narudo and watched him take a step forward to take the scroll from the frightened man. Triple X. When Narudo heard his name called, he walked over to the giant man, took the scroll from him, and returned to his team standing beside them while he waited to be seen off. As they left the room, Kusha began to pull on Naruto's arm. Narudo stopped, looked at her, and saw the anticipation, the tension, and a slight fear on his face and the other girls. "What does Naruan say?" Kusha asked, looking at the scroll Narudo was holding. She was nervous to say the least. The scrolls contents would determine whether they all lived or died. "You know, I haven't read it yet, right?" Naro asked, looking at them with a small smile that made them all sweat. I think I was asking you to read it to us. Some said though the smile on her face said she wasn't really upset or scared anymore. Haha. Well, maybe I missed it. Narudo said as he pulled out the scroll and began reading it aloud. Aihanarudo and his team will join Alpha Group on Monday at 8:00 to be part of the unit heading to the land of frost where they will observe the land of lightning for any threat of war. Narudo said as he finished reading the scroll. When he rolled it up and put it in his shirt pocket, he saw the looks of relief on his team's faces. Don't get too comfortable. Even if Kumo doesn't join this war, they'll undoubtedly send ninjas to the land of frost to try to find weaknesses or attempt to assassinate the leaf ninjas. So, we have to stay on our guard, Narudo said as he and his team walked into a dango bar and ordered food. Narudo, what do you think we'll do while we're in the land of frost? Sam asked, looking at Narudo with curiosity in her eyes. We<unk>ll probably patrol the border to make sure Kumo ninja don't sneak in and try to sabotage the war, Narudo said, taking a bite of his dango. Besides that, we'll train to improve our skills in case we get involved in a more active role in this war, Naro said, finishing his dango. What will you train us in? Makoto asked as she bid into her dango. Well, you seem to have a great command of fire release, so I suppose I could teach you how to harness your secondary affinity. I believe Kusha has already mastered wind release and kjutsu, so we can begin combining both abilities. Sum has her clan's techniques, but I think teaching her the silent assassination technique could be very useful. So, we'll focus on that. I'll also help Kusha learn how to use the ninetailes chakra, Makoto Sharinggon, and perhaps more advanced forms if the opportunity arises. and I'll helped some invent new techniques for her clan," Narudo said as he listed what he planned to teach them. "He already had some good ideas about how to do it, so it shouldn't be too difficult. There would be some complications, of course, such as the Ninetales cooperation, whether Makoto would develop the Maniku Sharing, and learning more about the Inuzuka clan to find out if his idea of developing his own technique would work. He hoped the Inazuka clan wouldn't mind him meddling with their techniques since he was only trying to help them, though some might take offense. "Sounds good. I'll go talk to my dad and get more information about our clan's techniques so I can learn them while I'm away from him," Sum said as she stood up and walked away, waving goodbye. Then she and her dog left. "I need to talk to my dad about something he said that isn't public knowledge in our clan. He said it was some kind of dark secret of the Aiha clan or something like that. Do you know what he's talking about? Makoto asked, looking at Naro suspiciously. If that's what I think, then yes. But I believe it would be better if your father told you. If he told you, it might make you see your clan in a way you wouldn't like. I don't think your father would like it if he told you either, Naro said, looking at her with sad eyes. If you know what it is, would you tell me if you've ever been involved in it? Makoto asked as she gazed deeply into Naruto's jet black eyes, seeing the sadness deep within them. "If your father tells you what I think he'll tell you, and you still want to know, then yes, I'll show you," Narudo said as he hugged Makoto. Makoto didn't understand what was happening, but she was happy that Narudo was hugging her and returned the hug with a satisfied smile. "Okay, see you later," Mikoto said before leaving. Narud Kuan, what's wrong with the Aiha clan? Kusha asked while looking at Narudo curiously. Although she felt bad about it since she didn't want to interfere. There's nothing wrong with the Aiha clan. It's just that like some bloodlines, it has aspects that aren't as idealized as others. While everyone knows the shainggon can copy techniques and allows the user to see chakra, most forget that it requires immense mental stress, usually resulting from a near-death experience to activate it. That mental stress, combined with the demands of being a shinobi, can sometimes be overwhelming, and sometimes people take things too far and want even more. Let me tell you something. If you befriend the Ninetales and ask him, I'm sure he'll gladly tell you about the true darkness of the Aiha clan and why we don't tell anyone," Narudo said, patting Kusha on the head, which made her look at him fondly. "But the Ninetailes is such an idiot. He usually doesn't even talk to me, and when he does, it's usually something sarcastic, almost always related to my hair. You know how much I hate it when people talk about my hair? Cushionis said, blushing as she thought too much about how people felt about her hair. Well, I think your hair is beautiful, but don't forget that you had it chained to a floating moon for possibly years. Don't you think you'd be a little annoyed for a while after that if it happened to you? Narudo asked while looking at Kusha. Kusha blushed, but then sighed. Yes, but it's so difficult. Every night I try to talk to him and he just ignores me. It's so hard to deal with his gloomy attitude and the way he ignores me when I know he can hear me. Kushina exclaimed as she began to wave her arms in a comical and playful manner. Look, Kushamito was really mean to the Ninetails, and she must see that in you. You should start by talking about her, and I'm sure the Q.B. will start talking, though whatever she says won't be pleasant. But remember not to be scared when it happens. Narudo said as he led Kusha to the Sinja compound. Okay, but let it be known that it's really annoying. Kusha pouted as she entered the Sinju compound. Your statement is taken into account. Narudo said while laughing at Kusha's cute pouty face. Upon entering the Sinju compound, Narudo had the strange feeling that he shouldn't be there. He thought it was the Madara within him for his hatred for this clan was palpable. However, Narudo knew who he was. And although he had changed somewhat, that didn't mean he had ceased to be who he was at heart. "Hey, Narudok Cohen, look at this." Kusha said as she returned to one of the rooms where Narudo was holding a katana. Narudo recognized it because it was normalsized with a gold guard, a red center, and a white wrap around it. That's one of the katanas the kumo ninja I killed when we first met carried, Narudo said, taking the katana and brandishing it several times. He pierced it with his chakra, then with wind chakra, then with fire chakra, and finally with light chakra. Yes, this is a great sword, Narudo said as he returned it to the dreamy Kusha. Wow, that was amazing. Can you teach me how to do it? Kusha asked as she took the sword from Narudo and wielded it a few times. She felt a little inadequate using it compared to Narudo since his strikes were much more precise and he could channel his chakra through the blade. Yes, you've already mastered wind release. I just need to teach you how to channel it through a medium like a canai or a sword. It will be more difficult for you to channel wind chakra through this sword since it was made for a light user and wind is light's weakness and naturally conflicts with it. But I'm sure that if you can channel wine chakra through it with ease, you'll completely master wind release, Narudo said, smiling at Kusha. Thank you, Narudo Cohen, Kusha said as she kissed Narudo on the cheek and then ran off. You're welcome, said Narudo as he left with a smile on his face. Narudo and his team had spent quite some time traversing hostile lands to finally reach the land of frost. It wasn't as bad as Narudo had anticipated. The ground was a bit hard from the perafrost and the air was cold. But it wasn't as bad as in the land of winter before it became the land of spring. The country possessed great natural beauty from gigantic mountains with white peaks and fluffy clouds to vast forests that stretched as far as the eye could see. There was also abundant wildlife in those forests. Large plump deer leaped about alongside squirrels and their offspring. They seemed to enjoy the nuts and berries that grew in the pine groves, but Narudo knew that most of those things were poisonous to humans. Narudo was impressed by the place where they would be staying during their time in the land of ice. It was a large castle destroyed in the last great war and abandoned ever since. The hidden leaf village had modified the structure, installed barriers, and adapted the living quarters for Shinobi. They were informed quickly and assigned rooms close to each other. Kusha, Mikoto, and Sum had to share a room as they didn't have much space and needed to be close to their sensei if they were attacked. So, it didn't take them long to organize themselves. Narudo wasn't surprised when they were assigned heavy labor. But with the right persuasion, he managed to get his team allowed to take on more ninja tasks. They were to protect the border between the land of frost and the land of light, though they weren't too happy about the cold. To the left within Kumogicure lived a special Jonan known to all along with his new brother. They kept a close watch on their biological and adoptive fathers. The world was in a dire situation with the new Shinobi world were raging and Kimogakure for some reason had chosen to remain neutral. This led many of the hidden villages to distrust them believing it to be a trap. Kimogakure had been happy to stay out of the war as they would have benefited more from it. After Kinoa, IWA, Suna and all the other villages had worn themselves down and weakened their forces. The world's leaders would have chosen Kumogicure for their missions, making Kumo even stronger and keeping the other villages weak. But now things have changed. Seated behind his desk was the third Rich, a monstrous man whose strength was known throughout the elemental nations, making Kimogakure far more feared and respected among the other hidden villages. His invention of the lightning style lightning armor jutzu. This had established him as the strongest Kagumo had ever had, something he was very proud of. The third rakage was a tall man with dark skin and a muscular, well-defined physique. He had abundant white hair that fell to his back accompanied by a long beard. His eyes were unusual green irises, dark scara, and no pupils. His face featured prominent cheekbones and tear troughs, as well as a prominent crease on his forehead with a mole above his right eyebrow. His upper lip was also darker than his lower lip. His canines were slightly elongated. He had the kanji 4 lightning tattooed on his right shoulder. The third rakage also had a lightning-shaped scar running down the right side of his chest. His typical attire consisted of Kumigakur's distinctive single strap bulletproof vest worn without any other garment underneath, a black forehead protector worn like a bandana, and a thick rope tied around his waist. He also wore dark blue sweatpants. It was also shown that at some point in the past, he wore bandages on his forearms. What did you want to talk to me about that was so important you pulled me away from my weight training? A asked looking at his father with a bored expression. He didn't want his village to get involved in the war, but a little behind the scenes fighting never hurt anyone. Dad, you know what's great? Learning to control the power of the eight tales. Now I own this hour, be said as he continued his ridiculous rap, which only annoyed the people around him. This became clear when a punched his brother through the door behind them. The idiot can't keep his stupid raps to himself, I said, feeling better knowing his brother would be quiet for at least a few minutes, after which he would bother him again some more. "Hey, bro, that was low," be said as his head spun from the attack on his adoptive older brother and teammate skull. "Idiot," was all a managed to say before he was hit with an atomic elbow to the back of the head, blasting through the wall and landing right next to his brother. Now they really had that. I've just been knocked out of my breath. Look on their faces. You're the idiot. A how much do you think that gate cost this village? And worse, how much paperwork do you think I'll have to fill out because of your stupidity? yelled the third rakage as he looked across the room at his stupid son who was just beginning to recover from the powerful elbow he received to the back of the head. "Looks like I've still got him," the third rakage thought, smiling to himself. He'd worried that all this rakage nonsense was weakening his fighting abilities. But even with his son's lightning fast reflexes, he couldn't even dodge his attack, which gave him a huge boost of confidence. Damn, that old man hits like an avalanche. I still don't understand how he's so strong, even without the lightning armor technique. A thought as he rubbed the back of his neck where a bump was already forming. He wanted to yell at his father for beating him up, but he knew that if he angered him, it would only cost him early retirement as a ninja. So, he decided to bite his tongue. "I'm trapped in a world of monsters, just a shrimp. I'd better get strong soon or I'll never lose my virginity," he thought as the stars in his vision began to clear. The eight-tailed cat was laughing at him in the back of his mind, but he simply ignored it and continued trying to clear his head. I stood up again, displaying his impressive physique. He is a tall, dark-skinned, and muscular man with blonde hair combed back. Although he had no facial hair, that didn't mean he wasn't thinking about growing it. His face is very distinguished with high cheekbones, deep lines under his eyes, and a prominent crease across his forehead. He has pointed canines, and his upper lip is darker than his lower lip. Features he inherited from his father. He has black fuma shuriken tattoos on both shoulders. He wears gold bracelets on each wrist with protrusions that flare out when he attacks. He also wears a gold belt with a boar's face engraved in the center. The combination of these elements gives him the appearance of a professional wrestler and boxer. He was wearing a purple turtleneck suit with frayed sleeves and matching pants along with a white bulletproof vest and shinuards. Damn it, Dad. You almost cracked my skull in too, I yelled as he flexed his muscles, showing off the impressive physique he had built over the years through extreme training. Shut up, you idiot wannabe fighter. I have a mission for you and be, so shut up and listen carefully," he yelled with furry eyes as he flexed his muscles, causing his clothes to tear to shreds, making his children extremely jealous. "Wow, how does he do it? He's so powerful thought be his eyes shining with admiration for his adoptive father. He wanted to be strong and recognized like his father. So he idolized himself just like him and his brother to a lesser extent. Damn it. I train every day and I still can't do it. He's definitely cheating. That dirty old man, a thought as his inferiority to his father's abilities began to show. It was no secret that A was jealous of not having been born with his father's extreme stamina, nor his natural strength and speed. But he had tried hard to overcome the difference. Yet, he still knew his father was considerably stronger than him. These little punks think they have what it takes to keep up with me. Huh? Well, I'll show them I still do. These muscles are the best in the elemental nations. And even though I don't have the ninjutsu skills of the hokag, the jing jutsu skills of the mizukage, the keki totalis of the suchikage, or the keki jenkia of the kazakag, I'm still the strongest and most powerful kaga in the elemental nations, he thought as he flexed his chakra, causing the sides of his desk to begin splintering even without him touching it. What's the mission? A asked, trying to change the subject. He usually liked these kinds of things, but his father had obviously beaten him to it, so he couldn't do or say much about it. Kohaa has sent a small squad of ninja to protect the land of frost in case we decide to invade any of the other nations while they're so embroiled in this war. I want you and be to go there and see what those thieves have, and if they're nothing more than weaklings, eliminate them. I have no patience for Kohaa getting so close to our lands, he said in a serious tone. He had never liked Kenoha, considering it too shady for his taste. He knew the Hokag was powerful, perhaps as strong as him or even stronger. But that didn't mean he was afraid of him. Quite the opposite, he wanted to fight the Hokag just to see who was stronger. But he doubted he would ever get that chance. "My we'll take down any leaf ninja stupid enough to approach the land of lightning like the bugs they are," he said, flexing his muscles, excited at the prospect of a good fight. He loved using his father's jutzu and was making a name for himself. So, this was perfect. Besides, you can't become rakage without a reputation. It just didn't work that way. "Yes, I can already control two tales of the old eight tales power. So, this will be a piece of cake," he said as he returned to his brother and father. He had finally managed to see beyond the stars and get down to what he had to do. I don't want you wasting all your chakra showing off. And I also don't want everyone in every nation to know exactly who the eight tales genturiki is. So if it's not necessary, don't use its power, he said, knowing how much the boy enjoyed the power boost he received from the eight tales. He liked that the boy had a natural talent for using the eight tales power, but he didn't want him to rely solely on him. Ah, dad, that's so monotonous. Why can't 8 and I go ride or die on their asses and turn at the color of the blades of grass be wrapped? But he could feel the urge to knock him out coming from his brother. But the man was holding back in the presence of his father so as not to break through a wall too. Just do as you're told. B and you A will be in charge of this little mission as well. I want both of you ready to leave the village in 4 hours. So get to it. he shouted and Soon be was running out the door, determined not to get into trouble with his father, but he stayed behind to ask his father what was really going on. "What's this mission really about? I know you don't care about some wimps camping in the Iceland, and I don't like going on missions blind. So, tell me something," they said, knowing his father had withheld information, so his blabbermouth brother wouldn't go around telling anyone who would listen. Honestly, if that kid could fit it into one of his shitty raps, he'd tell you pretty much anything you wanted to know. He looked at his son and sighed. As foolish as he might seem, he was actually quite astute. We've recently received reports of a gigantic flying fortress emerging from the ocean. It doesn't matter if it's from the western sea, and if so, probably from the land of winter, or from the east, and if so, from one of the many islands. What does matter are the rumors that they've allied with a Wagakure and are planning to attack an alley in the land of fire. Since we're not allied with the land of fire, I don't think we're in danger. But that doesn't mean this group is only after one target. So, if you see this new threat, I'll need a ninja fast enough to get me this information so I can prepare the village if necessary. He said, knowing his son was very strong and astute, albeit stubborn. He would undoubtedly one day take the title of rakage. Not that he was complaining and lead his village. He would have to teach a how to react to situations like this. So this is really the best form of practice. So this potential threat to our village thinks it's okay to just march through our lands and get away with it. I'll show these idiots who the real hairy ones of Kimogakure are. A shouted as sparks flew from his body, creating a lightning armor that enveloped him. But it all stopped when he used his fist to silence his son and slammed him against a wall. Idiot. I just said I need a strong fast ninja to brief me as soon as possible. That means if you see whoever this new threat is, find out everything you can about them and get back to Kumo so we can plan a counterattack as quickly as possible, he said, wishing his son had a little more brains than Braun. He knew his son was strong. He just needed him to be a little smarter and wiser. All right. All right, I won't attack whoever or whatever this new threat is. But I'll give those wannabe koha ninja a good beating," he said as he stood up, rubbing his chin to ease the throbbing pain in his jaw. Actually, that was how he and his family communicated since they were all so strong and resilient that it wasn't that big of a deal. But his father did possess monstrous strength. So, he had a certain advantage. Well, now I know that my idiot son won't get angry at whoever. We know almost nothing about the possibility of dragging ourselves into this pointless war that ruins countless lives here in Kumo just because he's stupid, leaving me unable to sleep peacefully at night," he said with an annoyed look as he glared at his son. "So strong yet so stupid," he thought, shaking his head as he looked down at his desk and closed his eyes. "Okay, I understand. Don't do anything that could drag us into war, they said as he ran out of his father's office. He knew he could only fight and destroy the ninjas in the land of frost because Kenoha couldn't afford to fight them as well. So, they would probably ignore him and even if they didn't, they would end up with another large village trying to destroy them. With Narudo and girls, Narudo yawned loudly as he sat in a treetop, gazing at the verdant landscape he'd grown so familiar with. He was supposed to be out searching for enemy ninja or any other threats to his group. But instead, he'd been teaching Kusha how to use her sensory abilities, and she'd mastered them perfectly. She was just like Karen, the girl in Sasuke's group, who possessed all those incredible abilities the Usuzamaki clan was famous for. "How are things down there? Can you still feel anything?" Narudo asked, knowing Kusha would have difficulty using her sensory abilities. She might have possessed the skills, abilities, and everything else the Usuzamaki clan had along with that girl Karen, but she had extremely large chakra reserves, and something like sensory abilities required a lot of chakra control, so it would take her time to perfect them. I don't smell anything, Narok Quinn. What about you? Do you smell anything? Kusha asked as she stopped concentrating her chakra and sighed deeply. She looked at her friend and saw her inhaled deeply along with her ninja dog. "No, I don't smell anything. The only things we can smell are the plants and animals in the area, but the giraffe might make us miss something. What about you, Makoto? Do you see anything?" Some asked as she began to pet her ninja dog. She loved the little one and was sure that one day he would grow into a big, strong ninja dog like his father's. Makoto scanned her surroundings with her sharing gun before deactivating it and turning back to her team. "I don't see anything," Narudo sensei. "It really seems like Kumo will stay out of the war for now," Makoto said, still leaning against the tree where they had gathered. "Okay, let's go." But that was all Naro could manage before a gigantic explosion shook the ground beneath them, sending Kusha and some sprawling on their rear ends. While Makoto nearly lost her balance as well, Narudo easily withstood the earth's movement despite being in a tree that swayed more than necessary. "What on earth was that?" Makoto said, trying to free her trembling legs. She had never felt anything like it. It was almost as if a thousand paper bombs had exploded at once, but she thought even that was an understatement. "I don't know, but I sense a really bad chakra coming from behind us toward our base." Narudo shouted as he jumped up and ran toward their base. He hadn't sensed the bad chakra before because he hadn't been gathering his chakra, but now that he did, he could feel the powerful source of chakra in the distance. She knew she'd sensed this chakra before, but she didn't know where she'd felt it. It felt dark, almost malevolent, but not unbearable. She needed to figure out what was going on to make sure the girls were all right and that the old man wasn't trying to take advantage of them. Kusha was very surprised by Naruto's reaction to the ground tremor, but she knew he was a much better sensor than she was. She could only hope her allies were all right. Even though she didn't truly feel like a leaf shinobi, in reality, she would always be a ninja of Yizhioakure, no matter what others thought. Makoto was surprised that her sharing hadn't detected any chakra signatures when she activated it. She leaped from tree to tree with the charing gun active, but even then she couldn't make out what she was seeing. It seemed like she was looking at a giant antill suspended in the air with countless tiny chakra signatures wandering inside. Yet, strangely, it was moving. Makoto didn't understand what was happening, but she dismissed it until she figured it out. Some didn't like the smell. Before, the air had been fresh with the scent of nature, but now her nose was filled with the smell of blood and earth. She knew she should be worried and hoping her companions were all right. But something told her it would have been pointless. "We're approaching the clearing where the castle used to be," Narudo said, looking ahead with his charing gun activated. But even with it, he couldn't see any traces of chakra where the castle had stood. It was worrying to say the least, but he knew it was the only thing he could do right now. previously standing on the wall surrounding the castle occupied by the leaf shinobi. Two guards laughed as one of them pointed toward the sky, prompting the other to do the same. When they both looked up, they saw something gigantic flying with what appeared to be wooden birds swirling around it. "What the hell is that?" one of the men asked as he approached the edge of the wall, squinting to get a better look. He had never seen anything like it, and all he could say was that this was what he imagined Kenoha would be like if it could fly. The man was plain looking with no distinguishing features other than his average brown hair. He had dark brown eyes, wore a black A&BU uniform, and a dark green bulletproof vest draped over his shoulders. His build was also average, but his head was slightly larger than the average person's body. I don't know, but I heard Sonagir was experimenting with a new flight jutzu, so maybe this is what they came up with," the other man said as he watched the flying creature draw ever closer. He had no idea what was going on, but he had a feeling it wasn't good. This man had very short, dark black hair, revealing the skin beneath. His eyes were cold black, while his skin was as pale as the moon. He dressed exactly like the brown-haired man, but wore a forehead protector around his waist, like a belt. If that were true, why doesn't it have the symbol of Sunir? I suppose any village with something like that in its army would be thrilled to show it off, the brown-haired man said as he observed the flying fortress. It had a giant face on its facade, but there was no symbol he could recognize. "Perhaps we should report this. I don't think letting this thing get any closer is a good idea until we know whether it's friend or foe, said the black-haired man as he watched the gigantic metal fortress drawing ever closer. Yes, I think you're right, said the brown-haired man as he turned to jump off the wall when the blackhaired man grabbed him by the back of his bulletproof vest. What? asked the brown-haired man as he turned around, only to feel life draining away from him. We're dead," said the black-haired man as he watched a large beam of yellow energy form in front of the entrance to the flying fortress. Before either of them could say anything, the beam shot out, causing a powerful explosion that engulfed the fortress and its surroundings. Up in the flying fortress, Shinno was a very determined man, and the idea of ruling the world and exacting revenge was something he could never have passed up. After the second Hokag destroyed the land of the sky for defying the power of the five great nations, Shinno was enraged by the conflict this brought to his people. But he was cunning and patient. Gradually, he grew stronger and guided his people toward realizing their true power, the power the second Hokag had feared. It took them years, but they finally managed to fully rebuild their village and regain control of the Zero Tales leech to feed it. Now it was time for the world to witness the power of their village. Gazing upon the castle occupied by the hidden leaf village ninja in the land of frost, he could only scoff at their primitive fighting style. The five great nations had ruled for far too long and believed their ancient barbaric methods would suffice to stop them this time. But without supremely powerful ninja like Madara Achiha, Izzuno Aiha, Hasharamaju, Tobaramaju or other ninja to stand against them, these pathetic ninja would fall like blades of grass before a lawnmower. Shino had waited his entire life to become the leader of his village. And now that he was, he craved only total dominion over the entire world. But even he knew it was a risky gamble and that he would need the cooperation of others to achieve it. Therefore, when a representative from the land of stone approached them with an offer to finance them if they helped destroy the land of whirlpools, they were more than willing to accept. The land of whirlpools was a threat not only to them personally, but also to the world and its balance of power. They quickly demonstrated that a single village had the potential to become a power on par with the great villages, which posed a problem for the latter. If this were to happen, the clans might believe they no longer needed their villages and attempt to secede. This could cause the world to regress to the era of the great clan wars. And it would also mean that civilian ninjas would be in trouble because the clans wouldn't want them. If the clans began to form their own factions, and there was no central government, they would be quickly annihilated. Therefore, the hidden mist, stone, and sky villages were going to attack and destroy the land of whirlpools to prevent it from becoming a bigger problem in the future. The land of sky also had another reason for wanting to destroy the land of whirlpools. While they had invented some rather interesting seals that could do amazing things like extract all the dark chakra from the zero-ailed leech to power their flying fortress, the land of whirlpools was renowned for its skill with seals and could possibly be the solution to the problem of the zero-ailed leech damaging the seals they had invented to keep it in place. It was truly annoying when the zero-ailed leech became agitated, accumulating enough chakra to attempt to possess someone. It would usually destroy a section of the seal, meaning someone had to be possessed by the leech while they repaired the seal, and then they had to reseal it. Though, it would often fight until its host's body died, something they weren't exactly proud of. So, if they destroyed the land of whirlpools, they could find where the leech stored its seal information and thus gain the ability to completely control it for their own benefit. "The dark laser lord is ready," said one of the ninjas beside Shino with a smile. It was clear he was pleased to have killed some of the ninjas who had destroyed his home so long ago. "Fire!" Shinno said with a smile on his face. "Yes, sir!" shouted the man who had an equally wide smile on his face. "Normal viewpoint." Before any of the ninjas inside the castle could prepare to defend themselves, the flying fortress unleashed a powerful beam of energy that struck the castle's forehead, causing a powerful explosion that shook the ground around it and created a mushroom-shaped cloud in the air. The fire was caused by a rapid increase in air temperature. This caused the grass, trees, and any other objects it struck to overheat and ignite. The heat was so intense that it incinerated everything within 200 m of the explosion site. When the dust cloud finally dissipated, nothing remained but a gigantic scorch mark on the earth with a large hole in its center. Shinno was certain that after a few months of rain, the hole would become a new river or lake so that the land of frost would always remember this moment. "Perfect," said Shinno as he looked at the destruction they had caused. Sir, I think I should remind you that the leech needs time to accumulate enough dark chakra for us to use that attack. We should probably save it until we're attacked or reach Yizu Shogakir, said one of his lieutenants while reading a chart that indicated the chakra levels the flying fortress possessed. I understand, Shinno said, waving him off as if he were a nuisance. Now, everyone, get ready. We're going to show the ninjas of Yizhio who the new ruler of these lands is. Shinno shouted, causing all the other ninjas in his command center to erupt in cheers and shouts. Well, he gave in. He hated to admit it, but younger boys, minor to him, if not physically, had convinced him of a more direct approach to dealing with the massive flying fortress in the sky. He'd voted to return to the village and tell his superiors. But his jinnon voted for a more extreme idea. That thought drove them to climb ropes toward the flying fortress above their heads. Any normal person who saw this would consider them idiots. It would only take one ninja, whether flying or just watching from the side, to see three jinnon, a wolf dog, and a Jonan who looked like a jin climbing toward them. They were easy prey, and Narudo knew it. A simple rope cut and Humpty Dumpty would fall and break every bone in their bodies. Of course, he was surprised they hadn't been discovered already. Normally in a fortress like this where the main command was sensory, the ninjas were stationed inside a ceiling system that reinforced their abilities. But given the little attention they received, this one probably didn't have such a thing. How strange. While sensory ninjas weren't common, they weren't extremely rare either. There should have been at least two or three ninjas in this group with good innate perceptive abilities. Perhaps they simply lacked the knowledge or training to develop that skill. In any case, Narudo was grateful they hadn't noticed. Climbing the ropes wasn't easy, but they were making progress. It was the hardest part, and some, given that she'd had to use ninjutsu to turn her ninja dog into a copy of herself so she could climb the rope, was worried that the strain on her chakra could be a problem if she took too long. H. Narudo lowered his gaze, his eyes nearly popping out of their sockets. Kusha must have lost control or something because now she could barely hold one hand. With the wind raging at that altitude and the fortress advancing, Harry knew they were in trouble. Sensei Kusha won't make it. Makoto shouted. She had been using her charing gun to make sure they weren't seen, but the wind was drying out her eyes and the loss of chakra was becoming noticeable. Narudo did something crazy. He let go of his own rope and began to fall. Sum and Makoto screamed in fear as their Jonan instincts seemed to suddenly turn suicidal. In the right position, Narudo managed to catch Kusha just after she let go and grab the rope with his other hand. He bit his lip, trying to ignore the sting of the rope on his fingers. He concentrated all his strength on holding on to Kusha and not letting go. Finally, he managed to resist the gust of wind and secure her to the rope again. Are you okay? Naruto had to shout because of the wind. Yes. Kusha was a little shocked, but she couldn't be the one to hinder the mission. Great. We're almost at the top. Hang on a little longer. Makoto andsum watched as Narudo rescued his partner. They quickly continued climbing the ropes with renewed determination. Deep down, they made a mental note to buy some fingerless gloves. Climbing the rope like that was a real nightmare. Triple X. When they reached the summit, they stopped. Everyone caught their breath, but Narudo was already scanning the area. He didn't see any enemy ninja nearby, though he could spot some in the distance patrolling certain areas. He heard something approaching and quickly leaped onto his students, slamming them against the steel floor. The roar of a glider speeding past was all they heard before Naro allowed them to climb back up and look around. It seems they're using those gliders to patrol the edges of the village and the remaining ninjas to protect the intersections. That's good. It means we don't have to worry about being spotted, taken aside, and interrogated while we're out there. Kusha also looked around before turning to Narudo. But won't they recognize us? I mean, we don't exactly look like we're from around here. Narudo made a hand sign before a cloud of smoke enveloped him. When it disappeared, Narudo resembled the enemy celestial ninja he had seen earlier. Clothing, facial features, and forehead protector all in one place. The transformation technique, also known as hinge, may be said to be a useless technique, but in reality, it is an essential technique, almost indispensable for those who train in the art of espionage and spying. The girls blushed slightly at that. They'd all said at some point that it was stupid for the academy to only teach the three core jutzu, calling them useless and silly. Now, it seemed those techniques were vital to their survival as shinobi. You heard that? People stopped criticizing the shinobi system. However, they were still unhappy. They hadn't seen a single female sky ninja yet, which led them to believe that perhaps the land of the sky was sexist, believing that only men were capable of being useful shinobi. If that were the case, they would enjoy sinking this place. Wow, you look like three guys. Bam. Hit pop. Narudo lay on the ground with three knots in his head where the three girls disguised as boys had beaten him. He didn't realize that in his mindset about the possibility of a sexist village against his own gender, he had detonated a bomb by giving them a target to vent their frustrations on. After recovering from the beating he'd just received from a woman, Narudo stood up and looked around. The place was enormous. He noticed a strange formation in the layout of this fortress. In the center was a huge spiral tower that rose toward the sky, while around it were four large pieces attached to its base like a belt, though each corner seemed detachable. Of course, the place was so enormous that there were even buildings built on top of these large connected structures. From what he could see, each one served a specific purpose. The one pointing north was some kind of airirst strip for those flying machines. The large crates and things being piled into the western one probably belong to a huge warehouse, but the other two were a mystery to him. He suspected that one of them might house a prison or an interrogation center. Where do we go first? Go to the power room and plant paper bombs. Remove all the materials. or better yet, find out who's leading this operation and eliminate them. A bead of sweat trickled down Naruto's cheeks. Kagami wasn't kidding when he said Tofu's daughter was a demon. She reminded him a lot of Ka, but not nearly as much of an idiot. Sorry, I can't. Narudo reprimanded lightly. We have to act like professionals, gather information, draw up a plan, and then strike when they're off guard. Then we should investigate this place a bit. To begin with, what are their plans? What are they looking for? What is their military strength? How many are there? Are there civilians on this ship? Or are they all ninjas? Makoto needed to get straight to the point. Even so, she was right. They were deep in enemy territory, and the slightest mistake could be disastrous. What are you for doing? Everyone froze at that. They turned slowly. A man wearing a Sky Earth forehead protector was looking at them with an annoyed expression. His vest was slightly different, indicating that he was probably of a higher rank. I told all four of you to stop slacking off. He pointed a batten at the disguised Narudo. You were supposed to be helping the medical team. Then he pointed at Makoto and Kusha. You two were supposed to be helping with the laundry in section 7. Finally, he turned some and you were supposed to be helping the mechanics on the flight. Three hangers. Narudo, Kusha, Makoto, and some exchanged confused glances. The man seemed to notice, but only grew angrier. "Unless the four of you want to spend some time in DNI, I suggest you get moving." "Yes, sir." They all ran in opposite directions, but they all read Naruto's silent words that don't worry, I'll find them soon. That made them feel much better as they ran off in random directions, not really knowing where they were supposed to go. Triple X. Even though they were told to help with the laundry. Did they really need a ninja to help them? Wow, how understaffed was this place, they still had no idea where they were supposed to go. Needless to say, they ended up wandering around for a while. This place is a mess, Cushina said as they walled off a steel grading walkway. It seemed regular steel was too much, and instead they needed these rudimentary grading walkways. It must have been a nightmare trying to move things from one room to another. Kusha, lower your voice, Mikoto whispered. Don't forget you look like a man, but you speak like a woman. It would be strange if those who are supposed to know you noticed such a sudden change in tone. Mikoto lowered her head, a mischievous look crossing her face. Or you could always tell people you're a crossdresser. Kusha was about to explode at Makoto when someone called out to them. Turning around, they saw another sky ninja watching them. What are you doing? You were supposed to be here an hour ago. Makoto and Kusha exchanged a quick glance. Makoto decided to speak first since she could use chakra to alter her voice slightly and make it sound less feminine. Yes, that's right. I'm sorry. Have we lost our way on life's journey? There had never been a time when Kusha wanted to slap someone more than now. For some reason, that statement enraged her without even considering the possibility of being discovered and dying. The sky ninja didn't seem too pleased either. Well, because of your little trip, the Thunderbirds unit is using the baths. Kusha and Makoto's side, happy not to have to do laundry before Naro found them. So, now we'll have to pick up their clothes while they shower. It was as if the world had collapsed around them. Their brains tried to process searching for dirty laundry and naked men showering simultaneously, but they couldn't. Ignoring their rigid stairs and petrified bodies, the sky ninja positioned himself behind the costumed girls and pushed them forward. Kusha and Makoto fell flat on their faces. Fortunately, their transformation technique hadn't dissipated before slowly raising their eyes. A deep blush spread across their fake faces as their adolescent eyes took in grown men walking around naked as if nothing were a mess. Makoto. Yeah, I don't want to be here right now. Me neither. Hey you two, stop whispering and get to work, said the sky ninja as he stepped aside and grabbed a laundry basket. Makoto and Kusha followed him with robotic movements until they each had a laundry basket. everything would have been fine. They would have left, washed their clothes, tried to forget what they had seen, and gone to sleep, only to wake up the next day and vomit. It wasn't until two of the men decided to mess with the ninja, who was obviously alone, that things changed. Hey losers, are you forgetting something? Makoto looked back just as a pair of panties hit her in the face. Kushet didn't look back, so she wasn't hit in the face, but she still got hit on the head. Shadows fell over both girls' eyes as the men roared with laughter at their suffering. "You are? What was that, loser? I couldn't hear you." He said, "You're dead." It was as if a space-time ninjutsu had been used because one second Kusha and Makoto were standing there angry as hell while they were laughed at, and then the next they were on top of the guys whose underwear had landed on them, beating them to death. This wasn't your typical beating either. These men had ruined something for them. All the women wanted to believe that at least there were decent men out there. But after seeing these disheveled losers with their hair in the wrong place, fat, short, and unckempt, they could barely hold on to their lunch, let alone the image of the perfect man. Even some men who were nearby, but hadn't participated in what was happening, were dragged into the scene and beaten. Just for being involved, just for being disgusting, they were beaten. Finally, the man who was helping them with their clothes managed to pull the two angry women away from the bloodied and bruised men. All right. All right, that's enough. First, he took Makoto out and then Kusha as well. We'll talk about this later. Just grab your baskets and get out. Makoto quickly grabbed her basket and ran off quickly followed by Kusha. Damn, I've never seen anyone fight like that, said one of the boys who hadn't been beaten up. What are those special operations agents? No, they're just privates. Seeing them escape, he had to admit they were skilled. Perhaps they need a promotion. Triple X. Surprisingly, some was able to find the perches on her own without being dragged along. She attributed this mainly to her keen sense of smell. Even so, she was starting to tire a little of maintaining the transformation technique that made her ninja dog resemble her. It was no surprise that Sum had no real knowledge of engineering or anything like that. Luckily, while wandering around, he came across another woman, though he couldn't tell her apart since Tum was disguised as a man and was willing to teach her the basics. Don't worry about not knowing anything. Luma said as she walked through the hanger. Most of the people who send me here have done little more than pick up and throw canai. They think just four or five engineers can keep this place running with a few extra hands. Huh? Right. Luma was a woman, very robust. She wasn't fat, but she was enormous in terms of muscle mass. Her arms reminded Sum of bodybuilders. Her gate was powerful thanks to her massive muscles, and even her voice was a bit deeper than Sum would have imagined. If Tsum didn't know, she would have guessed that Luma was a man, or almost a man, if you know what I mean. From what Tsum could see, she seemed to be in charge in the hangers. What's more, she knew a lot from who was supposed to do what to who was good at what. She even yelled at some of those who were slacking off, even though they were obviously shinobi and she was just a civilian. As they walked through the hangar, some thought a little reconnaissance would be a good idea. So, Luma, are you from the land of the sky or are you here just for work? Luma stopped dead in her tracks and stared at her with a strange expression. Some was suddenly sweating profusely. Had she said something wrong? Oh no. What if they discovered she wasn't really an ally and betrayed her? Ah, she really hoped Narudo sensei would save her in the worst case scenario. You must be a new recruit for the land of the sky if you don't know that. Know what? Luma simply sighed. Look at all these workers. Tell me what you see. Some obeyed. She looked toward the large hanger and observed the interactions between the people. At first, she didn't understand what Luma was talking about. But little by little, she began to notice a division. Ordinary civilians were almost afraid of the shinobi, even those who did the same work as them. Now that I looked around, I could see that the ordinary civilian population, at least there, was very small compared to the Shinobi population. Furthermore, there was an almost complete ethnic difference between the two factions. The skying ninjas were pale and looked sickly, while the civilians were a bit more tanned, though they looked hungry. There seems to be a division. Luma nodded. Yes, these people come from a village in the land of snow. They were kidnapped from their homes to be used as mechanics and engineers here. Are you one of them? Luma sighed deeply and nodded. Yes, I was one of them, and it's only thanks to me that they're treated so well. Before they were treated much more like slaves, but I managed to convince the superiors that if they were treated better, the quality of the work would improve. And did they go for it? It seems they have very ambitious plans. She ran a hand through her short hair. I don't know what they're up to, and I'm not particularly interested in finding out, but if I had to guess, I'd say they're going to use this place as a siege weapon. Some glared at his partner with irritation. Could this war possibly get any more complicated? They already had to worry about IWA. Sunno was acting strangely. Mist was embroiled in a civil war. Cloud was like a wolf lurking in the shadows, ready to pounce on a weakened elemental nation. Kohaa was the primary target, and even they had internal problems. Pop. Some looked back and saw that his ninja dog had reverted to its true form. He began to panic when a sky ninja approached and started spinning toward them. As quick as lightning, he delivered a karate chop to the back of the head, knocking him unconscious. As he fell, he pushed him into a room and quickly closed the door. His ninja dog swiftly reverted to its hinge form just as Luma turned and looked at them with a puzzled expression. You know, you two are an odd couple. You know that? You have no idea. Triple X. Narudo staggered out of the medical wing. He didn't really have much to do there because up until now they'd been using air strikes to land, which reduced the need for close quarters combat. With so few casualties, Narudo was allowed to take the day off. He simply wandered around, making sure to avoid everyone as much as possible while he explored the area. He had already created two shadow clones to search for his team. He didn't dare create anymore for fear of being discovered. As much as he wanted them to be all right, he could only wait for the moment. No alarms had sounded and there were no ninjas running around, so he assumed no one knew what was going on yet. While she was worrying, she got a little lost. The corridor she was walking down was made of pure steel, which gave it a really cold feel. At the end of the corridor, she felt something cold. squinting, she began to scan the corridor to see what was on the other side. And I said, "If you're going to look like a bomb, shout at least have some manners." The man burst out laughing, even though his joke wasn't funny. Three men were walking along the path toward the core of their floating fortress. But unfortunately, the lead researcher was a bit of a joker. A clever fellow. Terrible jokes. It was torture for the ears. Seriously, you should stop making up your own stuff. One of the bodyguards replied as he turned the corner. I've never heard anything so bad. The oldest of the three deflated a little. Ah, come on. You know you want to laugh. The youngest pressed some buttons on an automated electronic security system before a loud beep sounded. He looked at the oldest of the three and shook his head. No, we won't. The older man simply snorted, thinking that these kids nowadays simply wouldn't be able to recognize true comic book genius when it was presented to them on a silver platter. Great. Don't miss it. He stepped forward just as the metal door opened to give them access. Thank you, Slash. Finally. Narudo detached himself from the ceiling as the small group passed by. He felt a little cheated in a way because he'd strained his ears to hear them when they were farther away. But all he got were that idiot's bad jokes. Too much to gather information. Landing silently on both feet, the super ninja walked to the metal door. With a grin, he quickly typed in the same password he'd seen the young man use a second before. There was a flash of green just before the door opened. Naruto's eyes widened at what he saw. It was a huge cylindrical room with few jutsu symbols like runes carved from top to bottom. In the center of the cylindrical room was what looked like a large cocoon with something dark inside. Around the cocoon were people with computers, chemistry sets, and other equipment. One of the sky ninjas turned and looked at the door. It was closed and no one was there. It was strange. He could have sworn he'd heard it open a second ago. Odd, but nothing to worry about. He turned back and continued watching the investigators. Standing high above inside one of the great symbols was Narudo using the carved rune as a hiding place while he spied on the people below. What are these people doing? Triple X. Down below, Dr. Ling stood in front of the other researchers and spoke through a microphone so that everyone could hear him. Testing, testing. All the other scientists and ninjas turned to face him. Subject 001, the zerotale leate, also known as the source. We will now begin operation darkness. Four sky ninjas approached and turned their backs to the large bundle of webbing. A single thread stretched between the four of them and connected to the base of their heads where the skull and spinal cord met. Slowly, a dark purple chakra emerged from the bundle and then flowed into the sky ninja. Suddenly, the sky ninja's skin turned gray and his muscles began to bulge. They grew larger. His lips turned black and his eyes glowed with an intense purple. Gradually, a dark veil enveloped him until his almost demonic appearance completely enveloped him. Success. The lead scientist jumped up and down like a clown. The test to incarnate the dark chakra of the shinobi worked. He was practically awarding himself a prize. Now our shinobi will be unstoppable. All the scientists started standing up and congratulating each other. It was all congratulations Dr. So and so or this is incredible Dr. So and so they were so proud of themselves it was disgusting. One of the scientists looked towards the four shinobrod. He looked up from the sky and saw them staring. He didn't understand why they were doing that but they started to move. There was some kind of strange communication between the four of them. More like grunts than anything else. What's going on? The dark sky. Shinobi said nothing. They simply crouched for an instant before suddenly launching themselves forward at incredible speed and height. They crashed through the top of the room, sending shards of stone tumbling down and scattering the scientists and their guards. What are they doing? They must have gone mad. Someone call command and tell them the experiment has gotten out of control. Right away, sir. One of the sky shinobi ran to inform the command. Triple xx. A large pile of rubble shook for a moment before a huge slab was pushed upward and slid down. The timetraveling body switching shinobi crawled out of the wreckage, rubbing his head in pain. He certainly hadn't seen that happen. How did they find me? At one point, he was spying from a strategic position using various techniques to conceal his presence and appearance. Suddenly, for fully equipped sky ninjas were slamming him into a meter of concrete and a net of rods. There were loud creeks that made Naro turn around. There, staring back at him with their purple eyes were the sky ninjas brimming with energy. They didn't seem to want to participate in a tea party either. What are you for doing? It's best to pretend to be an innocent victim. Perhaps you just made a mistake. I'm a sky ninja like you. Well, maybe not like the four of you, but we were on the same side. They said nothing. In fact, they had a kind of zombie-like body language and simply attacked him without restraint. Narudo quickly did a backflip to dodge the first punch, but had to duck immediately to avoid the next one. He didn't see the third one attacking by surprise and delivering the classic two-handed punch from the side. It was quite painful and sent him flying through three buildings. The painful landing on the street gave him no respit as the fourth plane fell on top of him, carrying with it several hundred kilos of pain. The crack in his chest indicated that he had at least two broken ribs. I can't hold back against these guys, Naro thought as he stabbed the dark sky ninja in the leg. The ninja didn't even react. And as soon as Narudo pulled out his canai, he healed himself using a disgusting looking black liquid. Yuck. The dark sky ninja simply thrust his foot back and kicked Naro in the side. The force of the kick was enormous. As Narudo swallowed a mouthful of concrete before coming to a stop, overcoming the pain in his side, back, and ribs, Narudo dodged one of his enemies, but threw a paper bomb at him before leaping away. Another dark ninja appeared and stood next to the first one on the right as it exploded. The mess was anything but pleasant. Ro Gaga. What the hell was that? Narudo looked around to make sure the other two dark sky ninjas weren't about to pounce on him before going to check. He crawled to a house and looked down. There was a man standing there hugging one of the dark ninjas and seemingly absorbing his chakra. Once he had done this, he let go and the burly man fell to the ground like a stone. There go two down and two more forward. Sir, reports indicate that the other two are dead. It seems they encountered some explosions and didn't survive. The dark-haired man ran a finger along his chin. Was it one of ours who killed them? No, sir. They became enraged and destroyed a small part of the village. One of the buildings they destroyed was a Shinobi supply store. We believe one of the paper bombs came from there and was activated by the dark chakra field they were emitting. Okay, clean up the mess and get the crowd under control. I'll head back to the control room to make sure the damage seal didn't give the Zero Tales a chance to escape. That's correct, sir. Narudo didn't know what dark chakra was, nor what the Zero Tales was, but he knew right then and there that he would have to find out. This place was far more dangerous than he had initially thought. In any case, he needed to find his team. Faced with a danger like this, he had to keep a close eye on them to make sure they weren't hurt or worse, killed.
